Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Excellent location, clean and tidy, comfortable for all guests. Easy self service access to the room keys.
Parking at the rear of the property can be awkward, limited but good access at the front.
Very clean comfortable property
Two flights of stairs to climb with a disabled person. No teaspoons available and the tv remote control didnt work.
Basic but clean and had all i needed. Great location for Trent Bridge
Nothing
Very quiet environment.
Not enough parking. This is difficult as all streets are resident parking zones. The layout isn’t clear and you may feel like you’re wandering around areas of the property you shouldn’t be in just to find your room!
The bed was extremely comfortable Having a fan in the room helped to keep us cool The windows were great Loved having the tv
Trash bag could be a little deeper
Właściciel nas zignorował , nie otrzymaliśmy kodu do drzwi ani zwrotu za rezerwację ! OSZUŚCI !!!
Location
Excellent location with free parking Rooms basic but everything you need for an overnight stay. The room was very clean which is the main thing, could do with new flooring as it was tired looking . Would definitely stay again .
We were on the top floor and the stairs are quite steep so if we stayed again we would ask for a room lower down but it didn’t affect our stay
This is my third time when i am staying at this property. It’s location it’s rooms everything amazing that makes me book the same place while visiting Nottingham
Our room was up 2 sets of stairs and there was not enough parking even though they advertised that there is parking for each flat Definitely not enough, as we have to risk a parking ticket for one of The the nights
It was within the location of where I wanted, across the road from good shops
Basement, but was pleasantly surprised of how airy and spacious the room is
Nothing
Very Disappointing Experience – Misleading Parking Information I feel it is important to share my experience. I never actually stayed at the hotel because, upon arrival, I discovered there was no parking available despite the property advertising parking facilities. After spending considerable time searching the surrounding area without success, I was forced to make alternative arrangements and book a room at another hotel. The lack of available parking completely disrupted our plans. I lost approximately three hours of valuable daylight that I had intended to spend exploring Nottingham with my family. To make matters worse, I specifically asked a member of staff, Alex, whether I should cancel and book elsewhere. His response was, "Yea please feel free to cancel." Based on this advice, I made a new booking at a different hotel. Fortunately, the alternative hotel was able to accommodate us and helped save my daughter's birthday celebration, as we already had tickets booked for Jazz at Peggy's. Had I remained searching for parking, we would likely have missed our plans entirely. I requested a full refund with no deductions or cancellation fees. The situation was not caused by me, but by the lack of available parking despite it being advertised as part of the hotel's offering. Completely ignored. 6 emails sent and nothing. All the trouble for £119? These people really need all the money they can get as customer service and people skills are appalling. My final opinion: are you really going to book River Rooms Nottingham knowing that you may not have parking and loose your room/time/patience and possible all plans you had?
Great room, clean, spacious, modern
Probably a ine-off glitch, but: I hadn't received the entry instructions by the time I arrived (warly evening) and couldn't get hold of anybody. I did get a call back eventually and managed to get in. There's car parking but there were no spaces left, managed to find somewhere but there's not much street parking. Shame, because it's a great apartment!
The location suited my stay, the room was acceptable just not what I expected from the description provided.
Description provided suggested it had kitchen facilities, but when I arrived I discovered it did not and there was a communal kitchen. This was acceptable but not what I believed I'd signed up for. I contacted the company to discuss this on arrival via telephone message, text and e mail. I received no response to any of the three messages I sent.
Clean and simple. Excellent communication via Email from Garry.
Mattress a little tired, pardon the pun!
Everything
Very good
Nothing
Excellent location with parking. Comfortable bed. Easy check in.
Shower cubicle was rather small. Only a single room and not an apartment.
kon niet binnen
Kon het hotel in in.
Proximity to be able to walk to the city was good. Most of the things we needed were there and the full shared kitchen was handy.
Parking plan was tight but worked. Some who stay often may think they have preferential options. Understanding all the rooms were in one building on the road front took a bit of working out. Not a lot of milk for coffee
Location was perfect for us. Walking distance to city ground and places to eat. The pedestal fan was greatly appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable.
It was hard to find my room. The place is a rabbit Warren, a floor plan by the lock boxes would be helpful.
Acceptable location but v limited parking
Inability to self check in or contact the host. I had booked 2 separate rooms & the host kept seeing the PIN code for the same room. We were stuck outside the property for >1/2 hr & missed the event we planned to attend. The host should take this as a formal complaint & offer a refund.
Excellent location for West Bridgford and the City.
A bit difficult to access by car at first
The location
I think this accomodation is a bit of a scam. The photos are misleading in respect of the kitchen facilities. The parking is non-existent. The communication was terrible. We had no hot water during our stay - avoid.
Not noisy or busy
No signeage for the rooms so at first was difficult to locate. Parking was a bit tight.
La situation/position de River Room dans la ville de Nottingham. Près des commerces et de mes centres d'intérêt
Isolation sonore pourrait être meilleure (par rapport à la circulation de la voie Raddcliff Road et vis à vis des autres appartements.
Excellent for location for Trent Bridge.
This is the 3rd time at River Rooms. Always been a great stay. Unfortunately this time it was very poor. Parking was a massive issue, seriously tight spaces, had to wait for one to become available, then got blocked in by a van! Room (12) was an attic room, very claustrophobic. For tall people this was not good, beams all around and above the bed. Bathroom had a strong smell of sewage.
Perfect for the cricket
The parking was hard
The room smelt of smoke, decor not as per images and parking tight. Due to this, we’re in the process of requesting a refund.
I chose it for its location as we were attending a cricket match at Trent Bridge. It was perfect for that. It was clean.
The room and the bathroom were small. The bathroom had no shelf or anywhere to put toiletries. It was very noisy because of the road noise and because of the proximity to the McDonald's just across the road. Also the noise from the other apartments was bad. Parking to the rear of the property was extremely tight for a big car and the additional gravel parking area mentioned in the instructions had either been fenced off or was very well hidden! Generally poor value for money.
Location clean comfortable and felt safe
Mix up allocated a room no key in box some one in room had to ring guy did come and gave a new room though
How close it was to everything
No hot water first nite but was fine rest of the time
Room perfect for family of 3 (adjoining room), good price and only a 5 minute taxi ride into Nottingham centre.
Needed to open the windows as it was very hot weather but due to being on a main road it was quite noisy.
loads of free parking very private room
Location, comfortable room
Very hot on top floor and only 1 fan between 2 bedrooms. Car park too small
After reflecting on my experience I actually this this is a scam! The pictures in their advertising are of other restaurants/hotels. This is an apartment with key pad entry and they don’t send you an email to confirm code/access. When I called they sent me a text to say “in a team meeting, call back later” When I replied “I am outside and unable to enter my booking” they ignored me. After cancelling via Expedia, a transit van came over within minutes and tried to block me in the car park. PLEASE DONT BOOK this hostel! It’s not worth the effort
When we arrived we were told we weren’t staying here once they took the money
Appartement très propre et bien équipé.
Logement en dessous du niveau de la route, éclairage naturel très limité
We were in a bit of horrible basement room, the air con machine broke in the night
Parking description
Clean, tidy, modern
Parking was not acceptable. There was 1 space left tucked away in the back corner of the car park to which i was forced to try and park in. I reversed in and there was no way of me fitting or getting to the space. I have caught the front end of my car on one of the concrete fence posts trying to get back out of the car park and it has severely damaged my car due to the impossibly tight spaces of the car park. I was forced to park elsewhere.
Easy access, free parking, close to stores and the kitchen wax excellent.
It stated that it had a washing machine, which it didn’t.
Great location for cricket, really clean and comfy room
A lift as I'm not very good at climbing stairs but having said that I didn't ask for a lower floor so it wasn't the owners fault 👍
Efficient accommodation Clean Perfect
Location for the Trent Bridge cricket ground is excellent. Fan provided which was a help as weather extremely hot. Kettle in the room was very helpful. Spacious room. On site parking a great help. The access code and key box worked well to give us access to the room.
Kitchen facilities were not in the room/apartment. They were upstairs and quite a distance from our room. Our room was on the ground floor near the front door which was convenient. However it meant we were not happy to leave the windows open at night. We had to ask for a second reading lamp and a second chair but these were provided without a problem which was great. There is parking on site but the access is tight.
Very bad check-in process, lots of issues and things that don't work.
We wanted to be near the cricket at Trent Bridge. We could almost have rolled out of our beds and fallen in to the TB ground - almost. Keypad and code access was easy.
Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom but that’s very minor gripe, as is the fact that the dehumidifier had to be on all the time and the blue light at its top flashed all night.
Great location between the football and cricket stadiums with easy access, clean and a reasonable price. Decent overnight stay
Completely characterless room, quite small. Not a romantic venue
Great location for Trent Bridge cricket ground. Everything we needed in our room and access to a shared fully kitted out kitchen.
Parking is quite tight and reduced since our last visit.
Location and fully equipped
No parking despite saying there was. Had to pay £40 to park nearby . It looks like there were lots of spaces but now not many and reserved for cleaners
The location was convenient (but see below) The bedroom was very clean. The communal kitchen was well stocked with equipment.
The noise from the road was constant which was a shame. It disturbed my sleep (seems to be HGV's) so only stayed for 1 night not the 2 I'd booked. Being on the ground floor was an issue for me:- As a single woman, I think it would feel a bit more reassuring to be able to lock the windows as I was in the ground floor room. Some people passing by the bedroom were quite noisy - again a ground floor problem probably. I did wonder if a notice in the hallway about there being a bedroom there would help? Just a suggestion.
Really pleased with accommodation very close to Trent bridge cricket ground. Apartment very good and well equipped . Instructions great and clean and comfortable. The apartment advertises parking and pictures show many spaces but there are only about 6 and 3 of these are not accessible in a large car. We arrived 3 hours early and had to pay to park a fair walk away which defeated the object of accommodation.
Great property and there was parking
Having to pay for parking and road noise
The parking was only 4 spaces on the property and they was all full very difficult to park
Easy self check in. Room lovely and clean, comfy bed. Really appreciated good floor fan with the heat Fantastic location for bars and restaurants. Shower water always piping hot xx
Carpark a bit snug. Wouldn't be much good if you had big car. Shower shown in pictures wasn't what we got.
Not much
There was no parking and when I asked for help to try and find somewhere to park because I am new in Nottinghamshire no here at all
It was a convenient place for a visit to family in west bridgford.
A bit small
Clean & tidy, spacious room, comfortable bed
Will need additional parking elsewhere, if rooms are full, as only 5/6 spaces at rear of the property.
Nothing
Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The room was dirty and had a strange, unpleasant smell as soon as I entered. The toilet also had an unpleasant odour, and it was obvious that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, which made the room feel neglected and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, I appear to have been bitten by something during my stay, which was very concerning. The listing also advertises free parking, but this is quite misleading. The car park only has space for around five cars, and once it’s full there is virtually nowhere nearby to park. This caused a lot of inconvenience and stress.
Location for Watersports event
It felt a bit tired - floor cracked and bathroom in basement was very tired
did what was on the box. rooms functional, comfortable, clean
not EV charge point right nearby. Some at town center opposite cricket ground
Great location for our event at the water sports centre
Location
Could not sleep . Traffic noise incessant Window blind did not fit - light came through. Not a black out blind. Room 9
The staff are really bad house keeping really bad when i reach at door for check in no staff in hotel when i call they said varied your photo id email very rubbish house keeping come early from the check out they gonna shout check out choeck out first time very bad experience very bad
Nothing very bad atmospher
Nice clean tidy
Clean, practical facilities, great location, easy booking and access to property ,idiot proof...
Nothing
It is very easy to get the keys to the room.
There is no staff on site, people are free to play loud music in their rooms until the early hours of the morning and it is more like a hostel. We left in the middle of the night and found a new hotel.
Basic but clean toom
No parking space available. All taken when I arrived
It far exceeded my expectation for the price I paid. So clean and tidy and in a perfect location for me to go and watch the cricket.
The parking is limited and I think I got the last spot, may be a problem next time
Everything was perfect
No faults at all
The room was clean & spacious, suitable for our one night stay. It was easy to get into the property & in an area accessible to the city centre & surrounding areas.
We were in a basement room that had a small road level window & a portable condensation unit that was required to be on all the time, to keep the room from getting damp (we had to empty it during our stay). It was quite claustrophobic (for me personally) but we were only there for one night. The pillows were very poor, lumpy & uneven. The people above us were noisy, I think their kitchen was above our bed so the walking back & forth was a problem, especially as they left very early in the morning (which could happen in any property). Ample parking was available but tricky if you have a large car. None of my points are dealbreakers (apart from the pillows which would be an inexpensive problem to fix) & we would use the property again but would be sure to ask for a different room.
The house is in a good location. It has car parking although some of the spaces were quite tight. The room was of a good size. I would describe it as minimalist in decor. The price was fair for what is essentially a room in a large house.Although on a main road we were not disturbed by the traffic. Excellent location for all the sporting venues in West Bridgford. Mac Donald’s and a Wetherspoon in walking distance
No hooks for coats. A frame to put a suitcase on would be useful as there are no cupboards just a hanging rail Other than that it was fine.
Great location
No details to check in on arrival and no staff. No email was sent so had to call several times to just get into the property £25 to park opposite the property with very limited on site parking Room wasn’t clean
Rooms were clean and location was good
Parking was poor and if you could get a space there wasn't enough room to manoeuvre your car in and out of space. Rooms were as advertised but ok
Parking was bad, spaces were few and tight to get into. There was parking across the backyard, but you had to pay. Stairs were steep and narrow which made it awkward to get my suitcase up.
Location and it was fresh
Nothing
Great location, basic but adequate for short stays
could do with signage show room directions ,tight spaces for car parking
Location- was attending Nottingham Forest game
Contact attempts with owner Parking situation not clear
Will be booking next year .
Location, amenities, parking. No issues . Easy check in
All good. Great clean room. Great location
Noise from the road outside
Great location, nice and clean
Parking difficult as space tight for bigger cars Bathroom floor tiles all broken
Clean
Not a lot of- room had heating full on which we couldn’t turn off No parking No staff to talk to Felt like student accommodation
Easy book in and a very good location, close to stadiums, pubs and restaurants. The room was exactly what we needed for a date night as a couple. Great experience! Would recomend
Very clean and nicely presented I loved the kitchen facilities on offer also
Not the option to have later check out is unfortunately a bit of a dislike
Great location for city ground and Trent Bridge.
Top floor stairs v steep plus kitchen facilities 3 rooms away from our room. V much thought all in one apartment.
All that we required
Nothing, all as advertised.
It was clean and the communication was well organised. Good value for money and decent location. Good for us because we wanted to get to Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont early each morning. Also decent pubs and a really good Indian up the road and over the bridge. Would be great for the Cricket or either Football clubs.
The shared kitchen was slightly odd. Especially as there we lots of students using the facility because of a rowing event. Felt a bit like being in student halls. Also it's a converted old house and the floorboards creaked a lot which is an issue when people were coming back early in the morning. Also the rooms at the front face onto a busy road so opening the windows wasn't really and option.
Location and cleanliness.
Parking is very tight.
Proximity to place where I had plans
Booked early check in for 1pm, didn't receive access codes until 1:30pm after sending texts to the numbers I had for them and trying to call and message them via booking.com. Room was absolutely boiling because the radiator in the ensuite was broken and wouldn't turn off, I had to leave windows open all night so was quite loud from the nearby main road. Weird ticking noise all night. Mattress was clearly well-used and could hear the springs with every movement. Walls so thin I was woken up around 6 or 7am when other visitors started moving around - not the visitors fault as they weren't being loud, sound just really travelled. Parking was awkward to get out of due to very limited space. Also very expensive as despite requesting early check in was not informed of £14 extra charge until the day before at which point other options with parking weren't available so I couldn't cancel and book elsewhere. Will not be returning.
Can only comment on our overnight stay. Located a bus ride in to city centre.Good check in details. Straightforward. Knew parking was limited and tight (I'd Google mapped before booking) but we got in despite 2 football matches on. Our room on ground floor was ideal for us. Clean spacious. Didn't use WiFi or tv. Would use again.
Had to send photo id for booking, not a problem so did so. Checked emails on day for access. Nothing. Text them they couldn't find our id email sent 10 days prior Resent id. They immediately sent me details. Then straight forward check in.
On what planet is this a 3 star hotel? Don't be fooled, this place is more like a hostel. The room was clean and functional, but more like a student digs than a hotel. I stayed here out of necessity, but found it overpriced (£114 for the night) and disappointing. You can hear every word and footstep of people walking down the narrow corridor outside the rooms, which at best is an irritation, at worst will wake you from your sleep. The car park is tiny and awkward. Anything larger than a Fort Fiesta and you'll struggle.
Its in a great location, right beside Trent Bridge cricket ground. The communication from the host, the instructions and the ease of access were exceptionally good. The room was spotless, well appointed and very comfortable. The bed was outstanding.
Nothing
Comfy
Bathroom stank as soon as we walked in after checking in. Smelt like someone just used it before we walked in.
Nice and clean room in good location.
Would be nice to have a ramp for suit cases at front door entrance.
Location
No hot water in bathroom basin Carpark difficult to use
Comfortable room and great location with parking
Location ideal for cricket at Trent Bridge
Had to evacuate the building for a fire alarm at 5.30am on Saturday morning. Security took 20 minutes to get to property. Said it was caused by someone in a basement room who had set off smoke alarm and happens every now and then the last one being at 3am. Needs sorting out some how.
