Bardzo polecam na odpoczynek, szczególnie po tłocznym i absorbującym Tokio. Polecam pokoje z wanną na tarasie - świetny odpoczynek, nawet w deszczowa aurę. Świetne śniadania i kolacje (skorzystaliśmy zarówno z grilla jak i z hotpot). Onseny cudowne. Prywatne również. Uwielbiam piżamy które udostępnia obiekt. Bardzo miły i pomocny personel dostosował pokoje zgodnie z moją prośbą oraz sprawnie pomógł nam z odzyskaniem pozostawionych przez nieuwagę przedmiotów.

Jest troszkę staroświecki ale mnie to się akurat podobało.

Très belle expérience dans un cadre typiquement japonais. La chambre était joliment décorée avec les portes coulissantes et les tatamis, et la vue sur la verdure était très agréable malgré une météo qui ne nous a malheureusement pas permis d’en profiter pleinement. La chambre était de taille correcte et confortable pour deux personnes. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié que le personnel ait préparé un lit bébé et une baignoire pour notre fille. Dans l’ensemble, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour et avons apprécié l’atmosphère traditionnelle de l’établissement.

The room was big and comfortable, onsen in the room as well as the private one were excellent, staff was helpful and there was a free shuttle bus that picked us up from the station.

Japanese dinner was okay, there were some dishes that we didn't really like and the wagyu beef wasn't the best quality. Our room showed signs of being old but it was quite clean.

Love the Japanese breakfast and dinner at this place. We stayed for 2 nights and tried both the hot pot and BBQ for dinner, they were both delicious and plentiful. all the staff at the hotel were so kind and polite, they speak very limited English but you can tell they are trying their best to understand and reply. I love how the hotel provides daily drinks at the lobby. They ranged from different vinegar/tea drinks to water from different sources and area (yes i was able to taste the difference but to my husband they are just water lol) The hotel also offers ice pops and yogurt drinks near their public onsen, late-night ramen, and acitivites for guests during obon week.

The hotel is tucked in the wood with winding roads and a big hill, we walked from the train station to the hotel with our luggage on check in day...a big mistake. if you can arrive between 2-5pm, the hotel has complementary shuttle from the station. but if you are like me, who arrived early but without a Japanese phone number, don't walk...just uber. i didn't know uber was available in Hakone until later. if you have a Japanese phone number, call the hotel and they will arrange a driver for pick up.

There were some spiderwebs on the ceiling and corners, which felt a bit uncomfortable.

今回、5〜6万円ほどで宿泊しました。繁忙期には10万円近くまで上がることもあるようなので、その価格帯を考えると、個人的には設備やサービスにかなり期待していました。 ・バルコニー周辺にカビのように見えるものがあり、廊下のカーペットにもシミがありました。 ・タオルに髪の毛が付いていました。5〜6万円の宿泊料金を考えると、清掃面で非常に残念でした。 ・部屋のエアコンの音がかなり大きく、夜も気になりました。 ・シャンプーなどのアメニティが、宿泊料金を考えるとそれほど良いものには感じませんでした。 ・スタッフの方々は丁寧ではありましたが、個人的にはそれほど親しみやすく、きめ細やかな接客とは感じませんでした。案内の際も場所を説明されるだけで、実際に案内していただくことはありませんでした。 ・食事処では、天井付近のビニールのようなものが風で揺れて、かなり大きなパタパタという音がしていました。食事中も気になり、雰囲気を損なっているように感じました。 ・食事は普通に美味しかったものの、追加料金8,800円を考えると、個人的には価格に見合うほど印象的ではありませんでした。 ・特に卵料理は、私にはあらかじめ混ぜて準備されたもののような、少し加工されたような食感・印象がありました。実際の調理方法は分かりませんが、出来立ての卵料理という感じがしなかったのが残念でした。 ・二部式の部屋着は用意されていましたが、浴衣が料金に含まれていなかったのも少し残念でした。旅館らしい体験を期待していたので、浴衣も含まれているものだと思っていました。 ・貸切風呂はとても便利でしたが、宿泊者全員が利用できるため、貸切風呂付きの高い部屋を選ぶメリットはあまり感じませんでした。 総評 お部屋の広さ・清潔さと、予約不要で利用できる貸切風呂は良かったです。 ただ、5〜6万円という宿泊料金を考えると、清掃・設備の手入れ・アメニティ・食事・接客など、全体的にもう少し上質であってほしいと感じました。 2〜3万円程度であれば「良い旅館だった」と思えたかもしれませんが、5〜6万円、さらに繁忙期には10万円近くになることを考えると、個人的にはコストパフォーマンスに疑問が残る滞在でした。

The private bath on the balcony is so worth it! Mornings and evenings on the balcony were the best part of the stay.

Big Japanese style room, very spacious for Japanese standards. Both dinner and breakfast were very fancy. We couldn't finish it all and there were so many different things to try. The onsen is only closed 3 hours every day; I recommend going early in the morning. Great views of the sun coming up behind the mountain in early morning.

Nothing major but as some other people have pointed out, there's a sulfurous smell around the property in the morning from the hot spring water.

Tranquility environment

An Unacceptable Experience in Hakone Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel has been the worst service experience we have had during our trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, the information provided by the staff was insufficient and unclear. The most serious issue happened at dinner time. During check-in, we were told that the hotel had a restaurant and were informed of its opening hours. However, at no point were we told that an advance reservation was mandatory in order to have dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant in the evening, we were told that we could not dine because we did not have a reservation. We explained several times that nobody had informed us about this requirement and that, had we known, we obviously would have made a reservation. We even showed the staff that by that time virtually all of the restaurants in the surrounding area were already closed and that we had no reasonable alternative for dinner. Despite this, there was no genuine effort to find an appropriate solution. The result was that, despite being hotel guests and traveling with my family, we were left without dinner because of a requirement that had never been communicated to us in advance. To be very clear, the issue is not that the restaurant has a reservation policy. Rules are perfectly understandable and easy to respect when they are properly communicated. The problem is that the hotel failed to inform us of this requirement upon arrival and, when the situation occurred, did not take responsibility for that lack of communication or provide an acceptable solution. For us, this represents a serious failure in both service and hospitality. Unfortunately, the facilities did not make up for the experience either. We found the onsen less comfortable than others we have visited in Japan, the sauna was not particularly hot, and overall the facilities were below what we expected considering the price.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits à Mizu no to avec ma femme et notre fille de 3 ans. La chambre de style japonais était spacieuse et confortable, le bain de source chaude sur la terrasse etait un vrai plus. Nous avions pris la formule petit déjeuner et dîner et c'était très bien. Attention, petit déjeuner salé, pour ceux qui ne sont pas habitués ca peut surprendre de voir un poisson grillé dans l'assiette dès le matin. L'hôtel etait très propre et le personnel très serviable. Aucun souci pour nous réserver un taxi vers la gare d’Odawara pour prendre nore train vers Kyoto. Petit plus egalement poir la navette qui nous attendais a la gare de Hakone Yumoto, ce qui nous a évité entre 15 et 20min de marche sur la petite route de montagne avec notre poussette et notre petite valise.

El hotel es increíble: baños privados, habitaciones grandes, comida tradicional, snacks y bebidas gratis… Recomendaría especialmente la habitación con baño privado. También los masajes. Uno de los mejores hoteles en los que hemos estado.

Lo único fue el desayuno, que era tradicional japonés y no se nos preguntó por otras opciones. Aunque hubiéramos elegido otras opciones, estaba igualmente bueno.

The dinners were amazing. So much food. The private onsens were also fabulous. Even the public onsens were great. Some onsens felt very crowded or busy, but Mizunoto has so many options that I don't think that it's hard to find a quiet space. The whole time felt very spa-like. They even had popsicles and ice cream which my kids liked.

It was pricey and very much a splurge, but I don't regret coming even though it was a little hard to find in the rain. The experience is remarkable and it was my second time. I would go back a third time if I could.

Öncelikle otel çok eski ve konumu uzak otobüsle merkezden 40-50 dk yol gidilmesi gerekiyor. Otel eski olduğu için rutubet kokuyor, havalandırma muhtemelen yetersiz. Fiyatı bu otel için fazlasıyla pahalı. Akşam yemeği çok kötüydü, (belki farklı kültürlerde olduğumuz için sevmemiş olabiliriz)Gece nemden ve rutubetten uyumakta zorlandık, yatak, çarşaflar falan nemden dolayı ıslak gibiydi. Tuvaletten koku geliyordu, çok temiz hissettirmedi. Bizim için pahalıya patlayan kötü bir deneyim oldu, onsen için değmez.

Beautiful location, very friendly and accommodating staff. And of course, the Onsens! We didn’t try the public onsens, but both the private onsens and room onsen were incredible. Excellent food offerings as well! A bit pricey, but well worth a traditional Japanese experience.

Not much we didn’t like. The carpets in the lobby are showing some age, but that’s such a small nitpick.

Le ryokan est incroyable, avec un onsen très agréable sur le balcon. Les repas traditionnels japonais sont tout simplement délicieux. La chambre est immense et les matelas sont super confortables. La localisation est parfaite pour visiter Hakone et ses nombreuses attractions, avec plusieurs arrêts de bus à moins de 10 minutes de marche.

Le petit déjeuner japonais peut être un peu surprenant pour des touristes européens mais on trouve toujours des choses qui nous plaisent.

The rooms were spacious and gave us more than enough room. A nice change compared to typical sized hotel rooms in Japan. Private onsen was amazing and their system (first come, first serve) worked well with our schedule. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Snacks and drinks throughout the day were great too.

The walk from the Kowakudani train station was 30 minutes uphill. We were grateful that we chose to pack 2 backpacks and put our suitcases in storage. They have a shuttle bus to Kowakudani station from the hotel but unfortunately we were unaware of that prior to checking in. The food portions were very large, for both breakfast and dinner, we made sure not to eat a lot during the day.

Como eu tenho muitas tatuagens, peguei o quarto com onsen privativo e adorei. Funcionários muito educados, receptivos e simpáticos. Meu único arrependimento é não ter ficado mais tempo nesse hotel..

We loved the private onsen experience, as well as the excellent condition of the room. Moreover, the hotel provides free snacks and everything for you to prepare tea and coffee in your room.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

This onsen was incredible. We booked a room with a private onsen on the balcony which was a true highlight of our entire trip. We also really liked exploring the other onsens throughout the property. The traditional Japanese food was tasty and a great experience, and the staff were really helpful and polite. Overall we felt extremely relaxed and well looked after here. I would truly love to return to Hakone and stay again.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing, especially given the price we paid. The staff did not seem particularly attentive or concerned about guests’ needs. We had difficulties arranging the shuttle from the train station, even after calling the hotel in advance. Later, when we picked up our key after cleaning, we were mistakenly given the key to another guest’s room, which was quite concerning.

I really enjoyed the onsen on my balcony. The view was exactly as pictured. The western style beds were really comfortable. I had a great time waking around the hotel in the traditional pajamas and slippers they provide. The chef prepared dinners had an outstanding selection of food. I left feeling satisfied. I also enjoyed the private onsens on the property. Don't forget to get a sweet treat from the ice cream coolers after a trip to the onsen. One of the days it was really rainy and I booked a massage which was a pleasant experience. Overall, this was exactly what our group needed to recharge after our two week trip in Japan.

We paid for the two meal plan which includes breakfast and dinner. The dinner was outstanding. However, the breakfast included primarily cold and raw foods which the majority of our travel party did not have an appetite for. I do wish they would have offered a western breakfast option with eggs, toast, fruit, and bacon similar to the western bedroom option they give you when booking a room.

Bellissima struttura con onsen comune, più tre vasche private. C'erano due onsen diversi molto belli con vasche esterne ed interne ad anche oli essenziali. La mia stanza aveva la vasca privata sul balcone affacciata verso il bosco, bellissima. Ho apprezzato molto la possibilità di avere bevande sia calde che fredde sempre a disposizione nella hall e il ramen serale. La camera era dorata di tutti i confort er era molto bella e spaziosa.

Se devo fare un appunto solo il fatto di avere la doccia all'esterno insieme alla vasca termale. Avrei preferito avere anche una doccia all'interno della stanza.

J'avais peur au début en reservant en voyant les commentaires négatifs, mais j'ai eu la chance de faire beaucoup d'hotel et lui se place facilement sur le podium!! Cet hotel est entre tradition et modernité : tatami dans la chambre, on enleve ses chaussures, bain privé, etc mais aussi prise usb c pour les téléphones, télé connecté avec netflix disney etc. La chambre est très grande, les lits super confortables, le bain parfait vue sur foret... on a meme pas eu le temps de faire les nombreux onsens tellement notre chambre était agréable. J'espere y retourner un jour :)

Yakult, ice cream, milk) 4) Free drinks 24 hours at the lobby (special vinegar juice in the morning, dango during evening). 5) very spacious Japanese rooms. 6) Wonderful air-conditioning in room.

What a beautiful place! This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything from the staff to the room was excellent. The private onsen was so nice overlooking the forest, we also used the private onsens outside which were just lovely. The included dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, there was so much food (I did find it a little difficult to finish the breakfast option, as there was a lot to eat so early!). The shop and shuttle bus are also nice additions. I would love to stay here again!

Absolutely nothing, was prefect. There was an automatic light that came on in the hallway, but the staff kindly turned it off for us.

The place was cozy and the property was filled with amenities that were nice. A lot of staff knew English and were really sweet. They tried conversing with us and even left us a small anniversary gift!

they only have a shuttle from the property to the nearest station and not the main station (Hakone-Yumoto). The closest bus stops require a walk up hill or down hill, but it wasn’t too bad.

ÖV Situation, wofür Hotel aber nicht viel kann. Hakone Freepass habe wir nicht wirklich praktisch gefunden. Taxis kosten etwas, bieten aber viel Komfort und ersparen Ärger. Einige Buachauffeure sind Rennfahrer, gut festhalten und nicht die Stimmung verderben lassen;-)

The room was spacious and our experience with the balcony hot spring tub was amazing. It was nice to experience the comfort of the provided yukatas and enjoy the on-site traditional meals. The complimentary drinks and relaxation areas gave us a much needed reprieve from our busy vacation.

Wir haben die Privatsphäre in unserer Badewanne auf dem Balkon sehr genossen und auch fantastisch auf den Betten geschlafen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, sehr fischlastig und auch das traditionelle japanische Frühstück hat uns sehr begeistert. Es wurden tatsächlich keine Alternativen angeboten - für uns eine großartige Erfahrung, aber man sollte definitiv wissen auf was man sich einlässt. Das Leben ist hier kein Wunschkonzert ansonsten ist der örtliche kombini in Gehweite.Der Shuttle bei An- und Abreise war perfekt organisiert. Die Nähe zur Harkone Ropeway welche wir am Abreisetag genutzt haben ist absolut empfehlenswert... 🗻 Mount Fuji sehen...

Die Anlage ist nicht komplett renoviert bzw. die Dusche in unserem Zimmer war noch nicht erneuert worden.

The onsen was fabulous being outdoors in an bamboo forest, and the kaisieki meal was delicious. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but I slept fine due to the relaxation of the onsens. I like that they allow tattoos if covered which when I was looking seemed difficult to find places that allowed that. The location was beautiful although a bit of a trek to get to, although they had a shuttle from the nearest train station to pick me up which was wonderful.

Absolutely beautiful accommodations! Some free light meals, snacks, and drinks are included as an extra perk. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming. Great massage services open until midnight was a nice surprise! The 3 private onsens were wonderful to use as visitors with tattoos.

The room I reserved is the larger one with its own private onsen/hot spring bath (there’s also a version with a regular bath instead of hot spring water). There are two public onsens, one of which includes a sauna. Since each onsen has separate male and female sides that rotate twice a day (I think), you can actually experience four different onsens during your stay. There are also three private outdoor onsens available on a first-come, first-served basis, and each is spacious enough for 3–4 adults. In the lobby, there’s complimentary coffee and a drink machine. Snacks are served between 6–7 PM (one night they offered grilled mochi), and ramen is available from 10:30–11:00 PM. We were so full from the kaiseki dinner that we didn’t even get to try the snacks or ramen! Overall, it was an relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

The property is beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, beds comfortable. The spa facilities are amazing. Spent a lot of time in the private spas and the public. We didn’t get the private in room spa It was very easy getting the 3 shared private spas. They are first some first serve but there was at least one always available for when we needed one. The staff is fantastic. They are very warm and welcoming. The breakfast and dinner menu are a must.

Private onsen, layout of room

Exceptional local experience - the hotel was full with Japanese guests - and rather oriented on their nationals which made the stay even more special - you could really soak in the culture, food and traditions. The food was just exceptional - the serving looked like art pieces, the freshness of fish and other products was just outstanding. I loved that the breakfast was also kept in traditional local way - so be aware it includes fish dishes - you may better book a mainstream gentrified places if you are not ready to try how locals eat in Japan - or just stay home. Despite some language barrier the team was extremely helpful and supportive when I asked for some help with planning my Kintoki Mount hike. I was lucky to stay in the part which was not renovated yet - it gave some vintage vibe and it was unbelievable to see how well maintained the room and all amenities were despite their visible age - I wish they would keep it that way but apparently the rooms in the other building were already newly renovated. All snacks (ice cream, warm snacks, tea and other drinks) available after relaxing in onsen made it even more special. The free shuttle from the hotel to the station was spotless and perfectly on time. Thank you so much for this special experience I could have in Hakone - I was honored to be your guest! ありがとうございます

Some reviews of other European guests shock me and made me laugh - perhaps they should either stay in their countries and not travel, or accept that fish dishes won't be prepared the same way around the world (especially in Japan) as they are in Spain, Portugal or Italy - sorry not sorry.

Everything the place was amazing.

Newly renovated so it is very clean and comfortable. Room is super big and nice setting. Food is good but a bit too much, we can’t finish so it’s waste.

Hotel is quite big, we need to use different lifts to our room, with luggage is difficult. Also hot spring, it had two in different building. Concierge staff need more training to serve customer. When we arrive hotel, the girls non-stop speak Japanese, we answer in English, but she still continue Japanese, ignore us, just want to finish her job. When we left, the boy stand in front of the hotel but didn’t help us to bring the luggage to the car. This is not Japanese standard.

Ha superado totalmente mis expectativas. Habitación preciosa, con el Hut tub. Los onsen privados una delicia. La cena y el desayuno japones muy copiosos y de sabor buenisimos. Sin dudas volveremos.

The hotel had a good mix of modern and traditional settings with mostly traditional! The public and private baths are both beautiful designed and one with nature.

Demande de réservation d'un taxi à l'accueil -> Impossible selon les dire du réceptionniste Impossible de manger au restaurant de l'hôtel car complet. Le restaurant n'est pas adapté par au nombre de chambre..... Obligé de manger un Ramen à 1 euro dans un hotel 5 étoiles !
