Personal war zurückhaltend freundlich. Lage direkt an der Autobahn, dadurch ständige Verkehrsgeräusche.

Very basic things in the room. Old,it smells a lot, you can hear sound from your next room. Television is so big that you need telescope to see 😁.

I'm disabled on mobility scooter and it was totally accessible and the evening bar food was amazing ,good varied menu ,plentiful ,tasty and excellent value. Room was a little old fashioned but I'm keeping with cost it was good and the views are amazing , sitting out on the patio. Very relaxing 😎

Staff at breakfast could have been helpful ,I asked for help as nobody offered first time ever in a hotel and still were not happy ,I felt a nuisance and reluctant to ask again , those staff need more training they let the hotel down in my opinion

The first room tank of wet dog to which i am allergic. they did move us but we were then woken by a drunk couple have a big argument . At breakfast my poached egg had a fly in it.

The Price and the lake was nice. Communal areas were good. Breakfast was very nice.

We enjoyed the restaurant and bar. We spent two nights. One night in a ground floor room by the lake which was quite nice. The second night was on the first floor on the road side..... The room was red hot and the ceiling fan was broken. The staff gave us a fan but you had to keep the window open to try and stay cool, but the road traffic noise was so loud it made sleeping impossible.

Evening meal eas simply shocking. We didnt receive the food expected. They hsd ran out of some items. The service itself was very bad. Breakfast was good.

Room was spacious with nice view over the lake. Evening meal was great, plus the breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

Bed was a bit hard and light over the bed didn't work (room 131) no extra blanket in wardrobe. Bathroom decor a bit dated and not enough light.

The room was nice. And it was very picturesque and calm. The backyard, pergola and the garden were beautiful as backgrounds for photography.

They did not give anywhere near enough food and their entrance is difficult to find. Also thw indows were slightly temperamental and the fan operation was very terrifying. The breakfast area could be more spacious.

Lovely terrace overlooking the lake.

Very low pressure in the shower. We asked for a fan and were given a large, stand-up fan, but we were then expected to carry it to the room ourselves (we are both in our 60s), so we were not very impressed. The breakfast wasn't great.

It's lovely being in such beautiful scenery and being able to walk along the water side .

Waiting for breakfast 1hr for two waffles everyone else were getting they breakfast not on ,also over a hour for 6 chicken nuggets. Hotel should not run out of certain foods either. Not very happy about this section.o

Seeing that I booked and paid extra for a king size room, we expected a king size bed. Disappointed we only had a double bed.

Room was very tired and the bathroom floor was like an old men's toilet, The whole hotel needs a refresh. It's also located right to a motorway, but the lake rooms are surprisingly quiet. I. Could hear next door using the bathroom, walls have little sound proofing. It is however good value for money

Handy location and lake is nice

Incredibly dated like it's not been decorated since the 70s. The bathroom was so grotty I didnt even want to use it. Staff seemed put out by requests for invoices.

Nice welcome and lovely relaxing setting. Large spacious room with a patio door leading to outside seating area overlooking lakes. Food was nice and reasonably priced and served by a very nice young lady with a smile,

Room not ready for 3pm had to wait half an hour also bedside bulb missing and rather small tv for size of room.

Very the handy location for passing though. We had a room on the ground floor with a view over the lake and access out to the terrace and grass, which was very handy with a dog. Free parking and breakfast included.

Although the place was lovely and clean, the style feels a bit outdated and could do with a bit more atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed with my gammon which I had looked forward to (my partners food was lovely though). Minor things; on the whole it did what we needed.

I understand that it is a pet friendly hotel. Consideration needs to be made for guests that are located next door to these rooms. We had an uncomfortable night but we requested a move and this was done the next day. I don’t think we would have stayed if we wasn’t moved.

Attended a wedding. Hard working staff helped make it an enjoyable wedding in a nice setting....had a great time. The staff really worked hard.

Musty, tired rooms that were desperate for an update. Bedding was ageing and of poor quality. Corridors smelt. Breakfast was very average and basic.

We booked two rooms for one night, at £95.50 per room, £191 in total, and we were extremely disappointed with our stay. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was not warm or friendly. The rooms were dirty and dusty, with poorly cleaned crockery that was simply unusable. We also found stains that appeared to be blood on the bed linen, as well as suspicious stains around the beds. There was also an unpleasant smell throughout the premises. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was also very disappointing. As for the breakfast, it was far below our expectations. For £191 for two rooms for just one night, we believe we had every right to expect a basic standard of cleanliness, hygiene and service. Unfortunately, our experience was very poor and did not at all meet our expectations. The photos speak for themselves and show some of the issues we found in the rooms. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. A very disappointing experience and extremely poor value for money. We certainly will not be staying here again.

The room was dirty the furniture was all sticky the bed omg was not fit for anyone the sheet cam off during the night the mattress was rotten , breakfast was a joke

I slept good, bed was very comfy. Food in the resturant was 9.5/10, i would of ordered again but i was quite full. The food is a lot better then most hotels ive had food at. I don't normally rate the food but that was tasty, been a while since i had food like that in a hotel. Better quality then hoilday and premier inn. Staff were friendly. I would stay again if i ever come to kent again.

My room was good, few bits that needed attention. The bathroom could of been a lot cleaner. The taps werent cleaned properly and the table top near the mirror still had stain marks on it. Few little nicks in the bathroom. Bath tub had a black indent on it. Thought it was a bug at first. It wasnt. Apart from that everything else was fine. I did notice the bathroom was very half empty. Just had the hand soap and shampoo. Both bottles werent full. Presentation to be full for new customers. all the hotels ive stayed in had small tube of tooth paste and small tooth brush. Luckily i had my own when i arrivied. I don't know if you supply that in the hotel. Only thing i didnt like bathroom did slightly put me off for cleaniness.

The cleanliness of the restaurant was ok the tables were still dirty but the lighting in our room is dark, I would like to know what the policy is for the uniform as one of the girls had a very short skirt could see her bum cheeks and constantly pulling it down,

I stayed here for a family wedding. The hotel is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Staff were very good. A good choice of food for breakfast. Was very pleasant out the back with a view of the lake.

Nothing really for the amount we paid it was good value. Bit disappointing that we could not walk around the whole lake. Nothing locally as close to the motorway. If your room is at the front it is very noisy as so close to the motorway so at night windows have to be closed but did have a ceiling fan which helped keep the room cool.

Waited an hour for our room, dog was pooing in the reception. Hotel room was really dated , three marks in the bath where the enamel had come off. Cieling fan looked like it was falling off. Threadbare carpet. Breakfast , staff need help being trained . Not stocking up on the glasses, bread, milk.

Facilities and staff's professionalism

The setting was beautiful. Loved feeding the ducks at the back door, over looking the lake. We upgraded to the Cherry Blossom Suite to use the jacuzzi. Perfect escape for a few days.

The room had stains on walls ceilings and bedding. The shower didn't work in one of the rooms we had and only produced scalding water

The ambience and rooms

Breakfast. There were not many options

The check in process could be improved, the staff member on reception seemed distracted and uninterested in the guests. On arrival we were told that our room wasn’t ready, with no indication of how long it would be until it was ready, so we were directed to the bar for a drink, which was very overpriced and very poor quality, no ice during a heatwave.

The surrounding area is very nice, with great views of the lake from the room with a shared terrace for guest use. However, there is no fridge in the room and a very old fan so the room was very warm. We had paid extra for a room with a king size bed, however we were allocated a small double bed. Local shops are a fair distance away, and only really accessible by car. Breakfast is ok, very basic cooked option and a selection of cereals and toast, again, the staff members do not seem engaged or interested in the guests.

Quiet room. Appreciated that. Away from the party festivities. Double glazing up to completely silencing the nearby motorway traffic noise.

Fit and finish very tired. Enamel chips in the bath. Bath knobs stiff and difficult to turn. Bathroom fan that went on for 25 minutes after use, which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so noisy. We used a pre-payment mastercard to pay online that was accepted by Booking.com - but wasn't accepted by the hotel machine and all the staff would say was that it was a requirement. Eventually we were allowed to use a regular visa card. I hope that we do not end up paying twice.

Lovely view. Nice to sit outside by the lake. Good value. Easy to get to from the main road, and convenient for bluewater. Lots of dogs. Very dog friendly. Only £10 extra a night for a dog.

The decor is old fashioned and could do with replacing but you pay less so can't expect it to be extremely modern. Staff were a bit grumpy particularly at breakfast.

Room was good size but Decor is a little dated. The Bar area lacks atmosphere - It's OK but a bit bland Breakfast was fine but service a little slow

Loved that our room had a lake view, the sliding doors and walking out onto the patio with the lake infront of you was lovely and relaxing to sit at the small bistro style table and chairs each room had.

The furniture in our room was fairly old style. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was very dated but all was clean and tidy on arrival. We was there to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and relax but unfortunately from check in time when we arrived a 15.30pm there was a party with a dj that unfortunately played very loud Bass'y music all the way up to midnight which boomed through the hotel all afternoon and night. Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing, the few meals we requested was off the menu as not having the stock/ingredients. When you did find something on the menu we had to pay there and then rather than at the end of your sitting. When asked do you want extra drinks with our meal we had to stop eating to pay each time again rather than at the end of the sitting. Breakfast the next day was a nightmare. We came down for this at 8.30am and showed to our table and given menus to chose from. Unfortunately everyone around us and that came in after us orders was taken and we was left in the middle with no staff available to take our orders. Trying to get attention from waiting staff was a test of it's own as we was trying to get staff attention and making it obvious we was ready to order for nearly 35mins. If breakfast wasn't included and paid for in the price I would of easily left and gone off premises for breakfast due to waiting nearly an hour in total for food to arrive. When food did arrive one of the orders was wrong and when explained the food went to the kitchen and came back with the items that was meant to be swapped out just scrapped off the plate and handed back to me, luckily I have no allergies. Unfortunately no staff asked about any allergies etc before any meals. Also would have been a better experience if you could of walked round the lake.

Hotel was very dated and tired. If you are in a standard room you will likely be overlooking the car park and the hotel is right next to the dual carriageway so be prepared to a lot of traffic noise.

No warning about a party until 1am, bed was small, found a sock under the bed, decor from the 1800s

Bed linen was dirty, looks like not changed. There was no housekeeping at night so I had to change it self. Cleliness was poor. Tra cip in the resturant was dirty, crusted feel on the cup. There was ant gping around in the roon in cluding in the bed. Staff was not arragant but not friendly.The place is much more less than expected.
