It’s accessible and 15 min away from bluewater shopping center.

The only thing I didn’t like was breakfast served at their pub/restaurant. Options were limited and coffee machine was broken. I stayed there in January and the food was much better then.

It is neatly managed.

The lift wasn’t in use during my stay, no bottles water as complementary, No kits in the bathroom for emergency use and No fridge to store drinks.

Room was not as clean as it should have been found a peanut on the floor as well as other debris. Bed made after first night, towels were placed in bath for replacement but not done, cups were not replaced with clean ones and tea coffee were not restocked.

The property is in a very good location, facilities are very clean and comfortable and staff are very supportive. Tea and coffee with electric jug provided We were provided with a free baby cot

The shower is fixed to the wall and makes the hair wet unnecessarily as no shower caps provided. Though there’s a dryer but i’d rather avoid a wet hair Kindly provide shower caps or unfix those showers! Food was sold out at the restaurant before the stated closing time, so we left the hotel hungry which wasn’t a nice experience as we had many kids lodge with us. Please make meals more available and visitors should go there early to avoid stories that touch!

Staff fantastic. The guy who checked me in ( didn't get his name) was superb. He was very kind, caring and gorgeous. A great representative for the hotel. The room was great, everything I needed. Air con was superb. Breakfast was great, super choice everything cooked well and hot. Cannot fault it. The lovely man was there again at breakfast making sure it all ran smoothly I guessed he was the manager. Can;t wait to come back for another stay.

Clean quiet rooms, enough space for an adult and teenage child to sleep comfortably in without getting in each others way. Air conditioning was a blessing! Located about 50 minutes from the channel tunnel. Also a fantastic big Sainsbury’s 3 minutes drive away and a co-op 1 minute walk from the hotel for any last minute items you’ve forgotten.

Quiet clean rooms and aircon was what we wanted - and what we got. I can’t criticise it at all, especially at the price. The pub next door serves evening meals and breakfast which is very convenient, but the food wasn’t brilliant.

When we turned up to the hotel.. reception wasn’t very welcoming at all! To add to that they also wanted to take a £50 holding fee which was never mentioned when it was booked and payed for already! Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The noise level from other people in the hotel was horrendous.. doors banging constantly through the night and morning and quite abit of shouting. No shampoo or conditioner only body wash that smelt absolutely cheap and vile.

Very disappointing stay Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing. The room was only cleaned every two days rather than daily, and even basic amenities were missing — there were not even disposable cups provided for brushing our teeth. The room itself was very bare and lacked the basic touches you would expect from a hotel. The biggest disappointment, however, was the Spring River restaurant. The level of cleanliness was unacceptable. Everything felt sticky and dirty, including the tables and surrounding areas, and even the water in the water jug did not look or taste right. The coffee machine was absolutely filthy, and the coffee was so unpleasant that we simply decided not to have any. Breakfast was also very disappointing. The choice was essentially a traditional English breakfast, with virtually nothing healthy available. There wasn't even something as basic as cheese or other simple continental options. The restaurant staff appeared to be working on autopilot, with very little enthusiasm, attention or engagement with guests. The overall atmosphere was one of neglect rather than hospitality. There are some basic standards that a hotel should be able to maintain — cleanliness, hygiene, basic room amenities, decent food choices and attentive service. Unfortunately, our experience at Spring River fell well below those standards.

Temperature of shower only lukewarm on full heat. Also heater in room no good Its ok but had much better previous stays standard slipped somewhat .don't like filling kettle from bathroom sink.

We left hotel around 10.00 am, when the receptionist told me that the £50 that was taken the evening before would be refunded straight away, it is now 21.12 on the same day with no sign of it being in my bank account.

Everything was pretty standard fair, except the room didn't have a fridge. We were staying for 3 nights, it was very hot (heatwave!) and so we couldn't really buy and keep milk and juice, etc. for the kids.

Really lovely hotel feels a little bit extra than your usual other cheap hotels. We had a slight issue and it was resolved by the night porter Maxine she was so lovely and apologetic for something that was completely and utterly out of her control. Overly very happy with this hotel and we will definitely be back thank you!

The property was in an ideal location. Easy access to motorway. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. No safe or phone in the room.

The issue was the rudeness and bluntness of the front of house staff. They were not welcoming. However during my stay I observed other customers received much better service from the same person. The lady was very abrupt when I arrived, stating I needed to pay a £50 deposit, which I wasn’t aware of. I enquired about the gym and was told “It had nothing to do with them’. When I checked out I was not asked if I enjoyed my stay, I was not thanked for my custom and again she was quite rude when I enquired about the refund of my deposit. Despite the locate being perfect for what I need each month, I will not be staying there again!

I stay here all the time and the service is always excellent. the rooms and wonderfully clean and the staff and very helpful and gracious. All of my requests were well accommodated. I would recommend always.

The staff attitude towards the customer was cery poor. No welcoming face . Very annoying approach. We fell neglected and abandoned . One was on the phone. The second one was there like we are no body. We waited for minutes and we have to look for a place to sit Before the second one asked us if we are to check in.. Particularly the one we met when I checked in was unprofessional. No good approach and not passionate about her job. I used this hotel severally. I met many nice receptionist. Very nice , kind and with welcoming approach. But the one attended to us needs to be rewarded trained if she want to keep her job. When we checked out. Because it was early check out . I need to go to work for business appointment. We ranged the bell . The reply was shocking. Can you just drop the key there and go.. Anyway. Overall, the staff we met that night were not nice to us at all. It was the first time I experienced such bad approach.. Just to let the management aware of thing to work on.

We have been here before with mixed experiences, this time was good, there was a good variety of meals and the bistro was very cheap (choose the small plate that should be enough). The service was good and the wine list was reasonabale. Despite all five having different meals they arrived at the same time.

Hold the press... In telling you now, when you are looking for a break away or place to stay for a few nights and you get drawn to the usual 'Big Two' budget hotels... Search for Marston's... Because for a similar price... You will get a much better experience... Off the charts in comparison... We have stayed at Marston's hotels a fair few times now and the standard has been set... The rooms, even the family ones with the additional beds are spacious... Clean modern bathrooms... Communal areas well maintained too I have zero complaints here (except the cost of the vending machine) - which considering a coop is over the road, doesn't make sense to sell 500ml bottles of coke etc for just south of £3... Come on, that needs a serious review... Back to the hotel... Check in and check out were seemless experiences with a polite and professional member of staff. 2 well kept efficient lifts... Taking you to the desired floor... Rooms as said, clean, spacious, good TV and very comfortable beds... I am a light, even poor sleeper and on Sunday, my wife had to awaken me from my slumber! Which is unheard of... Round of applause Marston's... And the air con was perfect... 10/10 from me, will definitely stay here when my son is racing at Buckmore Park again for a weekend event.

First time visiting here on a Sunday afternoon. Service was good, no complaints there. Food was ok, nothing special. Very basic quality. Good blue light discount available at least, and good options. Given the marketing and prices, I think I was just expecting something a bit nicer, but it is essentially a glorified spoons unfortunately. Plus there was no air con on the hot day. I think it's fine for a casual lunch but I would just lower my expectations in the future!

The location is adequate, and the environment is pleasant with good air conditioning; however, the service quality is lacking. The staff is severely short-handed, forcing cleaners to perform both receptionist duties and other tasks. There is no one at the front desk. To have your room cleaned, you must inform the front desk, which will then inform you that it is past 9am and cleaning cannot be done, despite a sign requesting service posted on your door. The cleaners also shift responsibility among themselves, claiming it is not their job but that of another staff member. This demonstrates a clear lack of teamwork.

After my first night, I placed a sign indicating that my room should be cleaned. When I saw the cleaners on my way out, I informed them to help clean my room, and they agreed. However, when I returned in the evening, the room had not been cleaned. I went to the front desk, where I was told I should notify them before 9am, and they scheduled a cleaning for the next day. The following day, I reconfirmed with the front desk staff and again communicated with the cleaners, leaving the signage at the door. Yet, upon my return, the room was still not cleaned. They claimed the sign showed "Do Not Disturb," but I was seen leaving with my family, and the front desk was also informed at that time. There are several areas for improvement: 1. Provide phones in the rooms to avoid the need to go to the front desk for essentials like toilet paper and towels. I came to relax, not to work. 2. Pay closer attention to the signage indicating whether rooms should be cleaned. If the sign is not in use, it should be removed from all rooms. 3. Increase staffing levels during the summer period to ensure quality service.

The main room was spacious and adequate.

The bathroom, in relation to the size of the main room was tiny. Bad design. The consequence is a shower/tub combination, which is never good. The worst aspect is that I discovered (only by speaking to the cleaning staff) that rooms are only serviced once every three days. I checked Expedia Booking Engine and nowhere in the listing does it mention this fact. I stayed 2 nights and my room was not serviced. I asked the cleaner for fresh towels and she was very helpful. However, the small rubbish bin, which was overflowing, was not emptied. Given the amount of money often charged for these rooms, this is disgraceful. By the way, do not eat at the attached pub next door - the food quality is appalling. The pie I was served had been microwaved - the pastry was soggy and chewy. Avoid.

The washroom was not clean when we entered I could see hair on the bath tub as it seems someone just showered and it wasn’t cleaned. The room was smelly when we entered but after opening windows for some mins it got better

Not for me. We phoned and asked if they were showing the football and they were so I went with my son. The TV screen was blue and the TV rather small so was quite difficult to watch. I wish they had said this at the time of booking. The pub is quite dirty. There was napkins and rubbish, on the floor from when we arrived until we left. We ordered the chicken platter thinking it would be enough for 2, as it was either £21 or £22, but it was just enough for my son. The onion rings were missing so asked for them. The waitress looked annoyed we had the nerve to ask for what we had paid for. She then came out with two tiny little onion rings. The food was just microwaved chicken. It wasnt even hot. Staff looked tired and miserable and like they really dont want to be there. I guess its good for the people on the local estate as they can walk and have a drink and they have a very small outdoor bit but I wouldnt go again to eat.
