Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Petit hôtel simple et agréable, idéal pour profiter de Matala ! L’établissement est sans prétention, mais il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un bon séjour. Chambre propre, accueil sympathique et emplacement pratique pour découvrir le village et ses alentours. Un très bon rapport qualité-prix, parfait pour quelques nuits en Crète. Nous recommandons.
Le seul petit point négatif à noter serait l’insonorisation, qui est assez légère et peut parfois laisser entendre les bruits des chambres voisines ou de l’extérieur.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und es standen immer frische Handtücher zur Verfügung. Zusätzlich war die Lage sehr zentral. Am aller besten war jedoch das Personal/ Hotelbetreiber. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und als wir Schwierigkeiten mit dem Rücktransfer zum Flughafen hatten, wurden wir tatkräftig unterstützte. Eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026L'hôtel est parfaitement placé. Il offre des chambres simples, propres et très correctes. La nôtre (n16) avait un balcon assez grand. Salle de bain petite avec wc à l'interieur. Le gel douche +shampoing et savon sont fournis. Possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner. La literie est très confortable.
La climatisation de notre chambre était très bruyante. Heureusement qu'il ne faisait pas canicule car nous avons pu l'éteindre dans la nuit.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026Hotel carino, all interno di un edificio probabilmente di molti anni fa : le mura spesse hanno infatti consentito di avere una camera fresca senza aria condizionata. La stanza è dotata di tutto l occorrente e siamo stati benissimo.
L unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta è il fatto di essere dovuto andare via 😂

Shower worked perfectly well and was lovely and hot with plenty pressure but I'm not a fan of a shower curtain. Could do with a slight update to the shower area/enclosure.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Intanto ci è piagiuto il gestore, Gheorgeos, che ci ha acoclti con il minimo preavviso e con molta cordialità. Poi il letto, probabilmente il materasso più comodo della nostra vacanza, finalmente sensza molle. La posizione è praticamente in centro a Matala, che è un paesino molto carino ma anche troppo turistico per i nostri gusti. Comunque la passeggiata è interessante e le possibilità di una buona cena a base di pesce sono tante. C'è un vicinissimo parcheggio a pagamento (5 euro per la giornata), ma arrivando la sera si può facilmente parcheggiare pochi metri oltre il parcheggio.
Noi siamo contenti della stanza e dell'accoglienza. Forse il bagno (come quasi sempre abbiamo sperimentato) è un pochino piccolo, ma adeguato.

Matala è stata una destinazione per hippy, adesso è una destinazione turistica come le altre con gli adetti dei ristoranti che escono come delle murene ad agganciare il turista. Come ristorante quello più bello è il Sunset, il forno in centro è una garanzia, tranne per il cappuccino se siete italiani.
Arredamento un po' datato. Sembra che Matala sia in una zona un po' ventosa.

השירותים והמקלחת היו קטנים מידי בשבילי.

Reviewed May 20, 2026De eigenaares was heel flexibel met de incheck uren. Wij waren heel laat pas aanwezig in Matala, maar dat was geen enkel probleem! We zijn ons dan de volgende ochtend gaan voorstellen en heel vriendelijk ontvangen. We dienden wel nog ter plaatsen te betalen, het bedrag dat ik via Booking heb betaald stond slechts gereserveerd. De kamer was naar verwachting. We hadden geen grote luxe verwacht. We waren wel aangenaam verrast met het grote terras dat nog aan de kamer was! Goede druk op het water van de douche. De badkamer was klein maar dit hadden we voorzien. De kamer op zich was ook klein, bed paste net in de ruimte samen met 2 nachtkastjes en een stoel voor kleren. Meer niet. Maar dit was voor ons zeker voldoende, geen ongewenste verrassingen.

Leckere, diverse Frühstücksoptionen möglich, auf der Terrasse, hier kann man auch sonstige Getränke tagsüber haben, für die Pause zwischendurch. Der Kaffee zum wach werden war soo lecker. Parkplätze sehr nah gegen Gebühr. Älteres Haus aber mit viel Charme. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt , danke für alles.
Etwas hellhörig im Haus, mit Ohrenstöpsel kein Problem.

Reviewed May 9, 2026L'accueil est adorable, la responsable toujours là et disponible, souriante. La situation de l'appartement est parfaite, en plein coeur du village et à deux pas de la mer, très jolie vue sur la grande terrasse. L'appartement correspond aux photos.
La terrasse est partagée, un monsieur passait étendre son linge pendant qu'on bronzait. 4ème étage sans ascenseur mais pas gênant pour nous. Et ce n'est pas la faute de l'hôtel car tout Matala était concerné, mais pas d'eau le premier jour.

The authenticity of the place truly impressed us. The breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The sea is just a 3-minute walk away at a leisurely pace. I hope we’ll come back someday for sure ☺️

La chambre au RDC peu lumineuse, manque un peu de déco pour égayer...Le parking au bout de la rue payant même pour les clients de l'hôtel (5 euros par jour même si vous stationnez 1h, les gardiens très désagréables et agressifs), l'accueil a l'hôtel peu jovial mais cela c'est amélioré le lendemain ....

Une belle terrasse pour prendre un très bon petit déjeuner. La chambre en rez-de-chaussée avec terrasse extérieure était bien. Très bon séjour d'une nuit pour visiter Matala. A recommander !

Winziges, schmuddeliges Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, trostloser Außenbereich mit Blick auf eine 2 m entfernte Mauer. Die Matraze war zu weich und hatte eine Plastikoberfläche, sodass man beim Liegen schwitzte. Winziges Bad mit einer Dusche, in der man nicht aufrecht stehen konnte. Nackte Glühbirnen als Beleuchtung. Küchenausstattung: ein Waserkocher, ein Kühlschrank, sonst nichts.

Im Erdgeschoss dunkle muffige Zimmer, mit grausigem Aussenbereich. Zum viel gelobten Frühstück können wir nichts sagen, bezweifeln aber sehr, dass hier etwas vernünftiges serviert wird. Die Bilder täuschen total. Einfach kann auch schön sein. Die Bewertungen hier sind sehr unfair den tollen Unterkünften gegenüber!

No tiene ascensor y, por lo que teníamos entendido, había parking. No es así.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2025la camera era molto grande , spaziosa con anche un angolo cucina a disposizione. aria condizionata. bagno con tutto il necessario la posizione sicuramente merita. comoda per lasciare l'auto al archeggio a pagamento che c'è in fondo alla via ( 5 € tutto il giorno) e poi girare a piedi. noi abbiamo fatto una sola notte, di passaggio proprio per curiosare Matala tardo pomeriggio/sera. abbiamo fatto mare la mattina successiva e poi abbiamo proseguito il nostro tour. ma la struttura la consiglierei . molto silenziosa.
