Дурацкие выключатели света в номере. Какие то неудобные. И воды не поставили в номер. Обычно всегда пару бутылочек дают попить. Но это мелочи конечно

We stayed at Maywood Hotel, sister hotel to Hotel Sapphire (which had been closed by the Municipality prior to our arrival). Rooms are very small but clean and comfortable. Includes a good buffet breakfast. Really good location, walkable to River, spice markets, Blue and pink mosque and The Grand Bazaar.

Small rooms, otherwise everything else OK. Would have like to stay at Hotel Sapphire (not Maywood Hotel) which came recommended.

We actually ended up at Maywood hotel, after hotel Sapphire sent us there due to some issues with their tourist licence.

We ended up with two single beds, worked ok for a couple of days. Internet speed quite fast.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. Bed very comfortable, nice pool. Breakfast was very good.Great position only a short walk to harbour and tram station only up the road which took you anywhere over the city. Restaurants and cafes all around,so close. Staff were so helpful and friendly. They arranged our transfer to the airport. All round 10/10. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Sapphire was closed due to the formal issues and they moved us to Maywood hotel and that was an amazing hotel with all the services starting from rooms with breakfast and all the staff, especially Mr. Ahmed, he was very helpful and pleasant. Location is amazing, very near to Train station, all main busy areas are near to the hotel you can enjoy walking in street nearby.

The location was perfect. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. We were given a quieter rooms and next to each other which was nice. Rooms were big and well equipped.

Breakfast was not very good. Also the beds were quite uncomfortable.

Even though we booked Hotel Sapphire, this review is for Hotel Maywood where our reservation was transferred due to the municipality closing down Hotel Sapphire. This is what we were told. We accepted the transfer and we were happy with the hotel. It is very well located on a pedestrian street in the historical centre. We walked to Topkapi, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, also to Cistern Basilica. The Grand Bazar is within walking distance too. Our rooms were in the new wing. The beds were very comfortable with nice clean bed linen. The room was very clean. We liked the big bathroom and big shower area. The breakfast was varied, with a lot of local tasty dishes. Not great choice of fruit, but there were some apples and oranges or grapefruit. It was nice that they had someone who made omelettes on the spot. Since they do not eat pork, the choice of ham was weird looking, I haven't tried it. We especially liked the staff. They were always smiling and chatting with us at the reception, they gave us maps and helpful tips. A big thank you to them! Extra tip. If you go to Istanbul, please visit the Asian side too. We liked it a lot, it is cheaper, nicer and so vibrant. Loved the terraces and restaurants there.

The only negative thing is that the coffee was instant, but the tea was very good.

At first we were about to stay at the hotel Sapphire but we were transferred to the Maywood hotel (of the same owner) The Maywood hotel was great, we loved it! It was clean and cozy. Breakfast was included in the price and it was a good breakfast. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. I got sick while staying there and they helped me with finding the ride to the hospital. The location is great as well and everything we wanted to visit was 15-30 minutes by foot. We even got a goodbye gift from the staff and we loved it :) I would definitely book this hotel again!

The only downside is that the room we were in was looking at some ventilation (not sure what it is) so it was really noisy when we open the window but to be honest everything else was perfect that this couldnt ruin my stay

For your information, the Sapphire is requesting us to move yo the Maywood Hotel due to some concern in the Sapphire Hotel (1-2 months ago). This hotel is good property

Beds are quite short, I'm 181 and my feet were on the edge if I laid straight. Fine if you have the whole bed to yourself and you can lay diagonally

Very good hotel in the city center. Close to everything and with breakfast included. Very nice staff and bedrooms big enough for two people.

Hotel is renovated, and looking modern now. All furniture is new. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Very good location, you can take a walk to main touristic sites on European side of Istanbul. Also is 2 min. to tram station, or Marmaray train, and ferry. Staff is friendly and helpful.

room service kept ignoring the 'do not disturb' sign, the breakfast is quite repetitive - not a lot of types of garnish to choose from (no rice or pasta, for example)

The location is amazing. We can go walking to everywhere, and its very near to the city center and the metro station. I recommended.

Comfortable rooms, fairly spacious given the central location. Responsive and friendly staff. Cleaning every day. Good sound proofing. You can sleep soundly. Nice breakfast, huge variety of options.

Area is in peak tourist town which means a dozen waiters will try and get you into their restaurant as soon as you leave the hotel (not the hotel's fault, of course, but travelers should be aware!). I'd still recommend this hotel.

Great location, close to main historical sites. It is a busy area but no problems with noise. Hotel completely renewed. Confortable bed a great shower. Swimming pool and sauna. Nice and helpful hotel personnel.

Breakfast is good but could be improved, with some pastries and more options of cold cuts, fresh fruit juices, oatmeal.

The location was perfect. Walking distance from most of the sights. Really helpful and kind staff. We booked a Bosporus dinner tour on the reception - really great experience and tasty food. The shampoo and bodywash were incredible.

We were given a room on the 6th floor. Great view but was so hot inside we couldn't sleep. The AC was with central control. The room had a little mold smell when you enter. We were a little dissapointed from the breakfast. There were a lot of things prepared but most of them tasted bad.

The hotel is located in near the main visiting spots. It was really easy to arrive to the hotel with the public transport and google maps. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. Even though the breakfast starts at seven, we were able to have it at 5.30 as we needed to leave early in the morning. The room was comfortable and cleaning was done daily. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. Near the hotel are a lot of restaurants where you can eat. The most important attractions are located nearby and 5-10 minutes walk you can reach them. Also the public transport is 3 minutes walk. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and recommend it.

The hotel is very nice,comfortable and very clean. Location is perfect, in the walking distance of everything in city centre. All the compliments to the staff, everyone was super nice and friendly. The breakfast is amazing, a lot of options. In the and we received a gift from the hotel, tea and traditional Turkish tea glasses. And they organised transfer for us to the airport for really good price.

Great location especially for first time visitors. Also very close to tram/metro. Very good value for money. Great bathroom.

Minor point is the coffee at breakfast downstairs. The coffee standards in Turkey are quite high so I guess there’s room for improvement in the hotel.

Everything you want is there.the stuff is very good and cooperative, particularly halili and Ali, actually all of them are very good . The location of the hotel is excellent. Everything near you the tram station, the tourist places. High recommended 👌

The location is excellent, quiet, but close to everything. The room is nice and quite spacious and the breakfast excellent. Got towels , slippers, bath gowns. Good WiFi. Bed large enough, comfortable, just the pillows are a bit too hard for me. They got a luggage storage room, where you can keep your bags after check out. I will return without doubt, and can recommend without doubt.

Wir waren das erste Mal in diesem Hotel und waren sehr zufrieden. Es ist sauber und die Zimmer sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es liegt sehr zentral und ruhig in einer Seitenstraße. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Rooms were very comfortable, location excellent with some extremely good restaurants in the area and also central to all the main attractions of Istanbul. The breakfast was very good and all the staff were extremely hospitable and helpful.

A comfortable place to stay in Istanbul with friendly staff and great location. It's very convenient to reach public transportation and also you have all the major touristic places around. Also a lot of places to eat nearby.

Breakfast could be improved in the sense to be more diverse and not to have exactly the same options each morning.

first of all i wanted to thanks every member of staff of hotel sapphire.this hotel was one of the best experience of mine while stay in istanbul.the room was clean and gorgeous.we went there from England so the weather was bit hot for us😆.AC was worked properly.buffet breakfast was decent and delicious.staff was friendly and smiley.i will highly recommend this hotel if anyone want to visit sultanahmet area.once again cheers.

It was better than expected, location is perfect - the street is beautiful and I didn’t wish to be located anywhere else. Everything was close from here. Staff were very kind, room was cleaned everyday and we got everything we needed. They were very kind to us and our baby. Loved the egg station for breakfast - it’s not too big and mostly same every day but had everything needed. Will for sure come back again to this hotel.

Walls are little bit thin, we had some noisy neighbours bit that’s alright as well, cant expect 100% soundproof space 😊

The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and fresh eggs to cooked to order.

The swimming pool isn't built yet- they signpost you to a neighbouring hotel.
