319 Addington Motel

The location was not far from a very busy road but it suited me because it was around the corner from my sister. It was very close to a small set of shops where you can access a doctor, pharmacy, bottle shop, nice cafe and an old character pub, church, barbers, a basic turkish kebab place with the best falafel kebab I've ever had. If you request room B you can sit at your little dining table for two and look out at the port hills. At the shops you could catch two buses the orbiter that does a full circle around Christchurch and another bus that takes you into the CBD in one direction or a shopping mall in the other direction, both of which are quite close by bus. Room was quite modern. There was self service laundry on site, $4 for a wash using two $2 coins and five dollars for the dryer.

The accommodation was booked in a hurry because I came over for a funeral. I like to cook my own simple food when I can, I don't like eating too much bought food, but there was only one pot. There is a two element cook top and a microwave so I could have cooked more if there was more kitchen equipment. I'm going to speak to the owners about this, usually in NZ if you can self-cater there is more equipment. I would have liked a box of tissues and a laundry powder dispensing machine. I didn't have a hire car as my brother and sister were transporting when they could. The supermarket was a short bus ride away but you are limited by how much you can carry back.

I’m highly impressed especially for the price and the heat pump was on when we got here so it wasn’t cold when we arrived late, it’s the little things that make a big difference, very clean room and very comfy bed, I would definitely book again!

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here. It's always clean, staff are great, water pressure in the shower is awesome.

The dinner plates don't fit in the microwave.

The issues we had was the TV is tiny and the cooking utensils not well suited. We only had a large pot to cook in. A fry pan and smaller pots would have been a way better choice

Our room was spotless and comfortable. There is a small kitchen where you can cook food if need be. Water pressure in the shower is perfect! It was also easy to warm up using the heat pump when it got colder on some nights. The rooms get serviced everyday so that was a really nice cherry on top. Staff is friendly and welcoming, too. We really enjoyed our stay!

The motel is on the corner of a busy intersection so maneuvering can be challenging and it can be a bit car-noisy sometimes. We didn't mind these, though, but might be deal-breakers for some.

Really great value. King bed in no.7. Water pressure in shower was excellent and size of bathroom spacious. Great place for a weekend stopover. Staff really lovely. Great lady on reception.

There was a little bit of road noise, but very comfortable beds. Slept well.

The location and the price was very good

Location .. in relation to where we had to do our business was central. Room D we chose was quiet and tucked back from the others. Good space inside the room. Younger lady (early 30s? ) made us feel welcome on arrival.

A stranger knocked on my door, so I went outside and found a trash bag filled with condoms and food waste left there, which made me feel really uncomfortable. This isn't hotel's fault.

The room is clean, and so is the shower. Room is big enough for a family of 3. Nice and friendly staffs.

The motel is located right beside the road so it’s a bit loud. And it’s a bit far away from the city.

Despite a confusing check-in experience and a lost key (our fault), this was a wonderful five-night stay. The owners are really friendly, and the rooms are clean, well-appointed and serviced every day. I saw in reviews somewhere else that the showers were amazingly powerful. They certainly are! To get to the centre of the city, the 60 bus passes right by the entrance. Turn left and walk a very short distance to the stop. We also spent three days driving to various attractions around the city, including the International Antarctic Experience, close to the airport.

The location is a great staging area for arriving, departing, or just sightseeing. Very clean and the staff is very helpful.

The property is off a Main Street so it can be busy at certain times of the day.

Bed was comfortable black out curtains were really good for a sleep in dew to our event being afew late nights. Shower was really good and a good selection of hot chocolate and teas available in room. Parking nice and close to the rooms and big enough to a Ute. Happy with our stay :)

Some of the towels could be replaced. One towel was rip on the end
