Our hosts were absolutely fantastic! They were accommodating and made us feel so welcomed with our little 11 month old. They have great communication and went out of their way to help us where they could, especially with our little one. The house is generous in size and yet so cosy and comforting with attention to detail. Wonderful central location where we could explore from. Thank you Hermien and Reynhardt!

Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Gastgeber, haben gute Tips zum shoppen erhalten. Frühstück war super lecker, Müssli wurde frisch zubereiten auch mit frischem Obst. Lage war für uns sehr gut, liegt zwar vis-a-vis vom Spital an einer grossen Strasse, aber der Strassenlärm war nicht störend und Nachts wars ruhig.

Beautiful decorated, neat, clean with a relaxing atmosphere and kid friendly. We enjoyed the swimming pool. She communicated well and added touches to our stay to make it more special for us and our kid. Especially the attractive breakfast presentation she made for my baby. Great hospitality. Easy check in and check out. Definately coming back here the next time I'm in Oudshoorn. Host is close enough for your comfort yet gives you absolute privacy.

Everything!!! This is the best guesthouse we’ve ever stayed in. Everything is well maintained and beautiful. From cold refreshments in a fridge, to a lovely pool, cool room on arrival, fantastic friendly and very competent owner. Hermien goes above and beyond what is expected and more. The beds, the linen, the facilities, just perfect!

Unser Zimmer war etwas klein aber völlig ausreichend für eine kurzen Aufenthalt. Es gibt auch größere Zimmer die uns angeboten wurden.

Wir haben diese Unterkunft für eine Übernachtung gebucht. Die offizielle Check-in-Zeit war bis 18:00 Uhr, wir sind jedoch um 18:30 Uhr angekommen und es war niemand mehr da, um uns zu empfangen. Wir haben die Notfallnummer angerufen, die am Eingang angeschrieben war, aber niemand hat geantwortet. In der Zwischenzeit sind andere Hotelgäste eingetroffen, die versucht haben zu helfen und den Besitzer angerufen haben, doch auch sie konnten niemanden erreichen – so viel zur Zuverlässigkeit der Notfallnummer. Später erhielten wir die Nachricht, dass es so behandelt werde, als wären wir nicht erschienen, und die Unterkunft wurde uns berechnet, obwohl wir sie nicht genutzt haben.

It might be the best guest house I have ever been to, and I’m a Genius Level 3! Everything is sparkling clean, smells fresh, breakfast is home made and delicious, location is perfect. But the best part is the owner, very helpful and hospitable. If I could have taken this guest house with me everywhere, I would.

We honestly couldn't have been received better! This guest house has an amazing hostess, Hermein. And the facilities where amazing. Our host, gave us amazing recommendations and they did not disappoint.

Lovely property. Rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Aircon was a saving grace during a very hot weekend. Breakfast was scrumptious. Lovely garden with a sparkling pool. Beautifully kept property. Just the right distance from the festival activities. Very friendly hosts.

Got there a little late and didn't feel the vibe was great that we arrived a later time, even though we communicated we would arrive at this time. Understand that it's a guest house and the host may stay there but people are on trips and South Africa is a larger place that Oudtshoorn, arrival times can vary. House is extremely warm, sauna levels of warm. There is AC in the bedroom but the bathrooms are almost unbearable levels of warm.

Hermien and her husband are such a good host welcoming us in their guesthouse. Super friendly, nice and giving good tips. This also includes the restaurant Nostalgia, don’t doubt - it’s worth to go there- and the bonus is they will pick you up from the guesthouse. And for the guesthouse itself, good value for money. It’s clean, good size, shared living downstairs, aircon, good breakfast and a good pool. Overall very happy to have stayed here

Karoo Sun Boutique Guest House is a well managed and immaculate stay by its owner, Hermien. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large, clean, comfortable and nicely curated, as are the shared spaces in the dining, living rooms and outside poolside area. Breakfast was delicious. Hermien went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. We heartily recommend this boutique guest house.

Hermien was extremely friendly, helpful and always available. She gave good advice of places of interest and where to eat.

I cannot fault this property. I just wish I could have stayed longer

Hermien greeted us on arrival, booked a dinner reservation and organized transportation to and from the restaurant, all before we checked in. The Guest house is charming, breakfast was scrumptious and hospitality was excellent. She also booked a tour at Cango Caves for us and let us store our luggage while we did the tour. We would highly recommend staying here when staying in the area!!

We were not happy to park outside on "pavement but they promise us that our vehicle will be safe. They offered us their garage but did not accept it.

Perfect location close to the NG Smit pool. Rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts are super helpful and friendly.

It was very quaint, well cared for, and thoughtful put together. You could tell it had been the owner’s family home and they took pride in caring for it and welcoming guests.

There’s nothing in the owners could’ve done about this (so not at all their fault), but when there’s load shedding, it can be sticky in the room without the AC. They do have fans that are helpful but overall it’s better to just open the windows.

I did not like the shared bar fridge for all the rooms. If there are many guest, the fridge is too small. It would be great and much convenient if every room can have its own bar fridge.

Very welcoming, warm and cosy, clean and great establishment. Friendly owners and safe area. With the inverters they have installed, you don't even feel load shedding. Overall, this is where I'll be staying every time I'm in Oudtshoorn.

Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und um das Wohlergehen bemüht. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Von den Inhabern erhält man super Restaurant Tipps und auch Tipps für die Umgebung, respektive Ausflüge. Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr ordentlich. Die Unterkunft war in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand.
