Reviewed Sep 16, 2026食事が夕朝食共に良く美味しくいただきました。紫陽花の季節ではなかったですが色んな所に散りばめられていてとても良かったですし新芽がもう出ていました。スタッフの方のさ対応も良かったです。
お風呂の湯温度が少し低めだったのかな?

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026직원들도 너무 친절하고 밥도 맛있었어요. 오래된 료칸이지만 어디보다 깨끗했습니다. 특히 온천물이 너무 좋아서 어른들이 무척 좋아하셨어요. 여행한 숙소중 가장 마음에 든다고 칭찬이 자자했어요!
딱히 없지만 노천탕을 가는길에 계단이 너무 많아서 왔다갔다 하니 다리에 알이 베겼어요. 그것말곤 다 좋았습니다.

주변 편의점 등이 전무하긴 합니다.ㅜ 뚜벅이분들은 미리 주전부리가 필요하시다면 사오시길... (가장 가까운 편의점이 도보 2.3키로, 저녁6시반에 마감.ㅜ) 근데 걍 료칸 안에서 온천욕 즐기면서 편안하고 안락하게 힐링하는 공간입니다.

Reviewed Dec 22, 2025Very big room, extravagant in fact. I had a open air bath outside the living room. It is my first time trying something like that and I love the experience. I can see the stars at night and hear the river gushing past. Had a dedicated room for meals. Lavish and beautiful meals.
The room's bathroom is small but we have an open air bath. We had to carry our bags down to the guest room level because the lift does not reach that floor. We walked to the anagase train station but it is far and nothing in there.

Reviewed Dec 15, 2025Spacious room having individual bath tub in the room which my old dad liked it most. Dinner and breakfast were literally full of food with real japanese dishes. The ryokan was located a little bit surburb but I even liked it because it had the old japanese small town vibe. Even though some staff members were not good at english, no problem at all in communicating with them when using cell-phone translator. Lovely staffs and lovely manager, named Junko who kindly wrote greeting cards in Korean - My 8yr daughter still talks about her. Absolutely good value for the money.

Il y a 2 types de Onsen pour les femmes, celui en plein air et sympa mais il faut vraiment faire plusieurs metres et prendre des escaliers pour y arriver; ce n'est pas difficile mais un peu desagreable en hiver.

Reviewed Nov 21, 2025I did not like anything in this hotel.
They do not answer the messages. I tried to contact them on Booking before the reservation because I have a gluten allergy. They did not answer. I tried to contact them three more times about the food. I paid for dinner and breakfast and for the price, you would think the would adapt the menu. Think again. Not only did they not adapt the menu I paid for, they told me they couldn't change any of the meals and did not research anything in order to cook something gluten free. I mean: it is pretty simple. Eggs, rice, vegetables and fruits. No need to reinvent the wheel. They served dinner to me as I was not allergic and I had to watch all the food I had paid for and couldn't eat in front of me. I tried messaging them to prepare for this in case the hotel couldn't prepare anything gluten free and they didn't answer so I had no food in me at the time. As they are far from any supermarket, I basically couldn't eat anything and they did not seem to care. When we checked in, the room was old and the bathroom was dirty, so that added salt to the wound. They also did not care to explain anything about the onsen or the public bath and we started to think that they did not want us to enjoy the facilities because we were foreigners. Do not get me wrong: we went there because of the onsen and the food. We had to leave after one night. We wrote customer service at Booking and the hotel didn't even answer when Booking tried to contact them. They also did not change the reservation and they did not answer for days to my claims or bookings claims. We lost al the money we paid because of the hotel and we had to pay more to leave to another place because I couldn't eat anything. To this day, the have refunded only 1/4 of what I paid for. Not even the service fee. I would not stay here if I were you because Booking does not help either when you try to recover your money. For me it is a health issue and the hotel did not care.

저녁식사가 너무 아쉬웠음 유투브보고 선택해서 어른들 모시고 갔는데 식사가 부실했어요 노천탕도 찬물 수도 하나밖에 없어서 샤워하기 힘들어서 대욕장에서 씻은후 몸만담그고 와야해서 불편했어요 숙박비에 목욕비용 포함인줄알았는데 체크아웃할때 한명당 돈을더내야함

Reviewed Aug 29, 2025일단 전망이 너무나도 좋았고 직원분들이 전부 친절했어요! 노천탕도 가이세키도 조식도 정말 좋고 편하게 잘 쓰다 갑니다. 특히 와규가 짘짜 부드럽고 맛있었네요. 저희가 간 날이 그런진 잘 모르겠지만, 사람이 없는게 오히려 편하고 한적하니 좋았던 것 같아요.
아쉬운 점 전혀 없지만, 구지 뽑자면 히타 시내랑 조금 멀다? 그래서 렌트카 있는 분들은 오기 편한데 뚜벅이 분들은… 그래도 그걸 감안하더라도 문제 없을 정도로 너무 좋았어요!

We could see tranquil atmosphere of Amagase onsen village with wall-like mountain alongside the river. Kaiseki dinner was fantastic. We could see true Japanese hospitality here. Reviewed Dec 12, 2024직원분들은 대체로 친절 했으나 석식 조식을 가져가 주시는 나이 많은 여직원분은 친절하지 않았음 가이세키와 조식은 아쉬웠지만 평을 보고 감안하고 간것이라 괜찮았고 동네자체가 너무 이쁘고 제대로 힐링이었다 아마가세 자체가 너무나 이쁘고 역에 계신 아주머니 직원분 넘넘 친절하셨고 그분이 아마가게의 좋은 기억이 8할 이상 하신듯,! 송영버스는 미리 예약하지 않아도 역에 도착하면 그 직원분께서 숙소로 전화해주신다

The owner here is so kind, she walked us to our car when we were leaving and thanked us for coming. I am so happy to have met such wonderful people in Japan. I would have liked to have more English information about the hot springs, gift shop, meals and private rooms available at the onsen. There was an employee that could speak English and she was very helpful, so we managed to get things done smoothly for check-in and meals.

Reviewed Jan 26, 2024- The room was huge. All inclusive. My room had the bathtub. River view was also nice. - The breakfast and dinner were delicious. We can see that they made a lot of effort in detail. - The hotel offers 6 onsen baths (4 inside the hotel; 2 outside which you need to walk down the stairs). - Staff were super friendly.
If you drive a car, the car park may be limited in front of the hotel, but the hotel said they have reserved parking spots. Another thing I may not like is that it was quite a distance to walk to the onsen which was outside the hotel.

Reviewed Jan 6, 2024Fantastic family run traditional hotel. The room was huge and the futons were very comfortable which they made for us while we ate dinner. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They have 2 great Onsen's. The food was so good and there were so many dishes to enjoy for both dinner and breakfast. So many nice little touches, they even gave me a gift when we checked out. We arrived by car, and we found that the name of the hotel was different to the name on our booking, which was a little confusing but not a negative. This hotel is so quirky and authentic, a must stay away from other tourist traps!

Reviewed Jan 4, 2024The staff were very polite. The indoor onsen was good with an adjoining outdoor pool. The forest bath was about 8 minutes walk down steps, a good experience.
The wooden bath tub in the room (fill your own tap water) has algae at the bottom. Housekeeping should scrub it away. There was a baby cockroach crawling on my bed in the morning. Gave me the creeps that it was sleeping with me the night before. A bottle of insecticide was provided in the room so I guess insects are to be expected. I told the staff at checkout n he apologised and did not seem surprised at all.

Reviewed Dec 28, 2023히타에서 료칸숙박을 원한다면 우키하벳칸신시요 강강강강강강추합니다!!!! 일단 아침, 저녁 식사가 알차구요, 노천탕도 유황 냄새 가득하니 한번만 담구고 나와도 피부가 매끈매끈해집니다~! 아마가세역에서 송영서비스도 해주시고, 정말 친절합니다. 넓직하고 아늑한 방에서 정말 잘 묵다 갑니다.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2023酒店位置十分清靜，環境美好。由於洒店在山中，附近沒有食店和便利店，所以一定要使用洒店膳食服務，晚餐和早餐非常優秀，值得選擇。浴場環境也十分好，大浴場或戶外浴場可望山景，房間的浴室同可望山景，不過只可一人用，但望過大浴場，一定不會留在房間浸浴。整體十分滿意。

Reviewed Jun 12, 2023property very clean, toilet and shower seperate. staff were friendly and helpful, able to get hotel pick up and drop off to train station (ask tourist information to help you ring hotel) the view is beautiful, can see and hear the river running. not crowded at all, the forest onsen bath was beautiful and our group was able to have it to ourselves for nearly 2 hours the normal open air bath also has pretty view and spacious dinner and breakfast were delicious and quantity was good as well. staff also prepare futons for us to sleep, it was very comfortable a lady staff in kimono sent us off in the morning.
quite a distance to travel, can use trains if you have JR pass, or purchase train tickets using ticket machine still, very worth the travel

Reviewed May 7, 2023직원분들이 다 친절하고 숙소도 매우 청결상태가 좋습니다. 온천도 1층 야외 노천탕 2층 온천이 있는데 다 마음에 들었습니다. 온천은 1층이 저녁 11시까지인가 사용가능하고 2층이 저녁 12시까지 사용가능했던걸로 기억해요. 아침식사 시간은 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 중 하나 선택하시면 되구요. 저녁식사를 저희는 8시에 먹어서 자세한 시간대는 기억이 안 나네요. 저녁이 약간 코스식으로 나오는데 코스식으로 나오는거 싫으신분은 그냥 한번에 달라고 하시면 될거 같아요.

We went for both of our birthdays with my boyfriend and they even gave us presents🎁while we were at dinner. Speaking of the dinner; It was incredible. The dinner is self would have cost more than the price of the night outside of Amagase. The breakfast was also very rich, very traditional. I think the price is pretty affordable for the quality of service.👍The staff was so good to us. They even got us to the train station the day we left ! The onsens where so relaxing♨️ I highly recommend you to stay at this place. It is the best place that I stayed at in Japan so far and I’ve been here for a month☺️ the futons are surprisingly very comfortable. Even though we took the least expensive room was very big and beautiful. THANK YOU so much ! love💕

Reviewed Jan 23, 2023露天風呂まで長いです。そして脱衣所は浴槽の横、外なので寒かったです。暫くお湯に浸かっていないと出られませんでしたでした。もう少しお湯の温度が高いと嬉しいです。 夕食は充分なくらいの量でした。お肉はとても柔らかく美味しいかったです。 ありがとうございました。

Reviewed Jan 20, 2023Great staff. Very friendly. Excellent attitude and service although most staffs could not speak English at all. Not much to do in the area. Dinner is very good. Lots of food. Recommended.
