Der freundliche Empfang und die Beantwortung unserer Fragen war hervorragend. Es gab außerdem noch reichlich Tipps, wie man den Stadtrundgang plant. Das Frühstück hat alle Erwartungen entsprochen

The property is a nice Portugal style house that has been converted into a hotel. The means it has its original decor and character. Staff always tried to be helpful and this made the stay even better. Great shower, bed and hospitality!

The access to this property gives a lot to be desired. I found it clunky and error prone. The staff for instance would not give you the door code on the last day even though you can leave your bags or not take up breakfast onsite. This meant I was told “you are going today so you can’t have the door code” even though I wanted to go down the road and have breakfast and come back to check out. The AC in my room failed during one of the nights, which was swiftly fixed. However, the bit I didn’t like was the unit was so noisy compared to other rooms units. I didn’t bring this up at the time, as I thought that was just normal noise it makes. After going into another room of our party, I noticed the AC unit was remarkably quieter than the I was staying in, which was room 6

Zona molto tranquilla, accoglienza ottima, disponibilità di parcheggi lungo le vie , a circa 1 kmdal centro storico , quindi comodo. Buona la colazione, ampia scelta.

Solo la scomodità delle stanze all ultimo piano, ma e' così in tutto il Portogallo....l ascensore ....manca sempre! Qui giustificato dal fatto che il palazzo e' storico, molto elegante .

L'accoglienza!! La stanza aveva ben tre finestre, una particolarità la pendenza del pavimento, un letto grande tenendo conto l'altezza di mio marito 1,90. Una colazione completa con personale presente

Eliminerei la passatoia sulle scale, da noi non si usa più da tanto, abolito tutto ciò che riguarda tappeti, moquette ecc.

La chambre n°6 est une cage à poule. Avec une salle de bain construite en tasseaux de bois et un plexiglas. La climatisation (ce qui ressemble à une climatisation) fait un brouhaha incroyable. Je précise que je n'ai pas été dans les autres chambres, donc je ne juge que ce que j'ai vu.

L'emplacement à 15 min à pieds du pont Dom Luis, dans un quartier assez calme. On trouve une place de parking dans la rue. La literie est confortable. Le petit déjeuner est bien. Une valeur sûre pour une nuit à Porto.

A very nice old house, very well kept. Slightly off the core of the city but only away 5 minutes to everything. A very fine breakfast. A quiet and cozy place. very good price/quality ratio

each room of an old house that clearly had no bathroom has been turned into an en-suite...practical, but very very minimalistic....it is a smart solution but the romance of the place and of the lovely rooms...a pity.

Well-appointed suite with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom with shower in an early 20th Century townhouse.

Charming old building. Location was great and within walking distance to old town and the river.

We had to climb 2 fights of steep stairs to get to our room with our heavy suitcases (difficult for seniors in their 70's). The room we had on the 2nd floor was very small with no storage and only enough space to open one suitcase at a time. However, the old charm of the building and location made this well worth it.

Frühstück war sehr gut, die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich. Zimmer war schön.

Bett ist etwas zu schmal (160 cm) für 2. Kein Kasten fürs Gewand, keine Ablagemöglichkeit im Bad. Dusche zu eng und Duschkopf sehr unpraktisch.

Sehr nettes Personal, gutes Frühstück. Klimaanlage vorhanden und funktioniert. Man schnell vom Guesthouse ins Zentrum gelaufen. Mit der Metro in der Nähe ist das Guesthouse gut zu erreichen. Sehr modernes Sicherungssystem an der Haustür.

Bedenke, dass es keine Fahrstuhl gibt. Wir hatten ein sehr kleines Zimmer mit nachträglich abgetrenntem Bad. Für zwei Nächte aber völlig ausreichend.

The location was excellent. The staff were very accommodating. Close to the Metro and 20min walk from the bus station. Tea and coffee were in the room.

Not only the location was amazing, very close to the train station, the room, staff and breakfast was great, BUT Luis, the owner, allowed us to not only have our suitcases stored for 9 days but also dealt with our rental bike delivery, stored the boxes and the pick up! OUTSTANDING!!!!

Un lugar malísimo. Nos asignaron una habitación improvisada de 2x6. No había ni cama matrimonial ni dos camas, sino una cama cucheta. No había forma de acomodar valijas. Reclamamos y no nos dieron ninguna solución. Teníamos 2 noches reservadas y pagadas. Les pedimos que nos reconocieron una noche porque no podíamos hospedarnos ahí, nos dijeron que lo harían, pero nunca nos devolvieron nada. Un lugar terrible!

Der er mange trapper til 2. sal og ikke for gangbesværede. Mit værelse var meget lille og ikke til 2 personers bagage, men absolut moderne. Det er ikke muligt at købe noget efter morgenmaden. Jeg savnede F. Eks en automat med øl, vand, sodavand, små vin på 1. sal. NØGLEKODEN TIL DØREN. JEG HAVDE HELD MED AT VÆKKE NOGLE GÆSTER PÅ 1. ETAGE , ELLERS VAR JEG IKKE KOMMET IND KLOKKEN 9 OM AFTENEN.

Nous avons réservé une chambre double dans cet hébergement pour notre dernière nuit dans la région de Porto. Nous avons été accueillis quelques heures plus tard, et il nous a été dit que notre chambre réservée en ligne n'était plus disponible. Nous avons été hébergés dans une minuscule chambre ridiculement petite avec un lit superposé. Il faut savoir que pour moins chèr vous pouvez trouver une chambre à Porto. Ce que nous avions fait en arrivant à Porto à l'hôtel MIRADOURO (au top). Il nous a été offert un café et un porto pour faire passer la pilule...mais elle n'arrive pas à passer. J'ai demandé un remboursement qui a été refusé. Hôtel à éviter.

Première fois que j'ai ce genre de déconvenue en réservant via Booking. La chambre réservée ne correspondait pas à celle où nous avons dormis. Réservée une chambre avec un lit double de 15 m carré, nous avons dormi dans une chambre de 3 metres carrés dans des lits superposés.

The bed was very comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The staff helped us carry our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. The room was very clean. Breakfast was great!

The shower was tiny! Beware the mosquitos if you open the windows!

Parking en la calle

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr schön und sauber und ist super zentral gelegen und trotzdem ist es ruhig. Die Hausdame ist wirklich sehr herzlich, so dass man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Auch das Frühstück ist reichlich. Ich kann es nur jedem ans Herz legen, dort zu buchen und sage danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!!!

Ich kann nichts negatives sagen.

El personal es muy amable, la calefacción funcionaba bien.

La habitación era muy estrecha de forma rectangular, la cama ocupaba prácticamente todo el rincón, por lo que acostarse y levantarse es complicado. El cuarto de baño está en el otro rincón, está hecho en Pladur y una pared de policarbonato para darle luz. No hay armario y la percha es muy incomoda para colgar la ropa.

Ein Schmuckstück von einem Haus, sorgfältig eingerichtet, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich würde wiederkommen bei einem nächsten Besuch in Porto.

We stayed two nights here while traveling through northern Portugal. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, and although they spoke little English, they made a genuine effort to communicate and were always helpful. The queen size bed was comfortable. Breakfast, included with the room, was very good, with attentive service and plenty of choices. Freshly squeezed orange juice is a mainstay of Portuguese breakfasts, and the coffee here was acceptable. The dining area was cozy and relaxed, making for a pleasant start to the day. The guesthouse was conveniently close enough to the city center but far enough away to be quiet with little traffic.

The guesthouse is typical of many older European properties—adequate and well-kept, though showing some awkward adaptations of using a building nearly a century old. Our room, though high-ceilinged and ornate, was rather small, with limited space to sit comfortably or unpack luggage. As in many older places, the bathroom felt a bit improvised, fitted into one end of the room. The shower door leaked quite a bit, and no amount of adjustment seemed to fix the problem. I never understand why issues like that remain unaddressed—it’s a nuisance for guests and likely causes more damage over time.

Il Dukes Corner è una buona Guest House. Si trova a circa 15 minuti dal centro raggiungibile a piedi o con mezzi pubblici; si può arrivare dall'aeroporto con la metropolitana che ha la fermata Heroismo a circa 450 m. La Guest House è situata in una zona residenziale tranquilla. Avevamo la camera 1, molto grande. Il personale è molto accogliente e disponibile a fornire informazioni sulla città. La colazione è normale, con molta scelta ed ottima spremuta di arancia.

Sarebbe migliorabile un pochino la pulizia del bagno.

Great location away from downtown. The sheets were so soft and comfy. Wonderful staff.

Walls were a bit thin.

The location was great, walking distance from train and bus station, in an area near schools, university, and it seemed more residential with fun small restaurants and businesses near by. Staff super helpful, welcoming. Our room was super small but very clean and efficient. Comfortable bed. We didn't spend much time there so space didn't matter to us. Walking distance to waterfront and more historic areas. Fun, charming and unique place!

La amabilidad del personal.

Zimmer mit Charme Landesüblich, Frühstück gut, Lage: Altstadt sehr gut erreichbar. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Trotz verspäteter Flugankunft ( 3:00 Uhr Nachts) wurden wir kostenfrei eingecheckt. Normale Eincheckzeit endet um 22:00 Uhr. Bis 24:00 mit Aufpreis 20€ pro Person Aufpreis, die sie nicht berechnet haben. Einfach klasse.

Zimmer im 2. Stock mit sehr steilen und hohen Treppen, die Stufen waren unterschiedlich hoch entsprechend dem Alter des Hauses

Old traditional Portugués building not too far to walk to centre and Metro close too.

The room I stayed in when I returned in evening had a terrible smell of sewerage. The aircon / heater was on pumping out hot air so consequently the room was baking hot, I had not turned this on. I had to open all the windows to allow the room to cool down which then was quite noisy with traffic and people until early hours. The kettle has no plug near it so not the easiest to make a drink. Tea bags in my room had been previously opened and not used. Only green tea, no black tea and 2 stick of coffee. The shower flooded the bathroom, I’ve since read a review that’s says the door needs to be pulled in further, probably better the owners actually fix this. I didn’t like that bacon and cooked meats were stored in same container at breakfast. Maybe it was cured meat to be fried, but didn’t appear to be so to me. No I wouldn’t recommend staying here, the hostel I stayed in, in Porto when I first arrived before doing my Camino was far superior to this. This was meant to be a treat after completing my Camino, far from it sadly.

Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt um zu Fuß in die Altstadt zu laufen. Runterherum gibt es genug Restaurants und eine fantastische Bar (Fiasco) mit toller Music und guten Cocktails. Das Haus ist alt, hat aber durchaus seinen Charme.

Leider hatten wir für die Nacht nur eine dünne Decke im Bett und im September wird es Nachts schon relativ kalt. Es war niemand mehr im Haus um das Problem zu lösen , das war recht unschön.

Although we wanted a quiet neighborhood area, there was a lot of walking to get to city center and other attractions. We didn’t mind the walking. The quiet nights were more of a priority to us.

Good…reception shows how to operate electronic lock for access to building Location 25 min. Walk to river. Price. The bad…2 storeys is like 4, lots of stairs. Floors are uneven if you have mobility problems. First thing reception did was say we owed them more $ (prepaid through Expedia) Restaurant they directed us to wasn't open No vanity space, just a sink. Wifi intermittent. TV intermittent. Shower small. The ugly…No heat (Porto was 11⁰C/52⁰F overnight 09/21/2025), very uncomfortable. Probably the reason for the musty smell. Noisy for a supposedly quiet neighborhood…garbage truck at 11:30 at night!? Should have paid more for another place.

Lovely old house with a quirky en suite conversion. Friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast. Near to the centre of Porto, in a quiet location.

Excelente atención del personal, nos dejaron entrar algo antes de las 3. Aparcamos en la misma calle sin pagar. Está muy cerca caminando del centro (unos 20 min de paseo) y para el punto más lejos cogimos Uber y por 3€ ya comenzamos el día desde los jardines del palacio de cristal y volvimos caminando. El desayuno muy completo. Las habitaciones con grandes ventanas. Es una casona de época reconvertida en hotel. Esto lo hace muy encantadora. Era una zona tranquila sin ruidos exteriores.

Al ser una casona de época reconvertida en hotel tiene algunos inconvenientes como habitaciones algo pequeñas para una cama supletoria y que no hay ascensor y son 3 pisos de escaleras que hay que subir las maletas, aunque el personal siempre está dispuesto a ayudarte. Se debe tener en cuenta pero no fue una incomodidad.

Guest house na na dobrém místě, cca 15 minut pěšky z centra a taktéž nedaleko metra či autobusového nádraží. Pokoj byl čistý. Personál milý, i když ne všichni mluvili anglicky. Podrobné instrukce ohledně otevírání dveří. Výborné snídaně i se zeleninou a ovocem, čerstvým pomerančovým džusem a pastel de nata. Ubytovala bych se zde znovu, jen v jiném pokoji.

Náš pokoj byl malinký, s palandou (jiný nebyl na výběr). Palanda stabilní, nevrže, ale zábradlí je jen nasazené, nelze se o něj při vylézání nahoru či slézání dolů opřít. Bohužel jsem se za něj chytla a spadla dolů i se zábradlím. V pokoji se nám objevili mravenci. Dům není bezbariérový.

מקום לא נוח בכלל. החדר ממוקם בקומה שנייה. יש המון מדרגות גבוהות ולא נוחות. אין מעלית !!!!! המקום ישן, אווירה אפרורית. החדר פשוט ביותר. הכל ישן ולא מזמין. הסביבה נראית ממש לא נעימה. אין חניה. הכניסה לא נוחה. חדר האוכל קטן מאוד. בעל המקום אדם לא נעים בכלל, דיבר בתוקפנות ולא הסכים לשום דבר שביקשנו. המקום לא התאים לנו בכלל, והוא לא הסכים לבטל את ההזמנה ולזכות אותנו אפילו באופן חלקי. העדפנו לברוח משם, למרות שהפסדנו את הכסף.

Desayuno bueno, personal muy atento de que no nos faltara de nada. El personal es una maravilla, nos ayudaron con varias cosas y siempre con una sonrisa.

Ya sabíamos que no habría ascensor, pero 2 pisos con los maletones fue un rollo...

L’emplacement, le quartier.

Chambre mal conçue et mal agencée. Trop petite pour trois. Une cabine de salle de bain a été rajoutée en plein milieu au détriment de l’espace disponible dans la chambre. Grande terrasse inutile en termes d espace à vivre. Petit déjeuner très frugal.

Accoglienza della proprietaria, atmosfera della casa, posizione, facilità di parcheggio e vicinanza al centro (a piedi). Struttura e camera con atmosfera particolare in un bell'angolo della citta.. Silenzio,ottima colazione. Conduzione familiare ma di qualità!
