the receptionist at the spa can have better training , felt like she was a tad impatient and that spoils the relaxed vibe one is opting to go to the spa for.

Vallet parking is intended to be used as vallet. The vallet guy gave me the keys and told me that the car is parked in the parking area if i want to go myself and get it. I understand his point of view but as long as the hotel offers a vallet parking then you should not ask guests these awkawrd stuff

The room view on the canyon , the garden full of fruits trees , the activities , the swimming pool , the restaurants and the very friendly staff .

The very expensive transport from and to the airport. I came from another country just to stay in this hotel and they charged me OMR 250 .

- الغرف واسعه والسرير جدا مريح - بمجرد دخول منطقة الاستقبال تشعر بالاحساس انك في جزر تايلند او المالديف -مرافق الفندق خياليه ويمكن ان يبقى النزيل فيها يوم كامل او يومين دون الحاجه للخروج منه - موقع الفندق رائع وبجانبه الكثير من الكوفيات والمطاعم والحياه الحيويه فقط بخطوات بسيطه بالمشي اقل عن دقائق عن الفندق يعني توقف السياره وتروح تمشي وتستمتع - الجو خيالي في الجبل الاخضر جربته في كل الفصولبارد جداً في الشتاء وحتى الصيف درجات الحراره لاتتعدى ٣٠ درجه في عز الظهر. - الموظفيين متعاونين بشكل رائع خاصة الموظف الهندي ( رجب ) في الاستقبال كلمة رائع قليله في حقه وقمة في الذوق والاخلاق والتعاون شكر خالص له - المنتجع الصحي خيالي ولازم تجربون المساج عندهم خطيرييين كانكم في تايلند واللي يسوون مساج كلهم متخصصين ومساجهم رهيب جربتهم اكثر عن ٧ مرات وفي كل مره مختلفين ولكن كلهم بنفس المستوى الرهيب. - المميز في الفندق وجود اغلب الاشجار المثمره المشهوره في الجبل الاخضر في مرافقه وكل نوع معلومات كامله بجانبه.

Stunning views, easy hotel transfers, delicious food, high quality decor and furniture, kids club, lush and well-landscaped grounds, and so much more!

We were there during Eid so the hotel was busier than usual. Obviously, the hotel cannot control who books a room there but the hotel was full of loud, disrespectful, messy guests on our first night which truly dampened the mood and “luxury” aspect of the hotel, which would be expected at an Anantara. They seemed to be one big group. The pool staff were busy dealing with these guests too meaning we (and others) were overlooked, so didn’t receive bottles of water, towels etc. Again, things you would expect at such a high- end hotel. The huge group seemed to have checked out on our second day so that evening was quieter, calmer, and allowed for the full 5* experience. It was like being in a different hotel!

Everything. Exceptional hotel located in exceptional site. The views are amazing and unparalleled. The best hospitality I have seen throughout my travels. The staffs are courteous, welcoming, friendly and very professional. The room is spacious with large and comfy bed with very spacious bathroom. Shout out to Anis, Hadi, Rami and many more. Also special shout out to Hassan who is my hiking guide who is exceptionally talented, experienced and knowledgeable. I would recommend booking activities with the hotel. Hope to spend another time in the future

The price can be slightly higher than other options but this is the exceptional premium hospitality institution and I think it is well spent.

Wonderful place to stay. The beauty of the mountains is extraordinary, the hotel is nicely accommodated to the nature.

After a long drive from Muscat, feeling weary we arrived at the hotel. The location, high up in the mountains of Oman is an absolute gem, much like a secret retreat of some kind. A hideaway. This is a very good hotel with excellent food, coffee, desserts etc. The women’s spa is an oversight; could be, should be, much better for a hotel of this rating. What prompts me to write this review is the quality of service which is outstanding. The hospitality-culture here is very good. I had mistakenly left my purse with CC, and cash, in a motorway service station en route (that long drive), and my butler arranged to get this returned to me, fully intact! Amazing. Rajib, you are a hero! Warmest thanks.

Tutto, soggiorno meraviglioso in un posto unico

I never write TripAdvisor reviews, but I wanted to make a special mention of the incredible Anis. He patiently waited to clean our room, and when he did, he went above and beyond. The room was spotless, he created a beautiful towel decoration, and even left us a thoughtful “see you soon” sign. It made our stay feel so special. Thank you, Anis!

De locatie is echt uitzonderlijk. Wat een uitzicht! En daarbij de meest luxe entourage qua verblijf en verzorging. Echt een paradijs!

We had a driver , but if you had hired a car , the drive up is doable even if you use to driving on the other side of the road. Police will however stop you if you don’t have a 4x4. It’s a 33km drive up. Check in was smooth. The rooms are large enough for us to put an extra bed in for our daughter. The breakfast is superb. With more than enough variety. The pool is nice. We were there in their winter and hence did not spend too much time in the pool. We could use the spa facilities even if you did not book any of the overpriced massages. Supper was also superb. Good variety. You could also use your credit voucher to go the restaurants- we went to the Italian restaurant. Quite ok. But have tasted better Italian food than this. Did not use the gym but looked well stocked. The walk to the villages is doable even for an unfit person as long you go slowly mainly because of the altitude.

What a wonderful stay, we stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon at a cliff villa. Everything was perfect, from the amazing restaurants, hospitality, services, attention to detail, I could go on and on. I highly recommend this and it is suitable for any occasion. Special thanks to Mr.Rajib for truly elevating the experience and always offering suggestions, help, always promptly assisting. It was an excellent experience that was elevated by his high level professionalism.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort. The hotel is absolutely stunning and offers a perfect blend of authentic Omani culture and luxury. The level of service exceeded our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. Our children had a fantastic time at the Kids’ Club and enjoyed cycling around the resort, which made the experience even more special for our family. The resort is also highly recommended for those who enjoy hiking and mountain climbing, thanks to its breathtaking location and surrounding nature. I would like to extend my special thanks to Mr. Mohammed, Mr. Rami, and Mr. Hamood for their outstanding hospitality. Their exceptional service truly made our experience memorable. The only downside was that the taxes and additional charges felt quite high, particularly at the restaurants and for activities. However, this did not take away from the overall quality of our stay.

Absolute perfection in the clouds. Whilst the drive up was slightly hair raising the resort itself was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The staff were impeccable in their hospitality, and the surroundings and views simply breathtaking. We loved the availability of bicycles around the compound as well as the various games at up such a jenga. The icing on the cake for us was how well the resident cats were taken care of, each seemed healthy and happy. It made our day when we spotted a cat hut (away from guest areas) with everything the kitties could need to be comfortable. As a family who are very much into animal welfare this absolutely was the highlight of our trip and we will definitely return given the clear ethics and values of this resort. If anyone is staying in room 157 pls feed the little kitten living on the mountain side outside the balcony/terrace area. Poor thing is too far from the resorts feeding station & appears abandoned by mum cat. We ate at two of the restaurants (aside from the buffet breakfast) and much preferred the Italian over the Arabic restaurant. Highly recommend the 3 village hike, we only made it to village 2 but it was a very scenic hike.

We spent a long time deciding between the Anantara and Indigo hotel. The two hotels are practically next door to each other. I'm glad we chose the Anantara (more luxurious, nicer hotel grounds, larger rooms). What we loved • Beautiful hotel complex in local style with many pretty places, flowers, and viewpoints • Very motivated, friendly service staff. • Efficient check-in • Outdoor bar with great drinks and sunset view • Extensive breakfast buffet of very good quality with various accents (European, Indian, local, gluten-free...) • Large room terrace with lounge for two people and view of the sunset • Quiet location • Romantic lighting of the hotel grounds in the evening • Spacious rooms in local style, modern and comfortable • The Italian restaurant Bella Vista (see separate review) What we didn't like so much • Nothing • (temperature at night, too cold to sit outside in bella vista restaurant)
