It is situated in a less busier place in Kota Kinabalu. The hotel is clean and the rooms are just the right size and the facilities are great too. The restaurants are nice too although some of the dishes (such as the lobster bisque) could be less salty. Staff are friendly and helpful, housekeeping is tip top and always attend to our needs immediately. Overall, it is truly a nice hotel and this is the third time we’re staying there. The hotel has never been short of expectations.

The Hilton had extra large rooms with a lounge, desk, plenty of water, hanging space etc. Breakfast selection was enormous . Also 12pm check out convient

Il y avait beaucoup de poussière même sur des endroits très visibles comme la table de nuit. De plus, au check out on nous demande de payer une taxe qui doit s’élever à 8% mais ils ont voulu nous facturer un peu plus de 21% (vérifiez bien avant de payer) de plus ils ont retiré 2 fois la taxe de tourisme 10rm/jour mais ne répondent pas à mes mails.

We recently stayed at this hotel as a group of seven, with kids and adults. Every single staff member here made us feel truly at home. I would especially like to express my gratitude to a few individuals: First, Diana at the front desk. We ran into a slight issue during check-in and needed to cancel one of our rooms. Ada Diana was not only extremely friendly and cooperative, but she also proactively followed up with our agent to help us resolve the issue swiftly. Next, Ronald from the concierge team. When we were considering joining a local tour, he gave us very practical advice and paid attention to every detail to ensure our trip ran smoothly. Beyond that, when we arranged our own independent activity on the second day, he thoughtfully followed up on our return plans and shared his contact information. Thanks to him, we were able to order room service via WhatsApp on our way back late at night—a truly five-star service and a prime example of staff going above and beyond for guests. In the restaurant, Shan was exceptional. I must praise his amazing memory—he practically remembered all our breakfast preferences every day and delivered them straight to our table. This personalized and warm touch made our entire group feel genuinely cared for. We are also immensely grateful to Shan for waiting for us to return late at night to ensure our room service meal was set up properly before leaving, allowing us to enjoy a lavish dinner even at a late hour. Finally, special thanks to Joana at the Executive Lounge. She was highly professional and always greeted us with a bright smile, offering professional recommendations whenever we inquired about local attractions. Having such outstanding employees will undoubtedly draw guests back and lead to strong word-of-mouth recommendations. As for the accommodation, the environment is super five-star quality. We stayed in a massive suite on the 4th floor, which featured three separate bedrooms and three independent bathrooms. For a multi-person family or group of friends, it was simply unbeatable—it provided privacy while offering ample facilities for everyone. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean every day with supplies replenished promptly, making the housekeeping faultless. (Comment from our kids: And there were welcome chocolates 🍫 and fresh fruits 🍉 too!) Our room included complimentary access to the Executive Lounge, which offered all-day snacks, breakfast, and noodle dishes along with light bites in the afternoon and evening—a perfect spot to rest after sight-seeing. As for the main breakfast venue, the food variety was extensive and delicious, featuring Western favorites alongside local noodles and delicacies. Even after staying for four days, we couldn't manage to try everything. Overall, the food delivered on both quality and quantity. It was an absolute pleasure staying at this hotel. I am confident that when I visit Sabah again in the future, Hilton will definitely be my top choice. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories for our group!

I had a wonderful experience staying at Hilton KK for both business & leisure. On the business side we were exceptionally well taken care of by Jamienson, the Senior Event Manager, and his dedicated team. They were incredibly accommodating, especially with our last minute requests & their professionalism which contributed greatly to the success of our event. On the leisure stay, Ben at the concierge was friendly & helpful. He recommended on places to visit and restaurants to explore, making our free time even more enjoyable. la demi pension offerte n etait pas enregistrée à l hotel. Il a fallu montrer la réservation Booking. La prise en charge de la demi pension a été restrictive pour la somme de 200 ringit pour 2 personnes alors que la reservation Booking ne le précisait pas La climatisation de l hotel dans la chambre et dans l espace restauration est trop froide

We had a lovely stay at the Hilton Kota Kinabalu last month. Ben and his team met us at the hotel entrance with smiles and offers of help. Ben also took the time to explain with the help of a map what we could do within walking distance of the hotel. All very useful and we got our bearings very quickly. The hotel is in centrally located, and whatever is not within walking distance, can be reached very easily by calling a taxi. Cost was always about RM5 (seemed the standard rate for the city centre) We found the hotel staff without exception - including the cleaning staff - to be polite, professional and so helpful. A very good hotel in the city centre .

The hospitality trademark of Hilton was truly displayed by the staff and mangers at the executive lounge. Encik Ezani, the operations manager was enthusiastic to assist to check us in as promptly as he could while we were waiting for the upgrade. He was always quick to respond to our needs. The floor manager, Mr. Thong was patiently to service us when we checked in at the lounge. He brought us drinks that we requested. Both Ezani and Thong have done a wonderful job and they both need to be promoted.

Had a great three night stay at the Hilton in Kota Kinabalu. It ticks all the boxes. Great room, staff and location etc. Staff in the Exec Lounge were particularly helpful but staff throughout the hotel were all fine. The gym was small but had decent equipment. Breakfast was fine in both the main restaurant and the Exec Lounge which were fortunate to have access to. All in all a lovely hotel and staff.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ben the Concierge & Shida our Guide Made Our Stay Unforgettable We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Kota Kinabalu, made even better by two exceptional people who went far beyond what we expected. Ben on the concierge desk was an absolute gem. He was responsive and helpful at every hour we needed him, including times we later learned were his days off — he still made sure our questions were answered and our plans were sorted. We even found out he continued to help guests while unwell, which speaks volumes about how much he cares. Ben was also a huge help finding and booking restaurants, always taking the time to sit and talk things through rather than rushing us. On one occasion he personally escorted us to the lounge and spent 45 minutes walking us through local sights and practical tips for exploring Kota Kinabalu and Sepilok. Shida was equally outstanding as our private driver and guide for a day trip to Kundasan and the surrounding areas — bookable directly through the hotel concierge, at the same price as a standard tour operator, but far more personal. We had a private, luxurious air-conditioned 4x4, and Shida made the whole day feel unrushed and tailored just to us. The trip was scheduled to end at 4:30pm, but she went out of her way to take us to find local teas, not wrapping up until 6pm — 2.5 hours beyond her finish time — without ever making us feel like an inconvenience. Between Ben's warmth and dedication and Shida's generosity with her time, this hotel gave us memories that went well beyond a typical stay. Huge thanks to both of them!

Heel propere aangename kamers met frisse lakens en handdoeken. Heel uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet - echt alles wat je wil! Vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel, zeker in het restaurant en de executive lounge. We hebben echt enorm genoten van ons verblijf en zouden zo weer terug komen!

The property looks spotless, new and modern. Staff are friendly, each of them greeting you when they see you. Rooms are functional. Location is perfect. I like the breakfast spread.

The pool is on the small side. And be good to enforce swimming attire for those swimming in the pool.

We stayed in the executive suite on the executive floor. Was lovely to receive a bowl of fruits and chocs upon arrival as a welcome. The exec lounge was very well managed and had a variety of options. Close to Imago shopping centre and the Gaya street markets .

The streets behind the property - probably due to the heat it wa weather unpleasant walking around that area to get to the local shops. After seeing the fish market, I decided to stay away from seafood for a while. The shop fronts looked ok, but the back areas were quite disgusting and the manner in which people were handling the seafood was 🤮

Stayed here for a conference which made the location very convenient. Despite arriving around 3pm, I had to wait in the executive lounge until almost 4pm for the room to be ready. This is frustrating when you are tired from flights. Thank you to the executive lounge staff who went out of their way to try to help me relax and have the room ready. They were also extremely helpful in moving me to a different room without an interconnecting door to a room with a very noisy family staying there. Club lounge had reasonable wine and cocktails, but they were a bit light on with the amount of food offerings during the evening happy hour. Thank you also to Wan at the concierge staff for his exceptionally polite and helpful manner.

no opportunity to enjoy the hotel facilities as I was busy attending the Freemasons Conference in the hotel.

F&B offering was horrible as this is not what is expected from a Hilton establishment. Food spread looked attractive, but the cooking standard is definitely not expected from a Hilton establishment? I called it below standard and this includes your Banquet food preparation standard. Apologies for being blunt as it is better to tell the truth.

Bra service, fantastiske rom og fasiliteter. Hotellet har en bra lokasjon og en veldig bra frokost. Kommer gjerne tilbake ved neste besøk i Kota Kinabalu.

The parking system..we stuck on the parking gate basement..calling the staff i think it manage by the Wilson Company..so not friendly kasar becakap..so i think its best when ur can improve soft skill when talking to the customer..

As mentioned before there wasn’t hot water for 3 days, and discussed them a several times. I believe the structure of water system in the building total failed. The technicians couldn’t fixed, just hot or cold and poor pressure. No refund or discount, the price as Malaysian standard was higher side. Not recommended.

Had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel atmosphere was great, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything made for a relaxing experience. The only suggestion for improvement would be to install a bidet in the bathroom. If there was a bidet, the stay would have been perfect. Overall, a very nice hotel and I would be happy to stay again.

The breakfast selection was good and I enjoyed it overall. However, I found the meat dishes, especially the fish and chicken to be a salty or overcooked. The lamb, on the other hand, was excellent and was the best meat dish I had during my week-long stay.

This must be the best, most varied, most extensive breakfast we've ever encountered on our travels. Not only that, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to an executive suite, which is not that different from the standard room. The room was spacious, well accomodated and very convenient. It took us a bit before we got the airco under control: set temp and give it time to adjust. the less you change, the better the results.

It is close to Tower Clock (walking distance) and also many sea food restaurant and convenient stores. It is near Jetty too (7min by car).There’s also cover for indoor drop off which is super helpful during rainy days. There’s also cover concierge service is excellent where they allow me to keep my stuff with them even that day I have checked out. The lobby is super cosy and nice to relax with great music background played. Staffs are smiling and approachable!

메리어트 있다가 힐튼 숙박했습니다. 조식 비교가 안될 정도로 힐튼이 낫구요. 수영장 등 부대시설또한 힐튼이 낫습니다. 메리어트는 인피니티 풀과 바다가 앞이라는 위치 때문에 선택했는데 다시 코타키나발루를 간다면 힐튼에서 머무르고 싶어요.

No response from hotel on booking.com to change my date and charge me RM 120 cheaper, as I booked the wrong peak period, and changed to low peak period, hence entitled to a cheaper rate. But Hilton doesn't respond for 2 weeks, as if purposely don't want to charge me a cheaper rate. Very bad booking experience. I will uninstall booking.com.
