Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The entrance is up a flight of steps, area is spotless. Small reception area open 24/7. Amazing, friendly staff. Fast check-in with excellent English. We had 2 rooms on the 5th floor. Small lift, so 2 at a time with bags, but fast for an older building. Room decent size with ensuite, one had a better view than the other. Decor dated, but the room and ensuite were spotless, scrubbed clean spotless, very impressive for an older building. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room lovely and warm. Wardrobe with hangers, desk with chairs. Hair dryer available from reception for free. Excellent free Wifi. Our rooms were checked everyday, new towels, bed made, basic toiletries replaced and rubbish removed. Basic toiletries were soap, packets of body wash and shampoo, but we brought our own. We saw the reviews of the hotel, and feel only people who travel and understand what to expect can truly appreciate this little gem. We did not avail of breakfast. Location is perfect for visiting all of Paris. Metro across the street. Day tickets for €12 unlimited travel, but you have to buy a card to put it on for €2, which lasts 10 years. We used the metro to visit the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, Euro Disney. Train was fast. No issues with pick pockets. Excellent hotel, we were out all day, just showered and slept there, so was perfect for sightseeing. Price and location was excellent. McDonalds, Subway and large grocery shop beside hotel. Plenty of restaurants in the area. We had no issue with noise in our rooms. Thank you to all the staff in the hotel. We had a very positive experience here. Emma & family, Ireland :)
Close to metro, it is above a McDonalds. Unfriendly, rude women at the reception. The room was dirty, bathroom window did not close. Only the sheets and the towels were clean. TV did not work, WiFi not working, and when I asked about it, the woman got very defensive, it was the fault of my mobile, she denied that WiFi was not secure. I asked to cancel and get a refund, that was flatly refused. I slept there one night. Paid for 3 nights but found another place. Left some clothing I hand washed to dry. When I returned a day later, my clothing was gone! This led to an argument with the woman at the reception. Finally did get my clothing back. They had wanted to rent the room out again. Unscrupulous management.
Great location, opposite metro station where you can visit the whole Paris ,the area is very live and friendly. The stuff is very friendly, the room is nice clean and the bed is perfect, some noise from outside but no particular problems. Would definitely stay again, very good reasonable price the accommodation cost.
Staff were all polite and friendly, the rooms decor was a little dated but thats not much of a worry. The bathroom had a great shower and plenty of space. The street outside can be a little noisy at night, but apart from that i cant complain. Would come again.
Bad Neighborhood
It’s older, but renovated and comfortable enough. Very close to the train station which made it easy to get wherever we needed to go. Would book again.
No complaints. I had an excellent night’s sleep and would stay again. The decor was soothing and full of individuality.
I happened to be in Paris at what felt to be the most expensive time where hotels I normally stay at, costed 2x or more. It was absolutely ridiculous to find a room at a reasonable price, so I stayed here just to be in the city area. Location: It's conveniently located by a couple train stations and there is lots of good food options near by. This was part of the reason I chose this hotel. Facility: It's definitely old and feels it. You can tell from pictures from others what the rooms are like but they're very small. Unfortunate for me, there was a heat wave in Paris and there is no air condition so I had to leave the windows open, However, this is in a pretty noisy area, so sleeping was not great. Needless to say, I won't be staying here again.
We stayed n this hotel for one night on return from Disneyland Paris before catching a train to Italy - it is older but very clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I wanted a close to transport inexpensive place to stay for a night and this place was perfect for that. McDonald’s is right next door and there is a carrefour(small grocery Store) across the street so we could grab what we needed and get to bed.
unique property, excellent location right near the metro station so easy access to any points. lots of bars and restaurants near the hotel. only quite a bit of noise due to the metro BUT not a problem as we slept through fine. hotel staff kind and friendly. you do need to hand your key in anytime you leave so bare that in mind. overall 9/10 stay!
A budget hotel in a not-so-great location, but close to the metro! There’s a McDonald’s right next to the hotel, which you can count on for meals. Breakfast at the hotel must be reserved separately. The rooms are old and the building isn’t exactly high quality, but the staff are kind and do their best to help you. Especially one woman — I’m not sure if her name was Carla or not — she was really kind.
The bathroom was not really clean The wall and ceiling have molding
I stayed in this hotel 5 nights last October, i just needed a place to crash while taking care of business and i did enjoy the stay at this hotel, rooms were priced just right, a metro station just a across the street will take me to the downtown center of Paris in just a few minutes, and other metro stations are close by, staff was helpful and friendly, rooms and shower were cleaned every day, got clean towels everyday, when you leave the premises you need to leave the keys at the front desk and pick them up when you going back to your room, i had no problem with that at all, i think it was Safer to leave the keys at the front desk, i will try to book my stay at this place next time i go to Paris. if you want a hotel that is up to date and close to all the tourist spots amenities you are going to pay way more money, but if you are traveling on a budget this is the right place.
Hotel is very close to a Metro station making it very accessible for transportation. The staff are nice. The room is dated and the heater barely works.
Very cheap
If you traveling for a day It was fine We stayed for 2 nites The trouble we had is that we suit cases and their ground floor was up another floor and we have to carry our suit cases up in a stairs. The front of the hotel is deceiving It shows only a front door and they way the presented it on the website was nice
The noise from the street made it hard for me to get much sleep, even with a 5th floor room. That was too bad, as otherwise, the hotel was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the included breakfast was fine, the location so close to a metro was great, the bathroom was fine, and the price was good. The elevator was temperamental, but it was better than no elevator. Note that the reception desk and elevator are on the second floor, so there are still steps that are unavoidable.
I stayed for four nights. It was really close to a major metro line, making it very easy to explore the rest of Paris. The rooms were based on keys so every time I entered an exited the hotel I simply left my key at the front desk and picked it up, and they checked my name every time so I wasn’t worried about someone else coming into my room. However, it was a smaller, potentially older building in the middle of the city and being so close to the metro line it was very loud, the walls were really thin too, so I could very clearly hear everything that was happening anytime my neighbors would enter or exit their rooms throughout the day. I also wish that there had been a do not disturb sign there was none available and there was a day where one of the cleaning ladies walked in on me because I happened to be there in the middle of the afternoon.
This place is disgusting. It’s dirty, smells terrible, the paint on the walls is peeling. The elevator is tiny. My husband and I got there at 9:00 P.M and were very concerned about the hotel and the people lingering on the street but checked in and went to the room nonetheless. The bed was slightly bigger than a twin bed. There was no shade in window; we could see and hear everything on the street. Nothing looked clean and it smelled bad. I didn’t want to sit on that bed and much less sleep in it. We ended up booking another hotel for the three nights we were in Paris and left immediately. Don’t waste your money booking this hotel.
15/20 mins walk from Gare du Nord, ok room with heating and good shower although no view. Nice breakfast the next morning and directly opposite the metro so did the job.
I don't understand the review that state this place is clean, the place is dirty and fill of bugs. homeless people will greet you camped on the street. The entrance has a long two-story stairway to the front desk. I was 5 hours early and had to pay for an extra day to get a room. The hotel has not been renovated for at least 100 years. The elevator is only for two people and doesn't feel safe. The room was facing the front and you could hear everything going on outside, drunken people yelling and sirens all the time. Right next to the hotel, there was construction going on after midnight a crew was using a jackhammer. I asked the front desk not to clean my room and one day I found the manager in my room, I told her I requested not to have my room cleaned and she replied I need to clean it and go away and come back in 10 minutes. This place does not respect your privacy, there is no inside latch or lock. they can open the door at will and I think this place is haunted as my wife and would hear someone knocking on the door and no one was there. worst vacation.
When the taxi left at the front door I wanted to leave, homeless people camped across the street. The entrance has a long two-story stairway to the front desk,(Not for older people). I was early and had to pay for an extra day to get a room. The hotel has not been renovated for at least 70 years. The elevator is only for two people and doesn't feel safe. I was given a room with a balcony to the front and you can hear everything going on outside, drunken people yelling and sirens every five minutes (I'm not kidding) there is a fire station across the street and they even use the siren even at 3 am when there aren't any cars on the road. Right next to the hotel there was construction going on after midnight a crew was using a jackhammer. Every day I asked the front desk not to clean my room and one day after eating breakfast I found the manager in my room, I told her I requested not to have my room cleaned and she replied I need to clean it come back in 10 minutes. This place does not respect your privacy, there is no inside latch or lock. they can open the door at will and I did not feel safe. every morning at 7:30am someone would knock on the door and no one was there when I answered. This hotel ruined an otherwise good week in Paris. Avoid this place!
The hotel is nice, but the lift (from the first floor, you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to reception) is small and may possibly be a bit scary for some. The Metro station is convenient but it's a bit noisy, so I'd recommend earplugs. The room is basic but fine as a base of holiday operations. Breakfast was half a baguette (butter and jam), a croissant, juice and tea/coffee. Filling but not a lot more. There is a microwave for residents to use in the dining room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Nothing fancy. Lots of eateries and a supermarket round the corner.
Friendly Staff, the vibe is nice and relaxing there!
Staff very good. Facilities and rooms old, but clean. Good value for budget traveler, but not for those with delicate sensibilities.
It was a decent stay. The hotel is just next to metro station and surrounded by many restaurants and groceries. It takes 35 min to eiffel tower via metro. The receptionist was very kind and kept our luggage after checkout. I would recommend this hotel as a budget friendly option. The rooms have attached bathroom. Do not expect anything fancy in the room. It has a very old vibes. However my purpose was just to sleep and use bathroom for which it was good.
I love my stay. Staff are super nice
It's OK for just a one-night stay. I didn't like the facilities nor the area where the hotel is situated (didn't feel safe). The only benefit is that it's right next to a metro station.
Basic room with private restroom including shower, just what I was expecting. Close to public transport and walkable distance to canal with lots of restaurants, slightly loud but to be expected being close to a busy street.
As basic as you get Clean Good service great service at breakfast
The location was noisy through the night. Very close to metro stop.
Very comfortable bed, good breakfast, very close to the Metro
The view from our balcony on the 6th floor was outstanding we could see the Eiffel Tower and Sacre- Couer Basilica was great!! The building was an older one so if you are there for the room this place isn't for you! Continental breakfast was good and included in the room price.
This is an excellent value proposition, staff very good. Immediately across from the metro so some noise. All in all I would return.
I really enjoyed this hotel. Right across from the Metro. Friendly staff. Good Continental breakfast. Bathroom light did not work. We did enjoy our stay.
Building was old and room very old. It was really a basic hotel with no frills. Hotels in Paris are expensive so you really get what you pay for. The wifi was horrible. You can only log onto one device. Breakfast for 6 Euros not worth it, you are better off eating out. The bathroom was the worst with horrible tiles and black caulking, looked like dirt to me. The surrounding area is not the best, dirty and lots of questionable characters in the night but loads of stores and eating places. It's also next to the metro so a plus. However, the noise from the trains and police cars was very loud and at times off putting since I had to open the windows as there is no A/C. Overall if you are looking for a basic hotel to just lay your head and keep your belongings, which was my goal as I was out all day, then not a bad place. This is not a place I would like to stay at again though due to the area and hotel condition when next I visit Paris.
A lot of homeless people laying on the floor near the train station, very smelly and dirty, just a few feet from the hotel, No AC, NO PARKING.
A great experience Staff extremely helpful and pleasant Close to the metro Easy access
Arrived at night by metro. Not the safest neighborhood at night. Very loud from the room. Room facilities were below par. Not for families or couples- probably a good place for single guys. The front desk staff was very friendly and excellent. No complaints there. The hotel is just in terrible condition and the location leaves much to be desired.
Excellent staff and service. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and patient with us. Hotel looks a bit rough on the outside but is nice inside. The small elevator is fun to take. Breakfast is a baguette and a croissant, both delicious.
It was a good stay for couple days in Paris.
Room are very hot. No Ac! So you have to open the window but bring earplugs.
It's essentially a bed and breakfast, conveniently located opposite the metro. You're in central Paris in 20 min. There's also 24 hr reception for security.
It was nice hotel, close to everything ( transportation, shopping, tourist area). The people in reception they were very helpful.
Good value. Baguette AND a croissant at breakfast.
Property is extremely run down and basically falling apart in a very noisy area, we booked for 2 nights but left after only 1.
The hotel is in the middle of the city (not directly in the middle, but amidst the city), thus there is a lot of noise from the streets. But other than that, it's conveniently located, clean, safe and super close to the Metro. Enjoyed my stay there.
Good
The staff were amazing. So helpful and a blessing to find folks knowledgeable about directions. You literally step off the train station curb and are at the hotel.
The staff were amazing. So helpful and a blessing to find folks knowledgeable about directions. You literally step off the train station curb and are at the hotel.
Paris hotel is expensive.
Book this property if you only have plan to sleep in night . Rooms are extremely small with super basic amenities. I had trouble sleeping as its located right infront of metro and you literally hear sound whole night as you have to open windows as it has no AC or fans . Location is great and you get food and people around until 2am
very basic room and hotel, in a neighbourhood that appears to be in a lower income area, but metro station literally steps away.
Great If you're single and seeking no frills. A place to sleep with a hot shower. Convenient to Metro.
the property is old but for the price you are in Paris and close to transportation the Metro is right there I would stay again very basic but the best water preasure for shower
The hotel staff is really helpful and polite. Even though it is not a new hotel, the housekeeping is good and the sheets and towels are clean. The hotel is close to 2 metro stations and so it is very convenient.
Location is right in front of the metro station. There’s McDonald’s and subway right outside.
Great location, clean and friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious. Excellent value. Good Wifi.
No internet working. One long pillow for the entire bed. Smallest room ever but it was all we needed!
The location was perfect
The walls were very thin and our neighbours were shouting until 5am. The cleaners then proceeded to wake us up at 10am and when we asked them to please be quiet, they proceeded to be even louder. All in all impossible to have any sleep and a quiet/pleasant stay.
This is a great hotel if you need a place to stay in Paris and are put off by the high prices. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I thought the road noise would be a lot worse, I hardly heard it. Being so close to the subway station was huge, there are 3 lines you can access which can take you anywhere in the city. One stop over accesses even more lines. There is plenty to eat around the hotel, and a nice minimart if you need sodas or water. Distance to downtown Paris was about 20-30 minutes, but for the price paid, it was worth it. The staff is friendly and most speak English well so the English speaking tourist will feel welcome here.
location was superb staff were very helpful and friendly bed was comfortable room was tidy
This hotel is a fair price, is safe and clean and 50 feet away from a Metro Station.
Felt very comfortable. Great location. Metro station across the street and grocery stores, boulangeries, restaurants, and more within a block walk. Radiator kept room warm in the winter ( didn’t notice an a/c ) breakfast was simple but filling. ( Took the half baguette with me to snack on during the day.) room was kept super clean. Even in February, I couldn’t resist sitting on the balcony with the amazing views of the city-especially the Basilica of Sacré Coeur. 21 steps to the check in desk, but a lift to the other floors. (Thank goodness or else 126 steps to my room). Summer would be a different experience with no a/c and the elevated metro across the street.
This hotel is in a great location (it has a reputation but it's fine) and the staff are lovely. It's a classic Parisien hotel: massive key, creaky lift, small room. It's all you need to explore the city, at least in the winter, when it's not unbearably hot. I didn't have the breakfast but it felt like a good price, lots of stuff to do in every direction.
Nice
Family bussinees nice and tide but very old, sheets and bed clean and comfortable, toilet had funguies on tiles
The staff was very cordial and professional. I wish the staff at all the hotels were that amicable.
Very nice staff, good location, good breakfast
friendly and courteous staff
조식 무료 제공! 아기자기한 호텔. 파리에서 물가 치고 괜찮음. 지하철 역이 바로 앞이라 편함.
Great access to Paris Metro (right out the front door). The resident manager is wonderful, very friendly and helpful.
It was in good location close to everywhere.
Please note this property doesnt have air conditioning in the rooms! When booking this hotel I didnt realise this (despite using the filters specifically for air con hotels) and it was impossible to sleep in the 30 - 40 degree celsius weather. Especially since it was such a compact room. It was also incredibly loud due to the station being right outside, and due to being next to one of the main roads. We heard ambulances at all hours of the night making it really difficult to get any sleep. The staff seemed friendly enough, despite speaking limited english, and gave us extra towels when we asked for them with no issue. We did therefore feel bad about having to leave. However we just couldnt stay there for 3 whole nights given all the issues - our sleep would be completely shot.
this is an old-style hotel, complete with the tiny elevator that groans (and works perfectly!), giant keys that you leave at the desk when you leave the hotel and a sun/dining room where you can have a continental breakfast or sit and enjoy the view of the bustling neighbourhood of La Villette. the room is very small with a single window, an adequate bathroom and it has enough storage space to hang/shelve your clothes. the towels are nice, the bed and linens are comfortable. the street is VERY noisy and there is no airconditioning, so if it is hot, it is VERY hot in the room if you don't open the window, and just hot if you do. there were no fans offered, but we didn't ask, either (and probably should have). some of the floors need some love--the paint is chipped and the carpet is old, although the 6th floor was nice.
Desk people are friendly and efficient.p
Great view over Paris from the room balcony. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
We had a great view fro the 7th floor of the Eifel tower and Sacracure.
Not terrible, you get what you paid for so it worked out perfectly fine! But the farther up you get the worse the wifi is, and at least for me I thought it was non smoking but man did everything smell like smoke.
Most gentle people who kept the frozen lobsters I had broight in their freezer.
1- No air conditioning 2- Room is abnormally tiny (Room 82) 3- Shampoo with shower gel in a sachet (provided only once) 4- Receptionist was rude and demeaning 5- Bed cover was shady 6- WiFi is actually a hot spot and very limited (WhatsApp calls don’t work) 7- Very noisy from nearby metro and fire brigade station 8- Breakfast is served by receptionist in a tray (Plain croissant, half plain baguettee, one small butter serving, one small apricot jam serving, one small juice and either tea or coffee) 9- Hidden tourist fee (€3.65) with no receipt given and I was asked to pay it again when checking out but I refused because I didn’t receive a receipt for my payment which was suspicious
This place was just as advertised. We especially appreciated the 24 hour desk, the thoughtfulness of the host, and the excellent breakfasts. I would definitely stay there again.
I visited because I entered the Paris Marathon and also wanted to visit historical sites. Their specific town Argenteuil was an ideal location because it was near the Olympic marathon course of 1924, which I wanted to visit, as well near where Monet painted the bridge. The staff was courteous, they had a hot water kettle in the room with which I could make coffee, they allowed me with a prorated rate to check out late, offered free of charge to check out on time and leave my stuff in the car, and even gave me a grace period when I had an Uber snafu getting back.
Very bad hotel the staff and owner very bad the cleaning very bad
Excelente localização. Metrô em frente e funcionários simpáticos
I didn't stay. I paid for.anorhwf.hofel. O am still waiting to hear what Travelocity can do for me. Didt stay one day there. Place looked like a crack house. I assumed Travelocity checked out the hotels. If Travelocity doesn't help me get a refund,.not only will I never use this service again, I will make sure to tell my friends and family and internet folks to me we use Travelocity.
Customer service is very good the staff was very good
Awful!!! Never even again 1star, rough area, Service Nil!!!
Our room was comfortable and clean, with a balcony and view to Sacre Coer and Tour Eiffel. Delighted. Next to Metro, so easy to get about. Nice pastry shop and places to eat and drink nearby. Breakfast is bread and croissant, fresh. I loved it, but others might want more choice. Very happy stay and recommend it highly.
Beside the metro station, clean and tidy, no choices for the breakfast
Very clean, simple room. Concierge was very friendly and spoke English well (helped us figure out metro, etc.). Relatively safe area with what looked like a couple good bars/restaurants. Best part was metro convience! Was a little far (30 min metro ride) to all the tourist sites but always really easy to get to. A great find and great stay for the price paid. Breakfast Inclused was a crossiant, baguette, orange juice, tea/coffee, great bonus and enough to sustain my always hungry husband till lunch!! Initially brushed off bc blurry photos, would recommend to anyone traveling to Paris on a budget!
Loved the balcony in our room and the great view, location was great for our adventures starting on the subway.
Central location next to metro. Busy traffic area with a lot of character. Small in size but quite comparable to most Paris hotels. Very helpful staff
I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. I also liked the location. I didn't like the smell of smoke in the halls.
Accessible to any point in the city but also noisy
Excellent customer service.Very helpfull and went out of his way to help us around Paris. Breakfast was nice and very quick service. Lift is a godsend as we were on floor 6. Rooms very basic but clean and tidy.Bedding was spotless. A bit of a journey to center but the guy wrote down the directions and train stops and where to change trains so we didnt have a problem finding everything.
The hotel is older and outdated. it is right next to a busy street and above-ground metro track, so it is very loud, especially if you have the window open (we had to because it was hot and we were on the 7th floor with no AC). While the room and noise weren’t great, the staff was awesome. They came to clean every day and offered us breakfast every morning. Staff is very friendly. Not a bad place on a budget if you don’t mind city noise.
Just to give a clear idea to future travel enthusiasts about the hotel. First if you are carrying heavy luggage you first have to drag it to reception. Then you can use a elevator that reminds of some horror movie. It really mentioned inside the elevator itself “Please don’t move during ascent or decent of the lift/elevator”. The nightmare continued after that as well. We were forced to stay in a room with beg bugs and mosquitoes. There is no fan or AC. If you open the window the room will be flooded with noises from the street. We asked the lady at the reception to provide as partial refund as we wanted to move to another clean accommodation next day. We booked the “non refundable” one but we are just expecting clean and safe room to stay. So we requested the same. The lady rudely said no. It felt like they are are doing us a favour by letting us stay there. The room looked shabby with a smallest washroom. There are no shower curtains. Basically the washroom is filled with water once you take bath. Also not sure why we needed to leave our keys everything we leave the property.
Busy Jaurès area and great for watching the city buzz. Sit by the canals in the evening. Great local hotel and easy to find next to McD's.
