Medindi Manor

Convenient location for airport and getting out to wine farms. Also not too far from The V&A Waterfront and other attractions. Breakfast was as excellent as I remember from previous stays.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Staff was very helpful and kind. Went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable.

Some body/handcream and tissues in the room will make it perfect.

Frühstück ist immer super! Freundlichkeit des Personals ist herausragend. Der Aufenthalt ist wie nach Hause kommen. Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls außergewöhnlich und die Nähe zu den Highlights, der Innenstadt und zum Flughafen.

Location in Mowbray isn’t great. The local restaurants and amenities are very poor. It is convenient for the airport. The rooms are a little tired, needing some updating to justify a 4 star rating.

The room was comfortable with a very nice cooked breakfast. The reception staff were very good. The house has beautiful gardens which are very peaceful and a joy to sit in.

The breakfast room staff were not always around. On our first morning we had to ask another guest how things were done as there were no staff around.

Very nice vegetarian options and very accommodating about different needs (re when I wanted it and even one day allowing me to have it take away(.

Well, when I booked, I didn’t include breakfast, but the owner called me and told me that for the price I paid, they would cater for my breakfast. That was pretty awesome.

Medindi's location was perfect for us to get to the University, but because of its proximity to the highway, it was easy to get to the airport and to town. Perhaps the most outstanding feature are the staff - everybody was caring and helpful.

Medindi Manor is a characterful old house in the Rondesbosch area, with big spacious rooms with high ceilings. Very comfortable bed, very attentive staff. Great breakfast, and super service from the house team.

The property is close to freeways in a safe neighborhood. Beautiful peaceful garden with plenty of birds and a lovely pool.

Doors to outside room don’t lock easily

Everything is beautiful and well kept and also the employees are doing a great job by making sure you feel good and have everything what you need. Beautiful breakfast. And service after checkout/ before check in time.

What I didn’t like is that if you have a child, you’re not allowed to stay in the main building. They put you away from the main building, in the back zone. Rooms are nice, but they don’t compare with the beauty of the manor rooms wich actually I wanted to experience. All the room in the back, as mine, they don’t have any bathtub…wich actually was one of the reasons when I booked a superior room.

There didn’t seem to be anybody else here. The pool looked dirty but we didn’t use it. Not many dining options in immediate vicinity.

1. The owner Kyle was hands on, flexible, friendly, helpful, in contact and very spontaneous in responding to his whatsApp. 2. His staff was friendly and helpful at all times, well groomed for the hospitality services they were rendering to make me a family at home. 3. Security gave me peace of mind and this place was safe and secure. 4. Meals were good and met dietary requirements and were served promptly. 5. I give them 100% and will recommend them and definitely 👌 make it home coming to Cape Town on business in future.

I went to Medindi Manor for the beautiful mansion, the beautiful room, the decor, the quiet and the peace. I got that and more. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and were very efficient and professional. The bed and bedding was so comfortable, and the room was spacious. I will definitely stay there again next year with my husband. Thank you.

Medindi Manor is amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, beautiful and comfortable. Also the breakfast is very good, you can have a cooked breakfast, fruits, yoghurt, scones, bread, cereals and a lot more! The house has a lovely garden and is located in a quiet and safe area. You can reach the city center of Cape Town with a taxi in 10 minutes. I can highly recommend Medindi Manor and should I return to Cape Town, I will surely stay there again!

A beautiful Victorian house sympathetically restored to its former glory. Our stay here was absolutely delightful. Room and bathroom very spacious. Breakfast of quality standard, more than enough choice, including cooked. Spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to book this place again.
