Angels View

We had such an awesome stay at Angels View and truly enjoyed every moment. The staff is well trained, knowledgeable, and the level of customer service was excellent throughout our stay. One staff member who really stood out for me was Dimpho, oh my goodness, what a breath of fresh air! She is incredibly relatable, professional and always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Her positive energy and attentiveness truly made our experience memorable. My husband and I will never forget the experience we had at Angels View. Thank you for the exceptional service and for making our stay so special. We look forward to visiting again in the future. Everyone was on point from the security guard, managers to the caddy wow blown away love the flexibility and how everyone would go the extra mile!

It was a Great experience; the area has beautiful facilities and amazing atmosphere. The view of the mountains is spectacular.

From the moment we drove onto the hotel grounds, the experience was nothing less than exceptional. We received top tier service from every staff member that we encountered, starting from the moment we arrived, all throughout our stay, and right up to our departure. A pleasant and memorable stay indeed! Will definitely be returning!

We arrived with the warmest welcome, their was construction on the hotel side however we were kindly upgraded complimentary to the earth grotto suite which was exceptionally to our satisfaction, customer excellence throughout the spa, bar, restaurant and reception

This is my second stay in this place. And unlucky I was very much disappointed by the level of service at this hotel: + - The hotel is beautifully located that basically the most valuable part. “-“ 1. I’ve experienced a very severe food poisoning during lunch which basically ruined my day and the next one. I have to say that hotel haven’t offered even a little compensation for loss of my time and health, which I’ve basically didn’t expect from shaky 4 star. 2. Since I had to stay another night (unplanned) due to health conditions I’ve changed to room to have a chance to experience what’s the other facilities hotel can offer. I’ve asked to bring my bag to the room once it will be ready. I didn’t happen, then I walked to reception and asked nicely. More that an hour passed a nothing has happened. The phone in the room does not have an option to call the reception, so I walked there myself and took my staff. Apparently staff were very nice with me, but the management of the hotel is very poor and deserves 3 star maximum. I’m very much hope that owner of the place will take this review seriously and consider some changes in operation. I’m running a touring company and basically I was on a scouting visit, so unfortunately I cannot allow my guests to experience the same. Consider it as a complete loss of a future business chance. Angels View is the best hotel I have been to in Mpumalanga. The hotel itself is a destination on its own! Definitely loved it and will back again

Large well maintained room with everything you would expect from a quality hotel. Nice if small grounds. Food in restaurant was ok but breakfast a limit limited. Service in the restaurant in the evening was a little slow with staff busy talking to each other. Good for an overnight stop which we did but would not suggest staying longer

Our recent stay was truly exceptional. The hotel surpassed all of our expectations, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. The staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness and attentiveness, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The service was outstanding, with every team member going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. Furthermore, the culinary offerings were exquisite.

This is the most catastrophically dysfunctional hotel I have ever stayed in! No natural flow. Restaurants and bar disjointed and far away from rooms leading down long passages, flights of stairs and corridors. No expense has been spared, only to create an architectural abortion. Main restaurant cold characterless and unwelcoming. Food however was good. Bedrooms are a design disaster although very clean and well equipped. It’s a property that will unfortunately never earn a return for the owner who has a large mural of himself on the wall in the dining room - I mean who does that 🤔

Nice, luxury hotel with spacious, cleen rooms. Qualtity of the food is high level. Looking at accommodation in Graskop I do not think there is a better place. The beds are good and the linnen quality is very nice. The hotel is located outside of Graskop and if one does not have a car, it is difficult to get to the village center for a nice beer/drink or something else.

The location of the hotel is incredible. Our earth grotto was spacious, well-furnished, well-maintained, and clean. There was even a heated blanket in the bed! The food and service were excellent, and the spa treatment was pure relaxation. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We would love to come back – we were really able to unwind for a few days!

Like always an incredible stay. Angelsview is like going home. Where staff become more like family and you rejuvenated every visit

Beautifully appointed hotel with a modern look and feel inside and wonderfully spacious rooms. Friendly and attentive staff. Great showers! A bit soulless in its modernity but this could have been due to the fact that we were there in low season and with only a handful of guests rattling around the large space.

The overall experience was good. We did not have warm water to shower Sat evening. (Did phone reception). We booked the spa, the treatments were good but I was very cold during the treatment. The breakfast was lovely, but the Dinner was not exceptional. We ordered something else every evening, but is was not a Wow for such a Top Hotel. The interior was Beautiful. The room was lovely. The Barman was Great during the rugby game, we really enjoyed him. Service was very good.

The view from the hotel is amazing. The hotel was clean and tidy. Our room was on the ground floor, which was freezing. They had electric blankets on the beds, and these were needed. Overall, the look of the rooms was fine, but workmanship was not good. We had to wait over an hour for a very simple lunch. My foot massage and pedicure was very average. Location of the hotel is not very close to activities.

This hotel is truly something special! Nestled in nature, Angels View offers stunning views and absolute peace and quiet. 🌿🍃 From my luxurious Earth Grotto Suite, I witnessed one of the most breathtaking sunrises of our trip – right from my window. 🌅🪟 We used this stop as a relaxing break along our busy travel route while exploring the Panorama Route, making scenic stops throughout the day. 🛣️📸 During our stay, I treated myself to a massage and manicure at the hotel’s wellness area – and the service was top-notch. 💆💅 Truly relaxing and well worth it! Both dinner and breakfast were excellently prepared and absolutely delicious. 🍽️😋 And as a cherry on top: the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. 🤝😊

Good location, great staff. The hotel has ambitions to be outstanding but many very small details in the facilities and presentation let it down a little.

Suite's bathroom smelled bad. I think it was the toilet valve. That's not something you would expect in a luxury hotel. In addition to that, the ribeye I ate at the restaurant was horrible. The meat didn't taste good at all so I had to order an extra sauce to eat it.

The Angel’s view Hotel was exceptional. Nothing short of amazing. And the staff was exceptionally friendly, all thanks to Eric and Piletso.

Loved everything about this place, even though our drive was very long but it was worth it when we got there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They did their best to make my partner’s birthday special and the location and view is very beautiful

When you arrive the receptionist welcomes you so warmly and she is very informative. The beds were great and the restaurant served good food

I wanted to escape the city it was nothing short of amazing, it lived to its name Angels view. The views were to die for, the service was exceptional.

I had a comfortable stay and the location was great for my planned activities. Breakfast could be better and switched up so that you don't eat the same thing everyday. Dinner was average. Overall, clean room, great stay, beautiful ambiance... Thanks.

Friendly staff in a grand hotel with a great location. I did not give it five stars because trees in the gardens obscure some of the views and the dinner on the first night was disappointing

The Panorama Rooms as advertised had no such views , this was misleading to us since those rooms do not offer that specific view. That said, the self-catering room was beautiful and comfortable. However, the DSTV reception was quite poor, frequently breaking up every few minutes. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and we sincerely thank the staff at Angels View for their hospitality.

Would definitely recommend this place…everything about the place was perfect. The hospitality is definitely a 10/10.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, her birthday and valentines, the staff was creative and prepared the room beyond my expectations, it was truly amazing experience. The staff was friendly, room was well prepared food was delicious. Angels View is a place everyone must add to their bucket list.

Living life at the edge. The grotto suites have stunning views of the gorge. Staff service was impeccable.

This place do not have sole. The main building feels like hospital. Bar is not cosy, restaurant do not have views and its very nosy. Nothing was right for me in this place.

What a pleasant experience at Angels View. Looking forward to my next visit to this beautiful setting.

Very comfortable room, food, especially oxtail, very good and great dom pedros. Service very good and attentive/friendly staff. Not much to do/see in the hotel (gym under construction). Views are lovely and sitting by the pool very relaxing. Very nice bathrooms with bath. The corridors on the ground floor very cold and austere but the room does open out onto the balcony. Room and views lovely, but a bit pricy for accommodation. Good breakfast including in the price, and dinner prices were reasonable and great quality.

Renovated and stylish hotel, which by the way, seems a little bit like a conference hotel and not that persoal. The rooms, especially the suites, are very stylish and moderen, but also very bright as you cannot darken them perfectly. There are no international sockets and the bathroom is totally dark. You ll be unable to make up yourself. The quality of the breakfast is very good, the quality of the dinner only mediocre and the ambience of the room is too cold as its insidem without a view and because of the tiled floor very noisy. Unfortunately this area is often very foggy often we would not enjoy the view.

Everything is good except the Wifi didn’t work during our stay. Hopefully it could be fixed earlier.

It was great for a night on the Panorama Route with a great breakfast. It is all new and in some parts of the hotel renovations are still ongoing. Great for a one night stop!

Leider war unser zweiter Aufenthalt etwas enttäuschend. Die Bäder waren nicht gut gereinigt, das ganze Gelände ist eine Baustelle, die Chalets waren hiervon allerdings nicht direkt betroffen. Die Lage der Chalets ist sehr schön und das Personal sehr bemüht. Super Frühstück.

Great hospitality. The room was perfect with nice view. Make sure to arrive before 5pm. Dining was enjoyable. Also, the phone number and map referenced by hotels.com are incorrect. The location is on the south side of town and has a private entry shared by local airstrip.
