La salle de bain commune n'était pas propre, et il faisait extrêmement chaud dans la chambre avec peu d'aération

Pas de débarbouillettes (petites serviettes), seulement 2 serviettes moyennes pour 2 personnes. Pas de grille-pain.

teure Alternative - 1 Nacht: 1 Erwachsene Person plus 2 Kinder in einem Viererzimmer/Gemeinschaftsbad plus ein einfaches Nachtessen in der Unterkunft für über CHF 300.- ist sehr teuer für eine Alternative zu einem Hotel.

Bad surprise at arrival. Reception tried to extort CHF 85 extra for a 5 year old in a private room, that’s 4x the fee it would have cost with regular rates on their website. In the receptionist’s pov overcharging was ok because we had reserved on booking and not directly. The fee was not communicated in advance and they refused to cancel the stay, effectively extorting us. After a long trip the kids and me waited 1h in the lobby. We stood our ground until the receptionist realised their mistake and finally let us into the room. If they don’t want reservations from booking then they simply should not be on the platform. Bad experience.

Mitten in der Nacht (00.35 Uhr) kam ein weiterer Gast ins Zimmer, er brauchte etwa 1/2 Std., bis ein Weiterschlafen möglich war. Das ist aus meiner Sicht eindeutig zu spät zum Bezug eines Mehrbett-Schlafraumes.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Petit déjeuner agréable, carte de transports publics incluse dans le prix du lit, valable le jour de l’arrivée jusqu’au jour du départ, à demander avant d’arriver car l’auberge est a une demi heure en metro et bus du centre de Lausanne. Plage très plaisante sur le Léman, à 5 mn à pied. Prévoir un maillot de bain !
Pas de cuisine, seulement une bouilloire et un micro-onde. Ce serait pourtant utile, vu les tarifs très élevés du lit en dortoir et des restaurants en ville.

The rooms were very simple, as one might expect in a youth hostel.

Possibilité d’aller au port d’Ouchy à pied ou à vélo, en longeant le lac avec une belle vue, environ 3 km. (Remarque : j’ai pris une chambre seule avec douche privé).

De algemene ruimte was erg luidruchtig, met name savonds toen er pool en tafelvoetbal gespeeld werd. De hygiëne van de wc's en douches kon nog wat beter

rather far from the centre, spider webs + hairs + dirt in the room, shared the dorm with an older asian women who prepared all of her food in the room, shared the room with a german lady who slept naked and complained when very little light was on at night when she wanted to sleep = very uncomfortable for me as a solo 22yr old :/ not enough showers + toilets if at full capacity

Es war sehr heiss in unserem Zimmer. Ich hatte in der Nacht maximal 3 Stunden geschlafen, da ich sogar mit offenem Fenster in der Nacht und ständig laufendem Venitlator geschwitzt habe als wäre ich in der prallen Sonne. Ich war am nächsten Tag dadurch sehr erschöpft.

La propreté des lieux communs laisse à désirer. De même, il fait parriculièrement chaud dans les chambres, malgré les tentatives d'aération.
