Great location. It was comfy and the staff were friendly.

The bedroom door was very difficult to open from the inside as there was no handle and it was a heavy door. Some of our group struggled with it.

La struttura è trascurata, soffitto della camera in alcuni punti sfogliato, bagno perdeva acqua dal wc. La Receptionist apre tardi al mattino e alla sera alle 22 è già chiusa.

It was clean

There was no hot water I had two cold showers during my stay no one cared it was really poor the guy who was on reception couldn’t have cared less if he tried I had to shower for work it certainly wakes you up - there is no hair dryer either just so you know - there are better places in Plymouth

For us it was too far away for a place to go for breakfast ( but we are oldies!) We thought breakfast was included. It did say that on our booking.com details; and on the board outside it said breakfast. Needs revising! Didn't like the fire alarm going off late one evening and having to wait 15 mins in cold for staff to arrive.

Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful and took time with the customers. Nice location close to town and the Hoe

The room I had was tired and I didn't find it comfortable. Curtains were hanging off, and the hook on the back of the bathroom door was broken. There were dirty bits and the skinniest of pillows. A bad sleep

Paul was a good lad and made every effort to put things right.

As per the advert there was no chef so no breakfast, the bar was not as described, six bottles of spirits and a few bottles in the fridge. Only one person to look after over 40 rooms. The TV did not work. Now the best. The aged wooden bed collapsed. A leg fell off when I was getting out of bed. I drew this to the attention of Paul, he was great and said he would sort something out, I left for the day and on my return they had replaced the leg with an old five llter PAINT TIN to prop the bed up.. Yes, the truth and I have the pictures to prove it. I could go on.

Vriendelijk personeel, behulpzaam ook en neemt ook de tijd en goed zichtbaar tijdens openingstijden. Hotel voelt veilig aan, zeer dichtbij en op prima loopafstand van veel attracties en het centrum. Goede kwaliteit van de kamer zelf.

Er was geen kok dus geen ontbijtmogelijkheid.

Shower was extremely stained.. not dirty but very old and needed to replace cubicle. Hot water to the room was tepid even after letting water run for 10 mins which isn’t ok in a drought. Couldn’t shower and wash hair properly so just a quick rinse. Fortunately only one night stay. Also informed on arrival no breakfast available as no chef so would arrange a refund with booking.com This meant finding breakfast elsewhere which we did easily but prior notice would be appreciated.

No soap in the room at all.. when we asked reception we were told they’d run out and we could go to the shop at the end of the road! Booked with breakfast but told a couple of weeks before there wouldn’t be any. We were refunded for this though.

room was terrible, covered in dust, not clean, with an old fan with rust, had not been tested for three years which made it a considerable safety issue. Creaky floorboards, I would stay away from this hotel like the plague.

Room way too hot. No housekeeping came to clean the room, so had to ask for fresh towels.

All in all a nice hotel. The bed was comfy, the location was perfect and staff were polite.

There was a desk fan but the room was boiling, the tap and shower had no pressure ( we didn’t bother using after we’d turned the shower on and saw the water trickle out….. very disappointed by this), the bar had very limited drinks and no snacks,

Location was excellent for both The Hoe and The Barbican. So close to the Lido and views of the coastline. The staff on reception were exceptional.

The bed was on a tilt so not very comfortable and the hotel was noisy all night with guests moving around and talking. Walls are so thin you hear every floorboard creak. Very little sleep.

The hotel is well located on top of the Hoe only one block back from the front. The car park was really useful but is often full.

The door to the passage did not fit well and let in the light. The pillow was small and hard. Otherwise it was all good.

The hotel was in an ideal location for my needs and the staff were both friendly and very helpful. The check in was very easy and simple and i was given a change of rooms from the forth to second floor after a discussion about access only being via stairs. I was also able to park my car which was an absolute bonus as daily parking on the street is £19.50.

I hadn’t realised that there was no lift as at this moment I have mobility issues and could not have easily managed to get to the room offered on the forth floor. In the bathroom there was only a small bar of soap and no shampoo, there was a small bottle of hair conditioner which was no good for a man with very sharp hair. I think these days an automatic dispenser over the shower should be provided.

I thought the room was overpriced and even though it was clean, the room was tried and well worn in need of refurbishment. £135 per night for one person in a double room to a poor standard was expensive to say the least.

I visited twice before.hotel is in good location,staff are friendly and courteous will definitely be returning again.

Lack of any kind of breakfast, very disappointing as it was offered in my booing at an extra cost and the sign outside clearly says cooked breakfast. Reception staff said no breakfast has ever been offered. Not good.

Room very comfortable however shower took a long time to become hot.

I have stayed many times over a period of fifteen years and was horrified to find they no longer offer breakfast.

The walls are on the thinner side, so noise isolation could be an issue for light sleepers. Also, there’s no air conditioning—during a summer heatwave, keeping the room cool was definitely a challenge, so keep that in mind when booking for warmer months.

Le siège des wc était en plastique et bougeait. J'ai dormi avec mes bouchons d'oreille donc je ne peux pas trop informer sur le bruit, mais le matin ça faisait un petit boucan quand le voisin prenait sa douche. L'établissement n'est pas récent.

Good location for going into Plymouth City centre. Lady on the front desk with the strawberry blonde bob (sorry can't remember your name) was lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Parking was easy. Room was clean and had extra pillows. Beds were comfy.

Not a major criticism but would have been handy to have a mirror in the room either than the little bathroom mirror but to be honest if thats my only complaint then thats not bad at all.

It is very close to the town , the theatre and also the Hoe . Perfect location for us.

The website advertises a breakfast . On checking further I read that I would have to pay an additional £6 for breakfast which I still would have been happy to do . However when we got there and I enquired about booking breakfast for the next morning I was told that the hotel doesnt do breakfast ! They should really update their website and make that clear .

I had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. The location was excellent, with easy access to the main attractions and public transport. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

My fourth stay at the Grosvenor, always an enjoyable experience. Whereas breakfast was not included, we were notified of this before my visit and the Receptionist recommended a cafe which was superb ! Will definitely return.

Bed was uncomfortable and dipped. Room was very hot, (was a heatwave at the time) fan was on when we arrived, but curtains open with sun shining in. Very disappointed no breakfast served anymore. Was great when we last stayed at hotel.

Er is helemaal geen ontbijt ( sinds januari dit jaar) iets waarvoor wij wel hebben betaald en ook op de site van Booking staat aangegeven, evenals op het bord buiten het hotel. Ook is er helemaal geen parkeervergunning te krijgen, gewoon £20 met muntjes aftikken.

Great location, sited just off the Hoe. I was transferring from another accommodation to here and they allowed me to deposit my luggage early in the morning and collect key so I could go out for the day and not have to hang around until official check in time in the afternoon. The room was basic looking, bit outdated with things like locks, plumbing, lighting and furniture. Shame really as has potential. However, it was ok. Was nice to have en suite shower and toilet unlike previous accommodation. Towels were nice and toiletries given. Has a bar in reception. Staff was very nice and helpful.

We had an excellent stay at The Grosvenor Plymouth Hotel. I had requested an early check-in, and although there was a small £10 charge, the staff had our room ready within half an hour of the previous guests checking out. It was well worth it, especially as I was travelling with my 7-year-old son. The room was clean, comfortable, and had good WiFi and a fan, which was appreciated. The bathroom was spotless, and the hotel also offers free parking, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly. The location is excellent, with easy access to Plymouth Hoe and the city centre. We also found the dining room very useful, as it had a microwave, fridge, and cutlery, allowing us to heat up our own food. Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and family-friendly stay. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room needed a bit extra in cleaning, behind the beds and under the tables for example. Mattresses need changing or adding mattress covers as you can feel the springs. The bathroom needs a bit of tlc.

Team on Reception were professional and friendly. Room was pretty basic but clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for local attractions and facilities.

Nothing of significance but a bath towel would have been good … I’m sure if id asked I’d have been provided with one !

Staff were very helpful. I left behind my phone charger and they contacted me and returned it to me, very happy with this service.

Only thing I would have liked improved was the TV channel reception.

The hotel was perfectly situated near the Hoe. It was a nice building with a lot of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but it was fine. It had a nice shower, tea and coffee facilities and the biscuits were a nice touch.

There wasn't a lot of room whilst walking past the bed to the wardrobe in the corner. You had to be careful not to whack your leg against the corner of the bed. The light bulb was not working in the bathroom for the first two days of my stay but was sorted by the third day. Also someone outside was banging the door continuously at around midnight to 1 am during the week, which kept me awake for a bit. Having said all this I would stay here again as its a good value hotel in a great location.

I did enjoy my stay, however, no breakfast facility, the room was tired, the sink had a large semi repaired crack, the shower try was badly worn, shower door didn't close properly, and the shower pipe leaked, doors in the room could do with a good scrub, that said, because of the location, and peaceful area, it was a sheer joy, the staff were lovely and helpful.

Breakfast cancelled. Shower didn't work well. Car parking was tricky as it was first in worst served and if you left even for a short time someone else could take the park and l9cal parking was fairly full.

The accommodation is very loud, so you can hear other guests coming and going and moving around the hotel throughout the night. I was woken 5 times during the night so it was very disruptive for a midweek stay. Overnight parking outside the hotel is £20.
