Good location. Clean modern room. Friendly staff

Coffee area needs better cleaning. Spiderweb and dead bugs on windows next to machine. I pointed it out to housekeeping but they never cleaned it whole week we were there

The location was good.

The bed was incredibly UNCOMFORTABLE. MATTRESS WORN OUT.

The property is pretty clean - sheets and towels were clean. Small motel room and relatively inexpensive. We were here for one night so not much to comment on for service.

It is far from the beach (not walking distance). Our plan was to take Ubers but Ubers and taxis are very very limited in the area. Something to keep in mind when booking.

Location is excellent for walking to no frills to get snacks, restaurant downstairs outside and walk to the Lake Hound for early breakfast.

Location is a bit away from the main drag which we liked. Room was clean and cool. Coffee maker and ice machine on the 1st floor was convenient.

Personal preference - our queen matrass was a bit soft, but I know many guest will like it.

The room is comfortable and clean for resting after long day. The shower door is leaking to the outside . The owner is also aware and was sorry about the situation. The staff is very accommodating, such with fresh towels.

Location and ease of entry and accommodations was amazing.

The toilet broke in the middle of the night and I had no way to contact staff. I messaged on here and they said to contact the front desk but no one mans the front desk in the middle of the night. There is also no phone number or action plan in the room to let me know who to contact in case of urgency.

Floor and room were clean when we arrived. Coffee machine had many options to choose from and the quality of coffee was good. Coffee cups were replenished every morning without asking or waiting. Air conditioning was in good condition and comfortable.

We stayed for two nights. Only the garbage can in the living room were emptied but not the one in the bathroom wasn’t. Just a single chair in the room! 🙁 There should have been two chairs for a two persons Queen bed room

this looks more like a motel than a hotel, the reception is just a counter, no staff most of the time, staff were not friendly or nice, did not even say good morning etc., the family running the hotel apparently lives there with kids around, .... overall not a hotel like feeling.

The main beach is only 13 minutes walk from the hotel. Parking is hard to find unless you get there early during the holiday season. Also, there is a Value Store next to the hotel if you forget toothpaste or hair products etc. The free Van Houtte coffe and Tea is a nice touch .

Shuttles to the beach for a small fee for guest would be nice .

Clean accommodation, comfortable beds! We have travelled from Vancouver, over all a good hotel, nice staff, a shoutout to a young man. Raj.He remembered us from last year and said we were in the same room, lol. He was very kind and took our bags up to our room .. (as we are getting on a bit ) like last year. Second time at the Amber, a very good hotel !

Would like to see instructions on how to use the Kurig Coffee machine. Maybe put a brief notice on the wall. I put a pod in, pressed the lid down, it made noises but it failed to make coffee, so I guess missed a step.

Very clean room and common areas. A free parking spot is available. We had a trailer and had no problem parking close to the hotel. Upgraded rooms with free wifi and fridge. The huge ice machine in the hallway was very helpful to keep our cooler cold while on the beach.

I liked that it’s close to the beach.

What I really didn’t like was that the reality was completely different from the pictures. The rooms were very small, and the seating area for الطعام or coffee was dirty and not well maintained. I opened the microwave and it looked like it had not been cleaned for years. Most importantly, there was a lot of noise after 2:00 AM. The staff did not respect the guests while they were sleeping. There was laughing and joking among the workers all night long, and we could not sleep because of the noise. Also, they force you to pay a security deposit even though the hotel does not contain anything valuable — just basic furniture and a bed. If I had to rate this hotel out of 10, I would give it only 1/10.

Location is great and free parking! Grocery store across the road which is helpful. 10mins to Grog’s and 4mins to Grand Bend’s Main St.

No elevator so you must be able to use the stairs. I was fine but this might not be okay for everyone.

Location was fine, just a short walk to the beach. We were not offered breakfast during our stay.

The bathrooms could’ve been a lot cleaner. The shower head either needs fixed or replaced. It does need staffed more at the desk. We waited over 15 minutes to be helped and fully checked in to our room for the night

The one male staff member was rude to us and forced us to checkout even though there were many rooms available and the surrounding area roads were closed due to poor weather conditions.

Price was good. Bed was comfortable. 4 pillows, large closet, no carpets. Nice forest view. Convenience store, pizza place, billiards and bar in one building. Staff were kind. Decorations for Christmas were up in the common area. Security cameras for safety.

Bathroom drywall damage near ceiling in shower. Windows are filthy. Chair was very cheap. Fridge is very small and not cold enough. Heat in room takes awhile to heat. Not accessible must use stairs. Stairway smelt like body odor.

Plenty of parking, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and responsive. The only issue was that i could hear nearby traffic coming from the highway.

This is a solid budget choice a short drive from the Pinery and Grand Bend. It’s no frills but it’s clean, inexpensive and comfortable. Staff are friendly, AC works, lots of towels, easy parking. Cheap and cheerful FTW!

cheap price for small room, probably smallest ever stayed. 2 major complaints, the pump soap bottle was so disgusting, we were ready to toss in garbage but didn't want to be charged for it. we used our own bar we brought. second, there was mold under toilet rim visible from bedroom and nmold around shower glass. general cleaning was ok.

Two flights of stairs. May be an issue for some. Rooms nice and clean other than shower floor. Bedroom floors not properly installed and had gaps. Please upgrade to a keurig coffee maker. More user-friendly and universal than a tassimo coffee maker. Or at least just a regular coffee maker. Dispenser of shampoo and conditioner in shower was a nice idea and cost effective for the owners. Need the ceiling fan to work in the bathroom. There was no switch for it and it didn't turn on with light switch. Was quoted a different price when checking in then what Expedia charged my card. Will wait and see if it was just the money exchange difference. Over all a decent place to stay.

We changed rooms because the first one was cramped and smelt badly like cigarettes in a non-smoking room. The front desk personnel did not hesitate to move us. The hotel is basic and nothing fancy, but it’s a less expensive option to stay in Grand Bend.

Hotel was good. A/C wasn’t working.

About 10-15 minute walk to main beach. We had Premium King room overlooking the unkept dumpster area. AC did not work. Hallway was hot. Every day some kind of bread was made and laid out on a sheet on the floor in the communal room, stinky and classless (hotel does NOT have food service so must be for family as we think they live in the building). Staff seemed uninterested in us as guests. Room has mini frig but it clicks all the time. Microwave and ice machine in communal room, if you can get around the drying bread stuff on floor. Room darkens well from sunrise though. Pizza place next door has very nice staff. Unfortunately we would not stay here again.

We had booked 3 nights, we were put into a room with black mold, not clean floors, blood stained blankets, asked to be moved into a clean room, got an upgraded room which was nice of them, except for that fact that that room also was disgusting and black mold filled. no dining room or kitchen; only a microwave in the living space outside your room. i would not recommend staying here if you want a clean room.

Signs at the check-in were patronizing and sarcastic regarding ringing the bell for service and for depositing your keys when checking out. The hand soap pump in the bathroom had been diluted with water. The air conditioning would not cool the room down so the room was way too hot. King bed was uncomfortable as were the pillows, and the sheets were very wrinkled and not crisp. There was mould around the shower and the location of the bathroom was not ideal as it was within two feet of the head of the bed. The window was dirty and overlooked an area where it looked like things no longer needed were thrown.

Stayed for two days. The common areas carpet was very dirty. It looks like the carpet was never cleaned. The room was not so clean as well.

It was honestly just a decent time my main concern was that it’s called a hotel but it was nothing like a hotel. It was OK like all we needed to really do is just leave our bags in there and sleep in it at night but definitely overpriced because it was still a 15 to 20 minute walk to get to the main strip. Also, there was a few things broken in the room, such as the window and the bed frame. Wouldn’t book it again but definitely recommend if it’s the last available place as it was just decent nothing special.

This hotel is very dirty. The hallway looks like a crime scene with stains absolutely everywhere. The rooms are very very small. To make it a 2-bedroom they just throw in a portable single bed. The bathroom was gross with hair on the walls and a disgusting soap dispenser. There wasn't even a shelf for your toiletries in the tiny tiny bathroom. The beds were very cheap and uncomfortable. No chair to sit and have coffee. Almost never anybody at the front desk and late check-in's aren't even an option. Everything about this hotel is cheap and dirty! We booked/paid two nights but left after the first night!

The room was very small, although it was quite clean, after spending the day at the beach, we came back to our room and their was an over powering smell of mold or something throughout the entire room.

Mattress was sunken in the middle, hard and creaked when you moved. Pillows lumpy. Bathroom was not very clean Fridge was dirty Cobwebs on walls.

Parking was very easy.
