Receptionist is extremely rude and not welcoming!

Absolutely fantastic friendly staff & such a friendly atmosphere along with fantastic service and delicious food and drink we'd such an enjoyable experience staying for our weekend break.

The only thing I'd like to say that's purely as constructive criticism is regarding the breakfast that you could have more than one option such as the porridge and a full breakfast not just one or the other & the breakfast was very good.

The room was nice except that it wasn't ready when we arrived at 5pm Bathroom was fine.

Breakfast was sufficient but choices of cereal and fruit were not offered.

It was so central to all in the town, also across the road was a public carpark. Which was very safe, if lucky you could park on the street. Pending on time on arrival.

We stayed here for 2 nights over our friends wedding, Denis was fantastic to deal with and although the showers did not work the first morning, they were fixed by early afternoon!

The room was lovely, clean and modern! The beds were comfy. The food for breakfast and the dinner in the bar were lovely! Staff were helpful and Denis was a great entertainer! The guesthouse is located in the centre of the town an ideal location!

The first morning there was no hot water from the showers but the minute we spoke to Denis about it he had it sorted quickly!

The curtains didn’t close fully in our room - people in the building across would be able to see into the room if they wanted to. We were given just one slice of toast with the full Irish breakfast.

This is a beautiful guest house with lovely decor. Check in is at the restaurant and is straight forward. Staff are extremely friendly! We were able to park close by. The accommodation is in a great location with shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. There was a great choice for breakfast which was freshly cooked and very tasty. I would recommend An Sugan Guesthouse

Great sense of style. Period building really central location easy access to the main part of the town. Lots of on street parking available locally. Very clean No shortage of plugs, including some upgrades with USB The young lady who looked after us for breakfast and seemed to also be on the rooms was really pleasant We only had breakfast and while the choice was limited, it was very well cooked very well presented but good ingredients

No water in the rooms certainly can be collected from the bar but no way to contact them. You would have to go out yourself. Bathrooms have been recently redone I felt but there were no hooks anywhere within any of the ensuite to hang up towels or anything else. Could have done with shelves to place toiletries The toilet brush was old and could have been replaced This was not a big issue, but there were no continental choices on the breakfast

More staff on the morning of Breakfast as there were a large group of us we thought 1 member of staff was not enough to cope with this and became under pressure

Staff taught breakfast alot had to be requested jams juices etc

Towels were never changed room was never cleaned ran out of toilet paper was nobody round to ask for more

Spotless clean modern furniture and decor. Beautiful restaurant below and a lovely breakfast central to Clonakilty town and accessible to everywhere. Food is fabulous and stuff are really nice and helpful and accommodating Geraldine.

A bit of noise from outside in the morning

All excellent from start to finish. Beautiful meal on that night. Breakfast really tasty. Staff so courteous throughout, especially Denny who is No 1

Great location high street near parking. Lovely staff, comfy beds a great base for a stay in Clonakilty. Good quality breakfast.

Unfortunately shower door very easily came off the rails/ already off and so was shower but may have been some level of user error

We found the staff not very welcoming, which compared to other places we stayed, was a shame. Parking was in the street.

Breakfast - top rate, could choose from a menu, and vary according to taste. The dining room and food was home cooked and delicious. Having the Sea Food restaurant as part of the same business was a delight, as were the staff who couldnt have been more friindly. We ate there every evening and the doors were often open in between so we didn't have to go outside to get from one to the other. Room - Very smartly decorated and ample room for movng around the twin beds. En suite Bathroom clean. Towels replaced as needed. All the staff were SO friendly.

Slight inconsistency in the room, in that not always enough milk for the ample supply of tea and coffee, but only had to ask for top ups. We found it unusual that the beds were not made for us, but maybe that is the Irish way. Very clean, and in a beautifully kept building. No noise from neighbouring rooms despite others staying.

Lovely location in the middle of town, pretty room in a lovely building, full of character, very comfortable bed and bedding, great shower, excellent breakfast. There's plenty of on street parking. Staff are chatty and lovely and the restaurant is always fabulous.

Bathroom could do with a surface to put your washbag on!

Breakfast was lovely. Staff were really accommodating. Location is excellent, just a few mins of a walk to the bars. We were staying for Day 2 of a wedding it was the perfect choice for everything we needed.

The shower took a while to heat up. Couldn't connect my phone to the TV to play music but otherwise nothing else.

Received too many emails dictating policies of checking times, booking breakfast, don’t ring/email only, emails only checked before 4pm etc.. Coffee machine but NO pods!!!!! ONE toilet roll!!! No blinds only decorative curtains on windows so very bright in room. Beds very soft and people walking around upstairs on noisy creaky floor boards!

breakfast was served in a lovely relaxed environment by the chef whom was a lovely friendly person & very attentive. I had the cooked breakfast that was cooked to perfection & served with their own fresh baked brown bread that was absolutely fabulous & a pot of fresh brewed coffee.

nothing..., an Sugan is a period property on a quiet street & centrally located in the town. The room was very comfortable with good facilities, exceptionally clean & very comfortable bedding that provided me with a good nights sleep. The staff were friendly at all times & I will stay here again when I am in the locality.

Beautifully decorated room in an historic house. Excellent breakfast, my mother particularly enjoyed the porridge with the dash of Irish Mist. I had the smoked salmon and poached eggs which was delicious. The location is perfect and parking was on the street just outside.

Our bedroom was small, bed small double. Basic facilities, bathroom velux window had a big gap breeze coming in could only close bathroom door from inside so it kept banging for night and freezing cold in bathroom wasting the heat that was in the room, the mirror was small and too high up in the bathroom . Breakfast in morning very basic either porridge or fry/poached eggs. Tea coffee or juice not both normally you would get choice of juice cereal and main course what we got was lovely just small tweeks would make it a lovely breakfast in a very quaint room with one big table. We had a gentleman from start to finish( meet and greet) he was very pleasant.

On our arrival to room 7 it was freezing staff said they would turn on heat we went for a walk and returned after an hour…room still freezing..again spoke to manager who said they would sort..we returned about 11pm room still cold but they’d put a plug in radiator in room which we had to leave on all night..next morning was to cold to have a shower..spoke to other guest who said there room was v warm so clearly there’s a problem with room 7…it ruined our evening…no staff around to speak to next morning…€130 with no breakfast not on for a freezing room.

The room was a bit cold,couldn't get the radiators functioning and there's a dangerous 2"+ step from the bedroom into the bathroom which could cause a serious trip.

Location was ideal. Very clean & spacious room. Staff in the bar were very friendly. Denis behind the bar is an amazing entertainer.

Really good location with free parking on the street right outside. The room was cosy and confortble and a good price for the area. We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and it was a really good meal, one of the best of our whole holiday. Check-in and Check-out was really smooth and seamless.

The arial for the TV in our room had come out and broken from the plug, so unfortunatly the whole unit didn't work. We were only there for one night and didn't notice until gone 11pm, so it was too late to have it fixed or to notify anyone, and I'm sure if we had then action may have been taken straight away - but it was a shame it hadn't been noticed before we arrived.

Very comfortable bed, linen and pillows! I slept very well! The room was clean and tidy!

The property was nice, a slightly larger rubbish bin would be appreciated in the room and possibly a small fridge.

only downside was breakfast at 20Euro and only 1 piece of toast, barely any butter or milk, and charged 3Euro for a small orange juice- just a small thing but very annoying.

Besitzerin/Personal!?? grüßte morgens noch nicht mal beim Reinkommen… haben wir noch nie in Irland erlebt. Keine Früchte und Müsli zum Frühstück - fettester black pudding und fetteste Wurst unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes in Irland
