Hotel zum Ritter St Georg - Oldest Residential Building in Heidelberg since 1592

Die Lage ist zentral und könnte nicht besser sein, die Geschichte des Hauses ist beeindruckend. Das Zimmer groß, hell und mit Blick auf die Heiliggeistkirche.

Das Frühstück war etwas chaotisch, da das Restaurant aktuell geschlossen ist sind die Abläufe etwas improvisiert. Wir mussten teilweise recht lange auf Brot/Brötchen, Butter und Kaffee warten. Nachdem wir gemeldet hatten, dass die im Zimmer vorhandene Toilettenbürste nicht nutzbar ist da der Griff abgebrochen war wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass dies bekannt sei, wir ja nur eine Nacht da seien und daher keine Lösung zur Verfügung stünde. Finde ich für ein Haus in dieser Klasse etwas unglücklich gelöst.

Gret location. its closing for major renovations next month so any issues we had will no doubt be addressed. Hopefully they retain the wonderful ambience of the main parts of the building.

Location was perfect. Right in the middle of the old town with everything walkable from the front door.

I appreciate it’s an old property and it was a lovely building but it’s in need of an upgrade and more attention to detail. The curtain was hanging off the rail and bathroom fittings were broken. While appeared clean on the surface, the carpets are badly stained and need replaced. For some reason the fridge in the room was locked so we couldn’t use it to keep water cool.

De locatie was fantastisch: midden in de Altstadt dus vrijwel alle highlights van de stad zijn makkelijk te voet bereikbaar. Het hotel ademt een zekere charme uit omwille van zijn historisch karakter. De kamers zijn ruim en elke dag krijgt men een nieuwe fles water op de kamer.

Je merkt dat er hier en daar wel wat sleet op het interieur zit. Er is geen airco op de kamer. Het ontbijtbuffet is ok maar niet bijzonder.

Het rijkelijk ontbijt. Propere kamers. Rustig. Vriendelijk personeel.

Met al de trapjes niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht te been zijn.

The property itself is beautiful. It is situated right on main street where all the restaurants, bars, and cafes are.

I am from Taiwan and proud of it. I don't understand why the staff asked me about the China stuff. Please repect all the people from Taiwan. We are totally different from China.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel im ältesten Gebäude von Heidelberg. Das Personal hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren super gemütlich und bequem. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt!

Wir waren rundum zufrieden und können keine negativen Punkte finden. Leider wird das Hotel einen neuen Pächter bekommen. Wir hoffen, dass dieses wundervolle Gebäude auch zukünftig in gute Hände kommt.

Das alte Gebäude und die Lage ist Spitzenmäßig. Das Frühstück war auch super.

Es ist zwar eins, wenn nicht sogar das älteste Gebäude in HD aber man könnte ja trotzdem ein paar Erneuerungen vornehmen. Ein Badewanne mit hohem Einstieg ist nun wirklich nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Desweiteren ging die kleine Lampe am Waschbecken im Bad nicht. Ebenfalls waren wir bissl entsetzt, das es hier als Zahnputzbecher nur Pappbecher gibt😔 also ein Glas wäre mir bedeutend lieber gewesen! Schade. Aber ansonsten war alles gut.

Es war sehr heiß in der Zeit. Der Ritter hat keine Klimaanlage. Aber das wußten wir vorher. Es gab einen Ventilator.

Ich bin bereits des Öfteren Gast in diesem wunderschönen Hotel gewesen und bin immer wieder sehr begeistert: -sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes und kompetentes Personal -TOP Lage im Herzen Heidelberg -saubere,große und funktionale Zimmer -bezaubernder, mittelalterliche Charme -ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen -leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück -WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei Diesmal bekamen wir sogar ein kostenloses Zimmer Upgrade. Ich sage "DANKE!!!!!" und komme immer wieder sehr gerne 👍☺️

Distance from the train station. Best to take public transportation instead of walking to hotel.

Keine Klimaanlage. Einfache Zimmer. Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Beautiful old building, our room looked over the square and great central location. We loved it here. was such a great stay and they have cold water in the kitchen you can fill your water bottles with if you ask.

It was 39 degrees during our stay and there is no aircon (typical in large parts of Europe) so it was pretty warm although the room was spacious and comfortable with lots of windows to open but not much in the way of breeze. During the heat wave the coldest water in the shower was luke warm so hard to cool off but most of the time this would not be something you would notice.

Extremely cool building, very comfy bed. Mainly very helpful staff. Great location!

From the outside it's a stunning historical building right in the middle of the city center. The staff is very nice.

The hotel on the inside looks dated. It needs renovation and upgrading. Our room was large, bed was fine, but no side tables. Shower dated. Carpet dated. I wish I could say differently, but not the best....

Der Lieferverkehr für die umliegenden Restaurants am Morgen. Aber das hängt mit der Innenstadtlage zusammen. Haben wir vorher gewusst.

Gorgeous building. Fabulous original historic detail. Very friendly and helpful staff. Right in the old town. Very comfortable night’s sleep. Quiet with the double glazing despite overlooking main square.

Booking .com said no parking but nearby there was a public car park. We had done a free park and ride instead before we discovered this. Hotel website gives better details.

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Das Hotel wird von den Stadtführern als Thema hervorgehoben. Von außen sehr sehr schön.

Innen ist sehr viel extrem in die Jahre gekommen. Nichts in Stand gehalten oder renoviert. Beim Badezimmer darf man nicht empfindlich sein . Sämtliche Fugen total verschimmelt.

No air conditioning. No air conditioning. The Wi-Fi didn't work for two days, and despite my repeated requests to have the Wi-Fi restored quickly due to work reasons, it wasn't possible to get it to work.

Location is very good. That's about it.

The hotel is in need of major updates as it relates to safety, lobby furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc. Also, no where were we able to find out that you need to park in a garage not very close to the hotel. This made it difficult to find the hotel.

Das Frühstück war gut, mehr geht natürlich immer. Die Zimmer im ersten Obergeschoß waren angenehm kühl (eine Hitzewelle sorgte für 35 Grad C im Schatten). Die zentrale Lage ist fantastisch. Obwohl in den Straßen ums Hotel bis spät in die Nacht voller Betrieb herrschte, haben die Fenster den Lärm sehr gut draussen gelassen.

Viel zu wenig Personal, das die die Arbeit gerade einmal schafft. Alle sind aber sehr bemüht! Die Rezeption ist selten besetzt aufgrund des Personalmangels.

We hadden een kamer op de derde verdieping. Hier was geen WIFI en de badkamer was zeer klein

Location was excellent. The double room size was great. Double panel windows to reduce noise.

Parking discount ticket did not work.

In unserem Zimmer war der Fernseher defekt, was wir erst am späten Abend festgestellt haben. Man bot uns daraufhin ein anderes Zimmer an. Da es aber bereits sehr spät war und wir nicht wieder alles einpacken wollten, hat man uns zur Entschädigung ein kostenloses Frühstück angeboten. Dieses war auch sehr gut.

It was a great location. The day we checked in the man at the front desk ( I think his name was Temu P) he was so helpful and told us the history of the hotel.

Staff were kind and it’s a perfect location

There were no curtains in the bedroom, no air con and no fan, everything was very dated.

The history and location were fantastic, but the staff really put this hotel above others, truly top notch service.

A lovely 16th-century building right in the center. Go left, right, or straight downhill and you will find everything. It is a bit ramshackle and is undergoing renovation. Little boys will love the full armor suits at the entrance and on my floor, probably theirs too. I thought the bed sagged, a double bed made out of two singles, both sagging, but the unsagging edges together at the middle were fine. The hot water took a while, but was hot. However, there was no shelf in the shower, which made it hard, if you wanted to use your own soap and shampoo, not theirs, and only have two hands. I enjoyed my stay and would come back. The last night, when I had to go to bed early for a train, I asked for a bottle of water. The concierge said the price was 7.5 euros (just under $10.). I wish that hadn’t happened. It put a gouging cloud over the place I liked staying at and even being patient with.

フロントの方が忙しすぎて手が回っていなかったように思います。一生懸命に対応してくださっている気持ちはわかりますが、案内も対応も不十分で残念でした。

It is a beautiful building and the customer service by staff was excellent.

fold out sofa I slept on was quite uncomfortable. While one doesn't expect perfection from a sleeper-sofa, there are better options available these days. It was hard to shower without water spilling out.

Prachtig oud pand met ruime kamers. Gelegen in het centrum van de oude stad.

De inrichting van de kamers is gedateerd en de kamer was op sommige plekken wat stoffig.
