Pool was a god send. Room absolutely lovely with massive bathroom. Would have maybe like a place to lie out in the sun but still amazing place. Great value

Location was in the medina and walking distance from supermarkets, souks and landmarks. Breakfast was very plentiful and delicious, and we always had enough food. Our room was on the top floor and was comfortably big with a sofa, ensuite and easy access to the sun terrace. The pool was very relaxing, always with clean fresh towels.

WiFi didn't work that well in our room. It frequently disconnected.

Das Riad war sehr sehr ruhig gelegen, direkt an den Souks. Man konnte zu Fuss durch die Souks und war in etwa 10 Minuten auf dem Jemaa el Fnaa. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Frühstück wird für jeden zubereitet und ist sehr gut.

Wir haben uns für das Zimmer oben auf der Terasse entschieden, weil wir sehr empfindlich sind auf Geräusche und ruhig schlafen wollten. Es war uns nicht bewusst, das über dem Zimmer ein kleiner Platz mit Sonnenliegen für alle zugänglich war. Aber wir hatten das Glück, dass nur einmal abends jemand auf der Dachterrasse war und nach ein paar Zigaretten wieder weg war. Sonst fände ich dies etwas schwierig, wenn man extra das ruhigste Zimmer empfohlen bekommt und sich dann Menschen bis spät nachts direkt vor dem Zimmer laut unterhalten. War bei uns aber nie der Fall.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié la sympathie et la serviabilité du gardien de nuit, qui s'occupe également du petit déjeuner. Il ajoute un "+" dans l'établissement et dans l'expérience de voyage.

L'eau chaude dans la douche de notre chambre était instable, peut-être à cause d'un mitigeur défectueux.

Der Aufenthalt war perfekt. Toll gestaltet, liebevoll eingerichtet und gepflegt. Schöne Pflanzen im Innenhof, wunderbare Dachterrasse. Kurze Wege zu Restaurants, Marktplatz oder Taxis. Frühstück war prima. Nettes Personal.

The Riad is beautiful- just like the photos. As a designer it fulfilled my riad dreams! It is a calm, cool oasis but very close to the all the shops of the souks and around 10 minutes walk through the souks to the main square. It is around 5 minutes walk from the closest road for a taxi. It is situated in a an area that is a bit "upmarket" with ice restaurants very closeby. The man who runs the riad is kind and welcoming.The breakfast was generous.

The shower head needs to be replaced and relocated to the centre of the shower wall. A top sheet and cotton blanket would be better for summer in Marrakech, rather than a doona. A doona was standard for all the hotels and riads we stayed in Morocco.

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und haben uns in allem unterstützt, das Riad selbst ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und die Lage ist sensationell.

Der einzige Wermutstropfen war, dass das WLAN nicht bis ins obere Zimmer gereicht hat.

Petit hic à l’arrivée car le personnel n’avait pas encore commencé la saison donc nous sommes venues seules du point de dépôt du taxi. Pas d’eau chaude non plus pendant 24h.

Sehr freundliches Personal und die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und haben uns noch wertvolle Tipps gegeben und wir möchten uns dafür noch recht herzlich bedanken und wir können dieses Riad nur weiterempfehlen und wenn wir noch mal kommen garantiert dieses Riad und nicht zu vergessen die wunderschöne Dach Terrasse.

Our stay at Riad Selouane was amazing from the communication via booking.com to our actual stay. It was very easy to book a hotel transfer and all our questions were answered in good time before our trip. Not only is the Riad even more beautiful in person, but the staff at the property were also very friendly and accommodating. Nouri the manager along with the night staff always made us feel right at home. The location is excellent. Very short walk to the taxi pick up point and to the souks. Very quiet even though it is located in the Medina. They even had a friendly cat called Bamboo, who put a smile on our faces every time we saw him. Great hot shower and a lovely breakfast made fresh every morning. It was a wonderful Riad and we would happily return.

The only issue we encountered was with the AC in our room. It was working fine when we got there but started leaking on the second day which happened to be a Sunday so could not be fixed till next day which isn’t the Riads fault. They did help us by providing towels to cover the leak so we could continue using the AC and it was fixed the next day. It did however start having issues again so only mentioning because it was temperamental but none the less we really enjoyed our stay and recommend to everyone to book

A stunning riad with a lovely large plunge pool and exceptional staff. Large beautifully decorated rooms with tall ceilings and the most incredible breakfast on the terrace. Located in a calmer areas of alleys and souks but within easy walking distance of everywhere. Couldn’t ask for any more, thank you for a wonderful stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at this riad. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The riad itself is stunning, with a lovely interior courtyard that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooftop terrace is fantastic and offers a great place to unwind. There is also a pool, which is perfect for cooling off on warm days. Overall, this is a beautiful riad with excellent service and a charming atmosphere. I would highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again.

Had everything you would want for a comfortable stay

We had such a great time at Dar Selouane. It is a very clean and peaceful riad, tucked away from the mesmerizing chaos of the old medina, yet just a few steps from many of the city's best spots. We had an amazing experience with Khalid. He was incredibly helpful with all our requests and provided outstanding service throughout our stay. Last but not least, Bamboo, the adorable cat! We already miss him.

The staff the building the beautiful room

Wunderschönes Riad, das 450 Jahre alt ist, großzügig und gepflegt angelegt, wunderschöne Tarrasse, sehr freundliches Personal (Nouri ist einmalig). Haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und auch bestens betreut. Toller, unkomplizierter und sehr freundlicher Kontakt mit der Besitzerin Svenja. Wir hatten die Honeymoon Suite ganz oben!!

Shower not very strong.

The Riad was very clean, rooms very spacious, the gentleman who received us was very soft spoken and efficient. Unfortunately we only got to sample breakfast as we stayed one night and it was very good compared to what we had experienced around Marakech.

De Riad is super goed gelegen, op wandelafstand van de meest toeristische locaties, dichtbij de pick-up locatie voor de taxi. Ondanks de drukte in de souks, stap je binnen in een oase van rust. De mensen zijn supervriendelijk.

Prachtige Riad midden in de Médina. De kamer is schoon, groot en luxe. Fijn verblijf gehad.

位置很好，在不眠广场但是又不吵，距离主干道不远，不需要弯弯绕绕。庭院和房间的装修都非常漂亮，房间很大，住起来很宽敞明亮。卫生也不错，没有可见的灰尘和污垢。早饭有仪式感，品种也足够丰富。各方面的服务也很周到。推荐入住！

The location was ideal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely Riad to stay in. It was very quiet once you were inside. You wouldn’t think that you were in the middle of a very busy medina. The breakfast on the terrace was also something we will miss when we go home.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

The riad itself was absolutely beautiful, with a stunning interior and a very peaceful atmosphere. The staff were kind and welcoming during check-in, and the breakfast was lovely. Overall, the space felt very charming and authentic.

The lack of accessible support late at night was difficult, especially because I became very sick before my early morning flight. There was no phone in the room despite concierge/service being advertised, so I had to repeatedly call reception from my personal phone at around 3 a.m. while struggling with my suitcase and trying to get assistance unlocking the door.

Die Organisation und der Aufenthalt hat von der An- bis zur Abreise hervorragend geklappt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und während des Aufenthalts betreut. Das Riad liegt zudem sehr zentral in der Medina und man ist nur ein paar Schritte von den Souks und Sehenswürdigkeiuten entfernt. Trotzdem sehr ruhig und die Dachterrasse bietet Gelegenheit zum Ausruhen und Geniessen.

Zeer fijne, prachtige riad aan de rand van de medina. Handig om met je koffers niet door de hele medina te hoeven lopen. Ontbijt was lekker en elke dag een beetje anders. Heel fijn dakterras om lekker te kunnen lezen of relaxen. Mooie kamers.

The pricing for a one night stay should be $30 less. I wouldn't stay for more than one night because of the price.

Everything was great.

This property is an oasis in the Medina. We had a fabulous 4 nights here. You can walk everywhere quite safely. There's so many restaurants to choose from and the shopping (souks) are amazing! The breakfasts were the best we had during our stay in Morocco. Nouri was a fabulous host. I'd recommend booking the airport transfer through the Riad, as the driver drops you off outside the Medina (no cars allowed inside) and Nouri meets you and walks you to the Riad (approx 5 mins). We booked a day trip to the Atlas Mountains and half day tour in Marrakesh. This is a great way to skip the lines if you want to visit the Jardin Majorelle and the Bahia Palace. 100% happy we booked this beautiful Riad.

Very good location at the start of the Souks. You are in the city so no need to cross any streets to walk around and visit anything. Good advice to go to the Hammam around the corner (La Rose). Nice rooms and nice breakfast

Sometimes communication with the staff is tricky as one person only speaks French and can come across very rude trying to communicate. The bathroom does not have any ventilation so it is very hard to get rid of the steam and it takes a while for it to go away. Communication is very strange as the people on booking messages are not the same ones as at the Riad. So you have to “catch” them while you are there to be able to communicate correctly.

Riad Selouane is based in a very nice area of Marrakech. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nouri gave us a quick tour of the place when we got there. He recommended places to visit and where to get a good coffee. He is a wonderful conversationalist and speaks multiple languages. We got dinner on our first night and it was a good introduction to Moroccan cuisine. Our room was beautiful and kept really clean by housekeeping every day. The bed was very comfortable. We slept so well! Breakfast is prepared with intention and you get to try different foods.

An oasis amongst the chaos of the city. So calm and peaceful. The roof top area was outstanding.

Wir wurden sehr nett am Rande der Medina empfangen und zum Riad geführt. Zur Begrüßung gab es marokkanisches Brot und Minztee. Zimmer sehr schön und komfortabel. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war super! Lage top, in der Medina, aber noch nicht ganz tief drinnen im Gewusel der Souks.

Zeer leuke Riad, op een hele goede locatie op loopafstand van allerlei bezienswaardigheden in de medina. Goed dakterras met bedjes, prima ontbijt.

Everything! Location is great, spotless rooms and riad it self, and the most importantly the hosts. Manager of the place and the rest of the staff was brilliant. Always helpful, kind and friendly! Definitely recommend!

If I have to add, there was a bit of humidity in the riad, but I also think it was the weather itself, but that definitely wasn’t the dealbreaker!

Excellent decor, very comfortable, quiet but convenient location.

I wish the breakfast offers eggs or some veggies. Not a big fan of sweet stuff for breakfast. But then this is not an issue with this Riad, more a Moroccan thing.

Zeer goede ontvangst, gastvrij en zeer vriendelijk, ontbijt heerlijk op het dakterras. Personeel is heel bereid om je met van alles te helpen, vragen te beantwoorden etc. Locatie is midden in de medina.

Als je savonds laat naar de riad loopt kan je beter niet door de medina maar buitenom lopen, in de medina zijn er soms mannen die je proberen anders te late lopen met minder goede bedoelingen

Staff were excellent especially Hafida who was so friendly and helpful. The riad is in an exceptional position with easy access to the medinas and local restaurants. Room was comfortable and breakfast varied by day which was great as we were there for five nights.

What is not to like - Khalid, our host was extremely warm, helpful and hospitable. The location was just perfect, in the historic part of the city and in walking distance to many of our activities. The riad itself is just gorgeous - a little piece of paradise tucked away, and so quiet. Our bed was really comfortable and they came and cleaned the room every day. I can't believe what great value Riad Selouane is. Highly recommend.

Die Lage des Riads ist perfekt am Rande der Medina, von hier aus kann man problemlos die Medina erkunden aber auch die umliegenden Stadtteile gut erreichen.

Die Zimmer sind individuell mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war hervorragend - typisch marokkanisch. Die Lage ist absolut top - sehr vieles an Sehenswürdigkeiten ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Absolutes Highlight ist die Backstube um die Ecke - da bekommt man fast immer (24/7) frisches Brot. :-)

Ligging, dakterras, kamer, vriendelijk personeel

Het ontbijt was karig, zeker ten opzichte van andere riads waar we zijn geweest. Koude pannekoek, plakje droge cake, hard gekookt ei, brood, yoghurt glaasje, jus en jam. Geen verse vruchten, niets voor in de yoghurt, geen kaas, niet de verschillende soorten lekkere broodjes en marokkaanse pannekoeken die we bij andere riads kregen. Toen ik om verse vruchten vroeg, kreeg ik een kiwi en banaan de volgende dag maar wel ten koste van het ei. Bovendien waren de handdoeken versleten en was er in de badkamer alleen een goedkope douche-haargel combi. Geen body lotion en zeker niet de heerlijk geurende douchegel die we in andere riads hadden gekregen.

The dinner we had at Riad Selouane was one of our best in Morocco. The staff was incredibly kind and took great care of us. The property is beautiful and the rooms are well designed.

I am allergic to cats and these were triggered by sleeping on the bed in our room. Highly recommend keeping the cats out of the rooms for guests who have the same condition.
