The Bright Lotus Guesthouse

Cheap, clean and decent in the good location right by the Royal palace and river side. Electric kettle, refridgerator, international cable TV with this price is wonderful. Mini marts were within 100 meters range and the local restaurant is at the ground floor.

מיקום מצוין, קרוב לנהר ולארמון המלכותי. מאפשר הליכות רגליות נוחות ללא הפרעות.

Nichts

We love to stay here Every thing very good The location is great We will come back soon

I love to stay here It is my favorite place The location is very good Every thing perfect

The break fast here is very good The stuff is helpful The location is great All perfect

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’ve stayed here a few times, but each visit was frustrating—whenever I arrived, I had to wait several hours before I could check in, even though rooms were available. The rooms weren’t properly cleaned, and basic amenities like shampoo, body wash, or flip flops weren’t provided. To make things worse, the air conditioning would stop working at night and only start again the afternoon before check-out, and I couldn’t get in touch with anyone to sort it out.

The A/C was wonderful, we had to move rooms due to overbooking but the staff was wonderful and moved all our things. The floor wasn’t very clean, but the staff was wonderful and friendly. For the price, it was a great place to stay with excellent location!

The floors were a bit dirty

My credit card information was compromised after online payment to this hotel and I noticed unauthorized use of my account right on the next day. Payment was done through Booking.com. Be carefull and don't provide your credit card data to this hotel if you consider staying there.

Guesthouse très bien placée face au Musée National, simple, efficace et économique

Rien

Location. Next to the Palace

Great location and check in was fairly easy, plus the shower got nice and hot.

The bed sheets were dirty and one had a burn hole in it, plus one of the blankets had a bunch of dead ants in it. The ac was super loud and annoying, and we saw a few bugs crawling around in the room.

Excellent location.

Lemplacement et laccueil sympatique

Limite propre. Les photos sont un peu trompeuse. On a paye 25usd la nuit. Alors le rapport qualite prix est sans doute ok. Lhotellerie au cambodge nest pas si peu cher.

Near riverside. Restaurants nearby

Lot of street noise and noisy bar across the road till 11pm. Woken at 4am with loud music in adjacent street

La localisation est top

Proche de tout , la gentillesse du propriétaire le prix

RAS

Great location with some small local restaurants around as well as more touristy places. Right next to the riverside. AC + fan

Plan on brining a light bed sheet as only a thick blanket is provided. The staff was not super welcoming.

The place was spotless, with 1 double bed and 1 single. So appealing, cozy anf comfortable a pretty big room with an en suit toilet. Toiletries provided and water bottles.

The staff were really kind and accommodating, we were upgraded to the bigger room due to a booking error and it was incredible. Really fun views of the city life down below with lots of natural light, with great facilities such as a fridge and fan in addition to air-conditioning.

Bathroom had a slight smell, but appeared to be very clean

A budget friendly option to stay in Phnom Penh, the location is absolutely perfect, the palace is around the corner, short walk to the night markets and river walk, very easy to get a Tuktuk to see the temples which are around this area. We checked in very late due to our bus and the owners family stayed up to check us in! Thank you!

Lots of stairs to get to our 4th floor room. Also there was a number of rough sleepers/beggars camped outside the hotel, which cannot be helped and is a huge shame to have in a city, but we was approached and followed to the door of the hotel multiple times by people asking for money or pushing their very very young child to come up to us to ask for money which was very sad, it's nothing the hotel can really help with but it's just something to be aware about if your solo travelling around this area.

The location is good and the room was a decent size

Property maybe need a bit of attention, the shower in my bathroom you had to hold while showering as the bracket on the wall had gone. My room was on the 5th floor which was fine but there is no lift and the last flight of stairs is more a ladder.

Location

Nothing avoid like the plague!!! 😞😞

Great location to visit the touristic spots around. Big and comfortable room with a nice view on the palace.

No cheap food options around, everything is for tourists so quite fancy/expensive. Room on the 4th floor, you need strong legs to climb up.

We were on the 5th floor, there was no problem for us to climb the stairs, and the view compensated the Hard work :).Royal palace and the National Museum + spectacular sunset. We really enjoyed our stay. En ded up extending the stay. Staff was great good food in the restaurant.

Location Hot shower

I was on floor 5, very steep steps, no lift. Very noisy roommate

Great location just by the riverside. Loads of restaurants, shops & tourist sites in walking distance. Helped with booking buses

No elevator so a long walk up the stairs but wasn’t too bad

Good location and great price.

There was a sewage smell inside the room. The room was very high up (last floor) and the smell didn’t go away even after the second night. So some maintenance is needed.

Location and staff

No lift at hotel

The 2d room they gave me was ok. AC worked better than the 1st one plus have a fan. Good size of room with fridge and kettle . Location, very close to the palace and markets

The stairs are very narrow. Also I was on the last floor (4)

No lift. Get used to walking up stairs.

Stay for 2x nights room without Moskito Protection

No Moskito protection over the bed

Cheap, clean and decent in the good location right by the Royal palace and river side. Electric kettle, refridgerator, international cable TV with this price is wonderful. Mini marts were within 100 meters range and the local restaurant is at the ground floor. Very convenient.

The front staff doesn't speak much English but they use phone and let you speak with a good English speaker. The staircase is a bit narrow because of the old building. No drinking water were served.

All staffs at the guesthouse are super nice and helpful especially Sam, the owner, speaks perfect English with a thrilling smile always when something is asked or just on a casual conversation!! The balcony belongs to my room has a superb view towards the street and the Royal Palace Garden, a panorama of the most axis part of Phnom Penh would be view every time standing there. In a conclusion, the guesthouse itself is absolutely a travel destination, more than a guesthouse simply!

Nothing.

The staff went above and beyond to sort out a couple of problems we had at the start of our stay but everything was brilliant. Perfect location to explore the city.

Perfect area for exploring Phnom Penh. The room was comfy and great value for money.

location

we was on the 5 floor, lots of steps to the top

Good location. Room was comfortable and spacious. They organised our bus transfer.

Wouldn’t recommend their laundry service, the clothes came back smelling worse than we gave them. They were packed in small bags still damp and condensation all over the bag

Really good location, on the same road as the Kings Palace and walking distance to old market, night market and the river. Room was basic but comfortable with all the necessities, fridge, kettle, shower, AC, TV, WiFi. Staff very friendly and helpful, I booked a bus to Siem Reap through them for no extra fee. There's also a balcony at the end of the corridor overlooking the busy street which which was nice. Overall nice stay for 2days.

Gets noisy as it's on the main road but everything seems to close rather early. No lifts luckily I was only on the second floor!

Very comfortable room, all amenities you could want, nice views from 5th floor, great central location, friendly staff

Quite a climb up stairs if you have big luggage!

Location

Owners wife is one of the most miserable and unfriendly people you could ever meet!!!!

Really good location, staff were really friendly and helpful, helped us book onward travel to koh rong. Room was spacious and comfortable bed. Had a fan and AC and also a fridge to use too.

Nothing

Location

We stayed on the 5th floor which had an amazing sunset view. The room was clean and comfortable. I became ill on our last day and was unable to travel. The staff were very kind and helped us to change our transportation and extended our stay for the night. The location is also great, right by the river and close to a shop, pharmacy, restaurants and the palace.

There is no elevator to the 5th floor so was a bit of a struggle with a big bag as the staircase is narrow and steep but if you’re fit it’s okay and was worth it for the view. Our bathroom door also didn’t shut or lock.

Good location

Had my wallet stolen from the room while sleeping

Great location, close to the museum and the King's palace, wonderful staff, clean rooms. Plenty of cafes nearby. Although the one associated with the guest house was great.

The stairs are narrow and steep. That is what it is. But not for people with mobility issues

Close to riverside & bars

Top floor ... Loads of steep stairs

The staff were very helpful and the location was good for the Palace, market and other city centre activities. The room was a good size and there was a shared seating area on the corner of the corridor overlooking the street and the gardens.

The shower did not have very strong water pressure and the shower head could do with cleaning or changing. As it was overlooking the street it was a little noisy at night.

The rooms are basic but comfortable. We stayed on top floor - there is no elevator, but the views from the balcony are phenomenal, with Royal Palace, National Museum and city skyline in front of you. Within walking distance to all main attractions and the riverside.

We had a little trouble communicating, as most of the time there was no one on site with even a little English, but that was just minor inconvenience

Aircon/Fridge Mattress. Location, near places to see and value restaurants. Value for money, it's never gonna be the Ritz at this price! Helpful owner.

Noisy location, expect it until 12pm. 5th floor stairs are a killer. Needs a bit of TLC

Close to main attractions, restaurants etc. The mattress was comfortable. It s ok , but don.t expect a lot.

Very noisy area, i would suggest earplugs at night. Top floors are a climb! Bathroom had no ventilation. Towels and sheets were old.

Location

Welcoming and waiting to have access to our room. Situation of rooms (1st and 4th floor) to one family

The bed was comfortable

Not welcoming atmosphere. just give me money here is key. It was very noisy inside and out. No proper window's to keep the noise out so got no sleep. I booked for 4 nights but only stayed one. I have been travelling for a while around SE Asia and this is the worst place I've stayed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Staff were friendly. Good location with a nice view over the park. The air con was old but cooled the room down. The room was clean.

I was on top floor. A lot of steep steps, from the 4th floor one has to literally climb ladder style steps. Very step. The shower would flood and you will end up with an indoor pool. My last night was terrible. I woke up at 1am with a leaking roof. Drops were falling all over me. There was a storm, when I stepped off the bed, my room was a swimming pool. Electrical goods were plugged in. I was scared I would get electrocuted. While the owner did apologise, she didn't offer me a refund for the last night. I think that is unacceptable.

The location is very nice and the room is good.

Smoking smell is so bad, and sound of neighbor.

Location was great! The AC was cold, there were a couple amenities that we really appreciated, a safe lock box and clean fridge! There was a desk and chair which was very helpful! Oh, if you have trouble with stairs be sure to ask for lower rooms, we got 4th floor (but you're actually walking up to 5th floor) as they didn't have any lower floors available. They told us we could change rooms next day but we decided to just stay and get in the extra exercise. I would have rated it a 6 out of 10, but because of the safe and fridge I'm giving it 7 out 10.

The bed was a very hard memory foam mattress and the walls had gecko poop everywhere. I counted at least 17 poop stains, it was gross! There were water damage on the wall by my side which was nasty as it bubbled by my side of the bed. The AC leaked dripped down the walls and my husband noticed it got his bag wet. We moved it away. I was grossed out by the poop on the walls.

Location staff helpfull propreté

The location and the WiFi worked. Aircon was okish but at least they had a fan as well. Fridge in the room.

The pillow cases smelled bad. Like someone slept on them. I had to put a shirt over so I could sleep. The toilet smelled bad. My laundry I paid for wasn’t clean when it returned. I had tissue in one of my pockets and it was still perfectly fine. Definitely didn’t get wet. The one towel smelled like pee.

Great view

All the steps to the great view

Fantastic location and a nice owner. He helped us set up sim cards and let us leave our bags all day on our last day. Lockboxes in the room, good air-conditioning and a warm shower.

very central to things and comfy. air con and fan were lovely and was nice to have a fridge.

shower was very low pressure and the temperature alternated drastically. could do with a deep clean.

The location is perfect.

There was an unpleasant smell on our last night. and we were not sure where it's coming from. but it seems like it's coming from the bathroom or what and no one has used the bathroom prior to that. our room was in the 4th floor and there was no elevator.

Good value for money. Couldn't have asked for a better location.

Toilets don't have exhaust fans...

Good location in the centre of town. Room was clean and comfortable. A/C worked well. Common area balcony with good views of the city.

We stayed here 3 nights and then came back for another night to break up a journey. No issues with our first stay. Before returning for our second stay we messaged the manager to say we would be there between 3-4pm and received an acknowledgement from him. When we arrived there was a boy working on reception (no English and very young - between the age of 13-14). He passed the phone to me and the manager explained that our room would not be ready until between 5-6pm as they had allowed the previous guests to extend their reservation because one of the guests was apparently sick. We wouldn't have minded if we had been told ahead of time. When I explained that this was inconvenient the manager offered us $1 off. We eventually agreed on $4 discount. When we came back to the hotel at 5:45pm I was again passed the phone by the boy on reception and the manager explained the room would not be ready until 6:30pm. The whole time the manager had my phone number from our previous visit and had not bothered to keep us informed. I understand that sometimes things go wrong and misscommications are not uncommon. However I found the manager at this hotel quite unprofessional. This was unfortunate because we enjoyed the first part of our stay.
