Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely rooms.

Die Unterkunft war makellos sauber, worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und das Personal waren durchgehend super freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich.

Man sollte wissen, dass die Logde recht weit ab vom Schuss liegt. Der Weg dort hin ist zudem etwas holprig und uneben da nur geschottert. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt war der Zugang zum Zimmer. Dieser führt über eine enge Treppe, was das Tragen von schwerem Gepäck ziemlich mühsam macht.

Magical location! Such a perfect getaway! Incredible for a family trip! My loft room with a fireplace was exquisite! And the Fijn shop and surrounding spectacular!! Thank you!!!

Lovely welcome, friendly easy going staff. Delightful rooms which were exceptionally clean, very well-maintained and with a contemporary take on old world charm. The fresh milk and rusks were a welcome bonus.

Wish it hadn't been quite so cold, but that's no fault of the hotel and the electric blankets on the bed were perfect; the room was well heated too.

Everything was great - rooms and attention to details also good , only issue was the warmth of the room - the wall heater wasnt enough to keep the room warm - accepted we stayed there on a very chlly evening . But still , a warm room in winter is a must . Other than that , everything was supberb !!!

The setting at the foot of the mountain was superb.The staff are very friendly.The breakfast was fantastic,freshly baked farm bread was delicious.The short hike was awesome.

The whole team was so warm, welcoming and thoughtful, they demonstrated real "gasvryheid". The location is a great mix of close to town but with views over farm and wild mountains. Excellent breakfast in cozy dining room (with the crackling fire going this chilly time of year). Beautiful natural Fijn botanical body products in the room and available for purchase in the well curated shop on site.

It's a hilly property, so be aware of numerous stairs in the property, if accessibility is a consideration. Some minor road noise travels up from the R62, but worth it for the setting :).

Herrliche Lage, überaus nettes Personal, wunderschönes Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück mit selbst hergestellten Produkten. Einfach nur genial!

Heerlijke en rustige plek om te verblijven, de accommodatie ligt aan de rand van Montagu. Het heeft 2, kleine, zwembaden (één warm en één koud). Je kan tegen betaling een drankje uit de koelkast pakken. Het ontbijt was lekker en goed verzorgd. Ook was de host erg vriendelijk.

Das Frühstück war super lecker, alles frisch zubereitet und auf Wunsch gibt es auch warme Eierspeisen. Das Hotel war sehr niedlich und mit liebe zum detail eingerichtet.

Sehr grüne Anlage voller Charme. Grosses Zimmer mit Cheminée-Ofen. Herrliches Frühstück mit selbst gemachten Konfitüren.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house has that lovely traditional Karoo look and has a classy, timeless feel. Breakfast was superb.

The surroundings are wonderful. The staff are friendly. The breakfast is fresh and delicious.

It was nearly 40°C outside, and there was no air conditioning in the rooms, so it was really difficult to sleep.

The location and setting of the farm are beautiful, and we particularly liked the two pools - one with warm water and the other with natural temperature. The garden abounds with beautiful tortoises and various other farm animals. The communal areas are very tastefully decorated, and the general atmosphere is welcoming. The Karoo setting is unique and unusual, and the proximity of the mountains and the nature reserve is a nice plus. We enjoyed sampling the cosmetics, which are also unique and natural and produced by the owners. The terrace overlooking the nature reserve was really pleasant.

Our room itself was quite basic, and we had issues with the shower, which were quickly attended to, but the water pressure remained just a bit better than a trickle.

Een prachtige accommodatie, mooi gelegen in Montagu, op een paar minuten rijden van het centrum. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt goed. De huiskat Picasso is heel lief en aanhankelijk.

Onze kamers hadden geen airco (niet naar gekeken tijdens het boeken). Het was erg warm, waardoor je met de deur open moest slapen. Het waaide alleen erg hard waardoor minder goed geslapen.

Rustige, idyllische locatie. Heel vriendelijk personeel, niets is teveel gevraagd.

De bedden lagen echt niet lekker en het was verschrikkelijk warm in de kamer.

Gudomligt boende med utsökt frukost. Trevlig personal. Skulle absolut återvända.

This is an oasis, it’s truly pretty and relaxing. The whole place smells of herbs and flowers. It reminds me of Greece. Our room was simple and relaxing. The staff are very welcoming

Die Lage - der Ort war fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Die Gestaltung der Anlage gestaltete den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm.

Friendly staff. Lovely room with gorgeous bath products made on site. Two small and attractive pools. Off the beaten track and great views but close enough to great restaurants.

Exuberant small children in the pools made it impossible to relax.

The parking was quite difficult, but not really a big problem.

An amazing guest house set in a quiet, rural area. All the staff were so friendly and attentive and accommodating. The room was spotless, spacious and well stocked. A very comfy bed! Highly recommended.

The hosts are very friendly. Lovely shop with fantastic products. On the foot of the mountain with easy access to hiking routes.

The hot breakfast was unfortunately not up to standard at all - totally overcooked. Heat & Mosquitos - every property we visited on our tour had something in place for mosquitoes. Unfortunately nothing here - No nets, no repellent, no ceiling fans. One of the rooms only had a small fan that did not work properly. The fan in the other room was hidden in a closet.

It was absolutely delightful. Clean, welcoming, helpful staff and high standard facilities. I pre-ordered Fjin toiletry products from the shop. When I arrived it was presented to me beautifully wrapped and ready to transport. The heated pool was lovely too. Food was good with homemade bread and a full English breakfast, and home made rusks in the bedroom, irresistible. I was even given the recipe so I can make my own.

Oerhört charmigt, rent och fint! Lung och skön atmosfär. Trevliga fina rum. Väldigt god frukost som serverades i direkt kontakt med köket. Ett litet guest house med få rum och en familjär och hemtrevlig miljö. I ett av rummen såldes även skönhetsprodukter tillverkade på plats av ägarinnan, köpte en hel del och de höll bra och hög kvalitet, väldigt nöjd.

De hoofdweg wel erg hoorbaar, en dat je bij t ontbijt geen goede koffie kunt bestellen uit apparaat enkel tegen bijbetaling.

Breakfast was great. Room was not made afyer our first night. Had to make our own bed. Cups were not washed or replaced woth clean cups.

Wunderschöne Anlage in Montagu. Ein beheizter Pool, den man rund um die Uhr benutzen kann. Frühstück sehr gut. Ideal für einen kurzen aber auch längeren Aufenthalt in Montagu.

Stay was great, but expected air conditioning. On a very hot night one isn't able to sleep with the windows open because of mosquitoes and bugs, so needed to use the fan throughout. Only negative, rest was great.

We loved the hot and cold pools, the incredibly clean room and intimate feel of the place. The hosts were so lovely, the little shop was peaceful and the setting is hidden away behind beautiful, lush, plants.

Ein wunderschöner Ort, eine Oase der Ruhe. Komfortable, geräumige Zimmer, alles ist liebevoll und mit Geschmack eingerichtet. Ein Highlight sind die Kosmetik-Produkt, die auf der Farm hergestellt werden. Direkt von der Unterkunft gibt es Zugang zu den Wanderwegen.

The room we booked had a tiny bathroom without anywhere to put our toiletries. Although you could take a walk into town, it isn’t right there which was my failing as I could’ve checked.

A very nice and well equipped cottage. We felt at home from the very first minute. Extremely friendly people and a lovely little town.

Everything was great

We loved the farm, it was a real treat being in such a peaceful place surrounded by the mountains and also having Montagu town close by. There is a very "homely" feeling. The staff were so warm and thoughtful, adding a personal touch to our time there. The breakfast was delicious each morning. We also had a few lunches and dinners which were great, pretty presentation. The Fijn shop and products are beautiful too.

Our room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. We loved being able to open the French doors to let light and air in.

The farm is in a peaceful, quiet part of Montagu right next door to a nature preserve. The aesthetic of the buildings is contemporary, uncluttered and beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious with many selections, The special braai for out tour group was wonderful served under the grape arbor under the stars. Yolandie and Paul were available to take care of al of our needs.

The parking space between the buildings is uneven and rough.

Overwhelmed by the lovely location and friendly staff. Lovely and peaceful. Montagu is a really amazing little town too! Friendly dogs and amazing bio products. Even has a hike around the nearby hills.

A beautiful experience at the very edge of the amazing gorge. Lovely decor, well-designed spaces, excellent facilities and the finest fynbos botanical products! Although we were there on a quiet night, the chef stayed on to prepare us a delicious meal. Friendly and welcoming - a treat.

What a great stay, with great people and great hosts. The facilities were clean, the heated swimming pool a winner and the setting ideal. i will definitely visit them again.

There is nothing i did not like. Everything was super nice. the parking is slightly challanging especialy if you drive a big car, and does test your parking abilities.

We liked the location. The room was comfortable and clean.

There were something eating trough our ceiling. We were awake from 00:30 until 05:00. The rat/mongoose only went to sleep then, so we could also sleep again.

The deluxe room that I chose is beautiful, clean and cozy and perfect for a relaxed getaway. The service at the property was overall good. And I felt safe as a solo traveler

The internet connection was unstable, slow at times and did not connect at all in some instances. Housekeeping didn’t come clean my room on my last day there.
