Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Nice renovated main building, hallways and reception area. Rooms are really big, a bit dated, but still well maintained, clean and nice. They offer some free drinks in the afternoon at the lounge. The outdoor rotemburo is beautiful, and the views of the Yufu volcano from there, just great. Mind they have a no tattoo policy, but it's ok if you can use tattoo covers. Staff was very helpful.
Mattresses were quite hard. You better have a car to reach it. It's a bit far from the train station as to walk with luggage. During the day, it's just a nice short stroll through rice paddies to the main shopping street, so not bad either.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Breakfast was kaiseki style as was dinner. There were no choices as far as style like Western vs. Japanese as I've had at another similar style hotel in the past. The food was good, not great also in comparison to two other similar experiences I have had. Serve yourself coffee/tea in the morning. Location was amazing. Long walk from main area of Yufuin but through amazing rice fields and lovely neighborhood. It was also an easy walk to the Lake which we did on our last morning. Size of the room 303 was really large with separate living area that could transform into a bed room for extra guests. Two twin sized beds so we slept separately. Happy Hour after dinner with make your own drinks was nice. Garden setting was lovely to walk thru.
Overall condition of the room was a little bit tired. The shower is the same outdoor shower that you use to get in and out of the onsen from. So it's a little less conventional for Westerners but it works. Bathroom amenities were minimal and not up to my particular liking or standard. No real body lotion some packet that wasn't really lotion. I used our private onset more but did go to the Women's public onset once and it was very nice with rocks etc...

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026服務很好，協助辦理入住和晚餐服務的是一位外籍男服務生（可能是印度？）本來跟我說日文，發現我還要翻譯給家人，就直接跟我家人用英文介紹，介紹完了還不忘回頭再用日文跟我介紹一次， 真的很貼心。 早餐，晚餐都很好吃，雖然附近沒有店家， 但餐飲份量很足，不怕餓肚子，晚上還有迎賓飲料。房間內有濃縮咖啡很讚，溫泉很棒，不管是大眾池還是家庭湯屋都不錯，環境清潔。下次還會想再來住。

第一天抵達時是由一位男員工協助辦理入住，態度相當嚴肅冷淡，如果能更親切一點就好了。 房間前往浴場有一段石路，晚上天色昏暗時可能會有點危險，需特別注意。

한국에 경주에 있는 일본료칸 비슷한곳 방문한 느낌임. 유후인 료칸 정말 신중하게 고민해보시고 가까운 벳부쪽 료칸으로 가는게 진리일듯 합니다. 특히 훤히 뜨인 개방감있는 료칸을 원하시고 일본전통 료칸 체험을 원하시면 유후인은 비추입니다.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026房間整體很寬敞，夜晚非常安靜。 露天溫泉非常舒服與放鬆身心。 會席料理很棒，分量剛好而且很精緻。 Happy Hour提供酒精飲料，可以與家庭聊天享受一個晚上。
旅館房間裏面沒有提供浴室，如果半夜想洗澡是沒辦法的。 交通出入只能自駕或是Taxi與走路。

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026방문 전 부터, 아이들 나이와 성별 부터 시작해서 안내가 되어 너무 좋았고 개인 노천탕은, 가족들과 좋은 시간을 보내기에 아주 충분했습니다. 룸 컨디션은 아주 좋았고, 식사도 저녁/조식 모두 제공인데 만족스러웠습니다. 3세 남아는 식사가 따로 제공 되지 않았지만, 6세 여아의 식사를 나누어 먹기에 양도 충분했고, 추가로 밥을 요청해서 아이에게 주었습니다. 가족탕은 방문하지 못하였지만, 개인 노천탕에서 충분히 즐길 수 있었습니다. 이번에는 아이들과 함께 였지만, 기회가 된다면 부모님과도 함께 방문하고 싶은 곳 이었습니다.
특별히 없었습니다. 드링크 바에 간단하게 안줏거리가 있으면 더 좋았을 것 같아요, 시내와의 거리는 조금 있는 편이었으나, 차량으로 이동 한다면 문제가 되지 않습니다.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026유후인에서 머문 숙소 중 최고의 경험이었습니다. 가이세키 요리는 기대 이상이었고, 유후산을 바라보며 즐기는 노천온천은 정말 환상적이었습니다. 정원과 대나무숲 산책로도 아름다웠으며 직원분들의 친절한 서비스까지 완벽했습니다. 다음에 유후인을 방문해도 다시 묵고 싶은 료칸입니다.
특별히 아쉬웠던 점이 있다면, 유카타 디자인이 한 종류라는 점? 요즘 인스타 등 사진이 중요한데 여자 셋 각각 다른 디자인이였다면 하는 아쉬움이 있었어요. 다음에 방문시 개선되길 바래봅니다.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026スタッフのみなさんがあいさつもよく気配りもすてきでした。 ホタルも見ることができ大満足で、お部屋も広くゆっくり過ごすことができました。由布院米とても美味しかったです。 温泉♨️家族風呂、露天風呂と星を見ながら、のんびり日常を忘れてゆっくり過ごせました。
非常用の懐中電機の電池が切れていたのが残念でした。 食事に果物やヨーグルトがあるとよかったです。

Reviewed May 14, 2026Teníamos la habitación con onsen privado, que es una cabaña entera, con un onsen interior y uno exterior. Todo tatami, camas cómodas y mucho espacio. La comida muy buena y abundante. Y está en un entorno precioso, aunque para llegar desde la estación hay que caminar unos 20 minutos o coger un taxi. El personal muy atento, siempre al detalle. Perfecto para descansar y darse un capricho.

Reviewed May 13, 2026가족탕도 좋았고 대욕장에서 별이 보이는 노천탕을 즐길 수 있어 너무 좋았습니다. 저녁식사와 아침식사 또한 쾌적한 환경에 보는맛도 즐길수있는 행복한 시간이었습니다. 방도 청결하고 주변산책로도 좋아 모든가족이 행복한 하루를 보냈습니다.
체크인때 기념일이 있으면 작성하라고 해서 아버지 70번째 생일을 적었으나 따로 어떤 언급조차 없어 아쉬웠습니다. 다른후기에 무료로 사케를 받은 분도 있다고 하는데 그외에 모든것에 만족하여 크게 불만은 없습니다

Reviewed May 12, 2026Everything was phenomenal and beyond my expectations, to finally experience an authentic onsen in a town with Mt Yufu in the backdrop is a memory I’ll have forever with my partner! The staff were pleasant and amenities were very clean and quiet, while giving also a romantic secluded getaway feeling.
More signage to find the hotel when turning in. Ambiguous which driveway. Could’ve been because it was raining the day I visited but I turned in on the second street after the sign.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026숙소 전망이 너무 좋았고 무엇보다 방에 있는 온천이 최고, 노천탕에 분위기있게 즐기기 너무 좋았어요. 방에 온천이있어 가족탕은 따로 이용 안했고, 대중탕도 이용했는데 깔끔하고 탕도 커서 여유롭게 즐겼음. 저녁 가이세키 요리는 잊을 수 없을 정도,,응대해주시는 직원분 너무 친절했고 추천받은 사케 중에 바이엔 사케가 깔끔하니 맛있었음. 요리가 다 특색있어서 눈과 입이 즐거웠고, 다만 배가 금방 불러서 남긴게 너무너무 아쉬웠음.
유후인버스터미널에서 걸어서 20분거리 산책할 겸 걸어가자~했는데 택시 꼭 이용하시길,,, 시골길이라 캐리어 끌기 힘들고 경사진 언덕있어서 좀 벅찼음. 택시 예약도 미리미리 하고가시길,,,금방 매진됩니다~

Reviewed Apr 25, 202680이 가까운 부모님을 보시고 누나랑 나랑 총 4명이서 4박5일을 갔고, 4박 모두 다른 숙소였지만 모두 온천에, 석식,조식 포함 예약했습니다. 여긴 식사는 1등, 온천은 3등이었어요~ 확실히 물은 벳부1등, 아소2등이었어요. 그럼에도 여기를 누나가 가장 좋았다고 말했던건 식사였습니다. 프라이빗한 공간에서 대접 받는 느낌, 음식이며 서비스며 모든 것들이 대접 받는 느낌이었습니다. 음식 맛도 여기가 단연 1등이었습니다. 정갈하고, 고급스럽고, 아기자기하고 여기에 엄청난 많은 양의 음식이었습니다. 저녁엔 무료 드링크바가 있어서 저는 여기서 아버지와 와인도 한잔했네요~ 맥주는 없고, 여러가지 독주와 와인이 있었어요~ 누나는 다시 가고 싶다고 했었어요~

There are no photos or clear descriptions/ reviews whether we will have the shower indoor or outdoor, as the room is named open-air bath and semi open-air bath, so we are not sure about the shower as it was cold.

Reviewed Mar 6, 2026Établissement de grande qualité, les bains familiaux sont très beaux c'est magique. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très belle . C'est juste un peu dommage d'avoir deux lits séparés pour une chambre pour un couple mais sinon tout est très bien et les repas sont incroyable et délicieux. Il est possible de réserver un massage dans la chambre c'est très agréable

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026아침식사는 맛있었어요 위치는 렌트카로 가서 편하게 갔고 직원분들 다 친절하세요 가족탕은 타이밍을 잘봐야 이용할 수 있어요. 가족탕 크기 매우 커서 대가족도 같이 들어가기 좋을 것 같아요 대욕탕도 매우좋았습니다. 료칸 자체가 분위기가 너무너무 좋아요 식사할때 방이 나눠져있는 것은 프라이빗하고 좋았어요
가이세키와 아침조식메뉴 키즈메뉴를 추가했었는데 거의 서양식으로 되어있어서 좀 아쉬웠어요 그리고 음식이 따뜻하지 않아서 아쉬웠습니다.

Reviewed Feb 27, 2026숙소 내의 방, 거실, 베란다, 화장실의 동선과 짐을 보관할 공간이 넉넉해서 좋았습니다. 잠자리인 침대와 요도 푹신하고 편안했어요. 제가 묶었던 방과 온천이 가까워서 이 점도 좋았어요.

방이 매우 어두워서 불편했음. 욕장의 탈의실과 목재시설이 너-무 낡고 유지보수가 필요해보임. 전체적으로 개선이 필요하다고 생각됨

대욕장에 샤워실과 파우더룸이 더 청결하였으면 좋겠습니다. 드라이가 세대정도는 더 있어야 할것 같습니다. 그리고 편의점이나 자동판매기가 있으면 더 좋겠습니다.

Reviewed Dec 30, 2025We stayed in a room with a private bath. The room was very big with separated sleeping area from the main tatami mat. We stayed with a child which was great because we could have family baths in our own private onsen. This also allowed us to adjust the temperature of the onsen but turning the hot water taps on and off. The facility was very beautiful and modern. Staff were great.
If you want your room cleaned front desk ask you to drop your key off by 11am and to not return to your room until 4 or 5 pm. I found this timing a bit ridiculous as we would like access to our room when need it.

The pillows were a little hard . Also the onsen is decent but a little smaller than what I expected. Also would be better if they gave larger towels in the onsen.

Reviewed Dec 14, 2025beautiful place and landscape, our room was amazing, the food incredible and the rotenburo was to die for.
The private onsen was occupied both times we tried; maybe if it could be booked it'd be easier to get a spot.

Location. Not convenient to get to without a rental vehicle. The water temperature at the large outdoor onsen was not warm enough for me.
