Das Frühstück haut nicht aus den Socken ist aber akzeptabel. Wäre besser ein einheimisches Frühstück anzubieten als ein Touri Frühstück erzwingen zu wollen.

Beautiful peaceful high end villa with very attentive staff

There is nothing to dislike with the villa itself, but I would say it is right next to the mosque and therefore you do get woken at 5am(an easy fix with earplugs). The villa sells no drinks atall which is odd,so if you want a drink around the pool you have to get dressed and walk down the road to the shop-that could really be improved

Wat fantastisch is het hier. Zo rustig terwijl de doorgaande weg om de hoek is. Entree, ontvangst, kamer, douche, ontbijt, service... alles zo goed. Jammer dat we op doorreis zijn anders hadden we zeker langer geboekt. Ook vanwege de massage en treatment mogelijlheden. Een aanrader.

Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und das Frühstück wurde uns vor dem Eingang (eigener Tisch) serviert.

In der Nähe hatte es eine Moschee und dadurch war es bei Morgengebet etwas laut:

The pool and grounds were beautiful and private. The staff were attention and friendly. The room was massive.

The property is in the suburbs and there is a lot of traffic if you go for a walk outside.

I always stay at the Villa White, whenever I arrive in Sri Lanka and before I leave- it offers me peace, calm and tranquilty. The staff are all wonderful and the rooms are immaculate..

Everything! The room was huge and comfortable with a lounge area, absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was also fabulous. The pool was a great size and inviting. The staff were absolutely wonderful and I had a massage too which was really really good (and very reasonable price). The breakfast (you pre-order the day before) was tasty and plentiful. The hotel doesn't do lunch or dinner at the moment but we used Uber Eats to get dinner one night and the staff provided plates etc. I can't say how much I loved Villa White Queen. It's a little outside Galle (about 10 mins tuk tuk) but that was fine for us. Thanks very much to the wonderful staff for making our stay so relaxing. We were sad to leave. It was definitely my favourite hotel during my Sri Lanka trip :)

Breakfast was a great and always something different. The curd was especially delicious. The setting was beautiful and very tranquil.

Very limited choice of drinks at the bar (there was wine in the fridge and when I asked for a glass, I was told "no"). Our room was lovely but limited natural light which was a shame. The Villa had hired some staff to repaint the interior and exterior of the building and they had done a terrible job, dropping paint into the fishpond, the woodwork and the floor - we also ended up with paint on our shoes and bags.

Large spacious rooms, fantastic staff & service, realisable wifi & a great breakfast to boot. We should have stayed longer.

Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und gut ausgestattet. Der Pool und die ruhige Lage zur lauten Stadt angenehm.

Während der Spa Behandlung hat der Masseur das Smartphone zur Hand genommen und dieses genutzt, als ich mit dem Gesicht nach unten und unbedeckt da lag. Diese Situation war für mich sehr unangenehm und verstörend. Ich sprach ihn an Ende der Sitzung an und er zeigte mir, nachdem er scrollte und vermutlich Fotos löschte (typisches Bewegungsmuster), seine Galerie (mitten drin) nicht vom aktuellen Tag. Auf Nachfrage scrollte er zum aktuellen Tag und es war dann natürlich kein Foto mehr da. So hatte ich keinen Beweis, denke aber mein Gefühl trügt nicht... Außerdem führte er die Massage unangemessen nah am Genitalbereich durch. Ich würde das Spa mit einem männlichen Therapeuten nicht mehr besuchen.

Personal war wahnsinnig freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Veganes Essensangebot wäre fantastisch.

Väldigt vackert ställe! Så lugnande och härligt med lugn musik på i trädgården. Frukosten var god. Smidigt att få tag i tuktuk på gatan och åka till fortet.

The property is not very close to galle face, but a short tuk tuk ride away. Easily accessible. The swimming pool is clean. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and well equipped.

- They did not have a spa as promised. - The massage they arranged as compensation was very bad. - They do not provide meals other than breakfast and the earliest provided time is 9am which to be honest is very late. - A very big disappointment was their attitude towards charging and clearing the payment. They offered us unreasonable exchange prices and did not accept a 50 dollar note so that we’re forced to give a 100 and accept change in very poor exchange LKR price. - Lastly, they do not have a method for us to call the reception, one has to go physically for even the smallest of things like getting towels.

What an amazing hotel, can't recommend it enough. We liked it so much that we extended one more night. Staff is amazing, very helpful with any demand you have. Breakfast was amazing as well, they go out of their way to fulfill your requests. Definitely best hotel we stayed in Sri Lanka.

The villa was a haven of peace & calm in a busy city, although not in the fort area it takes 5 mins in a tuk tuk to the fort. The pool is a lovely place to relax, the rooms are spacious, cool and comfortable. It’s the staff that make this place, kindle, gentle, calm and they cannot do enough for you with their beautiful smiles. The breakfasts were so delicious too !

The garden setting was peaceful and serene, with a good selection of birds, squirrels and geckos enjoying this green haven. The foyer with its central large fishpond is a cool retreat from the noise and car fumes outside.

The apartment is super spacious and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the private bath for two. Lovely for cooling off at the end of the day. Our only suggestion would be better, brighter lighting inside, so we could read our books in the cool apartment interior.

Nice small resort, big and clean room with great shower, lovely garden with large refreshing pool, excellent and kind staff, lovely breakfast.

Nothing really but you need to know this hotel is not located in the beautifull old town. On the other hand, because of this you have a nice big garden and refreshing swimming Pool. And with a tuktuk it only takes 7 minutes to reach the old town.

We spend 3 nights here in Galle in the Villa White Queen and their team is very friendly, professional and helpfull. The rooms are very nice furnished ,clean and air conditioned. You have a lot of space in the rooms and a big and really nice bathroom. All in all the hotel is very clean and well kept. The hotel was not direct in Galle Fort, but you can Walk or get a TukTuk for 1-2 Euro and you will be there very quickly. Their pool ist very nice and build in a beautiful scenery. All in all the hotel, garden and the rooms are really beautiful. We would come here again- keep it up!👌😊 Thank you very much for our very pleasant stay🙏 Ronnie & Sabine

Fabulous hotel in a quiet convenient part of Galle. Easy quick tuk tuk ride to fort and great restaurants. Beautiful spacious clean room with classy furnishings and super comfortable bed. Pool area is lovely to relax and unwind. Breakfast was fantastic and served just outside the room on the terrace. Staff really helpful. Totally recommend this hotel.

We were at the end of our trip around Sri Lanka and this was very high quality, clean and restful place to stay. The Spa facilities offered a lot, we got two massages at a very reasonable price and they were very high quality. Breakfast was lovely, staff very attentive and the pool area is a lovely tranquil space. We loved Galle as well what a pretty and fun place, very different from the rest of our trip and other beach holidays.

Wir haben ein sehr gutes Angebot über Booking erhalten. Die Unterkunft ist bis ins letzte Detail sehr schön gestaltet. Die Zimmer sind extrem sauber und groß. Das Frühstück ist unglaublich lecker und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mit dem Tuck-Tuck ist man schnell im Fort und freut sich danach wieder auf die Ruhe in der Villa White und einer Erfrischung im Pool.

I have stayed numerous times at the Villa White Queen, simply because it's one of my favourite places to unwind after a long journey. The staff are very courteous and kind and the Villa is a peaceful haven, in the centre of Galle.

The property, staff, garden, suite, facilities, pool, and the overall experience was Wonderful for me and the family. The kids loved the stay so much. Only a 10-min drive to the Dutch Fort.

Unglaublich schönes Oase mitten in Galle! Service, Zimmer und Frühstück waren hervorragend. Das Pool und die private Gartenanlage ist ein Traum und man will garnicht mehr weg:) Wir haben uns im dortigen Spa Peelings und Massagen bei Sam (eine reizende Sri-Lankerin) gegönnt. Einer der besten Behandlungen die wir jemals genießen durften, jeden Cent Wert! Die Altstadt von Galle ist mit dem TukTuk ca. 10 Minuten entfernt. Die Unterkunft ist somit sehr ruhig und gleichzeitig super Zentral. Wir kommen definitiv wieder bei unserer nächsten Sri-Lanka Reise:)

Es ist ein wunderschöner sehr gepflegter Garten mit schönem Pool, weswegen wir die Unterkunft gebucht haben. Das neu eröffnete spa, bot uns die beste Massage in ganz Sri Lanka. Die Zimmer waren außergewöhnlich schön und sauber. Die Leute dort super nett! Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Danke

We had an amazing room with great air con, Netflix, a super comfy bed and it was on two floors. Pool was lovely. Decor is gorgeous and it feels like you are in a little oasis outside of the Fort

Staff were a bit pushy trying to get you to do other things at the hotel. Thought it was a bit of a shame that more traditional items weren’t offered for breakfast such as egg hoppers and pol pani.

Gastvrijheid, hele grote schone kamer met een mega fijn bed en douche. Personeel is superlief en aardig, zelfs na uitchecken mochten we het zwembad en de handdoeken nog gebruiken. We kregen ook nog een gratis flesje water mee. Ontbijt is lekker! Zwembad met heerlijke bedjes!

We were blown away by our stay at Villa White Queen! Our room was incredibly spacious and felt truly luxurious. The staff were exceptional—so friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The beautiful garden provides a tranquil setting to relax or enjoy a delicious breakfast. The pool is large and sparkling clean, perfect for a refreshing dip. The location is excellent; it's just a short tuk-tuk ride away from the historic Galle Fort. For the price, this level of quality is outstanding. We highly recommend this gem!

That we could not stay longer.

Cet endroit est un vrai havre paix. C'est absolument magnifique. La chambre familiale que nous avions était vraiment immense et très agréable, au niveau de la piscine. Le personnel est adorable et très disponible. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux Le jardin et la piscine sont splendides. La piscine est vraiment incroyable !

C'était un peu loin du fort de Galle, il faut prendre un tuk tuk (5 mins), à pied c'est 35 mins.

Hotel preciós enmig del caos de Galle. Habitacions grans amb llits molt còmodes que conviden a dormir hores i hores. Banys molt grans amb màmpara. La zona de la piscina i les hamaques és preciosa, convida a passar-t’hi tot el matí.

Un hotel d’aquesta categoria hauria de tenir al bany productes de bany (gorro de cabell, bastonets, cotó fluix, etc). No ens van deixar fer late check out i entrar a l’habitació a dutxar-nos després de la piscina (12pm) tot i posar-se a fer l’habitació més tard.

Gorgeous hotel with a lovely pool. Location provided us with a quiet space, away from Galle Fort. Food was nice and fresh juice was tasty! Staff were friendly, and warm.

No alcohol available at pool bar, which would have been welcomed on a hot day. A breakfast menu of choices would have been helpful. We had to ask for a Sri Lankan Breakfast - which was provided and was delicious. However, if we didn't ask, it wouldn't have been made an option. Our room was not cleaned during our 2 night stay, and our water was not restocked.

A very nice breakfast overlooking the pool. Room was overly big. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Staff were all friendly.

Couldn't figure out how to use the TV, but I guess that's on me

A wonderful 3 night stay in the family suite with two double beds. Service from all the hotel staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived, and they went above and beyond from giving us a takeaway breakfast on our last day when we left early, as well as helping with our hired tuktuk! Hotel is further out of Galle Fort (about a 10min tuktuk drive/25 min walk), but setting of buildings onsite is lovely, centred around the main pool and communal outside area. There is a mosque nearby so you can hear the call to prayer, but didn't disturb us.

The staff are super nice and we book the villa is big . overall is excellent and they really try to provide excellent service . I gave high mark because they provide service from their heart and sense. They restaurant should have airconditon but not so I did gave full mark . Anyway I recommend this hotel to my friends .

Super guter und netter Service. Hervorzuheben ist der Koch l, welcher uns morgens bediente und die Dame hinter der Rezeption, welche uns sehr geholfen hat. Schöner Pool und wunderschöne Anlage. Mit dem Tuk Tuk seid ihr in 10 Minuten im Fort Galle für nur 200-400 LKR

An manchen Stellen im Hauptgebäude muss bald wieder renoviert werden. Der Fernseher im großen Zimmer scheint bei der Darstellung ein Problem zu haben.

Le cadre de l'hotel est sublime et nous avons été parfaitement bien reçu ! La Suite Familiale de Luxe - Vue sur Piscine est sublime et immense. La piscine et le jardin sont magnifiques. Le petit déjeuner est très complet et le personnel au top (sans être trop sur notre dos).

Восхитительная вилла с огромной зелёной территорией. Обильные и разнообразные завтраки, супер-обслуживание, очень классное постельное бельё и подушки. Полный набор всего необходимого в ванной комнате, включая халаты и профессиональный фен. Шикарный бассейн, над которым склоняются ветви деревьев и цветы падают в воду.

Мы брали номер в главном корпусе с собственным бассейном. Для нас он идеален, но если вам нужен вид из окон - выбирайте номера в новом здании. Ну и близость к природе означает что насекомые и гекконы вполне могут к вам заглянуть :)

I recently stayed at this villa, a place I used to love when it was under previous ownership in 2020. Back then, the service was amazing and it quickly became one of our favorite getaways. When I returned for vacation, I thought it would be a great idea to revisit. Sadly, this turned out to be the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Upon check-in, the receptionist briefly went over a few things like this is the tv, this is the balcony, this is the bathroom etc but never once mentioned the 1.checkout time (which should be standard procedure, even though it’s stated during the online booking), 2.No visitors allowed, 3.premises locked after 10 PM, etc. The real issue started when my parents came by to visit us for a short while. It was drizzling, and they weren’t even planning to stay — just to see us for about an hour or two. However, the receptionist refused to let them inside the building. She insisted we could only speak to them outside and even began setting up a table in the rain. We tried to explain the situation calmly, but she wouldn’t listen and acted with zero empathy. It was humiliating and completely disrespectful, both to us and our parents who were also very upset. Later that night, we got hungry and ordered some food around 2 AM. When the Uber Eats driver arrived, he said the gate was locked and there was no security guard in sight — something that’s unheard of at any properly run hotel or villa. We tried to open the smaller gate, but it was also locked. We called their hotline multiple times, and when someone finally picked up, they asked us irrelevant questions like what we ordered and from where, instead of simply helping us get our food. Eventually, someone brought us the food, and before he left, we asked for plates — but he never came back. We were completely ignored. The next morning, we woke up around 10:30 AM, assuming checkout was at 12 PM (as is standard in most places). While getting ready, at around 11:30, the receptionist started banging on our door. When we opened it, she rudely told us that we were late and had to leave. We finished getting ready and stepped out around 12:15 Before leaving, I explained to one of the employees that if the receptionist had informed us of the 11 AM checkout, we would’ve left on time. He politely apologized on her behalf. Suddenly, a man not dressed as staff or management (just in a t-shirt and trousers, not even wearing shoes) walked up and aggressively asked what the issue was. He didn’t introduce himself, but he started arguing with me, claiming he had worked in star hotels in Sri Lanka and abroad, and that this villa follows the same rules. Honestly, we didn’t need to know where he worked or what hotels he’s been in. We paid our own money and came here just to enjoy our stay. When I said this was the worst experience and I would leave a review, he challenged me. He spoke to me with zero respect, shouting at me in front of staff, even though I was a paying guest — and a woman who deserved basic courtesy. If he really had experience in five-star hotels, he should’ve known how to speak respectfully, no matter the situation. To make it worse, the receptionist who had caused all the issues was nowhere to be found hiding, instead of being accountable. This was the worst hotel experience of my entire life. Please don’t go to this villa. It used to be a beautiful, welcoming place under the old management. The previous staff were kind and even allowed visitors when we stayed before. We had no idea the ownership had changed, and that’s why we chose it again — a mistake we’ll never repeat. The property itself is beautiful, but the current management has completely ruined it. The property is not maintained like it was under the previous owners. The lights in the plunge pool area don’t work at night — we had to use torches instead. We will never return to this place again and I highly recommend others avoid it too.

Breakfast was very good - option of Sri Lankan or 'English' breakfast. Very nice and plentiful. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was fabulous, very spacious and comfortable for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.

Whilst food is available throughout the day, the options are limited for evening meals/dinner. We only ate in the hotel restaurant on one evening of our 5 night stay. All other evenings we ate in Galle as the variety of options was great. I think we would have done this irrespective, as we wanted to see more of the region.
