The Nest Boutique Hostel

Das Hostel liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums nahe der Salthill Prommenade. Sehr schön zu Fuß zu erkunden. Mit dem Bus ist man schnell im Zentrum. Ich war in einem gemischten 6er-Zimmer. Duschen und Toiletten für die Gemeinschaft. Aber immer sauber und gut belüftet. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders toll war das frische Körnerbrot zum Frühstück.

Dafür kann das Hostel nichts, aber die Mitbewohner waren leider nicht sehr hygienisch. Einer roch, als hätte tagelang nicht geduscht und war super erkältet. An Schlaf war leider nicht zu denken 😐

Etwas ausserhalb des Stadzentrums. Eine kleine Ablagefläche bei den Bunkbeds oder einen Hacken um etwas aufzuhängen wäre gut gewesen.

Walkable to a lot of the local places. Very cleans. Staff was very friendly.

Not a lot of parking but that seems to be everywhere. Breakfast could be a little better since it around so many bakery’s. We opted out of breakfast and just went to local bakery’s.

Im Stadtteil Salthill gibt es genügend Restaurants und Pubs, ein Kino und eine Veranstaltungshalle in der ein traditioneller Irischer Abend geboten wird (Trad at the Prom - sehr empfehlenswert). Das Zentrum von Galway ist allerdings etwas weit entfernt. Es gibt gratis Parkplätze, aber die können knapp werden.

Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were ver helpful and provided us with additional towels when requested. The little cage attached was also lovely and did very good coffee, cakes and toasties. The location was also very good for the main pubs and restaurants of Salthill.

A mirror in the actual bedroom would have been handy. There was just one in the bathroom which made it difficult for us both to use at the same time.

Private bed facilities with curtains, light, plug sockets and bathroom in the room. Plenty of kitchen and lounge facility and breakfast option. Car parking to the front was much appreciated.

It was clean and not far to walk downtown for some wonderful food and pubs. There was good signage for rules like labeling your food just didn't see anything about not being able to access the fridge when we left early. Felt so secure with swipe keys for the floor and there room...it was fantastic.

The woman at reception didn't tell us that the lift doesn't work at night and that we couldn't get in to get our items or if the fridge early in the morning. We would have taken or drinks to our room with us if we'd known.

Die Lage. Alles war gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Ausstattung es fehlte ein Föhn und ein Wasserkocher. Stattdessen gab es ein Kühlschrank.

The breakfast was fabulous. Great value! French press coffee made me very happy. The bedding was comfortable. The shower was great pressure/temperature. The cafe area is lovely to hang out. the little candy on the towel (and there was a towel!) is a lovely touch. The staff were very sweet and helpful with my questions. Very handy to O'Connors (the Best Pub) which really was very cool and unique with excellent live music. I enjoyed walking along the waterfront to the Spanish quarter. The bus was quite easy to the train station. The decor of the cafe/common area was super lovely.

There is nowhere to put "stuff" in the bunk bed, and a big space between wall and mattress - I was worried I was going to drop something on the person sleeping below and that the light would be a bother when I came in after they were already tucked in.

Amazing price per value, exactly what we needed for a one night stay and good rest. Very cozy, super nice staff, a direct bus from the train station to come and go to/from town center.

Pour les personnes désirant se restaurer, il y a une cuisine où vous pouvez cuisiner et se servir du four, du frigo…etc . Personnel très sympathique . Le petit déjeuner est à réserver la veille , il est correct pour 8€. Nous avons aimé aussi La possibilité de se garer devant l’hôtel.

La chambre était petite ainsi que la SDB Et le lit. Ne convient pas si vous avez besoin de vous reposer après un voyage.

Very comfy room, shared bathroom was very small but functional. 8 euro buffet breakfast was much appreciated. All staff very friendly and helpful. Latin quarter is just a quick taxi or bus ride away. Would recommend for a budget conscious but comfortable stay in Galway!

Das Hostel liegt sehr günstig. Salthill ist quasi um die Ecke. Nach Gallway geht man gemütlich so 20 Minuten zu Fuss. Wir haben Frühstück dazu gebucht. Dieses war einfach, aber sehr lecker und ausreichend. Sehr positiv ist die Gemeinschaftsküche. Man darf selber kochen oder einfach nur Brotzeit richten. In der Gemeinschaftsküche ist ein Kühlschrank für die Allgemeinheit. Weiterhin gibt es eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner.

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein. Es gibt wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten. Gerade im Bad fehlen Hacken oder Regale, um seine Utensilien unterzubringen. Parkplätze sind leider auch begrenzt, aber man kann in der näheren Umgebung gut an der Strasse parken.

Staff was friendly. Location is close to the city center. Lounge looked cute, but we were situated in the building next door - so can't say too much about it.

Our double room was in a separate building next to the main entrance. It was small, rather dark, and had almost no space for luggage, with a bed that was short and narrow too. What bothered us most, however, was how thin the walls were: we could hear other guests' faucets and were woken repeatedly by the loud main entrance door. All these things might be acceptable for a hostel, but not at the price we paid here. Sadly, we can't recommend this place.

The Nest was a fabulous find for my family and I. Our specific access needs were well catered for, and exceeded expectations. My sons are disabled and we needed disabled parking, a twin room with adapted bathroom, with level access via a lift. My wife and I had a double room, also ensuite, along the corridor. Both rooms, and the whole hostel, were spotlessly clean, yet complemented with a homely, loft-style decor. Optional continental breakfast is available and affordable at £8 a head. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful making our stay easy and pleasurable. I'd recommend it and will stay again if visiting Galway.

La scala per il letto di sopra è un po' scomoda e le tendine si staccano facilmente. Non ci sono appendi abiti in camera. Gli armadietti sono piccolini

It was all great!

Staff was very welcoming and helpful with any questions. Rooms, bathroom and kitchen all very clean. As a parkrunner I wanted a later check out time, so i could take a shower after, and for a very reasonable price this was no problem at all. I would suggest a few hooks and a stool in the bathroom to hang/lay clothes and towels and some hooks in the room for the same reason.

La ubicación es buena, muy cerca de la playa, en Salthill aunque un poco alejado del centro. El personal encantador. Muy limpio.

La habitación familiar que consta de dos habitaciones más un baño, realmente es muy justa para una familia. Casi no hay espacio. El baño minúsculo y súper incómodo. Excesivamente caro para esta estancia. El desayuno regular tirando a mal.

Sauberes Zimmer und gute Lage für den Preis

In der Buchung steht "Parkplatz inbegriffen". Wenn andere Autos aber auf dem Parkplatz vor dem Hotel stehen, hat man Pech gehabt und muss sein Gepäck durch die Gegend schleppen. Habe extra nach einem Hotel mit Parkplatz gesucht. Das war hier ein bisschen eine Marketinglüge.

The staff very friendly, the hostel very cosy, kitchen very clean and always sobre free treats fue the guests.

I got a bed in a shared bedroom and the gustes arriving late at night with not respect for people who was slepping.

The twin room was very small. The bathroom tiny. The hostel is on a busy street. The breakfast was very poor. In the night we could hear doors slamming in the corridor.

Kleines, nettes Hostel, nicht weit weg von der Strandpromenade. Galway ist zu Fuß sehr gut erreichbar. Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche, in der man rund um die Uhr Tee und Kaffee kochen kann und Limonaden zur Verfügung stehen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

(Keine Kritik - nur Anmerkung: Das Badezimmer ist sehr schön aber extrem klein.)

La struttura è bella, silenziosa, giovanile e con stile. Noi avevano una camera matrimoniale con bagno privato, bella, pulita e con stile (aveva anche il filo di lucine su 3 lati del muro della camera, che puoi tenere acceso o spento). Letto comodo, con doppi cuscini. Bagno piccolo, funzionale. Doccia media. Doccione d'acqua disponibile in cucina e puoi utilizzare la cucina per cucinarti qualcosa. Personale gentile. La zona è un può fuori dal centro ma in 25 minuti lo puoi raggiungere a piedi.

Un peu bruyant, il faisait chaud, nous avons dormi la fenêtre ouverte, beaucoup de circulation dans la rue.

So pleased with our choice here, it completely exceeded expectations. The place felt much more like a hotel than a hostel. We had 2 of the private rooms, they were of a reasonable size, spotlessly clean and came with a mini fridge which was handy. Bathroom is small but sufficient, very good shower. The Nest is brilliantly located just a short distance from either the seafront or an area full of coffee shops, pubs etc. and only a short walk into the main city centre. Free parking if you can grab one of the 5 spaces! Failing that other free parking is only around the corner. Nice set up with the shared kitchen, we never used it but it was clearly well equipped and useful for grabbing a complimentary tea/coffee/water. We had the breakfast one morning which was convenient, and good value at 8EUR. Comfortable area for lounging around with a beer/wine in the evening. Staff were really friendly and helpful with recommendations for food/entertainment. Would go back in a flash.

Very well-run hostel. I have stayed in loads and you can tell when a place knows what it is doing. Comfy beds, great breakfast and nice staff. Salthill is a good neighbourhood. Lots of pubs nearby.

Not particularly cheap, but it's good value.

Buscábamos un alojamiento con parking y este lo tenía, aunque solo tiene 5 plazas + 1 de discapacitados, aunque hay aparcamiento en las inmediaciones. Zona tranquila y alojamiento silencioso.

La ubicación, algo apartada del centro (20 minutos a pie). La persona que nos atendió al llegar fue bastante borde y casi lo primero que hizo fue cobrarnos el desayuno del día siguiente (8€ por persona). No lo tomamos el segundo dia porque es bastante básico y no vale la pena. Estábamos alojados en una habitación doble con baño privado, que era extremadamente estrecho, el wc no estaba bien anclado al suelo y se movia al sentarse y el extractor era muy ruidoso.

Esta bien ubicado, se puede ir andando una media hora hasta la estación de bus y de tren. A 15min del centro, playa a 5min.
