The lifts don't really get to your floor. There are many steps to be negotiated in between, which are nor easy with heavy luggage

De kamer was klein, oud en aftands. De badkamer was echt goor zo vies. Hele vieze bruine en zwarte voegen. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding klopt totaal niet € 200,- voor een dergelijke smerige kamer zonder ontbijt is buitensporig duur. Absolluut geen aanrader. Ik zou dan liever een ander hotel uitkiezen.

The room location. We were right at the front. The noise from the bars carried on until around 4am. I got around 3 hours sleep my first night which left me in bad form for the next day and second night stay.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026This is a traditional long established hotel. The location in the town centre is very convenient but we were not disturbed by noise. We had a lovely modern and well furnished room overlooking the River Eske. Although there was no Air Conditioning the room was cool as we were able to keep the window open. Although the hotel doesn't have parking there is a large cheap public car park a few minutes away. The staff are very friendly and efficient and could not have been more helpful in organising the return of an important item which we had left behind.

De gehorigheid van zowel leveranciers (we zaten aan de achterkant van het hotel) ' s morgens als andere hotelgasten. Stemmen van direct nabijgelegen kamers waren helaas goed hoorbaar.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Everything was excellent and far beyond our expectations — the location, staff, breakfast, facilities, restaurant food, and the river view. We also appreciated the many parking options in the nearby streets, which were often more convenient than the large car park by the river.
If I had to point out one drawback, it would be the lack of a fan / air conditioning. This summer has been unusually hot, and we had to choose between keeping the window closed, or leaving it open and putting up with the noise outside — especially from late-night partygoers and the very early morning trash collection.

It's a decent 3 star hotel not trying to be anything else, great location in centre of town, seemed to be plenty of food options (we didn't try due to bookings elsewhere. Overall very happy.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026It was a good location handy to everything and staff were very friendly rooms where clean tidy and spacious. The view from the room was lovely and it was nice and quite too. Getting in at night too if u were out after the doors closed was good and quick and the door man was very pleasant too.
The only down side was rooms where very warm but that had probley something to do with the heat wave dat we had on our vist and sun shining through the window all day other than close the curtains all day to try keep heat out but that is all I can say.
