Great bar and restaurant free entertainment every night another 5 or 6 good bars with 200 yards Second stay this year

Location was perfect centre of town , quiet, comfortable rooms

Check in process was slow with only one person on the desk.

Hotel in centre of town. Food was great.

No iron or ironing board supplied in room.

Breakfast could have more choice. Hash browns Bacon bit overcooked Perfect location for around town

We liked. The location.

The rooms were too basic. No wardrobe, no air con, no water in the room, no space in the bathroom to put toiletries, very small bath towels, no tissues, no teaspoons , no fridge. Very hard to get into room using key.

The location and the food

The hotel was clean but it would need upgrades in some areas doors to bedrooms have a key lock which was very difficult to open, I have bad arthritis in hands and now this week they are very painful from trying to open the door.

Extremely extremely noisy. Got ONE physical room key for a triple room. Very little security late at night, anyone could walk into the hotel and up to the rooms - not stopped by any member of staff. Random fire alarm at 3am

On booking.com I reserved the night stay for £148 sterling but was charged £160 when paying at reception. Was also charged over £26 euro for a rum and a gin with 1 sprite when I was charged £18 euro for same order in pub across the road which also included a Diet Coke as well.

It was a central location

Very loud. But we wanted to be central so this was to be expected.

Conveniently located in the main diamond of Donegal town and close to everything! Although we didn't try it, there is a restaraunt on site and they allow access to the pool at their sister hotel's facility.

I didn't like that there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel which is the only bus stop in the square so at all hours of the day there are hoards of people lined up outside or loitering in the door ways making it near impossible to get in our out of the building and it also makes it feel a little unsafe. Additionally, the beds are awful, we were there for two nights and could not sleep because of how uncomfortable they were.

Our bedroom door got stuck and we couldn’t get in and the maintenance man had to come to let us in we had to change rooms then

Beds were very hard and not the comfiest. Also the bed had stains over it when I accidentally pulled the sheet back thinking it was part of the duvet

Estaba sucio. Nada más entrar en el acceso a los ascensores olía fatal, las moquetas y el papel de las paredes de la habitación olían a rancio y la ropa de cama sucia. Las almohadas con manchas amarillas y pelos. Creo que es el peor hotel donde me he alojado en mi vida y a 208€ la noche.

Hotel clean and well kept. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Heating was on and was uncomfortably hot for end of August. Had expected breakfast to be included in price at €186

Sauberes Hotel, mitten im Zentrum von Donegal. Die Pubs liegen direkt gegenüber. Parkplätze sind fußläufig vom Hotel entfernt, maximal 300m. Sehr nettes Personal und ausgiebiges Frühstück. Geräumige, saubere Zimmer mit ausreichend Platz.

Hasn’t changed since I was there about 35 years ago but grand , could do with a new refurbishment.

Gas ran out, so paid 32.00 for 2 breakfast which had little or no warm food.

La camera un disastro: molto vecchia con moquette maleodorante e mobili brutti, tenda alla doccia consunta, letto e materasso improponibile, la vista dalla finestra consisteva in una corte interna di 3 mq con il tubo della cappa della cucina a 40 cm da essa... cattivi odori e rumori tutto il giorno... meno male ci siamo rimasti solo 2 notti.

There was a bad smell in the hallways leading from my room and the carpet did not look very clean, I could still smell that horrible smell in the bar very off putting

The room we were in was beside fans going all nights and the smell of food wasn't very nice also our window didn lock which didn help the decor was very old and dated

Very noisy. Bars and clubs were right next door so people gathered and chatted loudly until 3am underneath our window.

A very friendly place and so central for exploring the town and surrounding area. Entertainment was excellent. Wish I could have stayed longer despite the heavy rain.

The heat in the hotel and room was too 😫 it was not a sunny day either. I turned the radiator in the room off and opened the window but it was still difficult to sleep. A fan would be helpful in the room.

Location was ideal & all the staff very friendly & so helpful. The bar had live music every evening . The food in the restaurant was lovely and there was a good choice of menu.

The rooms were lovely but a bit too warm. This didn’t impact our stay though

Great location right on the town center. Comfortable room.

Was disappointed in the restaurant. Couldn’t order appetizer until we ordered dinner, giving us no time to enjoy a cocktail and peruse the menu. Offered only one small slice of bread and refused to let us have more. Food was very pedestrian. This is supposed to be a high class restaurant but we were very disappointed. Waitress was unhelpful.

All’interno è un po’ buio e si sentiva l’odore della moquette. È un po’ impersonale e molto frequentato, dato che ospita un pub e un ristorante.

Central location

Location was great. Market House Restaurant which is connected, was fabulous - best food we've had on our whole holiday. Cleaning staff seemed great - shower was spotless and we had do not disturb on and they left us a bag with extra loo roll and coffee etc.

Bed was very uncomfortable! Sink was blocked. Pub area wasn't great. Coffee in room was terrible.

Location

Wonderful stay in the heart of Donegal. Rooms were spacious, good beds. The hotel has a restaurant and bar that also serves very good food and with live music in the evening. The breakfast was a large buffet serving the full Irish breakfast, but also yoghurt, fruit, cereal, various types of bread and croissants. All was great! Plenty of spaces at nearby public parking lots. Between 09:00-18:00 it’s €0,50 an hour. But since we were away all day we hardly paid anything for parking.
