Reasonably good quality hotel with excellent service/price ratio

Would love to have more improvements for breakfast

We didn’t get a baby cot which made me crazy. But there was a guy at the reception who did his best with various options and suggestions. They moved the bed, added pillows. I believe he deserves a bonus :)

Kids playground should be cleaned! And for gods sake buy more baby beds

Super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Man hat sich sehr Willkommen gefühlt und Wünsche wurden fast bevor man sie hatte schon erfüllt. Toller Wellnessbereich mit sehr guter Massage und einem Pool im obersten Stock. Wir haben auch den Waschservice genutzt, da unsere Wandverkleidung vom Jungle sehr dreckig war. Die Sachen kamen perfekt sauber und gefaltet zurück.

Einige Essensportionen fürs Abendessen waren doch recht klein.

We extended our stay for another three nights. The Reception team continued their excellent hospitality. Aurell from the Front Office deserves special mention. She checked us in efficiently and professionally. She continued her friendly and helpful manner throughout our total 6 nights stay. The Security team also deserved recognition. They assisted us with traffic management when we needed to cross the road, always with our safety in mind. At the same time, the Bellhops, housekeeping and restaurant staff continued to provide the same warm, attentive and helpful service throughout our extended stay. It is this consistency across the different teams that has made our experience so enjoyable and has given us every reason to return.

Room could be brighter.

La comodidad de la cama, el personal, la piscina, los servicios del hotel, el desayuno. La amabilidad de nuestra recepcionista Ocha, siempre con una sonrisa y practicando su español. La amabilidad y eficiencia del conductor que nos recogió eb el aeropuerto y nos llevó a Borobudur.

La comida del restaurante no nos gustó tanto. El cristal de la piscina con vistas a la ciudad podrían limpiarlo. Para moverse andando es un poco complicado, como en toda Indonesia es mejor hacerlo en transporte.

From the moment we checked in, we were impressed by how welcoming, friendly and helpful everyone was. From the bellhops and reception team to housekeeping and the restaurant staff, the level of service was consistently warm, attentive and professional. Vivi from the restaurant deserves a special mention. She was exceptional in her hospitality—warm, attentive and very helpful, and her useful information and recommendations made our stay even more enjoyable. She and her team’s service went beyond what we would normally expect. Another person who stood out was the housekeeping supervisor. He took care of our housekeeping requests promptly and efficiently, always pleasant. This warmth and willingness to help was not limited to a few individuals—it was evident across the hotel. A big thank you to the entire team for making us feel so well looked after.

The bathroom facilities were very good. Special gluten free food was provided. Staff were helpful in arranging transport and directing us to a nearby dentist.

We just stayed for a night, good clean and comfortable room. The location was good, walking distance to key points of the city.

Restaurant: food wasn’t good. A lot of the options weren’t available and the quality and taste wasn’t what we were expecting. Would recommend eating somewhere else.

Nice, tidy and clean. Food in the cafe and room service is as nice too. Staff were lovely. Location not far from lots of restaurants and mall.

Friendly and professional staffs, providing useful advice. For example, to introduce local gourmet restaurant and to make reservation for us.

The restaurant in the hotel itself does not provide dinners up to its scale. Luckily, the hotel’s location is quite convenient for us to reach other places / restaurants and to have better dinner experience.

Great experience. Very comfortable room, big with nice bed. The personnel is extremely nice and welcoming, especially Ocha from reception. Nice pool on the top floor.

Breakfast could've been better

The place was a very pleasant surprise. Spacious rooms, very good breakfast and a nice pool with not that many people. The gym is not big, but have some machines you need for workout.

There are not that many good restaurants around. And the hotel is located a bit away from the city center.

The breakfast was okay. It could have improved for taste. Variety wise is good enough. As for the room, everything is perfect except for the shower towels. They are a bit yellowish.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The staff were wonderful - very friendly, attentive, and always doing their best to make guests feel welcome. The food was also excellent, and the chefs were very attentive to each guest’s preferences and always tried to prepare something that suited them personally. We also had a very good massage at the hotel, which made our stay even more relaxing. Overall, it is an excellent hotel, and we would happily stay here again!

The only small difficulty was communication in English when arranging the massage. It took quite a bit of time to explain everything to the spa administrator, and we eventually needed some help with translation. However, everyone was friendly and tried their best to help.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Il était même trop court. La chambre et le lit était grand et très confortable. Le petit déjeuner très copieux et diversifié. La piscine, jouxte la salle de sport mais surtout se trouve sur le rooftop avec un resto-bar très abordable. Le personnel a été d’une grande gentillesse et d’un grand professionnalisme nous avons d’ailleurs beaucoup aimé le thé de bienvenue. Nous recommandons.

Der Verkehr in Yogja ist für europäische Verhältnisse sehr abenteuerlich. Die Straßen sind immer voll und meistens laut. Die Hotelzimmer konnten die Verkehrslautstärke nur zum Teil absorbieren. Es ist auszuhalten, aber zu erwähnen.

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly, responsive, and professional. The decor and overall appearance exceeded my expectations. The process for booking the room and checking out was streamlined.

The lighting in the room leaves shadowy places. For example, the bathroom lighting is not conducive to applying makeup. While it is bright in the bathroom overall, there is no direct light from the mirror to illuminate the face when applying make up and more.

My expetancies are low at the beginning since my wife booked this hotel for our jogja trip. But then then i found out that the room is spacious and superclean, shout out to Mr.Riskan fromt he HK Dept for the great work, also Mr.Effendy whom very informative. The bellman and the securIty guard are also superfriendly, FO Team are amazing! We had our early check ins and got upgraded ❤️ so lovely! Thank you guys, specially Ms.Ocha is very helpful, Ms.Aulia and Ms.Nisa as well. The Hotel GM Mr.Denny Jatnika surely put some effort on maintaining the service quality of the hotel. Hatur nuhun katampi pisan for the wonderful welcome letter and cake, it's a very thoughtful of you, sehat2 selalu Pak Denny 🙏 The FB Service team also proactive and helpful, shout out to Mr.Hari and the team (the trainee also helpful and friendly). ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the most memorable hotel stays for my family in Yogyakarta! ❤️ The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything felt perfect from the moment we checked in. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, and we truly felt at home during our stay. The rooftop area was absolutely amazing with beautiful views of the city. It became one of our favorite spots in the hotel to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of Indonesian and Western food. Everything was fresh and delicious. Honestly, if there were 10 stars available, I would be the first guest to give this hotel 10 stars! 😍 What impressed us the most was the hospitality of all the staff. Every employee was genuinely friendly, warm, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. A very special thank you to the receptionist who kindly accompanied my daughter, Queena, to make bracelets and necklaces at the playground area before we checked out. She was so patient, caring, and sweet, making Queena feel very happy and special. Before leaving, we even took photos together with the staff in the lobby. It felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being welcomed by family. I have stayed at many hotels, but this was the first time I experienced such warm, personal, and heartfelt service. Wow! ❤️ The hotel is also in a very strategic location, making it easy to visit tourist attractions, malls, and restaurants around Yogyakarta. The only small suggestion would be to have a dedicated kids’ swimming pool, as families with young children would enjoy it even more. However, this did not reduce our overall experience at all. Thank you Swiss-Belboutique Yogyakarta for making our family holiday so special and memorable. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yogyakarta. Stafnya luar biasa, cekatan, tanggap dan berusaha betul untuk membantu. Mulai dari satpam, resepsionis sampai housekeeping, bahkan teknisi pun semuanya sangat amat berusaha membantu memastikan masa menginap saya nyaman.

Some staff had no English I came across a few who had no idea at all what I was trying to order.. this leads to frustration and the wrong order...the menu is in English.. The restaurant sells no alcohol but u can get some upstairs in the pool bar and eat there and room service they charged me 2 service charges for my room service as I ordered alcohol...I questioned it and was told the restaurant doesn't serve alcohol...it was room service not the restaurant.. I got a massage in the wellness suit.. nice lady but very stale approach . Room was so bright curtains wide open no candles no nice smell no good vibes ..it was not a relaxing massage.. needs to be looked at. I was very disappointed.. Internet is so weak can't download anything.. but thats all hotels in Indonesia. Got a taxi organised by hotel that took me to the wrong train station..luckily I had enough time to go to the one I needed.. Over all besides the language barrier it's a nice clean well located hotel ..

The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good variety that changed daily and caters more to Asian tastes. The continental selection could be improved slightly. The location, however, is exceptional and very convenient.

We stayed in the family suite. The coffee machine wasn’t working, and although there were many cabinets, they were all empty—no plates or utensils were provided. Basic items like trash bags should at least be included. Overall, the functionality of the shared spaces in the family suite feels unclear.

Swiss-belboutique Yogyakarta So, firstly: Where is Mr Eko?? Yes, and odd way to begin but stay with me. First things first. My wife and I stayed here 07 April for four nights bed and breakfast. We were in room 501. Back to the odd opening. I want to reuse a particular paragraph from that 2022 review (including my spelling and grammatical errors) ; ‘..Reception, front of house - 10 out of 10; Mr Ekko, front services / front of house manager keeps this in perfect balance. If the occasion presents itself do (if his and your time permits) speak with Mr Ekko – my experience of chatting with Mr Ekko left me in know doubt: Mr Ekko is both very astute and very kind; extremely approachable and consistently efficient in his maintaining high standards both at front of house and I believe the dining area is also his responsibility…’ So: All reviews I do take time and in my case lots of observations of the hotel and staff during any stay we have. I don’t write bad reviews – too complex re evidence and factual detail and mostly I don’t do them because I do a lot of research before booking. The reviews I do write generally are very good – accurate – and true reflections of our experiences. Since 2022 many things have changed but I was half hoping to find this hotel pretty much as I left it in 2022. So, you say: ‘get to the point, please!’ Our stay this time was NOT bad, nor was there any truly abysmal failures by any staff nor do I have any pointed criticisms to be listed (well maybe one: THAT CONSTANT SELF PRAISING video in the lifts and in the roof top bar about the global success of this hotel group: management; PLEASE remove it immediately from all lifts and the roof top bar; it is doing the exact opposite to what you think it is doing!). No, the issue is there is no longer and sense of the ‘togetherness’ I wrote of in 2022. I am sorry but this matters to me and I suspect others. Everyone there at this hotel are going through ‘the motions’ of Indonesian hospitality which, from our Indonesian travels and friends now in this region we have established such hosts are unique for their love, their welcome and connectivity. This cannot be delivered half heartedly. It is painful to say this but this hotel has lost, somewhere along the way, since 2022, something very important – something I am very sensitive to – it has lost essence of being which was so very, very evident in 2022. Back to ‘Where is Mr Eko??; You can see from my 2022 review the centrality, in my then stay, of Mr Eko and I suspect his loss has actually affected where this hotel now finds itself: fragmented. Senior management: ask yourself, please, how this reviewer can go from such a glowing review in 2022 to this review today which in real terms is flat and disappointing and really has nothing truly to showcase. I did – being the kind of traveller, reviewer I am – track down Mr Eko at his current hotel (I won’t) name it since this review is not about that hotel, however, Mr Eko REMEMBERED me from 2022 and we had a lovely chat! In conclusion. This hotel was effective and efficient but due to my previous stay and knowledge of it, this second stay will be my last I am afraid; it has somehow lost what was once a truly winning, warming, welcoming and absorbing identity. Maybe poach back Mr Eko!? 😊
