Very comfy big bed. Loved the roomy couch also.

The room was cold when we got there. We needed help with the TV as the wifi wasn't working.

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable, just steps away from the beach across the beach. The kitchenette was perfect for fixing a meal, and there is even a washing machine.

Although there is a fireplace heater, it struggled to keep the room warm for us. We did come at the end of winter, so I am sure other seasons of the year, this is not a problem.

Clean abd very comfortable cottage. Great bed and shower too.

Our second time there, and the owners remembered us and gave us the room we had before. Also as we had two vehicles they were very accommodating with extra parking. Nice and handy to the beach and very clean.

A shelf in the kitchen area to store food that we brought would be handy but that is the only thing I can think of.

Staff were lovely, room had a cosy feel, good kitchen facilities and good location.

Shower temperature was a bit sensitive

Having to leave

the property was super clean, the location was amazing (you could see both the ocean and the Kaikoura ranges from your window, stunning!). It was pretty quiet, the bed was comfy and the hosts had left some nice touches like milk to get you started and a bunch of blankets.

If you're sensitive to the cold, I'd be aware that there's only one fixed heater in the cottage I was in as well as an electric heating mattress pad. The latter did an amazing job to keep me warm through the night, but outside of the bed I personally was freezing. However, take that with a grain of salt as I've also been freezing in some places up in Auckland at warmer temperatures inside. I didn't reach out to the hosts (so they could have probably done something about it), as I wanted to return to Christchurch sooner anyway.

Nice spot. Good location. Beach accross the road. My husband and I had a wonderful time walking by the beach. Comfortable bed and kitchen had stove top and utensils. The bathroom spacious and clean.

The room was a bit smelly. I sprayed room freshener a few times. Other than that, no issues at all.

Lovely little cottage right beside the beach in Kaikoura. Spotlessly clean and really comfortable bed. We arrived later than planned to find the light and heater on for us, so appreciated as it was a cold night. Definitely recommended, we'll stay here agin.

The only downside was that it was such a flying visit, we would love to have stayed longer and explored more!

The care put into creating a cosy, relaxing stay is evident in every detail.

Because the shower has curtains, the bathroom floor ends up getting wet after each shower.

Nice location with a balance of proximity but also privacy. The cottage was well appointed, roomy while also feeling homely. Communications with the hosts was good.

A couple of basics - I think providing the likes of salt and pepper would be good. All the cooking facilities are there but some basic cooking elements would add that extra touch.

Everything we needed. We even had a sea view down the driveway. We arrived late and the staff kindly left the heater on so nice and warm when we arrived.

Unfortunately there was a quiet dripping noise by the bed in the corner that was regular and continuous.

Great location with an amazing view right outside the door. Perfect for stargazing at night. Would recommend.

This was an amazing place to stay. Room was luxuriously large with a sea view from the kitchen window. It was cosy and had a holiday home feel to it. Great for those wanting a few days away rather than one night like us. Owners were amazing and friendly too.

Super comfortable and had everything we needed! The location was great, just steps from the beach and the owners were very kind and replenished everything every couple days. One of our most comfortable stays in 4 months of travel

Das Cottage befindet sich an ruhiger Lage, nahe dem Strand. Man kann direkt von der Unterkunft aus Wanderungen unternehmen. Kaikoura selbst ist mit dem Auto ebenfalls gut erreichbar. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Besonders geschätzt haben wir die Waschmaschine und die Heizung. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und haben schnell auf Fragen reagiert.

Die Hütten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und sind sehr nahe beieinander, so das die Privatsphäre etwas leidet. Die Sauberkeit könnte noch etwas verbessert werden (schmutzige Vorhänge, Haare im Badezimmer). Zu Beginn hat das WLAN überhaupt nicht funktioniert. Die Gastgeber haben uns dann ein anderes Netzwerk zur Verfügung gestellt, mit welchem die Verbindung besser war.

Just what we were looking for for a quiet retreat in Kaikoura. A detached property within 2 minutes walk straight to the beach. Quiet and comfortable with cooking facilities. Would happily stay again.

Schöne Lage etwas außerhalb aber direkt am Meer. Sehr ruhige Gegend und Anlage. Die neuen Besitzer renovieren und verändern gerade einiges.

Die Außenanlage wirkt etwas vernachlässigt und unaufgeräumt.

Very clean, obliging hosts. The cottages have just changed hands to a young couple who are making excellent changes, I'm sure they will be even better to stay at in the future.

Beds sagging a bit

Er is nieuw management, nieuwe eigenaren. Zij waren bezig met een verbouwing, maar daar hebben we geen last van gehad, ze hielden erg rekening met ons. Self check in ging prima. De nieuwe eigenaar bood ons nog een Nieuw Zeelandse BBQ aan, erg leuk. De locatie is ook prima, aan zee. Wij hadden bungalow 5, met uitzicht op zee. Inrichting en hygiene was prima op orde! 2 nachten verbleven en even helemaal bijgekomen van het reizen.

Große, komfortable Bungalows in ruhiger Lage. Sehr freundlicher Vermieter der uns seinen Weber- Grill zur Verfügung stellte. Die neuen Besitzer der Anlage machen ihre Sache gut: engagiert, freundliche und zupackend.

The property was a short way from the centre of Kaikoura. It was part of a small group of cabins approximately 100 metres from the sea. The cabins are a little tired. The new owners who apparently took over the week we arrived have ambitious plans to refresh them. In truth our cabin was comfortable and some of the ‘white goods’ looked very new. The living / bedroom / kitchen area was spacious and the shower was fine…just what you might need after a day exploring the area or sea around Kaikoura. I have no doubt feeling the enthusiasm radiating from the owners that they will do a great job over the winter season progressively bringing the units up to date. This is a great location, the cabins are pretty good as they are, don’t imagine you will have a bad stay today but I think they will be very good next summer. Make sure you have a beer or a meal at the Strawberry Tree in the village centre And the Bus Stop cafe for breakfast and coffees. Lovely people in both places!!

There was nothing…they are great cabins in need of a gentle refresh which will be done very soon by the very enthusiastic new owners. Go…support them now and go again when it’s all finished. And you know Kaikoura is worth the visit.

Super Lage nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt und abseits vom Trubel in Kaikoura. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, saubere Unterkunft, Küchenausstattung zweckmässig. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Peninsula Walk.

Very comfortable bed and we were lucky enough to have the cottage which faced down the driveway towards the sea so had a nice view too. Quiet area so no noise at night. Lots of space and comfortable sofa to relax on. Loved the two resident cats!

Just 2 of everything in the way of crockery and cutlery, meaning you needed to wash up regularly and nothing to use for serving anything extra like snacks or salads with a meal. It didn't spoil our stay though.

Was a little further away from the centre of town than expected

A fantastic place. Everything you need with attention to detail.. Very quiet and well off today road. The beach is just down the drive and over the road. Hosts very welcoming and take pride in their cottages.

Location opposite the beach in Kaikoura was great. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Second time that we've stayed here.

It was perfect for our little stay- comfy bed and felt private

It was exactly what we needed and were looking for. We're definitely going back. The location was great, being that close to South Bay was superb. The amenities were exactly as expected for a 3-star accommodation so very pleased. We went SCUBA diving for the week that we stayed and we had access to a hose to clean our gear post dives. Plus we were able to cook our catch on the gas barbecue outside. It was an adult only accommodation which was excellent! Also, they had two very lovely cats, Luna and Dasha.

There wasn't really anything that I didn't like. The hosts were great. The location was excellent. The accommodation was great. I guess if I had to choose something, the shower pressure could've been better but it wasn't a make or break at all.

Abbiamo soggiornato 1 notte in questo adorabile bungalow, situato di fronte al mare nella meravigliosa penisola di Kaikoura. La camera è veramente spaziosa, ben pulita, dotata di cucina, lavatrice e stendino. Ottimo il parcheggio di fronte alla camera. Proprietaria super gentile e disponibile, consigliatissimo!

A relaxing stay at a great location. The cottage was well equipped, clean and sunny with a view of the sea. Will return to stay at our next visit to Kaikōura.

Le bungalow, fonctionnel, bien équipé et propre. La gentillesse à l’accueil et du personnel.

Wir waren ohne Auto unterwegs uns GUS hat uns vom Bus abgeholt und auch wieder hingefahren. Wir hatten zwei tolle Tage mit Whale Watching und einen Spaziergang um die Halbinsel herum, zum Seehunde gucken.
