The property was easy to find, downtown, close to everything. It was very comfortable and peaceful. It includes a lovely braai area and the accommodation was very spacious, neat and tidy. The hosts were very kind, friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay.

The owner was very friendly and welcomed us so well. The children were very happy with the jungle gym and swings.

Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang und der Ort ist authentisch. Kein wirklicher Touristen-Ort, sondern einfach Durchreise. Dafür sehr genial und mit Salzwassserpool!

This was a return visit. A very reasonably priced, scrupulously clean accommodation. The staff were all fantastic when I had a small accident and looked after me impeccably. Very thankful and impressed.

Nothing for me, at all. Everything needed for a comfortable holiday, on hand.

We stayed in the family apartment, its was very spacious and had an excellent outdoor seating area with braai. Electric blankets on all the beds were much appreciated as it was cold at night.

We kwamen hier maar voor 1 nacht maar hadden hier nog langer willen blijven. Een zeer vriendelijke host! Fijn dat we een wasje konden draaien en de droger mochten gebruiken. Echt een pareltje van een verblijf.

Beautiful little cottage, well equipped and cozy

Location is at a stop street and pnn busy road with noisy golf's and cortical with big exhaust pipes. I couldn't sleep and left. The manager was extehelpfull and apologized and asked me if he could assist with so where more quiet. I appreciated that.

We were a group of 4 couples. This place accommodated us all with a great braai area to eat together. The host Sterna was extremely helpful.

Everything was Great, there was nothing to dislike , except for the fact I wish I would have booked for longer , planning to go back in June for a longer stay

The host was lovely who met us and showed us around, the kids play area and pool and outside break facilities were great.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the fan they had in the room sounded like an airplane it was so loud and cheap. the location is also off a main road so its so loud, you just hear trucks and cars all night, so if you are a light sleeper and need silence this place is not for you, then to top it off at 4am a rooster over the road starts crowing, so sleep was non existent for myself and my hubby who shared a room.

All was good tks . Booking in was great. The gentleman was very friendly and helpful.

Suggestion, maybe the bathroom should have a double layer curtain. Tks

Very clean amazing stay

Very friendly owners, the apartment was very big and nicely equipped for a very affordable price. Can walk by foot around Barrydale from the apartment.

Everything was fabulous, nothing needed improving. Location good and easy to find. Will definitely stay here again

I loved the warm reception I received...it made me feel like I'd arrived home...everything is so perfect it actually made me start googling places to buy there ...I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Barrydale...5 stars from me!!

The place was absolutely spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable and homely. The location was perfect to get to the main road and access routes. Gert our host was really supportive and very accomodating. He gave great suggestions of places to go and visit and spoke with such passion for his love of the area. The bed and facilities were really comfortable and we had a wonderful two night stay, we would love to go back!

If you are staying for a longer stay it would be advisable to check with the property beforehand if you could use a bigger pot to boil rice, or do larger cooking in, as well as any cooking utensils you specifically know you will need. The kitchen supplies was perfect for our stay since it was only two nights, and two of us in the unit so we appreciated it!

The location is very central and hosts were very friendly.

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf die Berge. Zimmer ist gross und geräumig. Ron ist ein netter Gastgeber, der uns noch ein paar Tipps für die Weiterreise mit auf den Weg gegeben hat.

Sehr freundliches und herzliches Willkommen durch Gert. Ländliches Ambiente im Farmhaus Stil. Schöner Vorplatz mit Kamin und Grill. Zweckmäßige Einrichtung für eine Nacht ausreichend

Hier muss einiges renoviert werden. Die Wohnung war ziemlich abgewohnt. Schimmel in den Fugen der Dusche. Mücken im Zimmer. Es gab im Schlafzimmer sogar eine Ameisenstraße, aber das ist nicht ungewöhnlich für solche Objekte. Die Einrichtung entspricht dem angestaubten Charme der 70er. Die Dusche weißt eine Undichtigkeit in Richtung Schlafzimmer auf. Die Elektrifizierung mit kaskadierten Steckdosen fest montiert an den Wänden ist gefährlich und gegen jegliche Norm (Kurzschluss Festigkeit ist nicht gegeben) und irritiert wenn man aus Versehen eine in der Kaskade ausgeschaltet hat, da dann z.b. Nachttisch Leuchten nicht funktionieren. Die Lichtschalter befinden sich außerhalb des Raumes z.b. für Gang und Schlafzimmer und ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ich würde der Wohnung aktuell 2 Sterne statt 3 als Kategorie geben. Anbei einige Bilder

Sandy's Place is the best self-catering accommodation in Barrydale! The facilities are clean and spacious, with an amazing stoep with built-in braai, green lawn and a well-kept swimming pool. Every convenience is thought of by the host...we had coffee, tea, sugar and milk awaiting us, ice in the freezer, insecticide for mosquitoes (if needed), swimming towels, wood & matches & firefighters for the braai, dstv, and much more. The host welcomed us with open arms and even upgraded us (for free) to a bigger unit! I can highly recommend Sandy's place to all travelers, the accommodation is in a league of its own!

facilities were great.. Unit was spotless. The pool area was clean, the braai was very clean and wood was supplied with fire lighters and matches. bathrooms were modern. Overall a great space to rest or spend a few days

The bath didn't seem to have enough water pressure to trigger the gas geyser, but at least there was a lovely shower as well

So many to mention. The room was a lot bigger and nicer than expected. It had a generous size bedroom, ensuite bathroom with shower. It also had an equipped kitchen and dining table. And there was a POOL. This was in an established garden with lovely trees. We also loved the COMFORT of the property. I also have to add, on the morning of departing our car wouldn’t start. Sterna was a godsend. She organised everything for us even the use of her husband’s car to pop into the town.

We didn’t stay long enough.

Clean and great amenities such as a braai area, jungle gym and swing set for the kids. Great location. Close to route 62 restaurants, grocer and other shops. Had a wonderful stay. Hosts/owners are very accommodating. Truly great.

If I had to nitpick, ceiling fan is insufficient in main bedroom to keep cool during the nights and fan in tv room is very loud.

Close to town and main restaurants. Good wi-fi and all required facilities for a spacious and clean affordable self-catering unit, such as a big bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and covered private braai area with complimentary wood. The clean swimming pool was a bonus in the warm Barrydale. What I really appreciated was the special attention of the friendly owner/management, who personally welcomed us and greeted us at our departure.

The road in front of the guesthouse was quite busy, with a few energetic dogs - of course the owner not to be blamed! No parking space for your car behind locked gates, which was a bit stressful.

Location & ease of check in / usage. Pool was great with towels provided.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and we enjoyed the stay. This was our second time that we have booked at Sandy's Place and we have already made a booking for our next stay.. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed a braai with wood supplied by the host.

Friendly & informative host and the accommodation was more than adequate, clean and comfortable.

The only downside was other guests partying late into the night and cars coming and going making a noise outside our window.
