Good breakfast selection. Also had a great view of downtown Honolulu and Diamond Head from the room. Hotel is part of a major mall with a great selection of dining and shopping.

one of the front desk clerk on arrival is not welcoming not smiling or no eye contact .we left one day and expect room to be clean but not done its our 3rd day stay no signs that we dont need it ,so ihave to tell the front for cleaning and towels but they said house keeping is out already.but they just give us clean towel ,.next day they clean after i asked but for no tissue paper replace on the holder.house keeping needs to focus on thier work ..

We’re a local couple who enjoyed a two-night stay at the Hampton Inn. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Pros: Room - clean, quiet, spacious room (#418), recently renovated, comfortable bed. Loved the grab bar and mat in the shower. All hotels should have them! Location - great location away from congested Waikiki and expensive resorts in Ko Olina. Hotel is attached to Ka Makana Alii shopping center with a multitude of dining options. It’s also across the parking lot from Foodland Farms supermarket with a large selection of hot and cold takeout food with everything from sandwiches to local favorites like poke and sushi. Amenities - free breakfast (typical Hampton Inn breakfast with a variety of hot and cold options), free parking. Hotel also has a pool, workout room and laundry facilities, which we did not use. Cons: Location - no beach views or beach access, but Ko Olina is just a short drive away. Breakfast - hot entrees (eggs, sausage, potatoes) were barely warm. Discovered a microwave oven on a table in the seating area too late. Noise - some jet noise, but it didn’t bother us. The jets are not flying directly overhead and it’s not a constant noise. Noise most noticable when walking outside. Tip: bring a refillable water flask and fill up at the water station to the left of the breakfast area. It beats paying $5 for a bottle of water in the sundry area.

Everything, all was as advertised. Great restaurants in walking distance was a plus!

For our last day on the island we chose this hotel to explore away from the tourist areas and was the perfect choice. We had a nice stay and with the hotel under renovation we didn't see any sighs of it. Our room was clean but the public areas could have used more attention. Breakfast was OK, typical Hampton. Great location in the Ka Makana Alii Center with shopping and about 50 different dining experiences a short walk from the hotel and the free parking was a plus. Staff could have been more engaging and better trained on follow through with requests.

Everyone was incredibly friendly. The breakfast and free parking were awesome. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was always clean and the laundry accessibility was an added bonus. Being connected to the mall and so close to shopping was also a bonus. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to all.

It’s right in the middle of the island you can go anywhere within an hour. It’s also located right next to the mall so if you have kids, it’s perfect to just get out and start walking around without feeling like you need to be at the beach. Also has a movie theater connected to it so we saw Moana and minions while we were out there. The continental breakfast is excellent every day there’s something different. They even have a grab and go bagel area where you can grab breakfast and run out to your busy day. The room was incredibly clean every time I walked in, front desk ladies were very nice. The cleaning crew was super sweet. I have a zero complaints! Oh, and you don’t have to pay for parking! There’s also food surrounding you, including Foodland, which has like 1 million options of things to eat!

There is no Jacuzzi.

i like the location, it’s next to a new mall, a lot of fastfood chains, restaurants and shops. Staff are friendly, breakfast is good they even have breakfast to go, and even allowed us to bring breakfast food in our room. They have ice maker, water dispenser and free flowing coffee, tea and hot chocolate which is open 24/7. Hotel is new, kids enjoyed the pool, Rooms are big enough for a family of 4, and of course the free parking! Nothing beats that compared to waikiki where you have to pay roughly $45/night!

Some areas have leak in the ceiling, but they’re fixing it.

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Hampton Inn & Suites Oahu/Kapolei. After a long and exhausting travel day, I was turned away because of their pet policy, despite trying to explain my situation respectfully and professionally. What made this experience far worse was the way staff handled the interaction. I suffer from PTSD, and instead of treating me with compassion or dignity, I was subjected to intrusive personal questioning that felt completely inappropriate and humiliating. Rather than focusing on customer service or trying to help find a solution, the experience quickly became cold, dismissive, and uncomfortable. Hospitality is supposed to mean treating people with basic respect, especially when someone is clearly stressed, displaced, and trying to navigate a difficult situation. Instead, I felt judged, interrogated, and completely unsupported. I understand hotels can have policies, but policies do not excuse poor treatment of human beings. There is a respectful way to communicate with guests, and unfortunately this hotel failed badly in that regard. For anyone traveling with pets, service-related needs, or hidden disabilities, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking here. Hawaii is built on the spirit of aloha, but sadly I experienced none of it at this property.

Breakfast and location were pretty good. My husband loves that he can make his own waffles 🧇. The hotel is around of Mall and a supermarket. We request housekeeping every day and was pretty good. The best was that the parking and Breakfast was free , this is a plus .

From the begging we have problems with the room . It was a very bad odor which I wasn't sure where is coming from, I thought might be the floor. The next day they wash and dry the carpet, but soon as i increased the ac a little bit, the smell was back . Taking with Teeana , we concluded that it the ac , so in the fourth day she sent someone to clean the ac . Yay 🎊 🎈 🎉 problem solved . They offered us another room, but we didn't want to move . Thank you Teeana for the excellent customer service, also Dee and Jesiree . I called Teeana , my hero . 😘😘😘

First, the check in was smooth and the employees on duty displayed much Aloha. I love the location the most of course the free parking can’t beat that. My grandkids loved the pool, I did as well especially the shaded areas. The breakfast was awesome, especially the waffles kids loved it. The dining and lobby area setting is lovely. The all day offer of coffee, hot tea and hot coco was the highlight.

The breakfast was very ordinary. The hot part was disappointing, as was the use of plastic plates and utensils. No kettle in the room was also disappointing.

We were visiting family here and found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and the room very spacious. Breakfast seating was inadequate during our stay because of the its sold out status, but other than that we found the staff friendly and very helpful. The hotel is right next to a very nice mall with lots of food options in the area as well as retail therapy. Would definitely stay here again.

too many lights at night, no blackout curtain, why are hotels not understanding that being unable to darken the room at night from so many many light sources ruins people's sleep?! The light in the bath was very gentle, I appreciate that.

It was close to the mall, it was very clean and very updated! The staff was really nice and welcoming to every guest.

Good location if you don’t want to be in thick of it on Waikiki Beach. Easy to get to major highways for exploring the rest of Oahu. Close enough to the airport and to the historical Pearl Harbor sites. Easy parking and convenient restaurants and a grocery store in the shopping center next door. Breakfast is standard American hotel buffet which is average. The costly laundry facility was a surprise especially when we got to other islands and could wash clothes for much less.

Bed could use a thicker mattress topper, ac hard to control that we ended turning it off, bad oil stain on armchair that we had to put a towel on it to sit. When first checked in, front desk asked if we would like housekeeping every other day or daily; I think hskpg should at lease pick up garbage everyday or there should be some kind of bin on each floor. That way I don’t mind having hskpg every other day. But, for the price, hskpg should be everyday.

Super Lage für alle die etwas in Flughafennähe möchten. Drum herum sind diverse Geschäfte, Supermärkte usw. Kostenloser Parkplatz ist ebenso ein großer Pluspunkt! Der Fitnessraum ist vollkommen ausreichend und klimatisiert. Kaffee, Tee und Schokolade sind unten permanent zu Verfügung. Der Pool ist gut, wird jedoch auch von Kiddies schon spielen gerne genutzt.

In Europa einfach unvorstellbar, in Amerika aber wohl üblich: beim Frühstück gibt's alles auf und in Plastik+ Pappe. Pappteller, Pappschalfen, Platsikbesteck, Plastikbecher usw. Niemand achtet auch darauf, ob ein oder mehrere Pappteller genommen wird, da gigantische Stapel einstehen. Einfach schnell zugreifen und wenn man dabei 3-5 Teller in der Hand hat... Macht nichts.

If you want to avoid the hefty cost and crowding of Honolulu hotels around the holidays, this place is a good choice. It's part of a Macy's-anchored outdoor mall in Kapolei, about a 20 minute drive from Honolulu airport. No problems parking your car, although there are vehicle theft warning signs in the parking lot. No resort fee and you get a passable hot breakfast in the morning. I knocked off one star because 1) the rooms could be cleaner (I found some black hairs in the shower, and housekeeping repeatedly misses them despite my hefty tips), and 2) housekeeping visits every two days to save the hotel money. There is other evidence of penny-pinching in this place - no pads/pens to write, no glasses (only paper cups), and the laundry room is too small and costs $10 to wash & dry. Even worse, you have to invest time to deposit that amount of money in quarters, which is downright silly (just let me feed the machines $10 bills, for heaven's sake!).
