Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The hosts are lovely people and we felt so relaxed. Island View is a beautiful property and as promised we had a stupendous view of Bere Island which was great for cycling. Would definitely come back.

Owner can be unpleasant about late check in (hours seem unrealistic for such a remote location). Beara itself a little disappointing, Dingle it ain't.

I think it was a bit overpriced for the weekend we stayed as it was a bank holiday weekend and it just felt overpriced for the area.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Die ruhige Lage hoch über der kleinen Stadt und trotzdem ist man flußläufig zügig im Zentrum. Dennis als Host mit seinem manchmal derben, irischen Humor und seinem quirligen Kümmern um alle Belange des Aufenthaltes. Der täglich frische Obstsalat. Der solide Wasserdruck beim Duschen. Die Betten und Kissen waren sauber und bequem. Der saubere und geordnete Gesamteindruck im gesamten Haus. Alle waren herzlich, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team! Es ist einfach ein nettes, kleines, inhabergeführtes B&B, aber kein klassisches, anonymes Hotel.
Das sich wiederholende Frühstück bei einem längerem Aufenthalt. Die Unordnung (I am german, Sorry.) hinter dem Haus. Bei sonnigem Wetter hätten wir auf der großen Wiese gerne Sonnenliegen genutzt und den Island View genossen. Wir haben uns mit Stühlen beholfen.

Zimmer riechen schlecht,veraltetes Badezimmer mit schimmligen Duschkabinenfliesenrändern, winziges Waschbecken, Frühstück musste grossteils selbst gemacht werden und abgeräumt werden. Für so wenig Service und solche Zimmer ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Sorry. Sehr schade. Wir würden es nicht weiterempfehlen

The host, Denis, has hit the right level of friendly without being too intrusive so it's a very comfortable spot for a female solo traveller. Do not leave without trying Denis' homemade brown bread in the morning, still warm from the oven.

A short walk to downtown where there are several restaurants/pubs, a supermarket, a convenience store, and a great laundry service. My room was quite large with views of the harbor and a bed bigger than Texas. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices.
No complaints whatsoever.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026excellent location only 5 mint to the harbour and town Denis the host welcomed us on arrival and explained the breakfast and room routines and facilities. The breakfast was 5 star quality with fresh cooked breads pastries and many cold meats and fresh juice and yogurt ‘ cereals hot food choices as well ,we were spoiled for choice with Our bedroom was large and bright with a very comfortable bed . You would be ready for your next day well rested and well fed. Great view of Bere island and the surrounding areas . Safe and plentiful parking.

Reviewed Oct 28, 2025Denis was an absolute wonderful host. Enjoyed talking to him about his work life as a fisherman. Amazing things he got in. Short walk to downtown, and enjoyed a great evening at the Twohney pub. Had a great chat with Rose (forgot her Gaelic name pronunciation.) The full Irish breakfast we had the following morning was wonderful, Would recommend a stay there for sure.
A few cobwebs in the room, but nothing serious.

Propriétaires absents. Chambre ne correspond pas à ce qui était prévu. Petit déjeuner bas de gamme. Uniquement en self service. Eau chaude en panne. Nous n’avons pas pu prendre de douche. Nous avons quitté le B&B au bout de deux jours alors que nous avons payé 3 jours.

Dato che la struttura si trova su una collinetta rispetto al paesino sottostante, offriva una bellissima visuale della zona marittima. Il proprietario è molto gentile ed ospitale. Molto carino il fatto che l'area comune della struttura, trattandosi anche dell'abitazione dello stesso proprietario, fosse poi corredata anche delle loro foto di famiglia. L'ambiente era molto caldo e curato.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2025Goed bed, kamer en badkamer waren aan de kleine kant maar wel schoon. Informele sfeer. Koffie en thee faciliteiten en koelkast in de lounge/ontbijtruimte. Geen overdadig ontbijt met lekker vers gebakken brood en verfsfruit salade.
Het had de sfeer van een motel. Aan ons doel, 1 nacht op doorreis, voldeed het.
