Harbour View Accommodation

Caroline was a wonderful hostess and the property was beautiful and conveniently located on the edge of town. The common area was lovely, with an electric fireplace going all the time and lots of goodies available. We stayed three nights and had two full days to explore the Ring of Beara. A beautiful stay off the beaten path!

Très propre et confortable. Petit dej au top.

Every aspect of my stay was a delight, the cleanliness and quality is exceptional. B&B at its best.

Very clean, comfortable and accommodating.

Caroline has created a calm, beautiful haven for visitors. Our room was simply lovely, and every detail was attended to. The location was definitely close enough for us to walk to the center of town easily, however, for the rain prompted us to drive.

Everything was top notch and the hosts are such nice people. A great base for exploring the area and the breakfast ensures you have the energy

Great stay, great location, great people…

Nothing all good

The hosts know my family and they made a big effort to cater to our needs and preferences. Lots of different options for breakfast, from a full Irish to pancakes. Room was spacious and wonderfully decorated with a lovely ensuite as well. Perfect for people wanting authentic Irish hospitality and supporting local businesses in Castletownbere.

Great welcome from a lovely host. Very comfortable ensuite room with everything we required. The bed was excellent resulting in a great night's sleep. A fantastic breakfast with many options that set us up for the day. Thanks for everything.

Nothing to fault!

Proprietor was a sweetheart. Very personable. Room perfectly tidy. VERY close to downtown.

Brian & Caroline were absolutely fantastic hosts. Their attention to detail, their thoughtful touches for guests, the warmest of welcomes, and their property itself, were all genuinely fabulous. Harbour View is actually comprised of two large detached properties which sit side by side on the one plot. There is a day room and 3 bedrooms in one of the houses, and another 3 bedrooms, another day room, kitchen and the breakfast room in the other house. All areas inside and outside have been meticulously cleaned and all areas inside the property are non-smoking. Breakfast was particularly outstanding, and both, the cooked breakfasts and the range of self serve breakfast items were superb. The standard of cooking, the quality of the food and the selection would put many 4 and 5 star hotels to shame. Our room was a great size, with a large and extremely comfortable bed, blackout curtains, a desk and desk chair along with a small but comfortable, soft chair. Plenty of hot water at all times in the bathroom, and the large shower had great pressure too. Nothing was too much bother for Brian or Caroline, and they maintained the perfect balance of being available and around, while still giving guests their own privacy and space. All in all, this was a fantastic stay, and I'd thoroughly recommend Harbour View to anyone looking for accommodation in Castletownbere or the surrounding area. It really was first class, and other B&B owners should take note, that this is 'THE' way to do it right.

There wasn't a single thing that we didn't like, or found fault with.

Amazing staff abd beautiful place

Nothing all fantastic

Muchas gracias

Sólo poder quedarme un día, repetiré seguro

We had a lovely stay at this B&B. Caroline is a lovely host and the breakfast was delicious, great choices, lovely bright modern accommodation and within walking distance of town. The room was modern, bed very comfortable and everything was very clean! The sitting room facility where we could relax and make a cup of tea and enjoy a biscuit was a really nice touch! Thank You so much! 👏👏👏

We had a wonderful stay at the Harbour View. One of the best B&B's I ever stayed in. Caroline was extremely welcoming and made sure we were really well looked after. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. But the highlight was breakfast which was absolutely delicious, and had an abundance of choice. Will definitely be back!

Perfectly clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast too.

The breakfast, presentation, and selection was wonderful. The dining room was nicely decorated and Carolyn was a wonderful server.

It would be nice if they could have a little bit more control of the weather :-).

The harbor view from our window was beautiful. Very comfortable room. Breakfast was perfect! A menu was provided in advance to choose different egg breakfasts or pancakes. A full buffet of fruit, cereal, yogurt, muffins, rolls, juices, drinks, etc. was also provided. It was delicious! Caroline couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. We had a wonderful time at Harbour View!

No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic accommodation - fresh, spotlessly clean, friendly, and well located. I arrived after a day's work, ready to rest and prepare for my next day's work, and I could do that in a comfortable and quiet environment. Thanks to Caroline for a gorgeous breakfast, which was really good value. I'll be back for leisure and tourism in this beautiful area before too long!

Everything was perfect

Freundlch hilfsbereit und das BESTE FRÜHSTÜCK

The property was better than I expected. The room was really comfy, clean, and had a bunch of amenities to make my stay even nicer. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide range of options for everyone.

An amazing breakfast selection laid out and freshly cooked options served. Very reasonably priced for such an extensive choice.

The weather !

The breakfast was exceptional and the location was very good Parking was very important

Very welcoming host, fabulous breakfast, comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Plenty fluffy towels. Good location in walking distance to town. Parking on site. Good location to explore the Beara peninsula from.
