Andelomi Nature's Rest

ANR is gelegen op een rustige locatie in Stormsrivier, in een groene omgeving. Parkeren nabij het verblijf en mogelijkheid tot bbq in 'de tuin'. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid met voor ieder wat wils. Aardig en behulpzaam personeel, hoewel we bij de aanbevelingen een korreltje zout genomen kan worden.

Hoewel de kamer van een behoorlijke omvang is, is alles ietwat outdated. Alles functioneert prima, maar een aparte koud en warm kraan bij de wastafel is niet van deze tijd. Het staat niet in de beschrijving van booking, maar je krijgt een melding dat het strikt verboden is om alcoholische drank mee te nemen. Dit is zelfs verboden bij wet, zo wordt gesteld.

Schöne Lage nahe des Tsitsikammas Nationalpark, Frühstücksauswahl gigantisch, unbedingt auch ins Tsitrus Café in der Nähe gehen; Heizdecke im Bett

Schranktür hat geklemmt, konnte nicht geöffnet werden; Toilettenpapier wurde vergessen ins Bad zu legen - eigentlich kein Drama, der Inhaber hat seine Angestellte deswegen aber richtig böse angefahren; als wir (zwei Frauen alleine unterwegs) gefragt haben, ob es hier nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit sicher ist, in den Ort zum Essen zu gehen oder zu fahren gab es zur Antwort "Don't be silly!" - als er erkannt hat, dass wir ohne Männer unterwegs sind, hat er etwas eingelenkt, dass es "quite safe" ist; an sich also nett hier, nur der Inhaber ist gewöhnungsbedürftig (beim Frühstück war er dann übrigens über-freundlich)

Very idyllic. Excellent breakfast with home made bread. Great dinner options in the evening. Very relaxed atmosphere. Near Tsitsikamma National Park.

Mike und sein Team sind ganz tolle Menschen. Das Zimmer war super, das Bett sehr bequem und hat auch eine Heizdecke. Es gab einen kleinen Kühlschrank und auch Wasserkocher, Tee, Kaffee etc. Es gab einen Schrank und sogar einen Schminkspiegel. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Das Aussenrum ist wunderschön, ein kleiner schöner "Dschungel", alles super hübsch und der Frühstücksraum ist soooo urig und einladend, es läuft tolle Musik und es fühlt sich einfach gemütlich an. Die Atmosphäre mochten wir sehr, das Frühstück hat alles zu bieten, was man sich nur wünschen kann und ist mega üppig. Wir waren an unserem letzten Tag die letzten Gäste und auch da wurde uns alles so liebevoll aufgetischt. Ganz toll!

Towels are very tired. Needs to be replaced. Shower outlet in my bedroom blocked badly creating unpleasant shower experience. However, upon us complaining we were promply given another room. Manager seemed very pre occupied in the morning and didn't even follow up on whether we were comfortable after showerr experience the night before. Just a mere 'Good morning '

Das Haus und das Grundstück waren sehr groß, mit Security und Alarmanlage gut geschützt, sehr gut gelegen in einem vor Ort, in dem man auch abends auf die Straße gehen kann und in dem es sehr schöne Cafés und Lokale gibt, im Haus war alles vorhanden, was man braucht

We vonden het raar dat ons voor aankomst al werd gevraagd of we het diner op de locatie wilde gebruiken. De menukaart werd al doorgestuurd. En we voelde ons een beetje gepouced De suggestie werd gewekt dat we het laatste tafeltje gingen bemannen maar we zaten daar met nog 1 stelletje. Ook vonden we het raar dat de gastvrouw ons in een trainingspak ontving. Kwam een beetje onverzorgd over. We hadden inclusief ontbijt geboekt en als we bij de scrambel egg iets toe wilden voegen zoals tomaat en Spek dan was er een toeslag. Dit voelde ook een raar.

Relatively simpele but proper accomodation in a very nice and well maintained garden environment. Everything worked. Good extensive breakfast. Friendly and helpfull management and staff.

Really beautiful garden and small pool with view up to the mountains. Lovely breakfast including homemade items. Host was helpful when my husband was unwell.

Our bedroom was very musty and smelt damp. It was also rather gloomy, not helped by having to keep doors and windows does closed because of the baboons.

Kleinschalig, goed onbijt, maar dat je voor het 2e kopje koffie moet betalen bij het ontbijt volgens de ontbijtkaart was raar

De regels, die we bij aankomst te horen kregen. De meest idiote.... niet drinken op de kamer, tenzij je het bij haar koopt.

Die Lage ist schön, der Garten wird mit Liebe gepflegt, das sieht man. Die Einrichtung ist schon älter aber sehr gepflegt und das ist mir persönlich viel wichtiger. Beim Frühstück war alles da was man wollte, der Aco-Toast war super, kann ich nur empfehlen. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht dort. Ich würde einen längeren Aufenthalt in der Region empfehlen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich!

Abgesehen davon, dass die Besitzer unfassbar herzlich und nett sind gibt es außerdem noch ein fantastisches Frühstück und ein großzügiges Zimmer mit Blick in den idyllischen Garten. Einen Pool zur Abkühlung befindet sich ebenfalls in der Unterkunft und leckere Restaurants sind in der Nähe fußläufig super erreichbar. Wilmien ist immer für Ihre Gäste erreichbar, ist sehr hilfsbereit und teilt gern Ihre Empfehlungen. Würden immer wieder diese Unterkunft wählen!

Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. Lovely garden. Marie was extremely knowledgeable and helpful from arrival with things to do in the area. The area is perfect for outdoor / nature lovers. We loved the braai setup for us. Mike always cheerful. Thank You Marie and Mike.

Suggestions, @Mike: The shower was near impossible to control, going from freezing to burning. I understand that there is a borehole, but there are ways to manage water pressure with the correct booster pump setup. A ceiling fan would help tremendously, compared to a floor standing fan.

Beautiful spot with a mountain backdrop and lovely gardens. Room was spacious and well laid out. Quiet village feel in town. Pool was nice temperature as well. Overall a great place

It is very central location - good to visit the Tsitsikamma national park. There was nice breakfast at the guesthouse and friendly cats. Very nice roses by the main house.

There was some dampness in the room. I do not recommend to take mussels for dinner, a very strange sauce. Although the pool was large, it had not been cleaned for quite a while, lot of insects /staff on the floor of pool.

Laute Country-Musik am Morgen trägt nicht unbedingt zu einem ruhigem entspannten Frühstück bei. Den Gästen wird verboten, eigene alkoholische Getränke auf dem gesamten Gelände, auch im angemieteten Zimmer, zu konsumieren. Nur die Verwendung der alkoholischen Getränke aus der Minibar werden erlaubt. Das haben wir noch nie erlebt., auch nicht in einer anderen Unterkunft in Südafrika.

Lodge war gut ausgestattet, ruhige Lage.

Frühstück war in Ordnung. Nur wer später kommt, kriegt nicht mehr unbedingt alles. Nachgelegt wurde nicht alles. Einfache Flasche Wasser (trinke keinen Kaffee und Tee) musste extra bezahlt werden. Gastgeberin war ziemlich speziell in ihrer Art.

Das Zimmer war gross und sauber und die Lage war auch gut. Frühstück war sehr vielseitig und gut. Chef und Personal sehr freundlich.

Location was perfect! The room was clean but just aged. I would stay there again if needed but just wasn’t too exciting. The grounds were beautiful but not any comfortable chairs to sit in and enjoy.

Hot water dangerously hot, could easily scold and cause serious injury. Room was a little damp smelling and curtains are useless as virtually light comes through.

Loved the touch of having electric blankets and heaters on at arrival as we arrived late night. Breakfast was great! Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Location of the facility

The attitude of one of the staff .The purpose of our visit in the area was for fun meeting each other for catch-up obviously when seeing each other there will be excitement not knowing that we are in a noise free area so the way we were approached is not right being adults treated like kids .It's worse being told that she heard us while we were coming meaning that even out off the boundary of your facility. We did not feel good at all .We had to go out of your place for us to be happy

Bardzo przemili właściciele, pomocni jeśli chodzi o lokalne atrakcje, przepyszne jedzenie, zarówno to z karty jak i zorganizowany przez nich "braai", domowa atmosfera. Noce były zimne, ale pokój wyposażony jest w kaloryfer elektryczny i podgrzewacze w łóżku. Bardzo blisko lokowanych restauracji i szlaków trekkingowych. Polecam ogromnie!

The staff are fantastic! The rooms large and comfortable. The breakfast was yummy.

Andelomi natures rest is amazing - the room was spacious and had a lovely balcony area. We came in winter and had a heated blanket on our bed which was lovely and cozy. It is in the middle of the small village - everything easy to get to. The owner Mike was lovely - highly recommend booking dinner at the restaurant- the food was amazing and the staff so lovely and accommodating. Breakfast the following morning was also great with a large selection.

Friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating. We had a braai at our own cost, but they supplied the wood in abundance, made the fire themselves on our behalf, and supplied everything we needed to be comfortable. Well equipped room and facilities.

The shower system slightly impacted the stay, they don't have a mixer installed, so when you go for hot water, it's extremely hot, and when you want to cool it down with cold water, then it shuts the hot water and only give you cold water. But we've worked around it. Would also recommend more information to be made available to those interested in hiking, there are ample routes available in the area, but you have to take a walk to the Tsitsikamma tourism office for more information.

La atención de la dueña, desde antes de llegar nos ayudó con información de que hacer en el parque y de cambiar las fechas de nuestra estadía. La ubicación es perfecta y el entorno muy lindo y natural. Las noches muy tranquilas y la ducha funcionaba súper. Y lo mejor fue el desayuno, variado y muy sabroso. Si vienes a stroms river es el lugar para que quedes!

Breakfast was Great : Big variety, continental and English breakfasts provided from a-la-cart menu, selection of cereals on offer with scones / buns and toast with big variety of different homemade jams from the premises itself, as well as fresh fruit salad and the best coffee! Thanx again!

Staff were very friendly and made you feel at home

Nothing negative this trip but for and future visits we need to keep in mind that they are only small dog friendly and we usually with a big dog, this time we weren’t travelling with the dog but we usually do so this would usually be a negative

Stink in room they said its the plants outside but its their plumbing thats connected wrong.

It is not easy to get the water temperature right from the shower "needs attention ", breakfast ends at 9:00am, it would be nice if she can consider 10:00am instead. The garden in front of our rooms needs attention and 🧹.

We wanted to braai and they supplied all that we needed without any problems and we also enjoued the breakfast in the morning

Amazing place. Mike and his wife were very friendly. Excellent breakfast. Close to Tsitsikamma. It was really handy that they were able to do our laundry while we were doing some hiking and we just then came back a few hours later to collect it.

Unfortunately parts that were advertised weren’t available, no bikes anymore, no dinner options also no bar option. Maybe as it is a quiet season but wasn’t made aware of any of this.

Located closer to Most activities in the area. We arrives late and it was cold, the staff had prepared our room to be warm with oil heater on and electric blankets on.

No microwave in the room. This helps when u arrived late or need to warm up food as restaurants in the are closed early
