The cleanliness was very bad. The facilities were outdated and needs an upgrade.

Loved the hotel room, and the facilities were fantastic. The pool was big and spottlcley clean and big. Staff were helpful and polite. Grounds and gardens were beautiful .

Very nice place , very friendly staff & very nice tasty food. Swimming pool are gave big relaxation and There is a very beautiful garden with beautiful flowers in bloom.

Stayed for a few nights and really enjoyed it. Great location near the beach and town, the grounds were well maintained and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Excellent value for the price — I’d definitely recommend it.

Extremely rude staff! Wasn’t helpful at all! They only offered to keep breakfast aside as we’re going out during the breakfast time, they promised to do so and when returned they said they haven’t kept anything! We didn’t even have breakfast outside expecting to eat at the hotel for what we paid for!

De ligging is dicht bij het strand en dit is goed te bereiken met de gratis leenfietsen van het hotel. De tuin is erg mooi aangelegd en het zwembad is verwarmt

Veel was kapot op de kamer: zo was het bed scheef, werkte een lamp niet, de kussens waren beschimmeld onder de hoes, er was geen sop aanwezig, de douche is open waardoor alles nat wordt, airco lekte en ga zo maar door.

Lo primero felicitar al fotógrafo que hizo las fotos para publicarlas en Booking, es una máquina de la fotografía y la edición. El personal es amable. Y las zonas exteriores son bonitas aunque poco cuidadas.

Seguro que me dejo alguna pero bueno, 1- En la entrada de las habitaciones hay como unas "charcas" que tienen más mier da que el palo de un gallinero, son un criadero de mosquitos. 2 - La puerta de la entrada no cerraba con el golpe, siempre tenías que echar la llave porque si no la puerta se abría. 3 - El suelo de la habitación llena como de arena. 4 - Cristal de la habitación roto. 5 - Sábanas sucias, seguro que las habían lavado, pero no puedes poner sábanas con manchurrones y agujeros. 6 - Las toallas igual que las sábanas, seguramente lavadas, pero con manchas. 7 - No había papel higiénico, lo tuve que pedir. 8 - No hay champú. 9 - No hay secador en la habitación. 10 - El agua de regalo, una botella de cristal rellenada, puedes poner una p... botella de plástico sin abrir que vale 4 duros. 11- La limpieza del baño nula. 12 - La nevera no estaba sucia, estaba lo siguiente. 13- El desayuno es un desastre, todo tiene mala pinta, me pusieron un mantel lleno de manchas y les tuve que decir que me lo cambiaran. Las cucharas de las diferentes comidas intercambiadas, podías echarte mantequilla con curri de la misma cuchara. 14 - La piscina el primer día estaba bien, el segundo tenía como "angelitos" de alguna planta cercana, cosa normal con el aire y la vegetación cercana, pero si sois diez personas trabajando en el hotel (Cómo mínimo), que alguno deje el móvil, se levante y haga algo. Este hotel está dejado de la mano de dios. Se nota una falta de limpieza y mantenimiento increíble. O el gerente no está allí a diario o no entiendo nada. El hotel tiene un potencial espectacular, pero si siguen con esta dinámica no acabarán bien. Además si yo hubiera pagado por cada noche 20-25 euros, posiblemente no daría está valoración, pero he pagado 51€. He estado en Sri Lanka en hoteles por menos de 40€ la noche que le dan mil vueltas a este en todos los sentidos. Después de todo el rollo, obviamente, desaconsejo el hotel.

The pool was fantastic

Overall our room was quite dirty. There were substantial holes in the roof which meant a big lizard and several big spiders were coming in and out. Breakfast was quite a short window and arrangements couldn't be made if you couldn't make the time, so we went without breakfast both mornings we stayed there. Hotel has loads of potential but feels very run down as it is at the moment.

Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Zowel bij de receptiebalie als bij het ontbijtbuffet. Trincomalee zelf is verder de moeite waard. We hebben een snorkeltoer gedaan via de accommodatie en dat was prima geregeld.

De kamer was niet schoon. Met name de badkamer. De ruimte van het ontbijtbuffet was erg donker en niet echt uitnodigend om daar lekker te zitten. Het ontbijt zelf vonden wij ook 1 van de mindere tijdens onze reis.

My experience at this Hotel Green Garden was fantastic . Staff was so welcoming and seemed genuinely trustworthy .which i really appreciated . The room and the hotel in general were very clean and comfortable ,and it was a pleasure to relex there ..food was very good . I'd definitely stay here again .

Zwembad is super met lekkere ligbedjes en goede parasols en ook daar omheen genoeg ruimte met een mooi grasveld en aangrenzende tuin.

Ontbijt was redelijk beperkt, zeker voor westerse begrippen. Hygiëne op de kamer hield niet over.. Tuin is op sommige plekken prachtig incl vijver met vissen, maar het deel waar wij zaten had stilstaand, vies water. Zag er verre van gezond uit en rook ook niet superfris.

Hotel is near uppavili beach. The food from the restaurant is very good. Highly recommend recommend the kottu roti and the curries.

The rooms are really tired and could really use a update. The staff didn't stock the room with toiletries or towels. The rooms are also quite small. Overall needs a lot more maintenance and upkeep.

Bathrooms are awful. No TP, no other amenities. Had to ask. At one point shower floor got flooded. Hate when bathroom floor is wet other than inside the shower. Painting on the walls were coming off. Not clean. If you a budget traveler this is the place. I am not a budget traveler, but I was unable to book 8 rooms for almost 20 people in one place. This one had good reviews, so I went for it. I am really not sure what other people saw in this place. This place is not for me. If the hotel can upgrade the bathroom, paint walls and completely clean the floors and water ponds around the rooms, it could be a nice place. One good thing about is, staff was accommodating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good. There was a wide selection of food. The room was nice and spacious, too.

The location is probably a bit far from the beach, but it was easy to get there. Also, the room was a bit dusty and needed cleaning..

Amazing Greeny Place

We booked the hotel because of the pool and free bikes , the pool was nice but nearly all bikes had flat tires, thankfully there were 2 that were ok. Very green property. Staff was friendly

Hotel garden is beautiful and matches the name of the hotel. Rooms and toilets were clean. Breakfast was ok.

A private party was held at the hotel premises and was noisy till late at night.

The counter staff were very helpful as were the ground and bar staff. The pool area and manicured gardens are spectacular. Breakfast was limited for the asking price.

Breakfast was very limited and could be improved with some on the spot cooking (eggs) not barley warm.

The stuff was super friendly and accommodative. Fulfilled all my requirements without failing. 10/10 Value for money.

Very welcome lady in reception. Such a nice and green place. You can find everything what is needed, perfect pool to swim, BBQ, pool game. The garden is decorate with many flowers. Its super nice place.

I believe they should update the room listings with accurate photos and details. The total bill on Booking.com showed $58, but the hotel's bill was $64, and I'm unsure why there was a discrepancy. The room lacked a TV and sufficient tea-making supplies, and there were no bathroom amenities. Additionally, no room cleaning service was provided. On a positive note, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the manager was very kind and helpful. The hospitality was great.

Far away from everything, room service doesnt exist, no cleaning. Gym is ridiculous, nothing works there, is very small and extremely dirty.

Beautiful garden and commun space overall!

There is so much potential in this space and it's still not at their prime. The restaurant is so dark and not inviting. The pool was not super clean, and super hot (not sure it's the hotel fault this part). And the cleaning of the commun areas was also not amazing. Again, great potential in this property, but we came out a bit disappointed.

Room was OK. But AC is not enough to cool down the villa. No amenities, Bed sheets was not cleaned, may be they are not changed. Pool is uncleaned. Water is bad smell. Waiters are not attentive.

The swimming pool is excellent and the staff service was very good.

A beautiful garden that is also well maintained, a beautiful pool landscape and a facility with a lot of potential which unfortunately is not used.

the facility has so much potential and probably for financial reasons after many crises in recent times, no effort is made to keep the facilities maintained or clean! I have been a hotel buyer in Southeast Asia and have a lot of experience with hotels. It is really bad how dirty this resort is. My one year old son had to change his clothes every time he crawled across the floor at breakfast, not because it was dirty but because he looked like he was crawling across an active construction site every time, windows not clean, The floors not clean, the stairs dirty everywhere . Every night on the hunt for cockroaches is a different story. Pay attention to the cleanliness, actually this facility really has a lot of potential. Sorry to say this here, but I'm really sorry about this really beautiful facility. If it were clean and well maintained, you could charge a lot more for an overnight stay.

lovely breakfast, and the garden that very well maintained, it was hot and sunny but we could able to let our child to play and relax, because of the green mat of grass.

Nice ample buffet style breakfast, both Sri Lankan and western options available. Beautiful well maintained gardens, large pool.

Cleanliness and maintenance of rooms. We stayed in both executive suite and pool view rooms. Executive suite not worth the extra. Poorly maintained and poorly ventilated. Fan sockets are not connected ("because you have aircon") and aircon is not effective due to its position and double height of the room. Mezzanine lounge area too hot and unusable. Furniture up there smelt of stale cigarettes. Dirty fridge, screws sticking out of the floor next to bed, dead plant in bathroom, dark room. No toiletries, soap dispensers empty. Pool view room was better, smaller, no fan but not needed as aircon was effective. No soundproofing.Noise from the BBQ night was hideous and continued for a good 3 hours in the evening, the bass turned up really loud and very irritating. We did mention our displeasure to staff but nothing was done about it. Most guests left. Could not use the restaurant due to the racket, so we left too. Overcharged for mini bar drinks on check out not in accordance with the price list in the room, also fell on deaf ears. Power cut from 8am to 5pm on one extremely hot day. No lights, wifi, aircon, hot or cold drinks,and generator packed up after an hour. No compensation offered or given for facilities that we were paying for that day and could not use, again fell on deaf ears. Very warm pool, no relief from heat. Not really within easy walking distance to restaurants/groceries - need a tuktuk every time. They have a new generator now. Patchy wifi.

Great value for money, nice location and little out of the way but no problem, cost rooms overlooking the pool, pool area was ideal and water right temperature, breakfast was great (evening barbecue looked tasty but we ate elsewhere)

The well maintained gardens are beautiful. The pool is large and clean. The breakfast is varied, plentiful and varied. Comfortable beds and clean linen. Mini fridge in executive suites. Proper sunbeds by pool. Kettle, drinking water, tea, coffee, sugar in room.

Location is far from beach and restaurants. The "executive suites" are not worth the money and uncomfortably hot, The aircon is ineffective, practically in the roof space and the plugs next to fans are not connected so unless you have a long lead to reach another socket you cannot use it. The upstairs mezzanine lounge area is too hot to use and smelt of cigarettes. The fridge was dirty. No soap in soap dispenser. Dirty bathroom mat. Electric socket next to shower head? Screws sticking out of floor next to bed. Dead plant in bathroom. Hideous noise from bbq area for 3 hours with booming bass was headache inducing from our poolside room. The second day we stayed there was a power cut from 8am to 5.30pm. The generator died at 9am. No electric, Internet, lights, air con, explaination or compensation offered. Difficult day in Sri Lankan heat.. Overcharged drinks from minibar fridge in room compared to price list in room.

We requested a change of room as the first one was a nightmare (sckre would have been a lot lower in that room). We gave some feedback on breakfast and the overall buffet improved massively in two days. Staff and management were good and receptive for comments and taking action! Great place. And they have lizards for hunting!

First room they gave us was terrible.

1. The staff were awesome.Looked after all our needs. The manager Hariharan, Receptionist Anuhas and Ramesh the waiter took care of all our needs. 2. Lovely pool. Water was somewhat hot as it’s hot in Trinco 3. What a lovely breakfast. Non spicy Sri Lankan and western mix buffet 4. Fantastic garden area 5. During peak season BBQ nights

The rooms were very clean and tidy. The pool was very well looked after by the team, with large soft pool towels available. The best pool we have seen since leaving Negombo. The breakfast was fulling and varied. We ate in 2 nights and each night the food was lovely. Water bottle refills were available from the restaurant team. All of the staff were super friendly.

A change of bathroom towels would be nice after a few days. This is probably on us for not asking for them.

We enjoyed a nice green environment of the hotel, the garden is well kept. The swimming pool is also a great advantage. We want to say that breakfast was quite nice and tasty. The room was specious. I want to thank the people who work in the restaurant: Ramish and Ram are very friendly, helpful. The people in the kitchen grilled the seafood which we bought at the fish market. It was so delicious.

Firstly, the people at the reception don't do their work properly. They don't inform the visitors about all the facilities. Besides they don't care how often the room is cleaned. We stayed for 10 days and no one offered to clean the room. Secondly, the room needs some repair, better cleaning. The door seems to have the fingerprints of all the guests who stays before you.Thirdly, WiFi doesn't work at all. I needed the Internet connection, so I ended up using my mobile Internet.
