Sunny Guest House

This hotel is located in the heart of Bui Vien Street, which is very convenient. The hotel manager is a very kind woman. The rooms are very clean. I have stayed in several hotels in this area, but this one was the most comfortable.

Easy access to downtown. Helpful staff

Nice and clean. Everything you need. A little bit hard to find but great location overall- near city center and bui vien.

Staff were very accommodating. Room was nice and clean. Location was great.

The place is nice and clean. We were instructed to take shoes off before entering lobby why we did not mind at all. Bathroom is as very clean and updated but unfortunately there was a strong mold/mildew odor. That was probably the only complaint we had. Oh and no elevator. Which we didn’t mind because we’re on ground floor anyways. Hot running water and they provide champions and condisrioner along with tooth brush if needed. Overall nice place in an alley way of Bui vien walking street. Not too noisy. Great inexpensive place for a comfortable place to stay in city central.

Excellent location, perfectly situated between the walking street and a nice park. Bathroom is a little rough around the edges but functional. Staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful!

A beautiful visit, many thanks - please note, no lift at this property if that is important to you. Best stay I’ve had in Saigon / HCMC in ages. Terrific place, spotlessly clean, cool staff, good location - stayed in 301 - good spot. Thank you.

Someone on the staff stole around $400 in Japanese yen out of my luggage. At the time it happened, there were no safes in the room to safely secure my money. Additionally, my first room’s shower had bad temperature control. Either a bit too cold, or scalding hot. They moved me to another room, but it ended up having the same issue. So I had to take cold showers my entire stay.

Great little place Lots of restaurants close by handy to everything

Sunny Guest House is in a great location for District 1 in Saigon. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean. You really can't ask for much more for the price!!!

Great Hotel very near to Bui Vien street

Très bon accueil, hôtel silencieux, situé idealement! Je recommande !

Staff extremely friendly and helpful

So convenient, so close to bus drop off. Staff so helpful

Clean & comfortable at a reasonable cost down a very interesting alleyway! We really enjoyed our initial stay here, so much so, that we rebooked when we returned to HCM! Close to shops, bars, salons, buses and even a park where it’s great to go and watch the locals exercising in the mornings. You can join in too! Our room was basic but clean with a good shower and aircon. The toilet does get wet when you shower but that happens in so many SEAsian bathrooms we’ve got used to it! The duvet was slightly small for the large bed but they have us a 2nd one when we asked. The staff are really friendly and will help you out with tips & advice. You are right behind the noisy walking street but there is no noise disturbance at all at the guest house and it’s a spectacle to see (take earplugs for the walk along the road) Would recommend this guest house for a local feeling city stay at a great cost. Thank you

There was something quaint and peaceful about Sunny Guest House. We enjoyed walking down the narrow alley to the guest house, as every day we'd see new and interesting things. Great value for the money!!

It was a wonderful hotel. Are they renovating the building? It felt very clean. I used the laundry service, and my clothes were returned promptly the same day. I requested to print out my plane's E-ticket, and they promptly assisted me. Only interacted with two staffs, both fluent in English and very friendly. So communication was not a problem. Despite being very close to a bustling district, I didn't hear any bothersome noise from the hotel. There was just one concern. I thought I had reserved a room with a balcony when booking, but it didn't have one. For smokers, this is crucial, so I think it should be clearly stated.

Clean room. Despite being near Bui Vien, a happening and lively area, it was quiet. Quite easy to get food as there are some restaurants in the area. Excellent staff service. I had a hard pillow to sleep on the first night, but all I had to do, was tell the reception and it's change. Really happy with everything...

Staff was very helpful

the staff is very helpful. thank you!

Boule quies indispensables !! La chambre reste très correcte et propre.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. Great location- close to walking street. Easy to find taxi nearby.

Super friendly staff. Very convenient location to shopping, food, and tours. Wonderful!!!!!

Very good room for the price. Great service. Towels and sheests have seen their best days (stains) allthough they were washed. The curtain didn't block the light in the morning. Noise from the street not too bad. Noise from the hallway disturbed more easily.

The Sunny Guest House is great value for money. The staff were excellent and so helpful. The location is right in the middle of all the action only a 100 mtrs from Walking Street and about 300 mtrs from the underground Central Markets. The room was surprisingly quiet considering it was so close to everything and included a good bathroom with shower, fridge, TV, WiFi and plenty of space in the room.

We returned to this place because of the service, first and foremost, and because of the location. It’s just a few meters away from the party scene, but far enough down the alley that you don’t hear it at night. I absentmindedly left my travel journal in a tour van. Queen, a guesthouse staff member, went above and beyond to arrange a delivery driver to bring it back to me. Her exceptional kindness is what brought us back to this guesthouse in the first place. If the world had more of her, it would be a better place.

Not a bad area, quiet rooms, everything was fine. I'd recommend it.

It's much nicer than the pictures. The staff is so friendly...

This was my second stay at Sunny Guest House, we were house in the second building Sunny 2 right across the street. Our host was the most kind, friendly easy to talk to person and her English is very good, my two niece instantly became friends with her. It's a very popular hotel among backpacker's and it's next to bui vien street the hotel has no resturant but there are some table and chairs in the second building. If you're looking to spend some time in Saigon and explore the city and Don't mind some of the facilities other hotels have are missing, I Don't think there's a better place to stay at, the price, the service, the location and the friendly staff is top notch. Highly recommend.

Nice place in alley near walking street but away from all the noise. Good food nearby and very helpful staff.

Nice and comfortable hotel, it has the essentials required, however it was a lot of noise in the building asides.....

Great clean hotel down a little alley full of good food. Park on one side, loud backpacker street on the other. Hotel is quiet and staff is super friendly and helpful. I'll be staying here again before I leave Vietnam. Felt safe as a solo female traveler.

Great location near backpacker street (though on a quieter alley), big clean rooms, albeit simply furnished. May need to climb up to 4 flights of stairs to your room.

Great location, value for money , very clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff. good shower

Excellent service and room Great location Loved it

Comfortable spacious rooms. I would stay here again

The staff was wonderful and helpful. The room very clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The location was great, with wonderful restaurants nearby. Overall value was great, the feel was like it was a new hotel or recently refurbished! I will stay here again if ever back in the area!

A convenient and cost-effective choice. Although located between noisy streets, in the house it’s pretty quiet and safe. The host is super friendly and truly helps us a lot. We would recommend this guest house to backpackers and young students on trip.

GOOD Clean basic accomadation in a quiet area, but close to the action, super friendly helpful staff, will stay again

The staff were very friendly and offered information about the area as soon as we got there. The rooms were spacious and clean. Only complaint was the bed was hard but that is usually the case in SE Asia. Good quality for money.

We stayed at Sunny Guest House for 6 nights during TET. All the staff were friendly. We were very happy with our room, good wifi. Vietnamese coffee and tea available in reception. The hotel is down a small alley between two busy roads. We always felt safe. Even though it is just a few steps to Bui Vien party road, it was surprisingly quiet in the hotel at night. Lots of tasty street food in the alley & delicious fruit smoothies. Also close to markets and bus station. Already booked our next stay at Sunny Guest House.

situated close to main must see's, very nice , friendly staff , very clean rooms but helas no lift. But staff will carry your luggage to the room.

Great staff, great acomidations, great location, book upper back rooms, quiet, all the time. A very cool Locals come out at nite Park is across the street,, and there’s food and shops every where....Hotel is 2 blocks to Ben Thrah Market. OH The beers in the alley shops are under a buck US. But 1 block away are THE LARGE BARS AND CLUBS,, THEY ARE MORE EXPENSIVE AND LOUD MUSIC PARTY JOINTS. You literally can walk everywhere. ✌️❤️🤣

Staff are polite and friendly. guest house location is near many food places and shopping malls. However, the alley is not accessible for cars so you will need to walk in

very good location, staff helpful, nice atmosphere

Quiet street which is near to backpacker area. Walk to street food and food court, bus station, pubs or everywhere else within 10 mins. Guest house is family owned therefore they pay attention to guests' needs and take care of their welfare. Will stay there again.

Great basic stay

Great value base, close to the action. Clean, basic, perfect for budget travellers

Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff- they booked excursions for us as well as taxis and it was never a problem. We booked thinking there was a breakfast but there wasn't, but there's plenty of places nearby to grab something to eat. Only downside was whilst we were there they were redoing the path way to the hotel and building (something?) opposite the Sunny guest house which made our stay quite noisy and not too attractive - however the hotel itself was clean and the staff friendly.

Hi, I booked in for one night at the end of a group tour. The location is right in the middle of everything and you can walk to the War Museum, market etc easily. They couldn't have been more helpful with info before I arrived and organizing a taxi for when I left. If you want something comfortable, clean, safe, away from the noise of the main street but still close (which only gets louder as the night goes on) then I can't recommend here enough.

Coming into the guest house a bit disconcerting, it is buried in an alleyway near walking street, but facilities are great. The walk involved so many little shops restaurants and smalll businesses, that at first was uncertain that I would find it but everything was surprisingly well done. The WiFi is spotty and at times non existent but otherwise it was a good value.

Great location within the city between two major nightlife streets. Lovely family owned but we were on 4th floor - was so many steps! No coffee in room had to get it in lobby. Very helpful - asked for hair dryer no problem. Water wasn’t hot for showering but the air conditioning was fantastic. Bed was comfortable and room and general areas very clean. Would definitely recommend this place.

The hotel is down an alleyway between Pham Ngu Lao Street and Walking Street in District 1 and so is pretty quiet apart from some scooters passing by. The staff were very welcoming and offered plenty of help and assistance. The room was very comfortable with excellent bathroom hot shower and toilet facilities plus AC and cable TV. The hotel has some excellent places nearby to try the local food. I would definitely stay there again.

The owner is a very friendly English speaking man. This guest house is his livelihood and it shows. I arrived late with a big bag I rolled down Hem 241 as it is not wide enough for a car. When I arrived the owner was there and quickly copied my passport and took me to my room. He carried my bags for me to the room. My cell phone needed to be topped up so he ran down the street to get a phone card with100,000 dong and brought that to my room. The room was well lit, clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioner was very quiet. The bathroom was modern with toothbrush and soap provided. The room was quiet with no loud street noise or music from discos. It was easy to get a good nights sleep. If you have never been to Vietnam before I would suggest taking advantage of the hotels offer to be picked up at the airport. It was an excellent value and I will return.

Amazing hotel close to everything. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money.

Perfect location near the popular areas in district 1. The AC didn't work very We'll, but combined with a fan it was ok. No elevator, so it may be a problem for people who have trouble with many stairs. My wife and I loved it.

There are a million cheap guest houses in the winding, enchanted back alleys of Ho Chi Minh and this is probably one of the nicest ones. I'm a solo American female traveller and felt totally safe. It was clean and comfortable. Good Wifi, air conditioning and hot water. Awesome two minute walk to the craziest, most colorful exciting city streets I've ever been on -- and I'm from NYC! Def stay here. Try to get the rooms with terraces if possible -- I wish I'd been in the front of the building.

Take bus 109 from airport and stop at the bus terminal. Look for ABC Bakery. Hotel is located inside an alley. Quiet place but some guest is noisy when closing the door. Good location in HCMC

Lovely beautiful rustic home stay in can Thổ. Amazingly friendly staff, beautiful gardens it’s a gem!

Had a great stay and will definately be back. Located in a quiet alley connecting to the backpacker street.

Located down an alley but safe and close to restaurants.

The room is very clean. All staff are very friendly, helpful, even thought the cleaning lady. Actually, all are good, except the water flow of shower is too slow, and the location is in the small road, but its quite than the main road.

You just can't beat the location!! The hotel is immaculate, there are loads of excellent local restaurants and bars at your doorstep. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

Do not take bus 152, you will not able to find the little allies to walk to guest house. Bus 109 take you right at the door of Lele hotel, then you just walk couple min to the guest house.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

Friendly family run hostel in the middle of the backpacker district (down an alleyway so quiet).
