Fantastic location with gorgeous views of the lake and volcano. Top class restaurant, and the staff were faultless.

O hotel é maravilhoso, com localização excelente e muito facil acesso. Pegamos uns dias ruins de tempo (tempestades, chuvas e ventos muito fortes) e foi incrivel aproveitar a estrutura do hotel. O café da manhã é maravilhoso (apesar de nao ter uma oferta grande de opções) e as refeições também. A meia pensao com uma das refeições inclusas (almoco ou jantar) é perfeito também.

A unica coisa que me desagradou no hotel foi como o banheiro foi construido (fiquei no quarto 25). minha criança usou uma vez a banheira e ele quase inundou o banheiro (por algum problema ou forma com que foi construido) e o chuveiro tinha um vão que deixava toda a agua passar, era preciso colocar uma toalha de banho pra impedir que o banheiro inundasse. Em um hotel desse nivel e com um valor de diária consideravel acho que é uma falha de projeto e impede do hospede ter a melhor experiencia e a melhor impressao. Mas todos os dias durante o jantar, o housekeeping acontecia e eles arrumavam e limpavam. Nao vai impedir uma proxima estada porque achei o hotel muito bom mas são detalhes que impedem a experiencia perfeita do hóspede.

Excellent Staff, Rooms and Views

This is such a beautiful hotel. We stayed for two nights in between visiting Southern Patagonia and the Atacama. There was so much to do, but I was happy just to sit by the lake and admire the views and the beautiful ambience. The rooms were stunning, the view was to die for and food was superb. I loved it.

Our 4 day stay at Hotel AWA was perfect ! We were treated to expert guided excursions each day, which was for us a highlight. The waitstaff in the dining room were so warm and welcoming. We found the dining options to be very tasty and of high quality. Our Villa room opened up to the lake and the volcano….and the weather was great! What more can I say? Don’t hesitate to visit !

The bedroom was outstanding with great views across the lake to the volcano. It was furnished tastefully and had a modern Scandi feel. The staff were all very attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was good serving a very good breakfast. Activities were laid on and good bikes and kayaks were available for our use.

Sehr schönes Hotel direkt am See mit See-Zugang. Man kann schwimmen, Kajaks ausleihen, usw. Sehr stylische Zimmer mit herrlichem Blick auf den Vulkan Osorno und den See (wir waren im 4. Stock). Sehr gutes Restaurant für Frühstück und Abendessen. Leider kann man die Tische nicht reservieren, sondern first come - first served. Die schönsten Tische ganz vorne sind schnell weg und man muss kämpfen einen solchen zu bekommen auch wenn er frei wird (wir hatten den Eindruck Gäste aus Chile werden bevorzugt )-: Frühstück reichhaltig mit viel Auswahl, exzellentem frischen Obst (Erdbeeren, Heidelbeeren, etc.).

Es wäre schön, bestimmte Tische für das Abendessen für eine bestimmte Zeit fest reservieren zu können.

This hotel is excellent and has it all. Rooms especially ones ending 1-2 have stunning views and are very comfortable. Restaurant is high quality and service very good. Gym and spa are high quality. Checks every box of a corporate world traveler.

We had a fantastic experience at the hotel. Thankfully it was far enough away from Puerto Varas to enjoy the quiet. We had our own car, and the activities group was still incredibly helpful even though we didn't choose their excursions. We borrowed the bikes one day, and had a great time. Lots of outdoor activities, and created great memories. The food was excellent, and the view from the room was unbeatable. Thanks for a great stay.

El desayuno estuvo bien con variedad aceptable. Me gusto que se podia pedir el desayuno personalizado. Respecto de la ubicacion, si bien esta alejado de Puerto varas la vista es increible por lo que lo vale.

No me gusto que sentia mucho ruido desde muy temprano. Instalaron unos puestos de emprendimiento justo abajo de nuestra habitacion lo que no permitio descansar bien.

Abendessen am zweiten Abend war eine Katastrophe. Die Suppe war kalt und das Fleisch ungeniessbar. Bereits am ersten Abend hatten wir Diskussionen, welche Getränke denn jetzt zur Halbpension gehören und die zuständige Restaurantchefin war sehr streitlustig.

This is a stunning place with a 1st. class attention from all staff members. The location is unique. We will be back soon!

Property is stunning with incredible views. The room is absolutely beautiful with a fireplace, huge shower and soaking tub. Spa services were amazing.

AWA was an amazing experience! The hotel has unique architecture, rooms are amazing (small details like wood burning fireplace, Haram Kardon portable speaker, rustic yet functional decor made it like home), views from windows are spectacular. Most of all the staff is extremely attentive and go out of the way to help and make your stay more enjoyable - loved every aspect of our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

The setting overlooking the lake with volcano views from the room, the friendliness / attentiveness of the staff and quality of the food. Great range of excursions and helpful tour guide. Good reflexology massage.

The spa facilities should have been fantastic but slightly missed the mark - no steam in steam room, no heat in sauna and no bubbles in the jacuzzi.

Far from town

We stayed at hotel Awa for three nights as part of our trip around Chile in October 2025. From the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved the place - the team was very warm and welcoming and the hotel itself is stunning. It's furnished in a stylish yet homely way and you can see the love poured into it by the owners and the fact that it's independent - no generic hotel furnishings here! Everything about it was wonderful - the room is spacious and comfortable, the bar area cosy and like being in your own sitting room (except that our sitting room doesn't look out onto the most beautiful lake and view of a spectacular volcano!), the perfect place to cosy up by the fire and enjoy a delicious cocktail made by Cristian and his team. From a gastronomic point of view all the food we had was delicious; we were lucky enough to be at the hotel for one of their monthly special dining events which was absolutely mind-blowing. I've been for sure enough to visit a lot of quality hotels over the years and this was one of my favourites. I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants to come explore the Chilean lakes and Northern Patagonia.

The view from the guest rooms is stunning, provided the Osorno volcano is visible. There is also a lot of avian activity to observe.

I was on the upper most floor. It took a long time for the shower to run hot. A lot of water is wasted until the shower is hot enough to be comfortable. Also, I only saw one elevator, which was shared by guests and housekeeping staff. The stairs are an alternative when the elevator is busy, but if a room is on the top floor, it is a long climb from the restaurant. The second floor might be the sweet spot. While the furniture in the room looked beautiful, none of the seating was comfortable. I was able to use a couple of cushions to sit on a chair (very low) and enjoy the breathtaking view and all the birds.

Awa is a place to reconnect with yourself and with nature. The hotel itself has a wonderful location with an amazing view of the Osorno Volcano. The service is fantastic, the rooms are cozy, charming, they are just perfect to relax. The activities they offer are well organized, the guides know the area, and the views that every activity offer are so well selected. Every place you go gives you the perfect scenario.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a fantastic view across the lake to the volcano from our room, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time we were there so we could only see the base of the volcano but we nevertheless loved the view across the lake. The service was great and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

We really liked this hotel. Stayed for 4 days. The stand out was the staff especially Florencia and Nicolas but really also everyone we encountered. The hotel architecture is interesting - the basic structure which you can see being cleverly complimented by interior design. Each room has a lake view which is spectacular. The food is also excellent with great views from the dining area. Outside seating area also v nice. Two possible improvements: stronger wifi and fly screens on the opening doors/windows in the room as flies/mosquitos can and do come in - although the ac is v good. Overall however excellent and well managed.

I put a note of 4, not 5… Because I stopped twice at this hôtel during my stay. First time was excellent, I met the manager. Second time 5 days after, was ok… Spa need some improvement and clean the steam room… the hot tub was not working… and may be change the girl there, slamming doors while you are trying to relax. A little disappointed about that…

No tienen room service 24 horas. Aparte el desayuno lo llevan solo hasta laa 09:00 a la habitacion. El personal que atiede en restaurant es informal, tratandote de tu, le pregunte sobre un plato y dijo "no cacho" etc. Y vocabulario juvenil no apto para atencion

La atención de todo el personal que trabaja en el Hotel, además de las instalaciones y especialmente de las vistas que se tiene tanto desde la habitación, como la terraza que da al lago. Los desayunos riquísimos, al igual que el Restaurante y la piscina climatizada.

Más que señalar que no gustó, es una recomendación de llegar en vehículo propio o arrendar uno para conocer más de la Región de los Lagos. Ahora igual señalar que igual el hotel tiene tours y excursiones con todo incluido.

Quedamos encantados con el hotel y especialmente con la amabilidad del personal. En resumen una experiencia fantástica

Attentive friendly staff, beautiful setting. Huge, well appointed rooms. The excursions made our stay, Alan was fantasticly knowledgeable and made us at home. Good breakfast, lovely pool. Decent food on site but also within 20 mins drive of town if you fancy something else.

All in all, nothing. Its everything you could ask for in a resort hotel. If being critical, the outside pier area seemed a bit neglected considering the number of staff to go down and tidy (fire pits dirty, cobwebs) but everything else was spotless and we would love to return.

Located in a very tranquil and scenic setting, just over an hour from Puerto Montt airport. Lovely to be based on the water’s edge. The architecture is cool. Beautiful views from the rooms. Service was exceptional and very attentive and friendly. The spa was closed during our stay, but the hotel organised a free trip to thermal baths including lunch for us. Our driver was very friendly. Our room featured a jacuzzi bath which was good. Food was delicious, we were on half board and the breakfast and dinners were excellent. Excursions to self guided hikes nearby were easy. Shop was a nice surprise. Huge comfy bed. Very kind about our babymoon.

They didn’t inform us until close to our arrival that their annual maintenance was scheduled during our stay (May). The spa was closed throughout our stay (they did make up for it though), and there was some noise during the day into the early evening for room refurbishments. WiFi coverage and speed was not that amazing in some rooms. We changed rooms and it improved. Bedrooms in need of some maintenance (which was ongoing) - stiff doors, plumbing fixtures loose.

The views are fantastic, great rooms, people and food. One of the best Hotels I have been to! First class all the way....

A superb boutique hotel situated on the lakeside with stunning view of the volcano. It is well positioned for access to the Volcano and others attractions in the area. The bustling town of Puerto Varas with plenty of shops and restaurants is easily accessible (you will need a car or taxi to get there) but you don't need to as the hotel has a very good restaurant and bar. The staff are extremely polite and helpful with good English language ability for those of us who struggle with Spanish. Room (space/bathroom/bed/fittings) was excellent. We had a 3 night stay and to be honest we really didn't want to leave. Well done AWA. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

The view from the bedroom is stunning. The whole hotel has a very contemporary feel and we slept well. It is a perfect location for exploring The Lakes, close enough to PM and far enough away to be peaceful. The hotel arranged a day's fishing for us and a local guide took us on the Desolation Pass walk - which was excellent.

What a great experience at Hotel Awa! The room was fabulous. The service was amazing! And the food in the restaurant, wow! The bread was some of the best I've ever had. I've never stayed in a small hotel that had such a nice swimming pool, and the indoor hot tub was also good. There is a small swimming area on the lake, but the water was very cold, even in the summer, and the beach is rocky, so not too practical without water shoes. We woke up every morning and ate every meal with a view of Osorno volcano and the many birds that flew around the hotel. Perfectly quiet at night for sleeping, and probably the best bed I have ever slept in. An idyllic experience, I would love to go back!
