Breakfast was great.

Comfortable room for over night stay. Had a take away breakfast was very pleasant.

Total abortion when boking in. Actually, cancelled booking and demanded reimbursement of money paid.

Air conditioner didn't seem to work properly

A lovely half-way stop from or to Cape Town. The room I asked for was perfect for a quiet nights rest and they prepared a kids bed for my son which was just perfect. They also waited for us to arrive and checked us in after hours due to weather and traffic delays. Our stay was just perfect!

Keep the coffee hot - the coffee I had with breakfast was cold and not pleasant. Had to get proper hot coffee at the Wimpy.

Staff friendly

Room very small for 2. On the street so hardly slept due to trucks and traffic throughout the night. Breakfast not up to scratch. Overall certainly not a 3 star accomodation ( as advertised) by any means.

Bathrooms had sand in the sink and shower, no teaspoons for the coffee and tea in room, staff feel more comfortable chatting to Afrikaans guests and I don't speak afrikaans

It is a beautiful old house that has been perfectly remodeled. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was also clean and comfortable. The bedding was comfortable with enough pillows to choose from, and there were enough available space for luggage to be stored out of the way.

I am not a big drinker, and wanted a glass of wine with my dinner, but was informed that that was not possible, even though there was an option for it on the menu. But that is the worst I can say about Old House Lodge. The wine I did order was absolutely amazing, and it meant I had wine for a few more evenings.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The electric blanket was very welcome as it was extremely cold. The rusks at the coffee station were a nice surprise. The breakfast and the location was good. The room is beautiful.

The power outlets were not very user friendly. We had to move furniture to plug in the electric blanket and use our own twin plug. All the outlets were in use - difficult if you need an outlet for a hairdryer.

Reception was welcoming.

We we not shown the breakfast menu or asked if we have an dietary requirements. When I mentioned that I don't eat pork. I was told they are not allowed to substitute with anything. Funny enough at breakfast, the other guests of a different race, we're offer the menu. It made me wonder if we paid for the same breakfast or their was special. When we requested a split invoice using the same reference number, we were told is not allowed.

I really needed a cup of tea or coffee and there was no facility in the room and I really expected it to be there for a late arrival. Could not buy.

Staff were amazing with communication for our short notice booking .... messaged them to arrange payment from Australia as booking was for my daughter, needing a break after a long drive on the way to Cape Town ... after hours check in details provided just in case they didn't make the 9pm reception closing time and staff remained in communication with my daughter... the room was great ... my daughter especially loved the heated towel rail which added an extra level of luxury to their stay ... thank you again for being able to help on such short notice...

Not very good. I ate it but my wife being more fussy as regards presentation chose not to. I found the breakfast to be pretty stodgy.

Having at least one local & 1 ,international TV news channel would have been great.. breakfast ( as above). The double bed caved in a bit towards the centre & the cutains let in a lot of light ( room 2 as I recall).

We were quite disappointed with our stay. The bathroom hygiene was not up to standard, and there was a noticeable mouldy smell throughout the room. The overall condition felt outdated and not well maintained. The location is on a very busy road, which made it less relaxing than expected. Breakfast could also be improved with a bit more attention to quality and presentation. The strict 21:00 check-in policy is inconvenient, especially since arriving later results in being charged for a full extra day. Overall, the room was overpriced for what was offered. There are definitely better, more modern and affordable options available in Beaufort West that provide far better value for money.

The noise of the truck, the room allocation was not best especially when we needed rest since it was a stop by to rest for few hours.

Trucks passing every few minutes. Rules everywhere... very irritating and off-putting. Basic etiquette should be a given.

The bed was very comfortable. Loved the architecture such as the high ceilings and the chandelier.

We could get the TV on but we could not get it to play any channels, everything was fuzzy.

When my husband came for breakfast he had to ask for coffee, he had to ask for milk and even for a spoon for the porridge, there was also no bread. We asked to make up the bed and the night when we returned the bed was not even made up. We even did not stay any further from Wednesday.

A very dainty karoo style house with beautiful gardens and rooms, very relaxing and tranquil. Easy to find and the property feels safe. Host is very friendly and warm.

Lovely little lodge, safe parking, very nice bedroom. Staff were there at check in. Whilst it was a weekend there was not an evening meal option but a very good restaurant was recommended nearby. Quiet and peaceful place to overnight on a road trip.

I booked 2 rooms and indicated that I was traveling with 3 adults and 2 children. I was hoping they would provide me with one room with more beds, queen/ king size, and 2 single beds

Location was really ideal as I was on a long road trip. Really charming BnB. Perfect place for my dog to run around. Definitely will be back on my return trip.

The room and bed were comfortable and neat. Breakfast was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful as always! It's nice that there are spots to sit and read in the evenings and mornings.

The streets surrounding the guest house get quite loud and this kept us awake, but this is not the guest house's fault. The shower could do with a new head as this one is not great.
