El hotel en si es bonito y acogedor el personal muy amable menos uno el de recepción.

Yo elegí en la aplicación una habitación con dos camas y se me dió una con una sola cama al mostrarles la reseña de mi reserva me dijeron así sin más que la de dos camas se las estaban dando a familias más numerosas. Porque había contado con terceros.

El alojamiento es muy bonito y acogedor, las cabañitas son muy lindas, eso hay que reconocerlo. Y en cuanto a la ubicación esta a 15 minutos andando del pueblo para poder ir de tiendas, ver el atardecer o cenar algo

El servicio deja mucho que desear para el dineral que pagas. Solo buscan sacarte dinero de donde sea, te cobran hasta por usar las toallas para la piscina. El modelo de negocio es ridículo: si pagas el todo incluido, no está todo incluido de verdad, tienes que ir mirando una lista de lo que entra y lo que tiene coste aparte. Un ejemplo: el café con leche sí, pero el capuchino lo pagas aparte. Están todo el tiempo detrás de ti para que consumas, y si no pagas el todo incluido te tratan diferente que al resto de clientes. Todos los empleados eran súper bordes y antipáticos, parecía que les debías algo. La habitación daba a la calle, no se veía nada, ni jardín, ni playa, ni nada. Eso no lo muestran en Booking, lo hacen para que pagues más por "elegir ubicación", pero no merece la pena, porque desde ninguna habitación se ve el mar. Tienen palmeras con cocos gigantes al lado de la piscina que, o los quitan, o algún día van a tener un disgusto serio, porque no paran de caerse justo en zonas de paso. Ayer mismo me cayó un coco a mí, 10 segundos después de pasar por ahí, y el encargado, en lugar de disculparse, me contestó que "era la naturaleza" y se puso chulo. Me quedé alucinando con la respuesta. Cuando pagas por un hotel es para estar a salvo, no para ir sorteando cocos. La tienda es una auténtica estafa. Me compré un bolso y cuando me lo estaban llevando me dijeron que el complemento se pagaba aparte, 120 pesos más. Fue muy engañoso, porque pregunté varias veces el precio del bolso y me dijeron que eran 550 en total. Al no llevarme el complemento y volver a por él al día siguiente, me cobraron 250 pesos. Increíble la estafa. Mi consejo: no compréis en la tienda, lo mismo lo encontráis en el mercado o en la playa por mucho menos de la mitad. En definitiva, es un hotel que no mira por el cliente. Aunque pagas una auténtica pasta por el alojamiento, aquí solo les importa la billetera.

Reception Staff was very rigid, it was hard to get them to facilitate comfort strategies (like I.e opening credit to the room to avoid having to sign a bill every time you would Order a drink; their pool towels policy is insane, pretty much forces visitors to be policing their towels at all Times Otherwise you may need to pay for them in case they get stolen) The offered stake cuts were no way near advertised

First of all shout out to the wonderful staff! Javier, Alexis and everyone was great! My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and we had the most wonderful, magical time on Holbox Island. We were looking for a hotel that offered an easy all-inclusive meal and drink plan, was budget-friendly without sacrificing comfort or elegance, and that’s exactly what we found. We don’t typically enjoy overly fancy or commercialized resorts. Instead, we love places that feel laid-back, connected to nature, and truly relaxing. This hotel was all of that and more. The atmosphere was perfect. We were surrounded by families and couples of all ages, and many of the guests were from Mexico and Europe, which made for a lovely, relaxed vibe. The beachfront location couldn’t have been better. We could see the ocean right from our balcony, and it was the perfect place to unwind. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Like I mentioned, staff made our stay even more special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The food was delicious. While there weren’t a lot of restaurant options, we appreciated the simplicity and were more than happy with the quality. The drinks were also excellent—delicious and generously poured! We left feeling rested, refreshed, and grateful for such a memorable anniversary trip. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing escape on Holbox Island.

We just wrapped up a great stay here. The resort itself is very nice, the food is good, and the layout is excellent, you get quick beach access and it's a really close walk from the rooms. But what really stood out was the service. A massive shoutout to Javy, who took care of us down at the beach and up at the restaurant area. The guy was completely on top of it, constantly checked in to see if we needed anything, and was awesome with our kids. Up at the restaurant, the rest of the crew was fantastic. Jose went completely above and beyond, he jumped right to it and helped us retrieve a credit card we dropped below the deck. Mike was the ultimate run-around guy, always there whenever I had questions. Mara was a great waitress, Fernanda and Antonio provided wonderful service, and Ivan was right on top of everything, making sure the table stayed clean and cleared. They were all incredibly quick to help out with whatever we needed and made every meal easy. If you're looking for a convenient spot with a beautiful beach and a staff that actually takes care of you, this is it.

La situation géographique est idéale : la plage est magnifique et le centre-ville est accessible à pied. Le personnel est accueillant, souriant et toujours prêt à aider, ce qui a rendu notre séjour très agréable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très confortables.

Les buffets étaient assez basiques et manquaient de variété. Nous nous attendions à davantage de spécialités locales ainsi qu’à une meilleure qualité et fraîcheur des produits proposés.

Boutique Hotel de charme , chambres grandes et cosy , hotel très propre et très bon petit déjeuner. Très bon service aussi avec une superbe plage privée juste devant l'hotel .

Great stay, lovely quiet spot with nearby access to great amenities and fun in town. Check-ins from wait staff were a lot at times, but they were always friendly and professional. Great drinks, good food, nice tree cover and shade and lounge spots by the pool and beach.

Cannot beat its location!!! It is quiet, private and has the most beautiful beach right across. I particularly loved the design of the hotel. Lots of palm trees, palapas, and hamacas, which makes it a great beach getaway!

I disliked that the keys to the room were handed right at 3pm- check in time. Not one minute before. It would be nice that the hotel offered some flexibility on this, as we arrived at 2:30pm and had to wait in the lobby, even when the room was ready.

L’hôtel est mignon et l’emplacement/l’île est paradisiaque. C’est également propre. Le personnel agréable.

Vous avez 2 formules all inclusive que vous découvrez en arrivant. 1- classique que nous avions pris et 2- premium qui vous permet d’accéder à toute la carte. Si vous voulez passer en Premium il faut ajouter 20$ US par jour et par personne. Si vous prenez la formule classique vous n’avez pas droit à une bouteille d’eau (plage, repas… peu importe !), c’est verre d’eau uniquement. Les piscines sont un peu vétustes, beaucoup de carreaux cassés L’hôtel est très petit donc vous n’avez qu’un resto-buffet (le 2e est payant pour tout le monde) qui n’est pas très bon et avec peu de choix. Les chambres sont toutes assez proches de la piscine/restaurant ou de l’entrée et le problème c’est que quand vous êtes prêts de la piscine vous entendez TOUT y compris à 6h du matin (le personnel qui discute et qui prépare le petit déjeuner). Nous avions une chambre vue mer, il ne s’agit que d’une vue éloignée. En effet, la plage est bien plus loin que la première chambre donc les pieds dans le sable oui car c’est du sable partout sur l’île mais pas les pieds dans l’eau. Le personnel du restaurant ne parle pas anglais pour la plupart. Il y a 2 piscines mais celle du haut est minuscule donc celle du bas est accaparée par les enfants. Le restaurant du haut est payant pour tout le monde et accessible par des personnes non clientes de l’hôtel. On vous fait signer un papier à chaque commande/repas passé(e) même quand c’est inclus dans votre forfait all inclusive…. Les équipements dans les chambres sont vétustes. L’hôtel n’est pas un 4 étoiles selon le standards européens ou américains mais plutôt un 3 étoiles qui pourrait très correct si ils adaptaient leurs tarifs en conséquence.

Het is prachtig! Het ligt direct aan wat ons betreft het mooiste stukje strand van Holbox! De kamers zijn ruim en de bedden zijn super comfortabel! Het wandelingetje naar het stadje is prima en het personeel is super vriendelijk!

Emplacement et établissement très beau

La coordination compliquée entre la caisse du bar/restaurant trop de personnel mal formé, nous avions crédité notre carte avec une caution pour pouvoir mettre nos consommations etc sur notre chambre comme dans tous les hôtels et bien tous les jours on nous disait qu’il n’y avait pas de crédit et c’était toujours très compliqué. De plus la personne qui était à la caisse du bar/restaurant était toujours différente. Trop de chefs de sous chefs . Les serveurs quant à eux essayaient de faire le maximum mais tout les jours ce problème de prise en charge a fini par nous agacer fortement.

Grand hôtel familial près de la plage avec deux piscines. Décoration moderne. Personnel agréable et professionnel, avec un employé francophone qui nous a aidé pour trouver les transports sur place. Notre chambre sentait la peinture mais on nous a directement surclassé dans une autre chambre au premier étage avec vue mer partielle depuis la terrasse.

Petit déjeuner varié mais d'une qualité moyenne pour ce type d'établissement avec un supplément pour l'expresso...

This hotel is simply wow from the moment you arrive. Nestled in an oasis of lush greenery and nature, yet only steps away from a silky-soft sandy beach—easily the best on the island—it truly feels like paradise. We stayed in a junior suite with a private pool, which was amazing. The room was spacious, and our pool enjoyed sunshine all afternoon, making it perfect to spend mornings at the beach and afternoons relaxing in our very own warm pool. The hotel really makes you feel immersed in nature. During our stay, we saw a variety of birds, as well as lizards, iguanas, and the adorable raccoons that left their little footprints around our pool each morning. Breakfast offered a great selection of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, and traditional Mexican dishes, along with an omelette station for something made to order. We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis because we wanted to explore the authentic local restaurants in town, but the prawn tacos and seafood pizza we tried at the hotel one day were absolutely delicious. Every member of staff we encountered was courteous, friendly, and professional. We also enjoyed practising a little Spanish with them, which added a lovely personal touch to our stay. The location was ideal—just a 10 to 15-minute walk into town, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. The only thing worth noting, if you’re planning an adults-only style getaway, is that the hotel welcomes families, so there were quite a few children around. It could be a little noisy at times, particularly around the main pool and during breakfast, but it didn’t bother us personally. I’m so glad I chose to stay here—it has left us with wonderful memories of a truly magical trip to Isla Holbox. Gracias!

Debido a un retraso de mi avión, no pude llegar en el dia al alojamiento. Envié diversos emails y llamé por teléfono al alojamiento donde una persona del hotel me confirmó que no habría problema. Al llegar al alojamiento, me informaron que mi reserva estaba cancelada. Dejándome sin hotel.

I booked a sea view room, but we only got a downside garden room across from the restaurant which was quite noisy. The bathrooms are a little dated and could use a renovation.

The location was phenomenal! The food was good. Staff was very kind and helpful! The rooms were beautiful, we had our own pool - that was very nice. We came for a night and stayed for four 🥰

I had a generally pleasant stay at this hotel, but I’m honestly surprised by its 4-star rating. The location is excellent—just a few blocks from downtown, which made it easy to explore, yet far enough away to avoid the noise and crowds. It really offers the best of both convenience and quiet. The hotel was also clean throughout, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, there are some significant downsides. While the rooms were clean, they felt very outdated and in need of renovation. More disappointing was the food. I’m not particularly picky, but the dining experience was by far the weakest part of the stay. The meals were mediocre at best—repetitive, lacking creativity, and simply not enjoyable. It got to the point where we chose to eat outside for every meal, including breakfast, even though it was included in our booking. Overall, while the hotel gets the basics right—cleanliness, location, and service—it falls short of what I would expect from a 4-star property. I would personally rate it closer to 3 stars.

Alguns funcionários parecem ter medo que fujamos sem pagar. Não podemos debitar nada para o quarto e quando não pagamos de imediato, andam atrás de nós para que paguemos. Não é simpático.

We stumbled across Las Palapas, Holbox, and wow what can we say….incredible. José, Mike, Wilberth, George and the team were outstanding. The hotel is one of the best we staying in across the world. The balance between luxury and boutique is a fine example. The food, drinks, service and facilities were amongst the finest. Fabulous area of the beach, completely unspoilt and 10 minutes away from the hub of energy that the main square offers. Food was outstanding. We really do have nothing negative to say - other than see you all again next year. Thank you

Prachtige, centrale ligging aan het mooie brede witte strand. Het ontbijt in buffetvorm was heel uitgebreid en aangenaam zitten.

Hotel rooms were very noisy and had no views. Very antiquated way of checking in with having to wear an armband throughout our stay to prove we were guests. Any extras had to be paid on the spot rather than have an open credit card to pay at end of our stay. Front desk staff unhelpful and seemed unwilling even to try to solve problems. Restaurant staff very friendly and willing to go the extra mile.

Nous avions réservé une chambre vue sur mer et nous avons reçu une chambre vue sur travaux. Le personnel de l'hôtel nous a dit qu'il était désolé mais qu'il s'agissait de la dernière chambre disponible. Nous avons demandé un geste commercial (peu importe le geste) mais ils ont refusé. Nous étions 3 adultes, nous avons reçu que 2 serviettes de bain. Quand nous avons demandé une 3ème serviette à la réception, le personnel nous a répondu que ça n'était pas possible car le local "service" était fermé et il n'avait pas accès, il fallait attendre le lendemain. Aberrant pour un hôtel de ce standing et au prix de la nuit !!!!! j Nous avons reçu la 3ème serviette de bain, le lendemain de notre arrivée à 11h du matin :D la grosse blague !!!! J'ai logé dans de nombreux hôtels et hostels de toute catégorie dans de nombreux pays du le monde, je n'ai jamais connu un service aussi déplorable Aucun service client! money money money

Lovely stay for a 5 day trip for spouse and me. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was ok. Great for families and couples. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, activities and a very short walk to the beach.

We had a fantastic time at Villas Palapas del Mar. We stayed 6 nights, 2 adults + 2 kids. We had the ground level room with plunge pool. Great for the kids but probably wouldn’t have used it for only adults. Room was rather basic but clean with all the essentials. The hotel grounds are well kept and feels like a big garden. Plenty of beach chairs and bar service available on the beach. It was windy during our stay so quite a bit of seaweed but they raked it every day to keep it to parts of the beach. Besch chairs also on The grounds a bit away from the beach - great for windy days.Two pools, plenty of space. Great view from the upstairs pool. Both however with freezeing cold water maybe due to the unsually cold weather recently. Breakfast was good, other meals ok but we were happy we skipped the all-inclusive option. Walking 10-15 minutes into town and restaurants all along that walk. In general relaxed and peaceful vibe. Definitely not a party place. A couple of families with children but still not loud and noisy. Staff was very friendly and we got excellent help when we needed to see a doctor for a minor incident.

If you are looking for a quiet, high-end all-inclusive experience, this is it. The hotel is situated on a beautiful stretch of beach—perfect for walking out to the sandbars and spotting flamingos. It’s also perfectly located: just far enough from downtown to be peaceful, but close enough to walk there easily. ​A huge shoutout to Mike, the Supervisor. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His attention to detail and level of service really elevated our entire trip. Highly recommended!

You should improve quality of drinks BIG DISAPPOINMENT for me was that hotel ask extra charge if you order a cappucino for a breakfast. In this rate and hotrel category that is unacceptable.

Quick getaway at our first all inclusive. Beto and Mike are the best and we will return to experience such great service.

Ubicación , servicio y desayuno

Habitaciones ruidosas , primera noche maquinaria y mucho ruido , al día siguiente por el día estaban arreglado algo y esa misma noche se escucha demasiado a los de la habitación de al lado . Habían unos niños al lado y se escucha perfectamente las conversaciones y por la noche uno lloró y era como si nos llorara en el oído . Sin culpar al niño . Falta insonorizar habitaciones .

La amabilidad del personal y la ubicación, también la cama.

Precio excesivo para lo que es y ofrece. Puertas y ventanas que no cierran bien, distribución incomoda, y detalles feos, como que no se pueden pagar las consumiciones al final sino que hay que pagarlas cada vez o antes, lo que invita a no consumir en el hotel. Hay que pagar también fianza por las toallas. Llegamos 10 minutos antes de la hora del check in (12h) y nos hicieron esperar. Nos dieron una habitación de las últimas con vistas a un lugar con escombros y el hotel estaba casi vacío. Detalles.

Wir hatten dieses Hotel für unsere Flitterwochen gebucht und ursprünglich 12 Nächte reserviert – nach nur 3 Nächten sind wir jedoch abgereist, weil wir überhaupt nicht zufrieden waren. Bereits im Vorfeld hatten wir das Hotel mehrmals kontaktiert und darum gebeten, dass bei der Ankunft eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit vorbereitet wird. Leider kam auf keine der Nachrichten eine Antwort, und wie erwartet war auch nichts vorbereitet. Das war sehr enttäuschend und zeigte deutlich, dass dem Hotel der Gast völlig egal ist. Schon bei der Ankunft war die Rezeption unfreundlich und wenig einladend. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten desinteressiert und steckten gefühlt alle unter einem Hut – keinerlei Herzlichkeit oder echtes Engagement. Auch die Sicherheit im Hotel ist fragwürdig: Unsere Dusche funktionierte nicht, woraufhin ein Techniker kam, um sie zu reparieren. Am selben Tag tauchte derselbe Handwerker erneut auf mit der Behauptung, er müsse nochmals etwas prüfen – obwohl die Reparatur längst erledigt war. Wir fühlten uns dadurch sehr unwohl. Von anderen Gästen hörten wir, dass ähnliche Situationen mehrfach vorkamen. Es drängt sich der Verdacht auf, dass dies eine Masche sein könnte, um Zugang zu den Zimmern zu erhalten. Das Essen war enttäuschend – kalt, lieblos und von minderer Qualität. Das Frühstück war eintönig, die Tische oft nicht gedeckt, das Buffet kaum vorbereitet. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Fazit: Dieses Hotel ist weder für einen normalen Urlaub noch für Flitterwochen zu empfehlen. Fehlende Gastfreundschaft, mangelnde Sicherheit und ein desinteressiertes Personal machen den Aufenthalt zu einer großen Enttäuschung.

Precis vid stranden, ren och fin strand och solstolarna ingår. Nära till stan också. Väldigt smidigt om man ska bara gå upp och hämta något från boendet.

Det hade behövts renoveras, speciellt badrummet. Väldigt lyhört. Vi fick rum precis vid restaurangen och hörde oväsen hela tiden. Det är så pass lyhört att man blir till och med väckt av fåglarna som skriker (alltså inte sjunger utan skriker) utanför. Första natten hade vi grannar där man kunde höra ALLT även om de viskade, helt otroligt. När vi klagade till hotellet så sa de att de checkar ut och att de ska försöka att inte ha någon där under vår vistelse. Vi hade klagomål om städningen och personalen skulle kolla på det, men det åtgärdades inte under vårt besök. Frukosten är ganska tråkig och det serveras i princip samma saker hela tiden. Hörde vissa som hade all inclusive att de var väldigt missnöjda. Man får inte det man betalar för. Hotellet har väldigt mycket potential, men måste förbättras.

L’établissement est très agréable il est propre bien entretenu. L’accès à la plage est top. Le personnel est très agréable et dévoué. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est juste parfait il y a de tout et le personnel veille à notre bien être.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, the daybeds on the beach were very comfortable and the room was spacious.

The beds were hard and the pillows VERY uncomfortable. The bathroom was ok but smelled poorly. The cleanliness overall in the room and hotel was just OK. You can hear EVERYTHING from neighboring rooms - bring ear plugs. Worst check-out experience - we asked to check-out 2 hours late and they charged us an additional fee per hour! Normally if they can accommodate this is given as a courtesy. And even when I agreed to pay, they came to find me at the beach to hurry me and called me in my room multiple times while I was finishing to pack BEFORE the 2 hour time frame.

The rooms and the grounds were beautiful! Loved the dreamcatcher theme. Delicious fresh breakfast every morning, which was included in the price.

Our particular room was located near the rooftop bar and could be loud at night. We did not have the all inclusive package but did order nachos for lunch one time, and they were the worst nachos I’ve ever had in my life. That being said, the dining areas were very pretty.

The location and facilities of the hotel are great, nothing to complain about. The food at the buffet was average but the food at the snack bar was good. The service was quite good when you got it, sometimes you had to wait a long time to get service and the staff was clearly a bit "frozen". The staff's English skills were also very limited, if you don't know Spanish, be prepared to use Google Translate

We had an excellent time staying at the Villas HM Palapas Del Mar. This was our first time on Holbox Island, and we found it to be a very charming, relaxing and laid back vacation. The staff were very attentive here, and we especially appreciated Miguel’s hospitality. There is an excellent ratio of beach beds to hotel guests, so we never had a hard time getting beds on the beach. The food was excellent, and our room was kept tidy each day.
