Betutu Bali Villas

The hotel is in a very good location, close to many restaurants, shops and places of interest in Ubud, so it is convenient for exploring the area on foot. However, something important to keep in mind is that the hotel is located down a very narrow street that cars cannot access. You have to walk approximately five minutes from where the car drops you off to reach the hotel. It may not sound like much, but when you are carrying or pulling heavy luggage, it feels much longer and can be quite inconvenient, especially on arrival and departure.

Unfortunately, our stay did not start well at all. Before our arrival, we had arranged a pick-up from the port directly with the hotel for IDR 300,000. The hotel confirmed the service and told us that a driver would be waiting at the port holding a sign with our names. However, when we arrived, there was nobody there. We tried calling the hotel several times, but no one answered. We then contacted them through Booking.com, and they only replied about an hour later, by which time we had already arranged a Grab ourselves and had to walk around 20 minutes with our luggage to reach it. The hotel eventually told us that their car had broken down and that they were going to send another driver. I understand that unexpected problems can happen, but what was unacceptable was that nobody informed us beforehand, nobody answered our calls, and when we finally arrived at the hotel, we did not even receive an apology or any acknowledgment of what had happened. This already gave us a very poor first impression. Unfortunately, the room also had several issues. The shower curtain only covered about half of the shower area, so every time we showered, water ended up all over the bathroom floor. The curtains in the bedroom did not block out the light at all, meaning that from around 6 a.m. the entire room was already very bright. The soundproofing was also very poor. We could clearly hear people talking and walking in the corridors at all hours, including during the night, which made it difficult to get a proper rest. Overall, the biggest disappointment was not simply that things went wrong, but the lack of communication and attention from the hotel when they did. For a hotel stay, especially after arranging and confirming services in advance, we expected a much better level of organization and customer service.

Elegimos este alojamiento por las excelentes reseñas que tenía tanto en Booking como en Google, y la verdad es que no nos ha defraudado. A pesar de que nuestro vuelo llegó muy tarde por la noche, nos esperaron sin ningún problema y nos llevaron hasta el alojamiento, algo que agradecimos muchísimo después de un viaje tan largo. Fue todo un acierto reservar aquí. Las habitaciones son muy bonitas, con una gran terraza y vistas a la piscina, lo que hace que la estancia sea muy agradable. El desayuno incluido es correcto y suficiente para una estancia de 2 o 3 noches; si te alojas más tiempo puede resultar algo repetitivo, ya que la variedad de platos es limitada. Como sugerencia de mejora, agradeceríamos un cambio diario de toallas para evitar la humedad, y también observamos que las sábanas tenían algunas manchas. Así como la mejora de los baños (algo viejos y esto puede no gustar) Por lo demás, la ubicación es muy buena: se puede llegar andando a prácticamente todo en menos de 10-15 minutos. Además, ofrecen muchos servicios y también organizan transporte; en nuestro caso nos llevaron en taxi hasta Padang Bai, con un servicio muy cómodo y puntual. Sin duda, volveremos. ¡Gracias por todo!

La gentillesse des hôtes et leur précieux conseils Les chambres très propres, très spacieuses et bien équipées avec une superbe terrasse avec vue sur la piscine. La localisation de l'appartement proche du centre et de la vallée des singes qui viennent parfois faire un tour sur le terrain. Le Warung de la villas est excellent mais il faut bien réservé car petit et vite complet et petit déjeuner très bon.

Just that the washroom had a translucent mirror and the person on the outside could see inside the washroom which didn’t feel comfortable. Also the entrance is a little shady, go in the daylight while checking in otherwise you might get scared as it’s in a small and dark street, although the street has other hotels/villas too

The staff was very friendly, especially Ekö, he deserves the best. When I come to Ubud once more, I will definitely come here again and meet them. The location was also quite good, within walking distance from the Monkey Forest and about 10–15 minutes from Ubud Palace. We used a private driver for one day, arranged through Betutu Villas. Our driver was also friendly and professional.

★★★★★ Absolute Ruheoase mitten in der Stadt Wir waren bereits vor zwei Jahren hier und haben uns auch dieses Mal wieder rundum wohlgefühlt. Schon beim Betreten hat man das Gefühl, in einem Tempel anzukommen: eine besondere Atmosphäre, unglaublich viel Ruhe und Entspannung. Trotz der friedlichen Lage ist man in nur zwei Minuten zu Fuß mitten im Stadtzentrum. Diese Kombination aus Rückzugsort und zentraler Lage ist einfach perfekt. Besonders hervorzuheben sind das tolle Frühstück mit großer Auswahl sowie das äußerst freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, das den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer macht. Posizione comoda vicino alla Monkey Forest ma fuori dal traffico di Ubud. Camere spaziose e piscina di buone dimensioni.

Il servizio è gestito dai ragazzi della famiglia. Sono molto gentili ma non sempre ben organizzati. Niente di grave ma solo qualche dettaglio da migliorare: es. non ci hanno ricaricato il bagnoschiuma nel bagno pur avendolo richiesto. Gli asciugamani del primo giorno erano molto sporchi e ce li hanno sostituiti subito, ma si trattava di una svista evitabile.

De locatie is perfect had niet beter kunnen zijn, iedereen is vriendelijk en werkt hard ! Het is echt een aanrader. Op de vertrekdag naar Pandangbai, ferry, kregen we een ontbijtbox mee om 6:00 uur. Het was geweldig !

Todo, hotel muy céntrico pero ubicado en una calle muy tranquila. Habitaciones amplias, limpias y cómodas. Nos tocó una de las habitaciones con acceso y vistas a la piscina. La piscina estaba muy bien. El desayuno incluido bueno y correcto. El personal del hotel nos ofreció un trato muy bueno, ayudando en todo. Viajamos en familia con una niña de 2 años y el hijo del dueño nos hizo de conductor y guía durante algunos días por los sitios de interés a un precio razonable.

La proximité au centre. L’amabilité du personnel. On nous a changé de chambre quand nous l’avons demandé car l’ancien bâtiment, les chambres sont sombres et loin de la piscine aucune vue.

Meubles vieillots, lit qui fait du bruit au moindre mouvement. On rentre par un garage, trop de débris aux alentours à cause des travaux en cours.

Bummer, they were doing construction and started super early, totally out of their control though. Not exactly the sweet sounds of Bali I imagined for my first few days, with all the hammering and electric saws.

Fijn verblijf op een centrale, maar rustige locatie We werden vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangen bij aankomst. Tijdens ons verblijf werd er nog gewerkt aan enkele delen van het terrein. Deze werkzaamheden bevonden zich in de afrondende fase, waardoor er af en toe enige overlast kon zijn. Wij verbleven met z’n tweeën twee nachten in een ruime en verzorgde kamer. Op het balkon was een eigen kookgelegenheid aanwezig, wat een prettige extra voorziening is. De kamer was zeer netjes ingericht en voorzien van een comfortabel tweepersoonsbed, een kledingkast, airconditioning en voldoende verlichting. De badkamer was ruim, schoon en goed onderhouden. De handdoeken werden dagelijks vervangen, wat we als een fijne service hebben ervaren. Op het terrein bevindt zich een mooi zwembad met acht ligbedden, waar je heerlijk kunt ontspannen. Het ontbijt wordt geserveerd onder een sfeervolle Balinese overkapping. Het voor- en nagerecht staan vast, terwijl je voor het hoofdgerecht uit enkele opties kunt kiezen. De keuze en porties zijn aan de bescheiden kant, maar voldoende voor een eenvoudige start van de dag. Houd er rekening mee dat het hotel overdag en ’s avonds geen lunch of diner serveert. Voor een avondmaaltijd is de warung bij de hoofdingang een uitstekende aanrader. Er is veel keuze op de menukaart en de kwaliteit is goed. Reserveren is wel aan te raden. De ligging van het hotel is een groot pluspunt. Je verblijft midden in het centrum, terwijl het op het terrein opvallend rustig is. Ondanks de centrale locatie hebben wij geen hinder ervaren van omgevingsgeluiden. Al met al is dit een verzorgd en gastvrij hotel met een uitstekende ligging. Frukosten var ganska basic vilket är det enda som drar ner betyget för min del, det finns möjlighet till förbättring. Bali är känt för sina smoothiebolws och andra bra alternativ till frukost vilket hade varit uppskattat.

Мы совершили ужасную ошибку, что заехали сюда на 6 дней, Если здесь останавливаться, то только на одну ночь, грязное постельное белье, старые номера, не работает кондиционер, ужасные завтраки, полная антисанитария, грязный бассейн, мы просто не могли дождаться, пока уедем из этого отеля, последней каплей было, когда я увидела, что грязной тряпкой, которой смахивали грязь со всех столов, протирали чайные ложки и кружки в номере. Я не знаю, кто эти люди, которые пишут хорошие отзывы, но мы были в полном шоке от увиденного

I booked two rooms that looked the same, the newer ones, but when I arrived they only had 1 new and 1 on the old block. I didn't like that room but they didn't have any other available, so the photos on the booking were not correct. The room was very old and dark. It would be great if the photos on this platform match exactly the room we are booking. They also have construction, building a new room block probably. Also we were ordering gocar to go to the airport and the receptionist offer a driver, said we could leave a littler later, the driver took longer and we were very stressed on the can as we nearly missed our flight!

Everyone was very kind and respectful. The breakfast was amazing, the option was very versatile and complete.

Hôtel très bien situé dans le centre d’Ubud, la chambre est très bien équipée, l’espace piscine est également très sympa. Le personnel est souriant, gentil, à l’écoute. Le petit déjeuner était également bon même si on fait vite le tour. Dans la chambre, des bouteilles d’eau, une bouilloire du café et du thé chaud ainsi qu’un frigo sont mis à disposition

Le petit déjeuner est varié, au choix, et bon! L’hôtel est beau avec du charme, la piscine est agréable, les chambres sont spacieuses avec belle terrasse!

Das gebaut wird ist bei der Buchung nicht ersichtlich gewesen. Die Aussendusche...am Zimmer bedarf einer gründlichen Überarbeitung. In der Küchenzeile...fehlen Kochgeschirr...Essbesteck.

Absolutely beautiful entry to the hotel. Gorgeous pool and basic but comfortable rooms.

Constant building work made it impossible to sleep after 8am and relaxing around the pool was more like a trip to the dentist. Staff could have been a lot friendlier and helpful with noticeable heavy baggage. When we asked for clean bedding we were asked to show why, not great for a menstruating female!

Las instalaciones, los cuartos y los alrededores son lindos. Tienen linda decoración. El cuarto es espacioso y tiene una hermosa terraza. La ubicación fue extremadamente céntrica y al lado había un restaurante Warung muy rico y a buen precio. También cerca a restaurantes, centros de yoga y markets.

Lamentablemente el desayuno tiene mucho que mejorar. A veces había mucha bulla alrededor, cuando uno idealmente quisiera estar en un ambiente más silencioso para empezar un lindo día en Ubud, también el desayuno en sí considero que podría mejorar. Excepto por el panqueque que sí era muy rico. Sobre la limpieza, también tiene mucho que mejorar, ya que al llegar encontramos un cuarto no tan limpio como lo solemos recibir. Sin embargo, el personal pudo limpiarlo nuevamente y nos sentimos más cómodos. Yo creo que si ellos mejoran estos dos puntos importantes la estadía sería perfecta, ya que el lugar es muy lindo y espacioso. También, la ubicación es muy buena.

van het lawaai wisten we van te voren maar er was weinig aan gedaan om dit een beetje te scheiden. geen doeken of iets dergelijks. ze rookten in het keukentje waar het ontbijt werd voorbereid. en 1 medewerker deed wat minder vriendelijk nadat we vroegen of het erg was als we iets later zouden uitchecken.

De herrie van de verbouwing. Dat we boven een kamer hadden en het traplopen voor ons vermoeiend was. Er was ook geen plek binnen om te zitten in de kamer bij de airco, je kon alleen op bed zitten. Op het balkon waren wel 2 stoelen, maar daar was het soms te warm.

Run by very nice local family. Very centraly located, big and spacious room. They clean the room every day and provide new towels and water. Just ten meters from Betutu is a local warung with great food for a low prices. Very quiet area, you can’t hear the noise from the main road.

Reservamos este hotel justamente pela tranquilidade da piscina e natureza, mas o hotel está em obras, um barulho terrível das 8h as 5h inclusive de final de semana, que torna o uso da piscina inviável nesses momentos. Além disso, o quarto é bem claro de manhã mesmo com cortinas.

Large and comfortable room, good shower and good air conditioning. The location is excellent, and you can do many things within walking distance.

I think the hotel has some random items piled up around the reception area, and it could have a cleaner look to give a better first impression. Also, the room I stayed in did not have blackout curtains, so I woke up extremely early because of the light.

The room was a good size, and we enjoyed the balcony in the mornings. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the daily tidy up and the towel change. The breakfasts in the mornings were decent, but we also found a few breakfast warungs close by to change things up. The grounds are very nice - like staying in a temple: peaceful, quiet, serene, and with a touch of reverence for Hinduism. We saw a few frogs hopping around in the evenings. We loved the staff very much, they were all very warm and helpful. The location was perfect: in the middle of everything. A lot of good local warungs in the area, and maybe... just maybe one of the most authentic pizza places in Indonesia (L'Osteria), directly across from a decent shopping market for just about anything (Coco Market). Easy to enjoy getting lost in the neighborhood! Wonderful memories at Betutu Villas and in Ubud. Thank you so much ❤️🙏❤️🙏

Not much to "not like". The construction wasn't irritating. We didn't use the pool, though should have as it looked very good. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was the soap dispensers in the shower. They need to be washed out and changed with new soap. We brought our own body wash and shampoo, but sometimes it's nice to enjoy something a bit special provided by the hotel. Instead, the soap was moldy, and made me smell like mold later. It's a small thing, but it's also a level of quality that was missing. It didn't ruin the stay because everything else was wonderful! Just a small suggestion, or a tip, to improve if possible. Even the 100-meter walk from the main street to the hotel was worth it! We met a few lovely people along the way, and the cutest little dog sitting on the stairs of a tour shop. We stopped to greet him every day and he seemed to look forward to seeing us. No monkeys came to visit us on the balcony! Disappointed? A little... but also grateful. There's enough monkey business going on in the Sacred Ubud Monkey Forest.

Man hat eine tolle Aussicht auf den Pool und ins Grün aus dem Zimmer. Such einen gemütlichen Balkon. Es ist sehr zentral gelegen. Wenn die Baustelle fertig ist sicher auch ruhig. Das Personal war sehr entgegenkommend. Sie haben mir bei Abreise das Frühstück spontan früher serviert. Auch die spontane Verlängerung um eine Nacht war problemlos möglich.

Die erste Nacht war ich in einem anderen weniger komfortablen Zimmer.

Betutu est hyper bien placé dans Ubud, si vous aimez le yoga, on est très proche de The Yoga Barn et on peut tout faire à pied dans le centre ville. Il y a également un très gros Coco Market juste à côté. Le personnel est vraiment gentil. J'ai particulièrement apprécié l'honnêteté de la dame de l'accueil qui m'a fait savoir qu'il y avait actuellement des travaux d'agrandissement. A ma grande surprise ce n'était pas si gênant que ça. La piscine est superbe et les chambres sont confortables. Il y a également un service de Laundry qui est très pratique et pas cher. Le lieu est beau, le jardin et l'entrée sont soignés. Même si on est en centre ville, on n'entend pas le bruit de la ville. Aussi j'ai bien aimé le petit déjeuner.

Tout était parfait, le seul truc qui perturbait le calme de ce lieu était la présence d'enfants qui parlaient trop fort. Les toilettes auraient pu être un peu plus propre.

De locatie. In het midden van de stad, 50 m van de grootste straat, alles is te voet bereikbaar . En het zwembad, wat perfect was voor afkoeling na elke dag. Groot genoeg en ook proper om in te zwemmen. In de slaapkamer was een geweldige airco.

Tijdens onze verblijf waren er verbouwingen. Wij hebben geen info over gekregen. In de loop van de dag hadden we constant machine lawaai, slapen, rusten was niet mogelijk.

Beautiful little spot right in the middle of everything. Extremely convenient but despite being right in the city it was completely peaceful. A beautiful pool, surrounded by lush trees, lovely food and wonderful staff. The room was clean, comfortable, with my own balcony overlooking the pool. I loved my stay here and would absolutely stay again. As a solo, female traveler I felt completely safe and comfortable. staff were very friendly and attentive :)

My only negative really is that I was not notified prior to booking or arriving that building work was happening at the property. But it didn't negatively affect my stay.
