My room was upgraded for to an air-conditioning & TV but the was no electricity the entire night to utilize these items...

We traveled to jhb and made this our stop over point. We enjoyed staying at the facility. It was conveniently located.

Very basic - more like a motel. Noisy with other guests arriving at all hours of the night - the rooms all echoed

Don’t like at all

It was rowdy, noisy and cold. The shower was below warm for a cold night and cold morning. I would never recommend The Wagon Wheel at all.

The staff - their warm and welcoming friendliness, making me feel right at home. Dinner was a surprise, with amazing food that exceeded all my expectations. On top of that, the generous portions offered fantastic value for money!

The cold weather ;-) this time of the year. But luckily you can book a room with aircon.

The place was easy to find and located right off the side of the highway. The staff were nice. The accomodation was not too expensive.

The room was very small and cold. The pictures on the site seem a lot nicer than what our room looked like. The room was very cold and some beds had extra blankets and others did not. A few extra blankets or a better functioning heater would have been nice. Even though it was a brief stay, it was not the stay I expected unfortnatly.

The shower drain was blocked. I woke up at 12 and was bitten so badly by bed bugs. I left and continued on my journey. I will never stay at Wagon Wheel again.

Yeah it was great. Perfect for what I needed. Small room with a kettle, coffee, bed, nice size shower two fans and everything was neat. Reception staff were friendly and helpful

I stayed in the duplex. It's a full home away from home. I loved their big swimming pool as well.

I wish there would be more paving in between the buildings. Must be very dusty in winter.

The location is perfect for traveling to cape Town.

The room could have a bench or small table to put your suitcase on, or two chairs.

I amde a mistake with the date, they changed the booking date.

The place is not as advertised. The " family" room was extremely small. A soap for 1 person, nothing ells.

Both Pools was green one in disrepair and Aircon in bar area broken.

I stopped here on my way to Cape Town, and it was exactly what I needed. The place was clean, cozy, Great spot for a restful overnight break. Would definitely recommend for anyone on a road trip!

Convenient location. Staff were friendly. Food in the restaurant and service at the bar was very good. A small fridge in the room would be handy. With the heat, our heat sensitive items suffered a little without one, although the staff kindly put our freezer bricks in their freezer for the night.

The feral cat population needs to be sorted out. Most of them were in poor condition, very hungry, and there were many kittens. A TNR system should be in place. There was a beautiful, well looked after kitty with a clipped ear that came to visit us, so something was obviously done at one point. That was my only downside.

On arrival we were asked if we wanted to upgrade on our booking. We paid an extra R500 for the room. Self catering without a bar fridge! Not accessible Door could not close properly. So warped you could see through it. Will not see us again

Food was very good. Beds were comfortable. Secure parking. Other facilities were good and neat, like restaurant, braai areas and swimming pool.

Room was dirty, full of dust, which I am allergic to. Walls and roof very dirty. Poor maintenance of the place.There were no space to put anything. Room is very small and not even a chair. There was only 1 outlet for you to use so you have to choose between charging your phone or keeping the fan on. Rooms are very hot. We got food delivered to the room which we had to pay for and then there was nowhere to put the empty plates etc as they were'nt fetched afterwards. We had no wifi, we called the reception to find out what the password was but it did not want to connect. The toiletpaper holder in the bathroom was broken. Food was very good though. Felt like not worth that amount of money. Very expensive for an unpleasant stay.

Arriving to be told that my room booked thru your service was a terrible room without aircon in 40 degrees Celsius. Then being charged another R 500 to have a room with an aircon......total rip off.

No airconditioning and the room is smaller than advertised. Without airconditioning, and in summer, it’s unbearably hot and struggle to sleep.

Everything was perfect.

The section that we were booked into was incredibly noisy with doors banging and noise from other people. The windows weren’t sound proof at all so we heard everything from outside and struggled to sleep.

This place is fine for an overnight stay catering for weary travellers. The accomodation was neat and fairly clean

Firstly the pool was closed due to a supposed incident that happened in the morning. Pool area is not well maintained, the water was green and there is a black ridge of dirt around the pool. It needs attention and a serious clean. Secondly the restaurant looks nice enough but the menu is limited and the pizzas we ordered were some of the worst pizzas we ever had. Not value for money at all. I suspect the pizza bases were cheap store bought stuff. The tomato base tasted like plain old tomato sauce that was spread over the base and not a proper napolitana base and then just a bit of cheese, toppings and sliced tomatoes on top. And the bill for just 5 basic pizzas and a few drinks amounted to over R1000. I would not pay R300 for those 5 pizzas had i known before how it would be made. This restaurant is a real disappointment especially because about 3 years ago we were also there and had the best pizza and best steak that tasted amazing. They've gone backwards since and really need to pay attention to the quality and care that goes into their menu

The place was dirty. Swimming pool out of order. Empty bottles of alcohol lying in front of the room on the grass. Very dissapointed
