the location was perfect... we did not opt for the breakfast

the entrance was like the pictures online and that was it. firstly, we had to choose out of the two bedrooms or suites upstairs and this is where the accommodation falls flat. As we entered the foyer to go upstairs the staircase carpet was disgusting. It was beige in colour and dirty with dirt marks and stains on the carpet. The multi coloured designed carpet was filthy, the brightness of the carpet hidden by the dirt. As we entered into the room which we chose, the door could not close properly and had boot marks on the door, I gathered from previous tenants and the white door was filthy and I had to ask them to clean the door and the fridge that was dirty as well and really rusty. The two seater couch was full of stains and filthy and we could not even swop the cushions as the underneath was even worse. To boil the water in the kettle one had to use the plug in the bedroom and put the kettle on the floor. There are extension cords that are across from the tv to power the fridge and one could easily trip over the extension as it is across the pathway to the bedroom. They catered for two people and when I booked, I had specifically said 3 people. There was no bathroom gels or creams as stated and thank goodness we brought our own stuff. The air conditioner in the bedroom was not working. The verandah leading from the lounge had a table with chairs that looked like they had never been cleaned since purchased. When the intern came into clean the next day, she just made the bed and washed the cups that were there, she did not even dust and there was dust all on the window sills etc. I must say this has had to be the worst place I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a number of different hotels over the past years and travelled extensively overseas as well. I did take photos of the dirty door and fridge and the 2x seater couch, but I think my explanations were detailed enough.

The friendly and accommodating staff were a real highlight of our stay. I unfortunately delayed my checkout by 26 minutes, but the team was incredibly understanding and accommodating. Additionally, the fridge in our room was not working when we arrived, but the issue was attended to and resolved promptly. The excellent service and willingness to assist were greatly appreciated.

Absolutely nothing! I really can’t complain about anything. The staff were incredibly accommodating and even went out of their way to arrange a smoking area closer to my room, which I thought was brilliant and very considerate of them. Overall, the level of service and attention to detail was excellent.

Service was bad. The property didn’t even provide drinking water. The drinking water can was empty and they said they can only replace it on Monday. The service staff was non responsive for even things like changing towels.

Terrible service even after confirming the booking with booking.com, when we arrived in Durban and called the property for directions we were told that there was no available rooms. We then cancelled on booking.com and found alternative accommodation only for the property to call us later the same day to ask what time we would be arriving. After advising them that we had found other accommodation they still tried to debit my account. I only cancelled because the lady said she doesn’t have rooms for us so why then do they charge for a room that wasn’t available even though we had reserved a room. The host was also very rude and unprofessional over the phone making the customer service extremely terrible

Dineo is the best human being that you can think about it, she is very kind and warm welcoming 😊😊 and I really do think that she does love her job

The room I was, the floor was making noise when walking and the shower had no lights, the place is quite, but at least if you can do so touch ups, so that we feel comfortable more, as we like Dineo so definitely that is gonna become our second home in

We felt very safe as 3 woman staying at the accommodation, no staff annoying you everyone left each other to carry on. The owner is very friendly and accommodating,

The one bed did not have pillows on the first evening, the bathroom has no curtains so its very light with the security light shining in at night, but the other rooms seemed to not have this problem :)

The front of desk was very helpful and accommodating and the lady who attended to us did her best to make the stay comfortable despite the rest of our exceptionally poor experience during our stay.

If there was a zero star rating, we would be sure to give that as we had a very disappointing experience at this property and would not recommend it. We have tried to resolve the issue outside of booking.com but the owner was uncooperative so we would like to leave a very honest review for future customers to take note of. We specifically booked and paid for a suite described as having a separate bedroom and living area, with multiple sleeping arrangements (including sofa beds in both spaces) and two bathrooms. This setup was clearly reflected in the photos and description and was essential for our stay as we were two colleagues traveling together. On arrival, we were instead given a single open-plan room, which did not match what we had booked. When we raised this immediately with the owner, we were told that no such room exists at the property, leaving us with no practical alternative at the time. As a result, we were forced to book and pay for an additional room at our own expense. What made this experience particularly frustrating is that: The listing was clearly misleading, including images of what appears to be a private lounge that is actually a shared/common area. The room description clearly indicates separate spaces, which were not provided. At the end of our stay, we were shown other rooms on the property that did match the description we originally booked, and we have photographic and video evidence of this. Despite this, the owner denied any discrepancy and showed no willingness to engage with the evidence or resolve the issue. Responsibility was repeatedly shifted to Booking.com, rather than addressing the inaccurate listing. Overall, this reflects false advertising and very poor handling of a legitimate complaint. We were placed in a difficult position and ended up paying more to simply get the accommodation we originally booked. We will not be returning and would strongly caution others to double-check exactly what they are being offered...

The location was perfect for my visit in Durban. The staff is so friendly and helpful at all times. They accommodated us so well.

Great place stay if you just looking for something quite

Great value for money, neat and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect for if you plan on staying in the city for a weekend especially location wise, there are no leisure facilities on site but all your activity points are a few minutes drive away. If you get the outdoor rooms its so very convenient if you have things to pack and unpack from your vehicle.

I have historically enjoyed staying in Room 8 and the garden rooms. The property location is convenient, and the grounds are usually well-maintained.

Rooms 5 and 6 were not up to the standard of previous stays. Furthermore, the remote for aircon was broken .when I raised concerns, the management was slow to respond and felt dismissive, which was disappointing for a returning guest."
