Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The hotel is a walking distance to all the major attractions such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, and it is near the tram stop. The hotel is very clean and neat, my room was cleaned everyday. The staff are friendly, especially Emre. I had a lovely, spacious room. I always enjoy staying here when I'm in Istanbul.

Bed was extra firm and not top sheet, which is less comfortable to have a blanket directly on our skin than a sheet, then a blanket. So glad for the air conditioning!! Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel transfer was super helpful and easy to arrange through the hotel staff. The location was exceptional...just a few short blocks to the city square, market and withing 15 minute walk to the water front!
No top sheet (not fitted) on the bed.

Коммуникация персонала относительно парковки. На букинге указано что парковка бесплатная по предварительной резервации. Бронировать парковку нам отказались. Потом написали что она платная. Пришлось связываться в тех поддержкой букинга для помощи в этом вопросе

Am fost dezamăgită de experiența avută, în special de atitudinea și lipsa de implicare a domnului de la recepție. Am solicitat informații cu privire la parcarea în zona hotelului și la sistemul de parcare din Istanbul, însă nu a fost în măsură să ne explice concret unde putem parca, cum funcționează plata sau ce variante avem în apropierea hotelului. Având în vedere că parcarea în Istanbul poate fi destul de complicată pentru turiști, ne-am fi așteptat ca personalul de la recepție să ne ofere măcar informațiile de bază sau să ne îndrume către o soluție. Din păcate, acest lucru nu s-a întâmplat și a fost o experiență neplăcută pentru noi. De asemenea, micul dejun foarte sărăcăcios

La posizione é perfetta per visitare il cuore di Istanbul girando a piedi. Buona colazione a buffet e staff sempre molto gentile e disponibile per ogni esigenza.

Sicuramente la colazione. Inesistente nel dolce, scarsa nel salato. Era in comune con l'albergo economico della stessa proprietà, forse per questo era molto povera. Non avere la cassaforte nella stanza, ma nella sala comune è una mancanza.

Desayuno poco adaptado para alergias. Muebles algo antiguos y paredes con grietas.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026This is a welcoming hotel with comfortable beds, a traditional Turkish breakfast spread, attentive and friendly staff, and a perfect location for exploring the major attractions. We really enjoyed our stay. Our rooms had aircon and fridges for cold drinks and became an oasis of peace and cool when outside was hot and bustling.
Better coffee at breakfast would be a significant plus. The coffee machine does not make great coffee so we tended to go out and buy our own from one of the coffee shops just downstairs.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026Abbiamo prenotato 5 camere in 12.Lo staff sempre sorridente e disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta e consigli,le camere alcune ristrutturate pulite con cambi giornalieri degli asciugamani e rifacimento della camera tutte le mattine.La colazione prevalentemente salata ma buona e lo staff della colazione molto gentile. L'hotel si trova a 100 metri dalle due Mosche e molto vicino al tram T1, praticamente nel cuore di Sultanahamet.

We were in an older part of the hotel so our room had fewer outlets and lighting. But it was still workable.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026A reggeli teljesen jó volt. Minden nap ugyanaz, de mi csak 3 éjszakát voltunk, ettünk mindent, ami boldogsághoz kellett. Utolsó nap mivel korán mentünk ( fél 7-kor ) már nem volt lehetőség reggelizni, vannak szállodák, ahol ilyenkor készülnek, kis csomaggal, itt nem így volt, de emiatt nem szegtök kedvünk.
Nem tudok olyat mondani, végetlenül kedves és segítőkész személyzet. Az elhelyezkedés ennél jobb nem is lehetne, Karnyújtásnyira a mecsetek, és a hatalmas tér, az utca csendes, forgalommente, a tető teraszról rálátni a kék mecsetre és a tengerre. Nagyon jól éreztünk magunkat. A víz, te, és kávé koráltan fogyasztása a szálló vendégeknek nagyon jó megoldás.

Seven hills where you feed the seagulls is just opposite to Side. The room I stayed has comfortable bed size than the usual 3rd bed. Worth for what you pay.
A bit old. No elevator ( which I knew while booking) but I prioritized the location. Breakfast is average. Bathroom is a bit small.

Reviewed May 27, 2026Персоналът беше много мил. Пристигнахме рано сутринта и ни дадоха възможност да се възползваме от закуска още в деня на пристигането. Настаниха ни още при пристигането. Подсигуриха ни място за паркиране на колата и дори в деня на напускане на хотела ни дадоха възможност колата ни да остане за целия ден. Стаята беше достатъчно голяма за два възрастни и дете, беше много тихо и чисто.

Reviewed May 26, 2026Der deutschsprachige Mann am Empfang war sehr hilfreich, hatte gute Empfehlungen und hat auch über die aktuelle Lage der Türkei gesprochen. Deutsch und Englisch studiert, aber leider keinen Job in seinem Bereich gefunden. Ich drücke ihm die Daumen, dass es noch klappt.
Man müsste auf hohem Niveau klagen, also lasse ich es.

Reviewed May 11, 2026Location was excellent, breakfast option was good. room size were small. it looked quite fair in photos though. only one staff from the hotel team had smile on his face and talked nicely while others felt like they are just there.
Team can be more happy rather than looking sad I have paid less than this hotel but was never asked to pay for water. One guy told me its not free only tea is free while other guy told me its free. So not a good experience

Reviewed May 9, 2026Soggiorno di famiglia con due bambine di 5 e 6 anni che sono state coccolate dallo staff gentilissimo Posizione ottima per la visita di Sultanhamet, dista solo 2 minuti dalla piazza. Ottima pulizia. La colazione tipica turca è buona e genuina, servita a buffet e si tiene in terrazza panoramica coperta. In fase di realizzazione un ulteriore livello scoperto con vista su Aya Sophia per ora parzialmente praticabile.

Reviewed May 6, 2026La ubicación es lo más espectacular del Hotel tardas menos de cinco minutos a todo lo más importante que ver en Estambul. Desde luego si es tu primera vez merece muchísimo la pena aparte del trato excelente súper limpio acogedor el desayuno espectacular sin duda repetiría.

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026Side Hotel was the best in terms of value for money. The service and staff were excellent. The location is really stunning. You could reach The SultanAhmet/ Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia in 5 min. We walked in the area each night of our stay and never got bored. The T1 tram line is also close and will take you near Dolmabahce palace, the Galata tower, and to the ferries and other tram and metro lines. The BN1 bus lane will take to the Florya mall and Florya Aquarium. Breakfast was an open buffet. It was clean and satisfying. The room was good. It was big, clean and well ventilated.
Everything was good in general. The only things that I disliked a bit were that the bathroom didn't have a window, so it was not well ventilated (even though a fan was present) and a small spots of humidity were present on the ceiling. The second thing was that the streets outside were always lit by night and the curtains didn't make the room dark enough for the children to sleep fast. However, these things didn't bother me or any member of the family.

We had difficulties with the airport transfer. Our flight was delayed 2 hours and I contacted the hotel about the delay but I arrived at the airport and had to take a taxi. At first they wanted me to pay for the transfer we didn’t use.

Reviewed Apr 13, 2026Az ágyak kényelmesek voltak, a szoba, fürdőszoba tiszta volt. A reggeli finom, és bőséges volt. Ezen felül nagyon jó illat volt a szobákban.
A tartózkodásunk alatt felújítás folyt a szállodában, de a fejlőségnek ára van. Csak nap közben folytak a munkálatok, a pihenésünket nem zavarta.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026I have stayed at this property several times since 2010. I like its location as it is quiet and aloso central to two of the most iconic places in Istanbul Haghia Sofia and The Blue Mosque
It does need an elevator as you have to carry your luggage up to your room - BUT I believe they are addressing this issue and one is being created and will be available in the near future
