Swan House

Very warm and inviting place to stay. The breakfast was good but the little touches like homemade cookies was what really made it. I chose it for the bikes they have available to take out visiting the different wineries, which was super easy and an amazing inclusion. The hosts could not have been more hospitable :)

Friendly, attentive, informative, always available hosts. Almost everything imaginable was available in the room. Nice breakfast included.

Excellent Continental breakfast plus others interesting goodies provided. Additional toiletries not normally provided at b&b's.

Thanks to the warm welcome and the detailed explanations, I was convinced that my stay would be absolutely wonderful. I hired a bicycle to visit various wineries, where I enjoyed delicious food and wine. I’ll never forget the homemade biscuits at Swan House either. I enjoyed them on the terrace with a cup of hot coffee. Birds were playing in the well-tended gardens, and with the gentle breeze blowing, I had a truly delightful time.

I couldn’t find a single fault with it.

The room had everything you needed, plus the personal touches.

A little more soundproofing of the walls would be the only thing I would suggest.

Room is neat and tidy, the ground are well kept, the house was decorated, we had coffee, tea and condiments!

The towels might benefit from an update 🤔

Continental breakfast was excellent, Nice tidy good size room, TV channels were awkward to work out was the only issue couldn't seem to get the channels 1 2 and 3.

We had a big room, that was comfy, clean and kitted out with everything. The bed was comfy and warm.

The TV was quite a way away from the seats and small.

Hosts were friendly and welcoming. All the little touches like home made cookies, complementry continental breakfast, and free use of bikes to get around.

Hosts were so lovely and welcoming. The location was fantastic, easy walk to town eateries etc. The bikes were great for cycling to the beautiful vineyards too. Bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. Lots of lovely little touches, they had thought of everything.

Didn't love the wet room style bathroom. The floor always felt wet. Along with all of the surfaces due to the steam. Definitely need a heated towel rail to dry wet bath mat and towels and more hanging hooks provided to keep clothes etc off wet floor and surfaces. This is the only negative thing to mention.

The weather gods didn’t smile upon us for our stay in Martinborough. However if you are limited by the weather then Swan House is a pleasant place to stay. A spacious, comfortable, well appointed room. A nice outlook into the garden, pleasant helpful hosts and continental breakfast. Highly recommend. Bikes are available for touring around the area.

Graham the host was very welcoming and made excellent suggestions for places for us to visit , and eat. Great location with easy walk to village square , loved the French Bakery. Very comfortable and quiet units with lovely seating areas outside. Good breakfast food. Loved using the bikes to cycle around the vineyards Really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Swan House is just a beautiful place, calm, quiet and pleasing to the eye. It’s close to the village centre, to the wineries and it’s easy to find Venessa and Graeme are friendly, welcoming and responsive - great hosts.

I made the mistake of parking under a large tree so the birds had a field day playing target practice. Nothing a good car wash couldn't fix.

The breakfast was left in the fridge and cupboards. A great array of spreads, tea and Nespresso coffee. Home made biscuits, muesli, milk, orange juice and toast. There were a lot of nice touches like little soaps, tampax, teeth flossers in the bathroom as well as on the wall to use. A spacious main room, a large smart tv with access to Netflix, uTube, sky including sport and the usual assortment of channels. The beds were very comfortable. The garden outside was stunning with beautiful flowers, table and chairs in various spaces, and loungers as well as a large umbrella. A 5 min walk from town this is an ideal place to stay and relax. I would certainly return here and I highly recommend it.

Graeme and Venessa were extremely welcoming. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The gardens are beautifully cared for. There is a lot of love put into the service. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

It was very private in a lovely garden. The hosts were very nice to speak to. Breakfast was very nice and simple. A perfect place for a break in Martinborough.

Breakfast consisted of orange fruit drink, certainly not orange juice. The fruit provided was a little carton of mixed fruit floating in syrup which is readily available in the supermarket, the coffee was a sachet of instant coffee and we served ourselves in our room. This is not my understanding of bed and breakfast! We parked our car in the allocated space for guests. We had to leave early next morning. We were horrified to find that at least half the car was covered in bird droppings and tree debris. We couldn't see a hose to clean it. We had to return the car that morning so it was a real issue.

We stayed here during a storm and the whole area had an electrical power outage. The owner went out of his way to boil a kettle on his camping stove so we could have a cup of tea in the morning, very welcome. Martinborough was easily walkable.

Home made cookies were delicious, also the homemade museli - we also enjoyed the comfortable beds and the beautiful gardens

I had a lovely stay at the Swan House, the location was great just a short stroll to the town square, the room was lovely and hosts were wonderful, they even went out of their way to drop me to the wedding reception I was there to attend which was very much appreciated. A great place to stay. Thank you!

The owners Graham and Vanessa were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They were always available if need be but never intrusive. Presentation of the rooms was immaculate and thoughtfulness of amenities amazing ... home made cookies, bread, fresh milk, juice, yummy muesli, list goes on! Bathroom products included makeup remover wipes - fabulous!! Beautiful gardens, lovely little stream, ample parking and a sense of fun! I loved the little gnomes in a little hollow by the stream! Bikes and lots of information available too!

Graeme made me feel very welcome. Greeted me on arrival, and discussed the history of the area and told me places to visit. The free breakfast selection was great. the bed was very comfy and the room was very quite and comfortable. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in Martinborough. Graeme said goodbye as I left.

Beautiful room, gardens and deck area. Very comfortable bed and a nice firm pillow. The in room continental breakfast was just right for us. Table and chairs plus a nice sofa. Walking distance to the square and the restaurant options there.

Swan House sits in beautiful garden. We had breakfast outside surrounded by flowers. There are no cooking facilities but breakfast supplies are plentiful. It's a perfect spot for a weekend getaway.

We’d had a hectic travel day from Australia and found A quiet cottage with homelike feels. Close to town but far enough to be so quiet and comfortable at night. Slept like a baby. Bed was SO comfy. Garden was perfection. Hosts were amazing and couldn’t help enough.
