Reviewed Sep 17, 2026The only thing that can be liked is the location. The accommodation is being marketed is 5 star but in reality it is more of a 3 star facility, the photos are very deceiving. From the outside it looks great but inside it is old and crumpy.
We stayed in the Majestic Room, booked 2 nights but stayed only 1. Firstly lots of stairs which were not declared. The bathroom is very small no more than 2mx1m. No ventilation in bathroom, lots of mould in floor areas, shower floor in terrible state, blinds in bathroom broken. Just a horrible little space. Then the main bedroom area, a lot of patchy electrical cables and wiring, a lot of wires visible in corner of roof, outer bathroom wall patchy paintwork or mould, TV is also faulty, it changes in colours. In entrance blinds are broken at the bottom, to the left as you enter paintwork in room is terrible and bubbling. Faulty light bulbs. There is absolutely nothing "majestic" about this room except for the view. We booked for 2 nights, decided to leave after the first night. I took pictures and would have like to upload them as evidence.

Reviewed Mar 12, 2026The room was lovely and very well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. All the facilities were modern and worked perfectly during my stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience.
Unfortunately, for a business traveller with luggage, it is not very practical to carry suitcases up and down so many stairs. This is challenging, especially for lady guests staying for work or travelling with heavier bags.

Reviewed May 12, 2025Ella gave us a warm welcome after a long drive. The bed was absolutely super comfy and everything was immaculate clean. The Wifi was fast. The room has the most beautiful views over the city and Table Mountain and I enjoyed to see the aeroplanes approaching for landing at the airport. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Although the car was parked in a mark site on the street side of the property, which was not fenced the car was safe in this quiet neighbourhood.

All the outside stairs to reach the apartment! This really should be mentioned on the property details. I have a slight balance issue and this made things a lot more difficult for me , especially carrying a luggage bag. Thank goodness it wasn’t raining! The bathroom was very small and the shower floor really could do with an upgrade. Black mould ingrained in the grouting is not a good feature. The room was quite dark.

Reviewed Jan 31, 2024The bed was exceptionally comfortable, which is a win if you are there for a week. Cupboard space and TV set up were great. The aircon is both a positive and a negative: on the plus side it was lovely and cool to work in the room, especially when it was so hot outside. Although self-catering, there was tea, coffee, milk and sugar as well as biscuits to have through my stay. The kitchenette had everything I needed - a large fridge, warm plate and microwave. The view is wonderful, especially at night.
Continuing from the aircon being great during the day when I was working, during the night the automatic timer turned it off every two hours and the ensuing heat in the room woke me up and I had to restart it...every two hours. So could not sleep through the night. You could also hear the little dog's paws running up and down on the floor above my room - it was not overly loud (just non-stop) and I have a dog at home so was used to it. Shower floor could do with regrouting.

Air conditioning didnt work in the middle of summer. When we complained we were told just to open the windows... The owner wasn't very accommodating, didn't offer any compensation or anything, even a small gesture would've sufficed. Instead we were told that we are not being forced to stay if we weren't happy.
