Absolutely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience – Avoid at All Costs! I had an incredibly frustrating and embarrassing experience with Glory Bush Boutique Villa Nuwara Eliya. I made a reservation for the 21st of June (booked on the 16th) for a group of five friends. When we arrived in Nuwara Eliya in the evening and contacted the hotel to inquire about dinner, I was shocked by the response from a staff member named Hiruni. She rudely claimed that I had called and canceled the booking, which was absolutely false I had not contacted them at all until that call. This was not just unprofessional but extremely embarrassing as I was with a group of friends who had traveled expecting our stay to be sorted. When I asked for a solution, her exact words were, “I don’t know, we don’t have rooms and our hotel is booked two weeks in advance.” First, she blamed me for cancelling the booking, and then she contradicted herself saying the hotel was already fully booked. Clearly, they had given away our room without even bothering to inform me, and made up a story to cover it. No apology, no real help, and absolutely no accountability. After 30 minutes, I received a half-hearted call from the hotel again saying “sorry” but with no solution just passing the blame and brushing it off. This hotel has zero respect for guests, zero professionalism, and no sense of responsibility. I strongly advise others to stay away from this place unless you want your trip ruined with last-minute surprises. Check thoroughly and think twice before trusting them with your booking. There are far better places in Nuwara Eliya where your booking and dignity will be respected.

Triple deluxe room we booked was spacious, would have held 3 adults and a child comfortably. Meals can be planned beforehand and the portions are very adequate. All in all, real value for money

The Glory Bush villa is a separate and free place. The staff there treated us with a smile and kindness. Manager Prasanna gave us everything we asked for with a smile. He and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I didn’t write this review; I don’t know how this happened.

We stayed 2 nights in Daisy family room. It was very comfortable. The parking facility available in front of the resort is easy to reach and had enough space. The staff gave us a great service. We were fortunate to have delicious new year treat, and the meals were so good.The billiard place gave more value to the resort. All the staff members treated us friendly. Felt like home. Thank you Prasanna and all the staff members.

we spent fantastic two nights at Glory bush villa and it was calm and quiet. the staff was very friendly and they supply everything we asked. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Staff was friendly and supportive. The Hotel offered us a big room with mountain view without any additional charge instead reserved room. WIFI speed was good.

We had to park the vehicle 300m away from the hotel since the access road was under construction and the hotel was under some repairs, I guess we were the only guest in the hotel due to these conditions and we were unaware of any since we made the reservation with limited info at Booking.com It was an uncomfortable experience, not a good practice to keep these things uninformed for anyone planning to visit. Anyway the staff found parking at the roadside for us and carried our bags. Other than that it was fair.

We were served by only one person called Prasanna he was excellent. He was a versatile person, Who was a good cook, a good receptionist, Good waiter also a house keeper.

The room heater did not work on the second day. The management should invest in room heaters.

Great location, easy access to town. The scenery from our room balcony was stunning and added a unique touch to our stay. Highly recommend!

The hospitality, service and cleanliness of the hotel was awesome. The care taker "Prasanna" was available even when we checked IN late and made all arrangements necessary to make us comfortable. Kudos to him!! We were happy with our stay and will surely book again whenever we visited Sri Lanka again.

The breakfast was delightful. The hot water and other facilities were as advertised, which we greatly appreciated. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making our stay pleasant.

The access road to the property is in poor condition, which made reaching the location somewhat challenging. Improving this would enhance the overall guest experience.

This place is recommending for a good leisure stay. We spent one night there the host prasanna is very supportive and the room we stayed was very clean.Also a very calm place. I think this place met our expectations.

It was a great stay, we were group of 15 ppl with kids. Nice clean rooms . We got hot water, great views from the balcony. Nice blanket to keep warm. Prasanna took care of us by helping us order pizza from Pizza Hut, arranging plates and other cutlery for the group. We had a great time at the snooker table which was a pleasant surprise. Rooms of different type we got a balcony room I would recommend that.

Access was a bit awkward but ok They don’t have any breakfast options in house so plan accordingly

The stay was very good....the person managing the property was very welcoming...there was some confusion as regards our booking not confirmed etc but then it was sorted in no time.... Also provided us with a heater as it was very cold. The rest of the stay was good.

Only thing I didn't like was they insisted on cash payment upon check out citing card machine not working / not available which was pretty odd...we ended up burrowing cash from our guide to clear the payment...

The rooms were impeccably clean and the bathrooms were spotless, which made my stay all the more comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring I had a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful view from my room - it was truly breathtaking. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and friendly. They were always ready to assist with a smile, which added a personal touch to my stay. The hotel's proximity to Gregory Lake was another plus. It was just a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.

Staff is good and very co-operative. Beds are good. Feeling chill so they offered room heater at night. Overall its a good stay.

Room were smelling bit, could be due to cold weather and room was closed. There were little dust beside beds and here and there. Bathroom is bit small. Can be improved

We had a great time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly. We stayed at Rose room and it was clean and tidy.. And we loved the atmosphere there. Didn't get a time to taste their food but we will definitely give them a try next time.

The only thing we hated there was the sound of pigeons walking on the roof.. it was a bit uncomfortable. We hope you'll come up with a solution for this.

The room is very spacious, I like that it has a balcony to witness the beautiful view. Western breakfast was good , loved the service here . Both manager and manoj were very friendly and helpful.

The location is a little bit out of the town , but nearer to seetha aman temple. The pathway to get to this property was a road full of stone which our driver find it difficult.

It's a family friendly villa which we stayed at for the second time. The caretaker and his team took a lot of care to make us comfortable and made sure we enjoyed our meals.

I wish the hotel management would repair the road to this little villa.

The owners have let the place run down.Mould everywhere. Don't look too closely .Dirty . My wife was gagging due to the sewerage smell. False advertising the property.

Excellent stay at glory bush hotel with amazing staff on hand. We had a seamless check in process with Roy and Prasanna assisting with our bags and ensuring we had a settled in well. Staff also provided great recommendations on local restaurant options and were generally very friendly and approachable. Room size was excellent and generally clean. Beds where comfortable and ammenties such as soap was provided. Prasanna assisted with connecting to the fast in room wifi. Breakfast was provided at the requested time by the staff and looked amazing. Food was freshly prepared and well presented. Staff brought our bags down whilst we ate and ensured a seamless check out process.

Room did not have an AC or fans, this can make the room a uncomfortable during the day time. However at night once the weather cools, the rooms are at a nice temperature.

We checked in very late and we were the only guest here due to off season. The staff Prashant was very nice and kind to help us with the luggage. And their breakfast was such an amazing breakfast and they prepared a lot for just 2 people so our driver joined us. One of the best sri lankan breakfast I tried there. Honestly, they're all very hospitable.

It was tiny bit creepy because we were only 2 young ladies in this huge house.. But we settled in and everything was good.

They have cancelled my booking without informing me. We were very helpless when we reached there. They said they have sent a free cancellation (that I didn't received to my mail) and cancelled without my knowledge. At least they should inform prior to arrival. Too bad .....

If you’re looking for the centre of Nuwara Eliya, this is a little further out… it didn’t bother us as we like to walk but that is the only downside!

It's up on a hill... hence, nice view. Unfortunately, was unable to see the sunrise as it was cloudy & misty. The staff - Roy & Prasana - was friendly & accommodating.
