Asmali Hotel

Nice breakfast on the roof terrace beautiful view and very nice staff. Very great brothers and sisters. 15 minutes walk to ayah Sofia lots of restaurants and services minutes away.

We loved our stay at Asmali! First, upon arrival we were checked in early and upgraded to a beter room then we booked. Our room was spacious, quiet even though next to the road, very clean and comfortable. We had our room cleaned daily with fresh towels. And the breakfast! What a feast. Everyday was a delicious buffet! Cooked fresh and absolutely mouth watering. A good selection of coffee, teas and juices! The rooftop is spectacular with views on the blue mosque and sea. The location is wonderful and the staff marvellous. We will book here again on our return visit. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Helpful staff. Clean property

Rooms very outdated but hotel in good area, waking distance to many attractions

Breakfast is good. Location is good.

Hotel is fine, but rooms are very small. Corridor, hallway is extremely small.

The hotel is in a very central location, a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern. It's also very close to public transports and easy to reach by taxi. Breakfast is decent, wifi works and the staff is super helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect – right in the heart of the city, close to everything. The place was super clean, and the hosts provided us with lots of helpful information about what to see and do. The breakfast was also a highlight – big, self-service, and very good. Definitely recommend!

The only small downside was the bed – it could be a bit more comfortable, and the double bed was a bit small (130x190). But overall, a great stay and we’d happily come back!

Hello, The check in experience was mixed. The basement room I received & the photos hotel sent via Expediya wasnot the same. Plese check yourself now. Sorry for not completing the check in experience early because I was warned that an early feedback can put me in trouble. Why you Expedia guys are so lame & duff & asking early experience in a different country where I could be in a very serious trouble. Please wait till I return to UK. Absolutely nonsence.

The staff who served us were very professional and friendly, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and with several options . The hotel is centrally located for walking to many famous sites, such as the Blue Mosque is a 5-minute walk away, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern are about a 10-minute walk away, and the Grand Bazaar is about a 20-minute walk away. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing breakfast , great location with fantastic roof terrace and excellent view -

Amazing location beautiful area.

Very poor working air condition, very hard bed- not comfortable, not much food choice for breakfast

Hotel in a very nice neighborhood walking distance to historic Sultanahmet, view of the Bosphore at breakfast on its terrace, the plus is the friendliness of the host, we mentioned to him our shower head had given up and he had it fixed right that day, it was a breeze booking and staying there, on our request we had a safe shuttle at our departure to the airport. Recommended!

The location of the hotel is perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the blue mosque. The roof tip terrace is super nice. Staff is friendly and always ready to help. The rooms are a litttle bit outdated, but fulfilled its purpose. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices, many local dishes. We had a really good time.

I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel during my visit to Istanbul. The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk from all the main attractions I wanted to see, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The staff were exceptionally courteous and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They helped me arrange a taxi to the airport with no hassle, and what truly stood out was their kindness when I accidentally left behind some souvenirs I had purchased for my family. To my surprise and gratitude, they managed to mail them to my next hotel in Turkey. That level of service is rare and truly appreciated. Each morning, the breakfast was an absolute delight—more like a daily feast—with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. It was the perfect way to start the day. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul. The warm, helpful staff and excellent location made it a memorable stay.

They did amazing!

Location and cleanness, good breakfast on the roof

Everything ok.

Walking distance Hagia Sofia & Blue Mosque and other shopping places. Staff very helpful.

1. They forgot to clean the gabbage from the previous customer made smelly bathroom. Hope to improve in future. 2. The laundry not dry enough. Hope to improve in future.

The owner is very polite and sweet. Transfer was on time, and the breakfast was also good. Good value for money.

Water taps need to be newer:)

What can i say ? I'll start with the positives first. The staff at the hotel are great and always there to help, quite a good location to visit the blue mosque and grand bazaar and other local tourist sites. The negatives no lifts so if you are elderly or have problems walking up the stairs stay away. I had room 303 with a broken toilet seat and a faulty flush. Beds are ok but not very comfy. Pillow cases were stained, lamp shade partially broken. There are currently road works outside the property and the entrance to the hotel is not great or safe to use. The breakfast is simple and ok. As for eating out around the hotel a few restaurants offer the same food with average 800 liras + drinks. For some reason i have pics but its not letting me upload the.

Location, staff.

Nothing in particular. Madraces and pilows could be bettwr

The location is excellent with a short walk to Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. The neighbourhood is relatively quiet for Istanbul and very convenient for public transport like taxi and tram. The breakfast is served on the top floor or on the terrace which was really nice on sunny mornings as it had a great view of local attractions. The bedding and linen were basic but clean, and considering the price to be expected.

Hotel in historical center with rooftop terras always available, super. The most friendly and helpfull management ever, thanks again!

Great location, clean, cozy room, excellent breakfast. The hosts were also very nice.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is in the old center, near the Blue Mosque, markets, 10 minutes from the public transport. The staff is very kind, telling you what you can visit in Istanbul. The breakfast is varied. The quadruple rooms are a little bit small. But the bathroom is big enough and clean.

The host was very kind and helpful. Great location! Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend!

The stay was just amazing, for this money, this is perfect variant. The food was delicious. Yes this is not 5 star hotel, but you pay not so much. Great hotel for this price. I would say amazing. Thank you.

It was to hot during the night :) This is great, but from other side, not so much great.

Great location, perfect breakfast, very kind hotel staff. Furniture is a bit older, but beds are very good.

The strategical location is great (near Hagia Sophia Mosque by walk in 5-10 mins). The bathroom is clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff was friendly manner However, it's not suitable for bringing heavy travel baggage (preferred for backpacking) as there's no elevator and the stairs is not spacious. The bed was not soft (likely a board)

Good experience

Close to mosque

A little smaller than it looked on the internet

The staff was very friendly, the location of the hotel is wonderful, we enjoyed our stay greatly. A nice hotel in the old town centre with many landmarks and sightseeing options, everything is in walking distance from the hotel.

The personal is very freindly

Personale cortese e disponibile. Nei pressi di piazza Sultanahmet. Locali nei dintorni. Tram a 10 minuti a piedi.

From the second we arrived Cafer went over and beyond to make us feel welcome. He gave advise as to which sights to see with directions too. Breakfast was also good. Accommodation is always better if the host is pleasant and that is exactly what we got. Thanks for being so amazing to me and my family. We appreciate it

Location and breakfast menu

Pessoas simpáticas, café da manhã bom,

Great location, very clean.

Small rooms

On arrival we met Bashir. He welcomed us with a smile. He came to help us to carry our suitcase. Both receptionist were accomodating and always happy to make our stay comfortable. They guided us with our daily trip to visit places. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia is around 7 mins walk from hotel. The Grand bazaar is around 20 mins walk. Breakfast was served on top floor, with great view, be mindful there is no lift but we were fine climbing stairs. We will love to revisit Asmali hotel again. We enjoyed our stay.

Erg gedateerd. Kamer heeft geen verduistering gordijn. Er is geen lift Personeel erg vriendelijk. Uitgebreid ontbijt Alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand

Good location. Nice staff.

Clean affordable hotel in a great location.

Great location, nice staff and safe place

Nvt

Very central

Otelin konumu ve yeri, park yerinin olması, personelin güleryüzlü olması, sabah kahvaltısı ...... her şey güzeldi.

Location, great rooftop terrace, excellent breakfasts and very helpful staff.

Staff very helpful. Lovely breakfast - roof top also available but surrounded by netting so photography awkward. Very handy location to main tourist attractions.

Location in narrow back street very difficult to access by car both on arrival and on departure. Even GPS of limited use due to one way streets in the area. No lift in main building and strange floor/room numbering in annex with lift.

Great place close to no all the attractions

Helpful and friendly staff. good breakfast available till 10:30 with open terrace to sit in the sun and enjoy. Quiet location close to sites and restaurants

Location

Nothing

Clean, easy access, nice staff

It's sometimes noisy you can hear people talking outside and there's construction working on the other side

Perfect location! Loved staying in The “old” town of Istanbul. Very close to the Blue Mosque and open market.

Elevator was broken

I was very happy with the staff, especially the owner and the Egyptian student working at night. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything, including booking taxis.

Quad room, good for a family. Breakfast is superb. Bed comfy and bathroom easy and clean.

Nothing really.

We had great service from the staff. They arranged a 4am airport taxi for us, and walked us to the taxi with an umbrella, as it was pouring rain. The area was quieter than some other parts of Istanbul, which was a welcome reprieve.

The hotel is located only about six minutes walking distance to Sultanahmet Square. It has a wonderful breakfast buffet which is included in the room rate. The variety of the offerings was pleasantly surprising and super tasty. Also you can enjoy your breakfast on the terrace with the views of Sultanahmet Mosque on one side and Bosphorus on the other. The reception personnel was very helpful with our questions. The hotel is about 10 mins walking distance to the tram line through which you can reach to Eminonu (where spice bazaar / Egyptian Bazaar is) and Sirkeci district from which one can transfer to the ferry lines. Also the hotel is about 20 mins walking distance to the Grand Bazaar. When considering the price/value proposition, proximity to the attractions, well over average breakfast offering and to die for view of the terrace make this hotel a no brainer choice for us.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Inclusive breakfast was good. Room was quiet with functioning as

Features are a little tired with flaking pain, problem cables wrapped in tape etc, but all essentials provided and appropriate to the amount I paid.

Location frendy owner best breakfast secure atea

I was there with my wife, personel were kindness. All main atractives of Sultanhmet were very close. It has a terrace with a beautiful view. It is a convenient and confortable place to stay in.

Her konuda başarılı. Güzel açık büfe kahvaltı, odalar konforlu ve gayet temiz. Bölge konumu olarak merkezi.

In the heart of the best part of Istanbul, the Sultanahmet. All the tourist attractions, restaurants and markets are in this area. All walking distance and we never once needed public transport. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A good bargain price hotel.

Simple but clean accomodation with very friendly helpful staff and very close to all the attractions.

Was good

Not complains

The hotel is in a very convenient location to Sophia Hagia/ Blue Mosque; we walked almost everywhere and occasionally took the tram to get to other places. The hotel itself seems older, but the staff we met at the front desk—Cafer, Beshir, Atam (not sure if I spelled their names correctly) were so friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very nice with lots of healthy options. We loved our time in Istanbul!

Good hotel with excellent free breakfast to stay close to Blue mosque and Sofia.

The property is in poor condition, Very dated, no elevator, not enough room for luggage, mold growing in the sink. But the people working there made up for it. The staff is helpful, caring, kind and very professional.

Fantastic location! Close to attractions in old city Sultanahmet, great nigh life and host is very helpful. They provided parking space which is great for someone coming by car. It was safe and the they made the stay very enjoyable. Breakfast is good and when we left (very early) - as we had to drive a long way - they offered some sandwiches for us. WIll return if will have the chance. Thanks

Liked staff and location.

Nothing at all
