The Village in Hatfield

Friendly staff, bedding was warm and comfortable. Facilities were easy to access. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

The blinds were not closing on the lounge. Windows weren't easy to close.

The location is brilliant, the room was clean.

I struggled with WI-FI connectivity, i also had the bathroom outside my bedroom. These factors does not mean the property was not great. Next time ill select the rooms with ensuite bathroom.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very neat. Will definitely come back there again

The warm water tap in the shower was lukewarm at best and would cut to cold water several times.

The staff was welcoming, explained everything that i need to know, the room was clean, great wifi connection, in a safe neighborhood.

Nice rooms the single beds were big actually and comfy. The rooms were so warm since it's winter we were catered for that I even forgot it's cold outside.

The location is easly accessible and close to the university and the staff was very friendly and welcoming

The place need renovations. The bed mattress was uncomfortable, the floor mat and tile was very dirty,the kitchen cupboards are old and smelly. Bathroom shower tap old and difficult to control and window hadles are rusted and difficult to controll aswell ....the quality of their toilet rolls is questionable.😕

We were at university graduation so it was extremely close. We needed to change after a long trip and The Village were very helpful with this. We had a great saty and could park the car inside the property.

The double bed was very soft otherwise it was an excellent stay.

Everthing, excellent place and value!

The property has a beautiful exterior, with a lovely yard, seating area and an excellent location. The outdoor spaces were definitely the highlight of the stay and created a very pleasant atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the rooms themselves felt dated and could benefit from some upgrading, particularly the furniture and bathrooms. While the bed linen appeared fresh and clean, some of the towels had a musty smell, as though they had not dried properly. One of the bathrooms also appeared not to have been cleaned properly and another had a drainage/clogging issue. During our stay, a shower door also came off while being used, which added to the sense that certain areas of the property require maintenance and refurbishment.

The staff didn't show us the swimming pool, which we only figured out when leaving.

We were offered an alternative room when our original room was not to our satisfaction. The new room was light and had comfortable seating. The bed was comfortable and the location was safe with secure parking. A 10 minute easy walk from the Gautrain (during the daytime) and 15 minutes to the town centre.

The original room offered was dark and lacked comfortable seating. Like all rooms it also lacked the advertised dedicated washing machine and dryer in the room. The owner went out of their way to offer a different room and indicated that we could use the laundry in the communal kitchen). The owner indicated they would correct the detail on line. The shower was rather temperamental.

Very nice pool.

It was not value for money. Not worth the price charged. Not much effort put in to making stay comfortable. Our room wasn’t available so we were given another room. The noise in the morning outside our bedroom woke us. There were people smoking weed right outside our room. We also had a terrible sewerage smell in the room.

They welcomed us so warmly and the place is so peaceful and beautiful…. And they attend to your requests quickly 😊♥️

They should at least provide us with little soap , brush and shower caps and bathing towels in case I forgot mine

The manager/owner was warm and friendly! The room was beyond awesome! Fresh fruit and yoghurt was available for breakfast allthough we didnt pay or requist it! Top quality coffee and tea in the gorgeous kitchen, not the cheap stuff like at other guesthouses! I would recommend this place ANY time.

I actually stayed in the Village for a month. I booked an additional night due to early arrival on my Fordham University course. I really enjoyed the village and Esme, Len and their staff really made me and my cohort feel right at home. Nothing was a bother for them. They have hosted Fordham students and teaching faculty for years and have treated us like family. I strongly recommend this B and B and I hope my cohort will drop by the village for a reunion.
