Ladybrand Guest House

The guesthouse was clean and neat, rooms were excellent. Check in was good and I was most appreciative for the packed breakfast.

This is not the fault of the guesthouse but the road leading to the guesthouse (New Road) is in a terrible state and could deter future clients. Perhaps in the future the Ladybrand municipality will get round to fixing the roads!

We liked everything about the place. The hospitality was exceptional. Breakfast was warm and delicious. We were allowed to change rooms the following day after we requested a room that has a balcony and that was amazing.

There was nothing we could actually say we did not like because we were treated with warmth and we could not even pin point anything that was negative there.

The approach road on the one side was shocking. The approach from the other side was alright.

Niets eigenlijk. Alleen meisje bij de receptie was heel aardig.

De ligging van het guesthouse. Via tomtom of google adres heel slecht te vinden. Je moet iemand daar in de buurt vragen andets vond je het niet. En de straten in Ladybrand zijn verschrikkelijk slecht. De straat van het cuesthouse is geen straat maar een greffelweg met gaten. Accomodatie niet goed schoon en slecht onderhouden. Bedden waren knetterhard. Eigenaar niet eens voorgesteld wat je toch wel verwacht.(normaal doen ze dat wel) Gewoon verschrikkelijk,wij gaan daar nooit meer heen wat een bende helaas.

All was good, no dislikes.

The family room it's so private that you have your own braai stand and a beautiful pool and garden view.

The shower 🚿 does not have a shower head. Nevertheless, we enjoyed it.

The electric blanket was a game changer because the place was cold

I like the fountain that was near my room and could hear it even at night.

The staff made the stay very pleasant.

The layout of the room was excellent because all that I needed was at hand and the receptionist attended to my request for breakfast.

We had travelled for 8 hours, much of it on really bad Free State roads ~ shocking, really ~ so we we were exhausted on arrival. The road to the property was also in need of repair, but arriving there was like finding an oasis. Lavona was super helpful and efficient, an absolute treat to see that our suite was at the pool, lovely gardens, green lawn, big comfortable room, well equipped ~ we were hoping to be there another night just to enjoy the place and recharge, but could not extend our trip to Gauteng. We also had a great meal at Cranberry Cottage, recommended by Lavona. If I had to make any critical comment it would be that the rave reviews of the brekkie which I read before booking did not quite match what we had, although it was good and prepared with love no doubt! Would most definitely recommend to others! Thank you !

I am big on good quality (preferably organic) food without preservatives/colourants and other unnatural ingredients that are not good for us. Sadly much of the brekkie things had these ingredients in ~ I get that in a 5 star place and also having access to such produce, it would be different (possibly) so it's not really a criticism others may not be bothered by so many Es and unnecessary additives

Off a dirt road but used to that as lived in Eswatini. Room very clean, bed fine. no complaints. did not eat as left early

I was travelling with friends, we got a room with pool Infront, the internet was excellent,the staff were friendly. Breakfast was tops and the pictures were as shown when booking.everything was perfect

The weather was not good so we were not able to use the pool.it was cold

The guest house had everything we needed, from extra blankets since it was cold, aircon, Wi-Fi, Dstv, the room had a kitchen with a stove, microwave, fridge and enough kitchen supplies like plates and cups, etc. The were enough towels for us, and the toilet and shower was very neat. The place was cosy and simply exceptional. The breakfast was delicious. Good value for money.

Breakfast was Superb , Very good Value for Money, I would definitely recommend Ladybrand Guesthouse.

The heated blankets are a life saver! Despite it being freezing cold we had a relaxed and warm night. The room is simple, but has everything you need. I wouldnt call the breakfast exceptional (as advertised by booking) but it's okay. People with a sweet tooth will enjoy it. The check in and check out was very easy, thank you for that! It was a good place to spend a night during our travels.

Unfortunately...Room1-4 is situated on the boundary with a VERY noisy neighbor who was entertaining till 2pm.

The family apartment was spacious and homely. We were served a generous and tasty breakfast. We asked to change to rooms so that my elderly parents could be closer to us and the staff were helpful. The location is at the edge of town so it's quiet.

The SATNAV took us down another road which was not very good- would have got stuck in the mud had it been raining. The gentleman living on that street said everyone ends up there. So a warning about this would be helpful, especially when traveling late at night.
